This item is attractive as well as functional, so it does not necessarily have to sit in the kitchen, if space is limited.
Although the jars are fully stocked and sealed there is no way of knowing what their shelf life is. This may not be a big problem but herbs do degrade over very long periods.

I have been looking around for a new spice rack and with this special offer, I decided to go for this one. It was only slightly more expensive than empty spice racks (unbranded and with mixed reviews) seen on Amazon.
I received it today and well impressed. The design is super sleek, it looks sturdy and it is already filled with herbs and spices.
We have not used it yet so cannot comment on the spices but just the look of it brings me joy.
It’s very classy looking, sturdy and does the job. We liked it that much we bought another for a family members anniversary.
Attractive spice holder for the kitchen, swivel function handy. Improvements – the silver looks slightly tarnished after a while, could be more compact to save on space, more sweet spices could have been included.

Bei Bedarf knnte ich das ganze Karussell rausnehmen und auf den Tisch stellen-es sieht ja auch noch sehr schn aus! Ich fragte mich nur was ich tte, wenn mir mal ein Glas kaputtgehen sollte…? Das wird sich dann zeigen. Auf alle Flle sind sie haltbar- den ersten Runterwurf haben zwei unbeschadet berlebt…
Es wurden auch blanko Ersatzaufkleber mitgeliefert, falls das Bedrfnis nach dem Austausch eines Gewrzes besteht. Der Normalpreis wre mir fr einen Internetkauf zu hoch gewesen. Ich habe “nur” knapp 50 bezahlt – dafr hatte ich es riskiert. Beim Aufdrehen des Deckels, um die Schttlcher freizulegen, ffnet sich manchmal der ganze Deckel mit. Das sehe ich aber nur als Zeichen dafr, dass alles sehr dicht schliet und wenn man das wei kann man das Gewrz so halten, dass der ganze Deckel beim Aufdrehen gesichert bleibt. Also wenn die Mae passen, wie bei meinem Kchenschrank, ist dieses Karussell einzigartig und seinen/meinen Preis absolut wert!!!

Bad points are the herb and spice choice was a bit weird with some ones you’d expect not there and as only 2 spare will have to repurpose

It is a really beautiful product and a nice size. Spices and herbs look as if good quality. Price was good considering I was monitoring it on the John Lewis website for some time. A few of my jars arrived damaged but doesn’t affect functionality. Can’t wait to use it!
Also, the mechanism to open the spice jar is not the best, trying to slide it to one side unscrews the entire cap if you’re not careful.

Item looks nice but, arrived in original box with no outer packaging and was not sealed. Was also damaged and two jars could not be placed on the unit. We decided to repair rather than send back.
Lovely set of herbs and spices. Have used a fair few of them. It’s got me cooking more. They are easy to use and I like that you get 2 spare jars to put in what you’d like.
Overall it looks good in the kitchen and you’ve got all your spices to hand. 2 jars empty so you can put your own spices in. I’ve got 3 empty as one jar with mustard seeds were all in box but I don’t like them anyway
Ein Schmuckstck in meiner Kche. Ist praktisch, qualitativ verarbeitet und sieht sehr gut aus. Das Verschieben vom Verschluss der Gewrzstreuer ist allerdings nicht immer leicht. Das ist aber wirklich ein minimaler Minuspunkt, sozusagen Meckern auf einem hohen Niveau. Rundum zufrieden!
To be more deserving to the product I will say that it’s good, and there are a good range of herbs and spices. It also has sophistication that it rotates. My issue is the state of the packaging and level of care. When opening the boxs I found all the spices from the bottom row at the bottom of the box. The plastic covering was broken. It wasn’t even in tacked. Lucky that none was damage. Personally I think its overpriced.

This is a really nice piece of kit. I bought it as a Christmas present, and it was really well received. It looks so good, you can leave it out on the worksurfaces. It’s very sturdy indeed. A really nice purchase.

A great-looking premium product that would look right at home in any kitchen, this Cole & Mason spice rack offers great functionality without taking up a lot of space. A very nice attractive looking high end spice carousel. It comes ready to go, no assemble required here. The carousel turns very smoothly and the spices are in very attractive sturdy containers with metal screw lids. The only one I’d really change would be parsley and there are blank labels supplied for this purpose.
It does take up a bit of room so a kitchen with plenty of counter space is recommended and I do find wall shelf attachments more practical for storing spices but this is a very nice thing to have in addition.
As one would expect from Cole and Mason, this 8-jar Herb and Spice carousel is a well-manufactured product from high quality materials. Costing just under 40 from Amazon, I would rate this as being good value for money, as from my experience with other Cole and Mason products they are built to last and possess a style that tends not to date.
The carousel looks stylish on the kitchen worktop and rotates smoothly when required with the base being sufficiently weighted so it stays in place. The high-quality stainless steel jar tops have inserts that allows one to pour or sprinkle the contents of the pleasantly chunky glass jars. The carousel is supplied with 8 widely-used herbs and spices with the name printed on each jar.
Being presented in a good-quality box add to the suitability of the carousel as a gift – of course, if one could bear to part with it!
This looks like the pictures on-site and is solidly built. The jars have plenty of capacity. My only concerns are that the labels on the jars seem to be permanent which doesn’t give you much flexibility, and the rotation is not as smooth as it could be. It’s pretty smooth but has a bit of a rattle to it.
Also, be aware that it does take up a fair amount of space for the number of containers it holds. I’m not sure having a rotating spice rack adds any value compared to a more compact shelf or container system, but it’s a nice touch.
I’m very imressed with this stylish & very well designed product. While it takes up more space in my tiny kitchen than my previous one – a boring old metal rack – this one wins hands-down in terms of elegance & functionality.
Each part of it feels like it has been constructed with quality materials. When I first read on Amazon’s description that the jars slot onto the carousel, I had visions of small plastic teeth which could snap off easily – but this is not the case. the entire unit has a thick, quality feel & seems unlikely to damage or scratch easily. I particularly like the way that the carosel is completely stable, even when jars are removed. Also, each jar has a choice of how to dispense its contents. Twist the top one way & a large hole appears; twist it the other & three smaller holes appear.
This is a very attractive, quality item which looks good & works well. There are cheaper spice racks out there but I’m yet to see one so elegant.
It’s almost five years that we’ve been using our first Cole & Mason products which were a set of salt and pepper mills. They still work perfectly and look as good as they did on the day we had them, suggesting high quality and design. This herb & spice carousel seems to be just as good, offering an attractive and practical way to store and use these items. It certainly looks great in the kitchen, and has attracted a number of positive comments from visitors. Ours is the 8-jar version, but given the choice would have chosen one of the larger models as we tend to use lots of herbs and spices. It’s pleasing to see that the jars seal properly whilst still being easy to open, and the rotating action of the carousel is reassuringly smooth. Good quality may cost a bit more, but from experience of this brand it is worth it.
The rotary dispenser comes well packed with the sealed containers clearly marked with a choice of two dispenser speeds (one large hole or three small holes).
If I received this as a gift I would be very happy except for the parsley container which looks odd being only half full 🙁
The box does say the weights of each herb are different but it really spoils the out of box appearance (all the herb containers ship sealed).
The rotary dispenser is easy to use and requires a work surface area diameter of 9″ / 23cm in order to freely rotate.
That said I have several items from Cole & Mason and have always been impressed by them and this is no exception.
On opening the box I was expecting quite a bit of assembly but was surprised that it comes pretty much fully assembled. The whole thing looks and feels very well made and just on lifting it up and feeling how solid and rigid it is you can see why the price tag is at the premium end.
Once loaded the carousel feels very stable and even if you take all the jars off on one side it doesn’t feel like it’s going to tip or overbalance and still rotates very smoothly.
The jars themselves also show the though that has gone into the design. Each one is sealed and the lid rotates to allow pouring or shaking depending on what you need. They also come with several pre printed labels with the most common herbs on them and some blank ones.
Really the only grumble I can even think of is the price but even that is not an issue. The jars themselves come pre filled with the 8 herbs that are on the ready printed labels so if you were to buy 8 pots of herbs at your local supermarket you would be paying a 1/4 of the price for those alone.
A full 5 stars from me.
This is a really stylish rotating spice rack. I’ve used the one with 16 jars which is still going strong however the only issue was that the names of the spices were on top of the jars which meant you couldn’t tell easily what the spices at the bottom where. Even though this is just a small rack with 8 spices, it’s good to see that they’ve moved the names to the side of the jars which makes it a lot easier to tell what’s what. All jars as usual are filled with spices. The jars have 3 settings, closed, sprinkle and pour. The jars are made out of glass.
As expected from Cole & Mason, this is a beautifully designed product that not only looks fantastic, but works well too. Our well used kitchen spice draw slides out to reveal what looks like a war zone – this was an opportunity to restore some order at the cost of a small amount of counter space! The carousel works flawlessly – smooth spinning action and the jars are easy to refill. The fact that you can choose the amount that is dispensed is a really clever touch.
There’s not much in the way of downsides – it’s not cheap, but if my cole & mason salt and pepper mills are anything to go by, this is well made and will last. The names of the spices are written on the jars, so if you want to use them for something different, you’ll have the slight irritation of having a wrongly labelled spice jar. That said, the eight herbs and spices in the set are so commonly used, you’d probably struggle to do without them.
Overall, a well made, well designed kitchen addition.
The Cole & Mason carousel rotates and holds 8 glass jars of assorted herbs and spices and has spare labels should you wish to replace the herb/spice initially supplied with another variety. The jars are the usual excellent quality from Cole & Mason and have stainless steel lids with pour, sprinkle or closed settings. A lovely little rack which fits nicely inside my pantry shelf. The herbs are usual and reasonable quality and the rack is sturdy and turns as it should.
This would make a lovely gift to a starter cook or a student leaving home.
My only gripe is that the labelled jars were tiny and difficult to see.
The 8 herb & spice names are marked in little WHITE lettering on BLACK and are all ones I use so I will not be needing the sheet of blank labels thoughtfully supplied with it.

Already assembled, the carousel with 8 glass jars comes in a colourful shiny cardboard presentation box measuring around 21 cm square x 14 cm deep. It is simply but sturdily packed inside with a layer of crisp cellophane-type material keeping it altogether. Relatively heavy in hand, it is easily removed from the box by way of the centre handle.
It sits sturdy on my countertop but could, arguably, benefit from a lightly rubberised grip if on a very shiny surface, IMO.
The carousel stands around 13.5 cm tall on a base diameter of around 13.25 cm. With the jars all in situ, it needs around 22 cm clearance to rotate freely, in my experience, and is a smooth operator in this respect.
The jars each have a slot to hook onto the carousel and all sit safely at a slight angle. They easily lift off without affecting the balance of the carousel.
Each spice jar is foil sealed under the lid, which unscrews easily.
The chunky clear glass jars stand around 8.5 cm tall with the lid in situ. ‘COLE & MASON’ is embossed on the base. The chunky, CHROME lid has a BLACK band around 0.5 cm wide with the spice or herb name in WHITE lettering on one side & a BLACK coloured indentation on the top for the contents to be dispensed. It handily has a choice of a 1 cm ‘POUR’ or a 3-hole ‘SPRINKLE’ depending on the way you twist the chrome part, or ‘CLOSED’ in the centre position.
Alternatively, the necks are around 3 cm diameter, to insert e.g. a small spoon, if required.
The jars split for easy cleaning, but the product is not dishwasher safe as far as I can see from the details provided on the box. The chrome areas wipe clean easily with a soft cloth, in my experience, especially the inevitable finger prints on the chrome handle top.

Loving this! It looks so cool in my kitchen and it spins round easily. There are 8 containers, already pre-filled with herbs and spices. The only one I won’t use is turmeric, all the others are things I use regularly. The containers are easy to take off the carousel, and to put back on. Turn the lid to open it and sprinkle out. I lov it! It doesn’t take up a lot of space either so it is living on my worktop.
I have an old version of the spice carousel. Whilst I am very pleased with it I am also happy with the improvements on this updated version. The biggest one is that the names of the spices are written on the sides of the jar rather than the top. As I keep my spices on a shelf this is a huge improvement. There is a sheet of sticky labels included if you want to use different spices. Obviously some people might feel that this spoils the look of the jars. The carousel has a Lazy Susan base and it spins around very smoothly. This is a very solid and reasonably heavy product. The jars are tightly sealed and are very practical to use.
Cole and Mason are a tried and trusted brand who have been around for almost a century. In this set you get the following herbs and spices in jars that come clearly marked.
Basil, Oregano, Parsley, Thyme, Sage, Rosemary, ground Paprika and ground Turmeric.
Each jar is easy to lift off the carousel and the lids twist open to either sprinkle or pour the desired amount. Jars are sealed for freshness and in my set they are marked as best before end of March 2020. There are a set of peel off labels you can use if desired.
Taking into consideration how much it would cost to buy these individually makes the set appear to be very well priced. We are in the process of updating our kitchen and have been looking at various designs , I can’t think of one that would not benefit from a set like this. It only takes up a footprint of a smaller sized dinner plate and I think it’s better to have them in a set like this to save going back and forth between a spice rack. If buying for a housewarming or wedding gift the set comes well presented in a sturdy box. My one niggle would be how the bottom of the carousel feels and sounds a bit on the flimsy side, it does revolve really well and perhaps that’s why it is made from lightweight plastic.
All in all I believe it’s a good quality set and I look forward to using all the jars in the coming weeks.
THis 8 jar rack comes with rosemary, basil, oregano, ground paprika, parsley, ground turmeric sage, thyme.
they are labelled on the jars and this comes with some stickers that you can use to over stick if you choose to empty them out and use other things. it spins around with a smooth movement. each pot with a hook to place it on the stand – so you will not be putting your own or shop purchased ones on the revolver.
each lid can twist off completely to get a small spoon inside (all the spices are sealed btw) or you can hold onto the black labelled part and twist the top for a smaller pouring hole (little finger sized, not a sprinkler). This latter movement is stiffer and takes a little more work. It is very smart and very well presented. i do think it is a shame that the spice names are printed as changing them messes up the look (I like cayen pepper for example). This can be used for any herbs and spices that will fit in the jars.
