This processor does exactly what it promises excellent results – be it slicing, shredding, etc. My only gripe with it is the quality of plastic used. It’s very thin and fragile; extremely prone to breakage. I feel like with the money we’re paying for it, we could get better quality materials.

Had one for many years and had no hesitation in buying the updated model. It is lighter and more powerful and more versatile in the number of operations it can do. However, if you aren’t into spiralising I would recommend the ‘non-executive’ model. The accessory kit takes up a deal of space in a small kitchen.

I love this machine. I originally bought magimix but quickly changed to this. This has the spiralising and dicing kit included which is a big bonus. It chops, slices, diced, spiralises with ease. I’ve made pizza, pasta and bread dough, sauces, dips, nice creams, smoothies, milkshakes, whipped cream, chocolate mousse, fruit salad, courgetti and even whisked egg whites perfectly! It’s an amazing, versatile and reliable machine! Highly recommend it!

I absolutely love this machine!! I was a little overwhelmed when I unpacked it, as there where so many attachments. But after once use of each attachment – I’ve realised how easy it is to use and how much this processor can do!!

I don’t have a dishwasher in this flat – but it is very quick and easy to clean. I recall reading a review saying it was annoying. But to be fair it honestly wasn’t an issue.

Seriously this is the processor!!! Does everything effortlessly and quickly!

Buy it!!! You will not regret it!!! 🙂

It’s a great food processor. Chops well. Dough function works nicely and the spiraliser is good fun too. Can throw everything through the dishwasher to clean.

Great number of parts to this do can do lots and lots of different things. We use it most to make courgette spaghetti, slice squash or cucumbers, grate anything from carrots to cheese, mix ingredients etc. I put it in the dishwasher and it’s been happy with that for over a year so far. I would say that it doesn’t feel very solid. The plastic parts just feel a bit flimsy. I am not at all confident that it will be a kitchen item to pass down generations but for now it works well. 4 stars due to light plastic feel and the fact that there isn’t at all a great system to store all the parts in a useful way.

I got this food processor for Xmas, I’ve never had one before so I don’t have anything to compare it to, I’ll have to give that caveat , but so far I have been really impressed with this machine. It is a bit fiddly to put together, and it seems to come with lots of different accessories, but it has to to give it so many different functions. The ‘quick start ‘ guide is your friend and all the different attachments have the name on what they are which is extremely useful. So far I’ve used it to mix a cake, I’ve made nut butter, made hummus, diced Cauliflower into cauliflower rice and today I used the spiraliser function for the first time, for all of the things I’ve used it for so far it’s been excellent. It might be pricey to buy but with all the different functions you can use it for, if you’re a keen cook, you’ll fin d it invaluable and find you’re using it more and more as you become used to how to put it together. It’s easy to clean too , the only thing I will say is that you do need to find room for all the different attachments which are numerous but if you’ve got the room, I’d highly recommend investing in this food processo

Really like the slicing and shredding discs – often cut beans (feed vertically), okra (feed horizontally flat) and cabbage for Indian recipes. Also used chopping blades in large bowl for tomatoes etc. Great to use. Blades are really sharp so would have preferred some sort of safety handle as I did hurt myself once. Have not used dicing kit though I bought it for that. I also use the small chopping bowl for onions, pulsed a few times and it’s perfect consistency for frying/caramelising. Small bowl also great for chopping herbs like coriander and dill. The dough blade can only be used in large bowl which is annoying – I use it to peel large amounts of garlic (pulse a few times) but the bowl is too big for that use and bruises the garlic sometimes.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI love my new food processor. This is the first one I have ever owned and having had it for about a month now and using it a few times each week, I can say it has changed my cooking life. Any time I want to do batch cooking or loads of chopping or grating I just turn to my cuisinart.
I spent a lot of time researching food processors and reading reviews and settled on this one as it seemed to be the most versatile and reliable for the money.
When I made my purchase I had not noticed that it came with dicing tools too and that is probably my favourite tool. I use if for making fruit salads and for dicing tomatoes, onions, mushrooms for chillis and curries.
The spiralizer I thought would be useless to me too but I have found that using it to make courgetti or spirallized butternut produces some of my new favourite meals.
The regular tools are brilliant of course and produce perfectly sliced or grated anything; i have used it for hard and medium cheese, potato, carrot, mushroom, onion, cabbage, and it just gets through all of that in a flash.
The chopping/mixing blade is a great design that really does both chopping and mixing really well; I particularly love using it for cake mixing and pancake batter (using the pulse function for both).
Now for the negatives, which aren’t really negatives if I’m honest… cleaning… there are a lot of parts to clean if you are using it to its full capability, but then the time it saves on all the chopping, dicing, mixing, etc. makes up for that, and I just pop all the bits into the dishwasher (top rack) and job done. I do sometimes find I need to clean the main bowl in between jobs as that is of course used for everything, but if I was doing all that with my regular bowls and tools I would be cleaning 3 or 4 bowls anyway.
The one feature I have found to not be all that useful is the small bowl; this sits inside the big bowl and allows you to chop/mix smaller quantities, like making a smoothie drink or soup for one person, or chopping nuts for baking. I find it simpler to use my hand mixer and a separate small bowl for that. I would say in general that for smaller quantities, like meals for one, it is not worth getting the food processor dirty. In all other cases though, my kitchen helper is always ready to be put into action.
In summary, I highly recommend this cuisinart food processor. Make sure you have enough space for it and all the accessories in your kitchen as there are a lot, but they do make life easier.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI love my Cuisinart 13 cup food processor. It’s easy to use and clean. It does everything I need from a food processor. I dice all my veggies for casseroles and salads. Carrot cake every Saturday! It is light and easy to take out of my cupboard but also heavy enough to sit on the counter while slicing and shredding etc…I would recommend to everyone who has over 200 to spend on a food processor.

The best food processor I have ever had!

I have had mine for a week, loving it so far. Powerful piece of kit with lots of options. This is replacing an earlier cuisinart whose replacement parts had become obsolete so I had no option but to replace after having the original one for many many years. I was attached to it! This one has so many possibilities so comes with lots of attachments. I was a bit hesitant at first because I am not sure I need all of these bits but they are very easy to assemble and the cuisinart guide is very easy to understand. The base does not feel as sturdy but the last one I had was arguable way to heavy even to lift. The plastic parts feel much more heavy duty and better quality than the last. If you only use one function then you probably don’t need this machine as you would have to store all of the parts!!!

The bowl on my Braun processor had become very badly cracked and a replacement is no longer available. I didn’t need a blender but need help with chopping and slicing. I love the fact that it will dice vegetables and spiralise them. The two bowls are so useful when I need small and large amounts of different things. It is easy to clean and the storage boxes help me to keep things together and my fingers safe. I wish I still had my old machine but this is a great replacement.

Golden Review Award: 15 From Our UsersExcellent, this gadget and I are likely to become good friends.

In case like me, you are blind and reading this (long shot I know), the knife work ahead of the ingredients hitting the pot takes me ages.

You may find as I have that it takes longer to set the machine up, than it does to do the prep, a huge time saving even so.

The machine is easy to put together, it’s easy to tell when disks or blades are fitted correctly, the buttons are big and obvious, and when done, assuming you have one, chuck the parts in to the dish washer, minding your fingers.

I like the storage cases, everything has a home.

The base is light, easy to move around when not in use.

For me, this is a machine which can be used every day.

A family member had the smaller processor from Cuisinart and on balance that is probably the better choice unless you need the volume of the big bowls.

This one is a bit clunky to use if you want to do anything other than chop up.

On the other hand it isn’t as heavy as some others and sucker feet hold it in place. It is noisy, but it works fine.

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersThe first thing that you will notice when you receive the Cuisinart FP1300U is the size of the box that it comes in. It’s a heavy box and it is big. Inside is a second box that fits tightly in the outer box and that contains the Prep Pro and all the extras that come with it. Unpacking it felt like it went on and on, there was more and more and then even more as the box gradually emptied and my kitchen counter filled up. I love that the blades come in a container to keep them safely in but that too is pretty big, if you’re going to have this machine then you don’t want to have a tiny kitchen. I love that it has two bowls, it’s a clever feature and would save some room in your cupboards, although it does mean that you need to get this out when you want a small amount chopped in the smaller bowl. It’s easy to set up and the button choices are simple enough, Off, Pulse, High and Low. Simple enough for anyone to use. The main use I have for this is to mix cake batter, this it does quickly and easily although it does not chop the butter if you had chunks of that in with your flour etc, the butter needs to be very soft to be adequately mixed in. I thought that the machine is quite noisy, especially when on high and even when you aren’t mixing a lot. It chops veg easily and with the attachments, you can great all sorts of shapes and textures. Cleaning the machine is fairly fiddly, if you have a dishwasher then that would be easier but I felt that there were too many small areas that food could get lodged into which made cleaning more difficult than it needed to be. I also find that when mixing cake batter the inside of the blade gets a decent amount of flour in it which is really hard to clean as no sponge or brush can get up in the small gaps. If you like doing fancy stuff with your veg then this is a great food processor for you to get but if you tend to keep things fairly simple then I would think that there would be easier machines out there that wouldn’t take up so much space and would be simpler to use. I do really like this and I will use a lot of the features, I just wish that it was a bit easier to clean.

This is a really good, solid food processer – with oodles of gadgets to go with it! There’s a tool for more or less every purpose, even if one or two of them aren’t perfect.

It’s a weighty beast, so won’t move around on the work surface when in use. It has a pulse and ‘on’ mode, dependant on what you’re using it for. For smaller chopping such as nuts, it’s tricky to get into really small pieces, but should be used on Pulse for better results.

There are two main bowls, with a smaller internal one for small chopping. It also has a spiralizer unit which works a treat. All of the extra gizmos come in a sensible box with a turnkey to keep the lid closed – not childproof, but means it won’t fall open.

In all, I’m really impressed with this and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

This is a very well-thought bit of kit for the kitchen. I have a Magimix food processor so it’s helpful to compare the two as they’re similar price points but quite different in what they offer (aside from the foundation function of processing food!). The summary is: the Cuisinart seems better thought out in terms of usability, practicality, and features; the Magimix feels better quality (bowls and blades) and the motor is heavier but quieter with a whopping 30 year guarantee.

The Cuisinart Prep Pro comes with so many options it’s almost too much! Two bowls, that allow you to prepare foods according to volume/type, a range of slicing blades and processing blades. A dicing tool that is very clever and works moderately well – works great with things like carrots, potatoes, etc but struggled a bit with onion as it got stuck and clogged up. There is a spiralizer tool, too, which works pretty well. There are a couple of different ‘lids’ depending on what you’re processing; for example if you’re using it to mix dough you can use a top that has no chutes – therefore making it much easier to clean afterwards. The lid with chutes has a couple of different sized holes to put ingredients into, very similar to the Magimix. The motor is a bit noisier than the Magimix but is powerful.

What I liked about this, over the Magimix, was the consideration to how it’s used practically. The smaller bowl goes inside the bigger bowl, but has a lip around it that creates a complete ‘seal’, so you can process food in the smaller bowl without anything going in the bowl beneath. This is not the case with the Magimix 🙁

Worth noting that, just like the Magimix, this has a safety feature where you need to unlock the lid BEFORE you can unlock the bowl from the base. Don’t try and turn the bowl to unlock it with the lid still locked in place as it won’t budge – it’s a safety feature, so read the instructions before use!

I really do rate this processor – it would come in handy for so many different food prep tasks and feels more versatile than the Magimix. Not as well made when looking for longevity, perhaps, but quality nonetheless.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersThis is a large food processor, better suited to a large family. I was surprised by how light the base was, certainly in comparison to our magimix, however the base does have rubber sucker feet which stick it securely to the work surface so it doesn’t move about. My wife tried it out but she preferred her magimix which she felt was more powerful and better made, her first one having lasted well over twenty years. My daughter-in-law tried it out, she has a KitchenAid food processor and she felt it was definitely better than the KitchenAid. She was particularly impressed that, although both have the 2 bowls, (one small one inside the larger one), on the KitchenAid sometimes the small bowl leaks into the big one, that wasn’t an issue on the Cuisinart. It also has a storage box, the KitchenAid doesn’t. She also thought that it was quieter than the KitchenAid. It comes with a lot of accessories, they all work efficiently and well. Overall a good processor.

I had been considering a Magimix to replace my Kenwood but having bought a Cuisinart mini chopper/grinder, I was impressed enough to buy their food processor. My main requirements are for vegetable preparation. The slicing and grating attachments were easy to fit and didn’t leave me with loads of food unprocessed. I sliced potatoes, sweet peppers, mushrooms and onions, varying the slicing size fairly easily. Grated cheese very fast. The. Dicing kit is a separate set up process and method but worked well with onions, potatoes, carrots and courgettes – it is extremely sharp! General chopping in the large bowl is great and the mini bowl is very well sealed. I have not tried the spiraliser blades yet. Obviously there is a fair amount of washing up as with any food processor.
The only downside for me is that the lid is so snug that it feels stiff to remove, however, it is unlikely to leak for this reason. There is an effective safety locking mechanism whereby, unless all the lid parts are properly engaged, the motor will not start. It took me a few goes to get the hang of this. I considered removing one star regarding ease of use only because you can’t just throw it all together quickly but need to set up carefully and take a bit of time to learn how to use everything. The instructions provided are easy to follow though.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersFor years I have been using a small grater with 3 blades, it works ok but the container is not large and it only chops, a bit too much if you are not careful. This is like going from a push bike to a Rolls Royce. It does everything, is not heavy, very easy to use and looks lovely on the work top – it matches my air fryer and the worktops. It is not cheap but I always think you get what you pay for. We are vegetarian and all that chopping takes up time – not any more. Really happy with it.

Golden Review Award: 23 From Our UsersWhen I lived at home, my mother had a well known brand of this type of machine which she seemed to use every single day in one way or another. I was delighted to have the opportunity to try out another high end machine myself. Firstly, I have known of the brand for a while, as my mum has several Cuisinart items, including an ice cream maker and I am pretty sure she once had a toaster and other bits of cookware. She is an avid cook and if she trusts the brand, then I knew it must be good. This is their new top of the range food processor which comes with two bowls, various blades and a box of attachments for grating, spiralizing etc. Not all of the attachments seem to fit into the container, but maybe I am just not putting them in correctly. Now as I write my review after using this lovely item for a while, I could bore you rigid with all of the technical stuff, but I think what you really want to know if you are considering buying is – what can it do? Well an interesting thing to note is unlike the machine my mum owns, there is no possibility of the blade dropping out as you pour food from the main bowl as they have come up with a way of preventing this – this is so useful as the amount of times I have fished the blade out of the food when pouring makes it so annoying and causes a lot of mess. The other thing I particularly like is that when you use the small bowl inside the main bowl, the liquid does not dribble into the main bowl, necessitating washing two bowls, so another improvement there. The machine is also noticeably lighter than mum’s machine, so you are able to lift it into a cupboard out of the way rather than leaving it out on the worktop. The discs will allow you to grate, slice and spiralize with ease and they are really easy to fit. However, for me the main use I have for this machine is for cutting, blending and pulverizing. In the small bowl for instance – throw in a drained and rinsed cheap can of chickpeas (I got mine for 25p) add a little olive oil, a small clove of garlic, a squeeze of lemon and salt and pepper. Blend with the blade a few seconds and you have instant humous for a fraction of shop prices. In the large bowl put all of your old bits of bread and using the blade make bread crumbs and freeze in a bag for later use. The plastic blade allows you to make great pastry, just blend the flour, fat and salt for a few seconds and carefully pour in very cold water till it just comes together – take it straight out at that point and put in the fridge to cool and rest. Don’t be tempted to leave it going in the blender as your pastry will be tough. Scones are simplicity itself to make too – just put the dry ingredients in the main bowl, (I prefer the metal blade for these) and blend for a few seconds, add the liquid slowly through the top and it’s done. Nuts can be chopped in seconds (keep an eye on them it is literally seconds) as can onions which are better chopped on pulse so they don’t get cut too small. One big tip to get children eating vegetables and to make mince go a lot further is to put some chopped carrots into the big bowl and chop up small, add to the mince and trust me, they will never know they are there!

I could go on and on but I think you no doubt realise by now that I am smitten with this machine. It is excellent in every way and a lot cheaper than the large Magimix my mum has which she paid almost 400 for from Amazon in 2017 when her old one finally died In my humble opinion, it is just as good and coming in at 250, pretty good on the pocket too. I hope this review has helped you to know what you will be getting if you buy this machine and has assisted you in making an informed choice.
I have included a few photos of my creations since I got this machine – not bad eh?

Totally smitten! - this is a great machine.

We are frequent users of food processors, at least once a week, so it was nice to update my old Magimix. Although it is down on power, rated at 550W, it coped well with testing to date.

I like the 2 bowl concept, it paves the way to getting rid of some of our ever-increasing gadgetry, perhaps the only thing stopping me getting rid of some of my hoard is this full-sized 3L Expert Prep is a heavy old thing to heave out of the cupboard when the mini processor is all you need.

The capacity will suit most families, and dicing and slicing work a treat. I do a lot of batch cooking, so the dicing function works well for chillis and casseroles.

I’ve also made scones, crumble mix and cake batter … all turned out great.

I also like the low, high and pulse function, my old processor was only single speed and pulse.

Fairly easy to clean, there is a well-constructed blade box which is a big step up from the ice-cream tub I used to use.

I’ve tried the grating blade and spiraliser, both work well, and the grating blade flips over for fine or medium. The adjustable slicing blade is useful.

All in all, a well-specced machine that will suit most. It won’t replace a liquidiser or stand mixer but does everything a good processor should. If you are not fussed about the colour, the silver machine is 38 cheaper.

This is an early days review. I have things to tell you .
It arrives in a massive heavy box and it cant have individual items lifted out till the whole inner box is removed which has to be done on its side …its really unthoughtful design.
The unit with the motor is pretty light for what it is. Good to move around easily but doesnt compare to motors power in magimix I would think as that is way heavier.
This is great how much comes included … I’m especially pleased about the spirulizer.
There is a dicing kit too and also the bits you would more expect.
However although you get a box to store some bits in it leaves loads of big and small things without storage .
Also the pieces feel well made .
I’d like to warn you though that so many pieces are sharp!-even bits you wouldn’t easily think were because they dont especially look it . The dicing kit especially . As I was washing some things I was surprised and dismayed and want you to know. Especially the dicing tube that comes tucked in but when take it out to wash discovered many spikes and the colour really blends and you are washing up so it’s easily all covered up. Not great I found .
Things only tended to say sharp subtly and for initial discovery I think should be labelled boldly .
It is a full size big unit -this is the 3 litres . The picture makes it look small but it’s not.
It’s great what’s included and that pushes the price up … but the magimix will last better I’d guess.

Golden Review Award: 109 From Our UsersWe’re loving this Cuisinart machine but it may not be the right food processor for everyone. It has pros and cons vs. our Sage BFP800. Notably, on the plus side, it comes with a dicing kit and a spiralising kit. There’s no whisk, but we wouldn’t use it anyway because no food processor seems to whisk as well as a food mixer.

It slices soft foods like cucumber and hard foods like root vegetables impressively quickly and evenly. It’s equally good at kneading. I make all our bread and the Cuisinart processor seems to do as good a job as our stand mixer, when it comes to dough. Mrs Gumby makes many a soup, and it blends them very well, although we’ll probably stick with our blender for soup because it’s easier to clean up.

Oddly, given how well it blends soup, it’s less good on thicker mixes and smoothies. Results are generally acceptable though. In any case, it doesn’t really matter because, as with soup, we’ll tend to use the blender.

For chopping, it works well on bulkier food such as root vegetables but can produce rather uneven results with smaller things like nuts. When grating, it tends to leave lumps of un-grated food in the bowl and on the blade. The Sage is better at chopping nuts and grating although still imperfect.

We’ve only experimented very briefly with the dicer and spiraliser. They both work pretty well. Dicing a potato was particularly successful.

It’s not too noisy, for a food processor. Assembly and clean up are a little fiddly but probably no worse than other processors. There are two speeds and pulse. The Sage only has one speed. But then, most of the time, with both machines, we mainly use the pulse button — most jobs take just seconds, even thinly slicing things like raw potatoes and beetroot. Dough making is the main exception — the machine needs (kneads?!) to be left running.

Like the Sage, it’s heavy, at just under 9 kgs, hence not particularly easy to move from cupboard to worktop and back, if you want to keep it out of sight. Ours will live on the worktop, so it’s a shame there’s no cover in the box, not that we expected one. The blade and disc storage boxes are extremely useful and will go in the cupboard.

No food processor is brilliant at everything. There will always be a compromise. Whether you buy this one depends on your requirements. If grating or chopping are key, it may not be ideal. On the other hand, if you value the dicing and spiralising kits, this Cuisinart machine is a no-brainer. And the Cuisinart is certainly a top choice if your main requirements are slicing, kneading and blending soup. If you buy it as an all-rounder, you won’t be disappointed.

Very happy with my Expert Prep pro. It is very powerful.
I am a little disappointed that there is only 1 grating blade as
I would have preferred the grating a bit more thin when I grate carrots.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersLight but powerful to do all I need in the kitchen. Excellent accessories, the dicing disc is a bit on the large side for doing onions, but excellent for parmentier potatoes. Spiralizer accessory works well too.

This is ideal if you don’t want to keep it on display on the counter as it is light enough to move from cupboard to counter with ease.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersI am still getting to know my new food processor, which I bought because it was highly recommended by raw food chefs. So far it has been great, and is easy to clean. which was a must for me.
