I’m in love this amazing multicooker it’s amazing so far I’ve tried slow cooked stew, rice, steamed veg and I’ve made a curry using the pressure cooker settings. It’s just honestly the best think I’ve owned. I love it and I’ve made my mum buy it she’s even more obsessed she’s even baked with it which I haven’t thought of yet. She does like to clock more then I do. Honestly it’s great quality and the price is justified through them amazing features of the product.
I simply love it!!
Makes cooking so easy and much faster than conventional pans.
We are a family of four adults and this is more than enough.
Easy and straighforward functions and endless recipes onlines in addition my regular recipes. Had no issue cleaning it as it’s totally non stick.
Besides, with the horrendous hike in gas and electricity prices, this is slashing a big chunck of our bill by cooking faster.
Cracking bit of kit, nice big pot to cook in too.
Very easy to use and the turno pressure option is excellent.
Super quality product. Very versatile and easy to use. Great time saver.
I am obsessed with this, love love love, cooking has become so much more fun with this, quality is great, easy to use instructions, price is affordable for what you get.
Bought this for my son and he loves it! Especially good for pressure cooking. He uses it almost every day. Excellent purchase!
I bought the crockpot as a gift for my daughter in law and she loves it telling me it is easy to use, very versatile, cooks quickly with excellent results.
This pot is a kitchen must have. It is easy to use once you have worked out the instructions. The results are reliable which cannot be said of some of the alternative brands. It would be useful to have an included recipe book.
Love it, would recommend.
It is safe to say that I am not the best cook, so I was a little sceptical about my chances of making anything edible.
However, I am now a pro at using this. It is so easy to use, keeps food warm once cooking has finished and cuts down meal preparation massively. There are so many different options on the crockpot and I have yet to use all of them. I do particularly like the turbo pressure option, it is genius.
I would say that is it quite bulky so takes up quite a bit of space, and I would have liked a recipe book or ideas with it too. However I would certainly purchase one of these again and my downloaded recipe book is coming in handy.
I love it!! It makes life so easy! I can cook normal, turbo or slow depending how much time I have or when I want the food ready. It really is worth the price.
We’ve got a decade-old Crockpot brand slow cooker that is used for one regular meal (beef stew) and a separate pressure cooker that needs nerves of steel to operate so is rarely used – and this has instantly replaced both, with better performance to boot. Each mode has a range of automatic options that take the guesswork out of it, and it’s worked brilliantly so far. Combined with a slow cooking cook book it’s revitalised our mealtime.
I went for this pressure cooker as it had a sous vide option (why buy 2 bits of kit) I popped a rib of beef in there and it was fantastic. Pressure cooking does the trick too although that wont be a beef rib
This was a replacement for an older pressure , the steam release valve is much safer than on my old one and the non stick coating on the pot is much better. Easy to use, very pleased with it.
This is the most practical electric pressure cooker for the family. With it, it can cook rice, cook soup, make yogurt and desserts, etc. It has 14 functions, you can set the temperature and time, and quickly cook food under high pressure. The meat takes only 35 minutes. What surprised me most is that it can even soften the bones, which fully reflects the powerful function of the pressure cooker. The inner pot of the pot is made of non-stick pot material, which is very easy to clean. The air release valve on the lid is also very safe, with this pot I can make more food at home, I highly recommend it to everyone.
I bought this for my wife and I to use as a one-pot replacement for our slow cooker and pressure cooker.
This is a such an easy to use and intuitive machine, despite its limited manual and instructions, It is also a well-built and cleverly designed alternative to the market leader.
We’ve used it for 2 saute and pressure-cooked recipes to date – Chicken Paprikash and Sweet and Sour Chicken – both with excellent results. We reckon we saved over 1.5 hours compared to equivalent stove top cooking. The difference was that the meat was more tender and the end flavours were more intense.
Despite the lack of any recipes in the manual and the proliferation of American recipes online, this kind of multi functional electronic one pot cooking is definitely the way forward. We’re already planning more adventurous meals in it for the coming weeks.
We highly recommend it.
This is defiantly an upgrade on the old style pressure cookers when you used to be frightened it was going to explode. The digital light up panel takes away all the guess work, you can use the pre set programmes or set you own time and heat manually. To release the pressure when cooking time is up is easy, you release the pressure on the opposite side from where the steam escapes which is a great safety feature, I used to hate this part of part of pressure cooking when the you had to lift the weight off for the steam to escape and release the pressure in case I got burnt. Cooking times are much less than normal cooking and the veg has more taste. Sponge pudding was light and moist. I haven’t quite mastered dumpling yet though, mine disintegrated, just need a bit more practice. There is a saut function for browning meat, onions ect prior to cooking.
Slow cooking is easy to, you can safely leave a casserole all day and come home to a hot meal. I haven’t tried `sous de vi` cooking though, not really my thing but for everyday cooking this cooker will be well used, I am really pleased with it. With the cooker comes a trivet and sous de vi rack. I have bought a veg basket and trivet with handles to make it easier and safer to lift dishes from the cooker, it is also easier with a divided basket to cook more than one veg, I was surprised that there was not one included as it is fiddley to spoon out hot veg straight from the cooker, much better to lift them out.
The pressure cooker is large enough to cook for a family of 4 to 6 easily. The bowl is easy to clean, I cooked a stew and the residue just lifted off with a wash up brush. The display on the front is clear and easy to read even without instructions. You do get a booklet to guide you on care and timings but I still bought a recipe book to give me more ideas. There are 14 settings but I don’t think I will use them all probably just slow cooking, pressure cooking and saut mainly, but you never know….. This is a big appliance which I will keep out on the worktop, if I put it in the cupboard I would probably forget about it.
This crockpot pressure cooker itself is pretty nice. Has a 14 functions,
It would have saved me buying a load of kitchen gadgets.its good size 5.6L enough for 6 plus peoples. This all in one is truly amazing.
The removable pot is great also comes with steam rack and sous vide rack, lid with steam release dail, stirring spoon. Pot dont have any handle it was bit hard pickup specially when hot. It has pre-sets temperature or you can adjust temperature and timing.
it cooks perfectly. I’ve done a chicken which was good and rice, vegetables too Very good at frying and useful as a pressure cooker.
Changes the whole way of cooking. It’s so easy to use and easy to clean. Instructions was clear and Results excellent.
It’s great to use once you get to know what to do with good instructions. My cooking times have reduced so much.It is super piece of equipment and I am pleased with the pressure cooker option it provides and the dishes I have made so far.
I can’t praise this enough. Quickly became my best friend, my personal Chef, my kitchen helper my everything. It seems a bit expensive for the 119.99 but if compare the quality of this machine and the features packed into it with other pressure cookers, this one stands out by far. Not to mention that it’s half price of a Ninja Foodi MAX and the only thing is missing from this, and the Ninja has is the air fryer function. The variety of meals you can make with this is unbelievable, you only limited by your imagination. I’m learning as I go but so far have successfully made soups, steamed salmon, stews, lentil, steamed vegetables, steamed chicken, Rice and looking forward to a lot more. If you know the right method and temperature for your food, it will cook incredibly fast and to perfection. The capacity of the nonstick inner pot is 5.6 L, which is removable and can be easily removed and cleaned (dishwasher safe). It comes with a steaming rack which is handy as it helps for the food to stay above the bottom of the pan so the steam can circulate underneath as well. Works great for whole chicken it steamed all around evenly. Sous vide rack is also included however I have not tried this yet
All of the functions are easy to use and easy to switch between. Available functions are Brown/Saut, Simmer, Sous Vide, Yoghurt, Slow cook and keep warm.
It makes incredible baked sweet potatoes! It’s great for roasting veggies and you can cook completely oil free if you want. The best thing that I don’t need to stand and supervise it just set it and forget it!
The control panel of this pressure cooker is super intuitive and easy to use. Buttons looks like touch sensitive however they are push buttons. There is a set of pre-set buttons for often made food on the left side of the panel and on the right side there is a set of buttons for the cooking methods. Between this buttons there is a digital timer and a digital temperature display.
It is super easy to clean up and I’m not spending hours cleaning different pots and pans after making a Sunday lunch for the family. Also, I can save so much of time with it, the steamed chicken was ready start to finish in about 40 minutes: amazing!!!
I am highly delighted with this machine; I haven’t used my oven for weeks now since I have this beauty! It produces a much more health food than cooking in oil. So far, I have no negatives at all with the machine. Well done, Crockpot, totally recommend this product.
I’m loving this product, easy to learn and use but the biggest win is the big reduction in cooking time required compared to conventional methods. For example, it used to take me 1-2 hours of kitchen time to prepare and cook a soup or stew. That same meal prepared in the Crockpot takes 30mins and I just toss in the ingredients, set the programme and come back 30mins later…great! My only criticism is that it has a great steaming function but the steaming tray is inadequate. It would be great if it had a multi-level steaming tray for dumplings etc.
Without doubt, the best thing about this crock pot is its versatility. You can slow cook, pressure cook, steam and even sous vide with the relatively easy to use controls and instruction manual. It appears a little intimidating at first, especially if you’ve never used a pressure cooker before, but all you need to do is follow the well-written instructions carefully and you shouldn’t go wrong. Since I’ve had this crock pot, the main thing I’ve used it for is pressure cooking, with varying results. For example, I used the pressure cooker on the turkey bones after Christmas, along with celery, carrots and onions, to make a delicious stock as the base for a turkey stew. I thought that was a fantastic success. However, previously I’d used the pressure cooker to make a beef stew and, quite honestly, although the meat was lovely and tender, there just wasn’t the depth of flavour you’d ordinarily get from, for example, cooking it more slowly on the hob for a few hours.
As a piece of handy kitchen equipment, though, it’s difficult to fault. I’ve steamed some vegetables in it (and it worked quite well, but I need to perfect my own cooking times with a little more practise) but haven’t used some of the functions (such as sous vide). However, it is now an option whereas, before owning this crock pot, it wouldn’t have even been a consideration. It’s a very decent size and is certainly big enough to feed a hungry family of four. I’m sure I will be using this fairly often in the future, especially when making soups and stocks, and will certainly be giving the slow cooker a go before the winter is out. It’s relatively easy to clean, albeit everything needs doing by hand (not suitable for the dishwasher) and could easily be one of the most useful purchases you’ll make if you don’t have anything like this in your kitchen already.
This is not just a slow cooker – I have fully enjoyed using this all week, it has been very handy adn easy to shove all the ingredients in the pot, set the programme and leave it. I was surprised just how quick it cooks foos. I have done chicken in a slow cooker before but it always goes stringy and chewy. This is a pressure cooker so it cooks meats very quickly and the meat has been lovely and tender. There are preset programs on here which make it simple or you can over ride it and use your own – some recipies require a couple of programmes to get the end result.
The crock pot is fairy large, it says it feeds 6+ people but I would say 6 is the maximum. Its big and bulky so you will need a large cupboard to store it in but mine has not been away yet, I just keep using it and it is not one of those things that you use once and store away for years – this is simple because it has so many cooking options on it. Its safe to use and letting out pressure and steam is very easy. It was quite easy to clean as well which also is a bonus.
You can even bake cakes in this cooker – something I have no tried. My only gripe with it, is that it doesn’t really have an recipies in it. Instructions were ok but no inpsiration on what you can do with it. Lucjily you can go on their website and look for ideas but it would have been nice to include and booklet. I have bought a couple of books as well so all being well I can start making even more and get experimental with it.
I absolutley love it and if you want delicious food, cooked quickly then this is the swiss army knife of multi cookers.
This seems to do soo many different things and works well.
No issues and intsructions are very easy to follow.
Excellent quality
Not used all of the features yet as there are so many but what we have used have been first class. We’ve arranged and made a couple of stews with it. I’m not sure if it uses less energetic as I’d be comparing gas to electronic, but it certainly takes a lot less time.
The build quality is incredible. The lid has a solid click feel to it when closed and the buttons for operating also have a solid click each and every time you press them.
It’s very heavy so I’d suggest finding a permanent home on a counter somewhere as I imagine it would be a pain to keep lifting this out of storage over again.
Can’t fault this item. Well worth it. Looking forward to using more of the functions!
I remember that my mum used a pressure cooker on a regular basis to get meals on the table for the family when she got home from work. It was a huge thing with an enormous handle and sat on the hob. Times have moved on. This 2021 version is all digital controls and powered by electricity.
The basics of pressure cooking are quite simple. The cooking pot is sealed by a rubber gasket. This means that air cannot escape so as the pot is heated up the pressure rises. That means that water “boils” at a higher temperature and that means food cooks more quickly. After cooking the pressure has to be released before the pan can be opened. This will happen naturally as the pressure in the pot falls or you can do it more quickly by turning the steam release dial. (Keeping well clear of the steam release valve).
The instruction booklet seems complicated because this is not just a pressure cooker but a multi cooker. Slow cooking, steaming, sous vide and sauting can all be done.
A rice pudding which would take a couple of hours in a medium oven will cook in about 15 minutes in the pressure cooker. Allow 10 minutes for the steam to escape and it’s ready. The machine also has a useful jeep warm feature which means that your food will stay warm when cooking is completed. There is also a “turbo function” which gives even more pressure and reduces cooking time by 40%.
The pot in which all the cooking is done is removable and easy to clean.
At the time of this review this cooker is priced at just under 100 which makes it great value.
Before purchasing this cooker take at the dimensions carefully – the circular shape means that a fair chunk of your kitchen top surface will be required to house this cooker.
It’s a substantial unit which feels very well built. I feel confident this cooker will last a long time.
There is a clearly laid out set of buttons for a real variety of cooking modes, as well as straight time and pressure controllers.
I mainly used the Crockpot for slow cooking, as I appreciate the convenience of leaving a stew or casserole slowly cooking all day, without the complexity of timing the meal perfectly. I made a number of stews for between 4 and 8 people, and there was enough food to serve 8 generously.
I have owned similar slow cookers before and this might just be the best, based on the range of cooking options and the ease of using them. Meals tasted great, if I say so myself, and even the speedier settings produced tasty, hot food every time.
The removable, dishwasher safe pot is easy to clean and has not suffered from going through a very hot dishwasher cycle around 15 times during the review period.
A small criticism is that the uninitiated might appreciate more detailed instructions or exemplar meals, to help get started with a new type of cooker. That said, this is a high quality cooker and if you can spare the kitchen space, I recommend it.
This is a very good looking crockpot it has 14 functions in one I haven’t tried them all yet but I have I have used the steam function loads of times I cooked a small gammon joint using the pressure cooker made a beef stew with the soup and stew mode use the slow cooker brown saut mode it comes with a book with some recipes in I’ve got to be honest I had to really study it before it sunk in the only thing I think the crockpot should come with is a steaming basket for vegetables I have now bought one so steaming small veg is no problem will definitely recommend this
This Crockpot immediately scores marks before you get down to the details by having good build quality, being easy to clean and looking smart-this is the kind of device which will sit well on your worktop just like a quality Coffee Maker or Toaster. Probably the most reassuring thing about it is that despite having 14 separate functions it is not difficult to use thanks to its digital display and the range of options being clearly visible on the control panel-in a way it works like an automatic washer-with all options at the push of a named button. The versatility of the machine is not in doubt-you can do anything from steaming and saute to stewing and soup making in a fraction of the time. I have already whisked up several potato dishes without all the steam and heat of boiling them plus it is superb for curries, casseroles and soups. You also get some less common options including being able to seal meat before the main cooking process and a dessert function which I haven’t used yet but presumably will be good for slow cook puddings. It is also a safe device with a very handy steam release dial to ensure you don’t scold yourself when opening the lid. Dishwasher safe and with steam spoon and recipe booklet included this is a quality device which genuinely saves time as it makes really tasty meals. Well worth acquiring.
Very easy to clean and a very easy to read dial.
I’ve never heard of crockpot but was very impressed with this excellent product. It’s well packaged with good instructions, and set up was super easy. Everything is easy to use and the display on the front is clear and easy to read. There are pre set buttons for different functions. This unit allows you to steam, pressure cook, and slow cook. There is even a saut function. The unit is well made and feels very solid and built to last and is very easy to clean out. The front display panel can just be wiped clean. Overall very impressed with this cooker which gives great results
In the past I have used the traditional hob top pressure cooker, where you heated it to build up pressure on the hob, then you had to time it for the recommended period and then you had to release the pressure which was always quite scary. So trying this Crockpot Turbo Express Pressure Cooker has been a revelation and a half! It is just so easy to use, you follow the instructions for the type of food you are cooking set the time, if you can hit the turbo button and the cooker does all of the hard work itself. Our first go was cooking a lentil and veg curry, we chopped up and added all of the ingredients, we didn’t even steep the lentils, added water, set the time and picked turbo charge which reduces your cooking time by 40%, press start and the machine takes over, with the pressure build up time and the cooking time we ate within an hour and didn’t have to stir anything. The curry cooked perfectly and we are totally overawed by this pressre cooker. It slow cooks, steams, keeps food hot, and more, I’m yet to try steaming rice have a feeling this will take over from our cooker. I would give it more than 5 stars if I could.
I have used the Crockpot slow cooker before and was massively impressed with it so had high hopes with this one – I am so glad it hasn’t disappointed. This Crockpot pressure and multicooker is a brilliant appliance. It is solidly built, durable, powerful yet easy to handle & clean, thoughtfully designed and simple to use. Its large capacity can cook meals for up to 8 people easily!
This multicooker comes with the required set of accessories so you don’t have to buy them separately, the included ones are more than sufficient to cook almost all dishes in it. The 14 preset functions are easy to use and follow to prepare most recipes whether its slow-cooked, sous vide, steamed, sauted or pressure cooked. The included manual with recipes is a great way to try using the cooker and getting familiar with it.
The time and temperature adjustments allow for any customisation in food so I can cook something exactly how I want. I have used it so far to cook rice, soup, curry and other recipes and it has done the job perfectly. It is also very easy to clean as the inner pot is dishwasher safe. The lid can be tricky to clean but you get used to it soon.
Considering the multiple functions, quality and versatility of this cooker, it is excellent value for money. It is a well-known brand so should serve for many years.
It was quite a few years ago we had a pressure cooker back then it was a big pot with a screw lid and a weight as the pressure valve, how things have changed this pressure cooker seems to do it all, so far we have only coked a couple of things in it, it’s simple to use for instance I did a tanghin based dish, you just put it on brown/saut and fry off the meat and onions like you would normally but once the meat has browned and the onions softened you just chuck everything else in add the water screw on the lid press soup/stew and let it do it’s work 30mins latter it’s done and the meat is tender so this is ideal for people in a hurry.
The one problem I did find is with the liquid content, this need’s a certain amount of liquid to work or you can get an error code come up, but unlike traditional cooking where liquid evaporates and the food get thicker with this the liquid stays so some of my creations came out rather wet, I think it’s case of experimenting to get the liquid content right but it does say in the manual you need at least 250ml of liquid.
I still have quite a few things to try out with this as it can cook so many things, the pot also looks good but it does take up space and the problem we have is where to store it when not in use at the moment all our cupboards are full so it’s taking up room on the kitchen top but it will get used a couple of times a week it’s not going to stop me cooking the traditional way but for speed and convenience this is the business.
This is an excellent quality Crockpot Multicooker. It has 14 functions in 1, from cooking to steaming.
The cooker is sturdy and pretty heavy.
Assembling it is easy.
The package includes a stirring spoon, a steaming rack, and sous vide rack that is used for food that is kept in plastic bags with all of the air vacuumed out. The ‘Steam diffusion cap’ can be pressed on the top. However, there is a ‘condensation collector’ that is taped at the back of the pot. I later found out that it has to be pressed to attach near the lid (as shown in the image), where it collects water. The non-stick cooking pot has a 5.6L capacity. There is a ‘Max’ marking, and it is advised not to overfill the pot. The User manual is very helpful. It has all the additional cooking information, including a ‘cooking guide’ and a ‘steaming chart’.
Safety feature.
The lid auto-locks as a safety measure.
It only unlocks when it is safe.
To do it manually, the steam has to be released after the cooking is stopped from the menu.
Various cooking functions.
40% faster Turbo Pressure.
There are various pressure cooker settings. The most common ones are on the front panel. The super-quick ‘Turbo pressure’ setting cooks 40% faster. I cooked Chicken & mixed Vegetable soup at a regular 30 min Soup timer. The turbo pressure reduced it to 18 mins. When pressed to start, it warms up first and then starts cooking. There is a ‘status’ bar that also shows the progress (screenshots are attached in the images).
Once the cooking time finishes.
The cooker automatically goes into ‘keep warm’ mode (shown in the video). I rotated the ‘steam release dial’ to release the steam, so I could open the lid to check the soup. It was almost cooked to a good level but I had to manually set it for 9 extra minutes to perfectly cook the chicken. Next time I will try to cook the soup without releasing the steam to see if it works better. For lamb soup, it may take longer, and again it is up to personal cooking preference.
Easy to clean with warm water.
It is dishwasher safe.
The lid can be cleaned with warm water after removing the rubber seal and steam diffusion cap. They all should be air-dried separately before storing.
Thank you for reading.
I hope you find this review helpful.
I’ve never used a pressure cooker before so I was bit unsure but I wanted something that so I can cook quick meals as I work until late at night & often forget to take food out to defrost or put in the slow cooker . Crockpot is a good brand as ive use their slow cooker so thought I would give a this pressure cooker go and it also says it can cook soup which would be perfect for the winter nights …Instruction included as pictured , with a plastic spoon (called a steam spoon in the instructions I was thinking it was releasing the steam value ,however I am unsure) inside the cooker it’s self is a non stick removal bowl which the information says resists stuck on food.. it removes for easy cleaning…and can be used as a you would a normal pot on the cooker as it has a satue function… It also has measurements for the water on the side with a max line…Included also is a steam rack to keep the food being steamed off the bottom of the pot, and a sous vide rack.
When you get the instructions say before use to clean the sealing casket and also the removable bowl , The instructions say the dials can be removed for easy cleaning also, the steam release value is fitted by yourself as it comes lose in the box- I’m admit I’m confused by this as rather than just be a value that drops down when your close the steam valve using the dial the top part of it can be manually moved forward and back and the instructions don’t advise why. I found after googling that you can use a utensil to move this to release the steam ..if you don’t want to wait the ten minutes for the steam to be released naturally by the cooker.
I have used this once so far and I cook a frozen beef rump in it ..ive never used a pressure cooker before so I took to the instructions for help.. the instructions tell you what temperature to cook certain food stuffs and the cooking time for meat/poultry it was 30-2hrs but doesn’t tell you how much water to put in or the times for frozen food. So I had to guess.. it was a 1kg beef rump and I put four cups if water in with one beef stock pot …(no idea If this is right) I did a Google search and it said 1-2 cups but that didn’t seem enough, however I put the lid on-set to the lock postion-moved the steam dial to the locked position and pressed meat/poultry and hoped for the best- the cooker will then come up with a suggested time it said 30 minutes .. I didn’t think that was enough time as the rump was frozen .. so I set it for the max 2hrs .. and high temperature…how to set the time and temperature is explained in the instructions, the cooker beeps when done and then automatically goes to keep warm mode it will stay on this mode for four hours and then it will shut off..the beef fell apart when I took it out .. so dinner was more like pulled beef (which wasn’t a bad thing) it was so delicious… not dry at all…I will definitely be using everyday.
The only thing I would change is more detail in the instructions or more instructional videos showing the parts and how much water to put in depending on what your cooking for newbies like me. It tells you for the steam function but that’s it.
The instructions I have also don’t advise how you cook pork like gammon joint for example
Ps… if your newbie like me the bobber value isn’t meant to be covered so your not missing a pa
This Crockpot Multicooker combines the best of slow cooking, steaming and pressure cooking in one compact counter top unit. It has a turbo function that allows you to take the wait out of cooking and serve up your favourite meals faster.
Firstly this looks great, you certainly won’t be embarrassed to store this on your counter top and what’s more you’re going to want to as it is capable of cooking a whole range of food in super quick time. (I’ve put mine near my hob so that I can use the extractor fan when releasing steam.) Often I find foods that are healthy take longer to cook and if I’m pushed for time it can be easy to reach for fast food. With this you can steam potatoes in minutes or create stews, chilli, soup etc in one pot in half the time.
I have found this incredibly easy to use, it can be intimidating getting a cooker like this for fear that it’ll be too complicated to set. This has an easy to use menu that allows you to select the type of food and thus the type of cooking at the touch of one button, this is then customisable by pressing plus or minus on the temp/pressure and time buttons.
To give this its first go I decided to steam some sweet potato. I love sweet potato but it can take a long time to cook so reading I could cook it in 6 minutes I had to try it. The instructions were for approximately 900g of sweet potato which was too much so I made 400g. I peeled it and cut it into chunks. To steam you need to insert the steamer rack and place the food to be steamed on top of it so that it isn’t touching the water. I did this and added 250ml of water. I set the Crockpot to steam and reduced the time to 6 minutes, ensuring the steam valve was closed I pressed start. It took less than 5 minutes to heat up I guess you have to factor that time into your cooking too but once heated up it began to steam. The timer counts down and when it is finished it beeps to alert you, then it automatically goes into keep warm mode it can do this for up to 4hours. I opened the steam valve which allows all the pressure to leave the pot before taking the lid off. I found the sweet potato fully cooked (but still firm not crumbly) and throughly delicious. I would normally boil it and it can become mushy, this was cooked just right and full of flavour.
For my second try of this pot I made a rice recipe, spicy Spanish rice. I put all of the ingredients into the pot (rice, passata, stock, tomato and spices) I then cooked this on the rice setting for 12 minutes. In hindsight this was too long as I was using white rice I should have reduced the time. The results were still delicious but if I’d left it any longer it would have burned (it’s a learning curve).
So far I’m loving it. I’m looking forward to chilli and soup as it’s currently winter. I think for me the speed is the best thing about this multicooker allowing me to cook healthier food in less time is a big plus.
Currently 99.99 (Dec ’21) I find this a good price considering the ability of the pot and certainly cheaper than buying the individual elements of this multicooker. I am happy to recommend this, it’s a great addition to the kitchen that is easy to use and cooks brilliantly. Looking forward to creating more tasty meals.
This crockpot is a game changer and I wished we bought one earlier. First time trying this and wow just wow. I manage to make our favourite dishes and took fraction of time than what I spend in the hob. No more standing for long periods and controlling if it is going to burn or needs more water. You simple chop and season everything and add it in the 5.6L non stick pot and set the function you require and you are done. You can go and do your other chores or exercise. This crockpot has 14 functions in 1, including the super quick turbo setting and cooks your meal in no time. Very easy to use and comes with instructions manual with recipes to try. The release dial is located to the side of the lid and take extra when releasing pressure/steam. You can also set preset cooking time for meats, soups, stew, rice, beans and much more. The digital panel with heat up status bar shows you when you are ready to cook and you can sear your meats before you add the seasonings. Very easy to clean and the pot is dishwasher safe. I highly recommend it.
I’m always nervous using pressure cookers…not sure why. However this one from Crockpot is so easy to use. Very straightforward, and operating it is easy thanks to the instructions. I tried slow cooking some ham, and left it for around 6 hours. When I took it out, it just fell apart and tasted absolutely divine. I now look forward to seeing what I can cook next. Easy to clean too. Highly recommended.
