These living flame gas fires are an attractive way to bring a fireplace to life.
They can give up to 3kw of radiant heat.
The ceramic coals have random shapes giving the fires a very realistic effect when alight. All fires are fitted with the latest ODS (oxygen depletion system) pilot for maximum safety. With the manual version the knob has to be pushed in and turned to light the fire.
Although a satisfactory product it’s appearance and heat generation was spoiled by insuffient coals – missing another layer in my fireplace (similar to the one on the listing)…..a temporary solution was to make the base layer with 6cm coals (as opposed to 4.5cm) from the old 30yr+ gas coal fire.
I would like to hear the suppliers comments on this since their product is of good quality (so far so good) ?
Replaced original one like for like good product instead of buying 1500 pound fire
Take out the old fire basket. Get the chimney swept. Must be fitted by Gas Safe registered engineer but end result is worth it. Cosy & warm without the mess.
A simple fire at a reasonable price just what I wanted.
Bought this fire to replace an older model and am so glad I did! The seller contacted me to check I was happy with size and gas type which was a nice touch – our fitter was really impresssed by the quality and it came with everything needed to fit it and clear instructions, also really liked the realistic coals that were included, fire is toasty warm and I’m very happy!
