have had this since may 2020 and still use it, very easy to clean never had any problems with i
Bought to replace older model which was no longer working ( after 10 years of regular use) . Hope this lasts as well. The old one was harder to clean over time. I am hoping this one retains its very easy to clean properties! Very happy with purchase!
This is amazing. Cooks well and quickly with no fat. We have managed a couple of meat dishes from it and no issue. This is a very neat unit which does not take up too much room in our kitchen drawer. We purchased this because we sampled food from it at our Son’s and enjoyed the outcome. Our Son recommends cooking bacon on it so we intend to give that a go. Cleaning it is a doddle too. Definitely one to recommend.
Really well built and practical. Super easy to clean. It has a timer but I have not had the need to use it. The temperature setting works really well.
A very capable piece of kit! I can’t compare to any other grills but very pleased with this. Floating griddle is excellent, easy to keep clean and looks great. Not the cheapest but quality is there. Should last.
What a great buy ideal as a griddle and grill with the 2 sets of interchangeable plates even better.
Yes, it’s excellent in griddling & grilling your food with a neatly slides in at the side fat collection boat, as any fat will drip into at the rear of the unit or if fully open it will collect fat simultaneously from both heat plates which is a cool design in my opinion.
However, the big draw back is the fact the Timer’s ‘Ding!’ sound will happen one minute or more prior to the Timer finishing, and will continue to tick for the remainder of the minute. Sad that because the manual clearly states it supposed to make that ‘Ding!’ sound at the end of the countdown. So either the manual is wrong or Cuisinart has an inherent manufacturing fault that’s not been highlighted to them before, and I have today sent the them a message about it to clarify which is it?
Great bit of kit. Heat up time isn’t as quick as other brands I’ve used but it oozes quality. It’s quite bulky but feels top quality. Removal plates is great and oil catch design good enough. All in all very impressed
I was really pleased with this until it cut out whilst I was making dinner on a Saturday night.
Amazon we’re brilliant and arranged a refund/return immediately.
I will buy another and put this one down to bad luck.
I’ve since bought another from Amazon and it’s worked perfectly all week.
Perfect for healthy eating and comfortable and easy to both use and clean.
Definitely please I stuck with it.
I bought this grill and the first one didn’t cook evenly and I returned it for a new one. The 2nd one came with a broken timer. I sent it back and the third time Is the charm – this one is absolutely wonderful and worth the fight – and the money. The company has NO customer service that I could access but AMAZON was wonderful and more helpful than I can say.
Excellent piece of kit. Stylish and really esy to use. Cleans really easily too!
This machine has become my best friend, from cooking steaks, kebabs, burgers, fish to veg, it’s just amazing. It’s so easy to clean and takes up a small corner of my kitchen worktop. I would definitely recommend this machine .
Excellent very well made, tried it last night just great, fast delivery, I wasn’t expecting to get it for some time with the terrible times we are in but it arrived before the expected delivery date excellent service many thanks
I love this griddle and grill! When it arrived, my first thought was that it was bigger than I expected, and it’s pretty heavy. There’s not much chance you could just pack this in a cupboard in between uses, unless you have lots of large cupboard space! However, it’s so useful that it’s better to be able to keep it on the countertop.
You can cook so many things on this – we’ve used it to make pancakes, to grill burgers, sausages and vegetables, to make toasties, french bread……the possibilities are endless, and it’s a really easy process. It heats up speedily (and gets very hot, so you need to be careful around it!) and cooks evenly and well. There are interchangeable plates, smooth and ridged, and it couldn’t be simpler to remove and replace them, with a button to release, and a simple process of clicking them back into place. The drip tray is useful when you’re making burgers or food that releases a lot of fat, and the plates are non-stick and easy to clean.
I couldn’t recommend this highly enough – my teenage daughter got a bit harumphy at me having another gadget in our relatively small kitchen, but within the week she was raving about it and making pancakes daily! Absolutely love it, and the sturdy quality of it means we should be using it for years to come.
Everything is great on this apart from the timer control. The timer is a very old fashioned dial which feels poor quality.
The base plate, capacity and look of the product is great and will easily cook four toasties at a time to perfection.
Would recommend.
Really love this ‘Griddle & Grill’ from Cuisinart. It’s so handy and has been perfect both for large fry-ups at the weekend for the whole family when the oven grill is otherwise overloaded and everything has to be juggled which would make for more stress and staggered serving as well as when dinners I’m doing have more grilled components, allowing everything to be managed much more effectively with less issues making for much better dishes being served up. Equally it’s really handy when just doing something small for lunch or for one or two people as it;s quick and easy with less faffing around with the over. Works perfectly as a contact grill for quicker cooking times and just as well as an open grill when you have more going on and need the extra space. On top of this I love how precise you can be with the temperature which is more hit and miss with the oven grill and with this you get fantastic more precise control. The timer helps with this too, the drip tray is great for collecting fat and stopping everything getting a bit greasy so can be much healthier too and best of all the two plates come out easily for quick and easy dishwasher cleaning afterwards.
100% happy with this and wouldn’t hesitate to buy another although shouldn’t need to for some time – 5 years at least, as it comes with a five years warranty too. Also looks good in the grey finish and couldn’t be happier with it.
This is a quality grill. Nice and chunky, some may find it a little heavy, but in use it stays where you put it and feels like it could last a lifetime. The plates remove easily and once you have the knack, slip back on just as quick. I has a wide range cooking temperature, which goes higher than my previous grill, so just be carefully and double check the cooking instructions before you start. There is also a little timer on the unit, but it doesn’t switch the grill on or off, it is just a simple countdown clock with a ping at the end. It could easily have done without being fitted.
Cooking wise, it is great; steaks, chicken & gammon all come out perfect. Toasties are smashing. I do like this.
I’ve wanted a large tabletop grill for quite some time and this one has exceeded all my expectations. I previously have had a Breville panini-maker type of grill which worked on a similar principle – interchangeable plates etc, but it had several problems. This grill, however, is excellent. There are two sets of plates (flat and ridged) and they can be used in any combination, though I did find that the top and bottom parts are different, so be sure to try to fit the right one, then it just pops right in. It’s very easy to set up – literally put it down, plug it in and switch it on. There’s a timer that pings once it’s counted down, but it doesn’t switch the grill off – would’ve been helpful if it did.
It is very simple to operate. You can achieve a top temperature of 240 C which, and use it at much lower temperatures as well. I grilled my whole dinner on it – at about 100C, I had beautifully done potatoes in 15-20 minutes. Vegetables followed, and then a few sandwiches, and I adjusted the temperature very easily between my different needs.
Looks-wise, it’s very sleek and modern. The hinge is smooth and easy to pop. It’s quite heavy and I would say it’s full-size (not compact), and better suited for keeping on the counter. I don’t really have a lot of counter space, but this is so useful that I’m trying to figure it out. I actually wasn’t aware it could be used with the whole thing open flat, but I look forward to making griddle cakes and savouries. My mum thinks it’s great too. The plates are super smooth non-stick and very easy to clean. Thanks to the raised edges, there’s little leakage if you’re a bit careful. It’s a lot like a plug-in barbecue!
I’ll be getting a lot of use out of this, very happy.
This is an impressive piece of kit. It is quite substantial, sturdy and well made. It is surprisingly large
and I can’t quite agree with the maker’s description “COMPACT SIZE – The unit is small enough to leave out on your worktop and light enough to store in the cupboard”. On our worktop and takes up quite a bit of space, and putting it in a cupboard is not as easy as they make it sound.
However as a grill/griddle it is wonderful. Although not a dedicated sandwich toaster (apparently they make one) it makes a great toasted sandwich, and you can really pile in the fillings. It is also great for grilling vegetables, ideal of say you want to grill some mushrooms or peppers first to put in your toastie. It heats up quite quickly and has a range of temperature settings – and it can get really hot so things can be done quite quickly. Usefully the top plate can be locked in place or released for thicker items ensuring that it remains horizontal (the George
Foreman grill for example does not have this facility with the result that thicker items are squashed on one side due to the angle of the top plate).
It is easy to operate, and changing the plates is very easy, as is cleaning – so far I’ve only needed to wipe the plates over with a paper towel.
I’ve had a smaller 1 from a different company and loved it. This 1 is 10 X’s better quality. It’s also huge and big enough for a large family. I can’t get over how big it is. When I make a meal on this I’ll only take up 1/2 of it it’s that big.
Very easy to put the plates on and 2 types. Flat and rippled. Very easy to clean and reinstall.
I’m sort of speechless here because of the size and how heavy it is. It’s a good 7.9 kg so it’s nice and heavy.
I really do like the 5 year guarantee that comes with it. Most you usually get is 2 years. So this is a bonus and less to worry about. I just have no idea where it will go in my kitchen. It’s full of gadgets. It will be used often.
10-10 top quality.
