Had this on my wish list for a while, based on tge previous reviews & when it came back into stock, I ordered it straight away. Simple to put together & it is solid & good quality. Used the firepit 1st & it does let out a good bit of heat for evening garden sitting. May try other logs in future for lengthier burning time. Tried bbq yesterday & very pleased. Due to the size of this product, you can cook good party amount of food. Excellent so far, very pleased.

Handy to have a lid so you can leave the fire burning and open sides for more heat but not as sturdy as I thought and rusts easily

Very sturdy product, easy to assemble, always make sure all the parts are there before you start. This is a complete product you get the base, the grill and the covers to keep it in good condition. A good tip to keep it smart and to renovate is to paint with matt heatproof stove paint after a couple of uses.

My whole family fell in love with this pit. It’s sturdy , large and seems to last a while. Only issue is when used on the grass it tends to kill it. Wish the legs were taller which could prevent the heat reaching the grass.

Excellent product easy to assemble. We have found this a lovely addition to our garden and keeps us warm in the evening. It looks very smart and worth every penny. We tried wood at first which smoked a lot so then we tried charcoal which was great no smoke and lasted hours. Would recommend this product.

Great fire pit. Gives off plenty heat, good size. Just watch when putting your wine on the edge it does get hot .
Used the grill part for bbq for first time yesterday and coals cool very quickly and the griddle has wide gaps – you are at risk of losing sausages into the coal! But on the whole very pleased with this purchase.

    Great fire pi

I liked the size apart from the depth, being picky it could have been slightly deeper for wood burning , just means you have to chop the wood smaller more to save the flames coming too high when you want to use as a bbq

The cover was of poor quality and damaged very easy after the first time placed over the pit. When asked if a new case could be provided, was informed that was not possible and I would have to send whole product back for a refund and then buy again. Ridiculous. I now have a pit with no cover.

This is a good looking fire pit which is designed well. Easy to light and use as a source of heat for the garden. Charcoal burns well with the wood for a longer lasting burn time.
The grill is Slightly too low to use as a Bbq but if raised there’s less burning of the food.

Bought because our original fire pit (6 yrs old) had developed a hole. Because we knew we would use this we decided to spend a little more and buy this. We received this on time as communicated and used it the next day. Instructions for assembly were in picture format and just required screwing 3 main sections together. Further instructions regarding which screws went where would have been helpful Sturdiness is ok only used it once so we will have to see. It is very light so it is easy to move around. Overall we are very pleased it gives out a lot of heat from the sides and looks good.

For the price, so far, I find this a very good purchase that is perfect for everyone sitting around to keep warm and allows everyone to cook, rather than the chef having to stand away from the table. As we have a dog, I was eager the design prevented him from crawling under the fire pit as he could get burnt and this design is ideal as low and has rails close to the floor to make access difficult.
My only issue was when it arrived, although the packaging was undamaged one of the sections was bent. It looks as if it had been packed like this and I had to bend it back to assemble; OK but still not perfect. The factory must have known they had packed a damaged item!

For those who struggled to assemble this – I’m really not sure why! Having assembled many flat packs I can honestly say that this was no more complicated than any others! It’s slightly fiddly to get the screws in but Instructions were clear and it didn’t take longer than 20 minutes! Once assembled it looks lovely and from a quality perspective it definitely stood the test of time! We made a HUGE, massive fire (5 bags of wood and 5 hours burning time) and the pit held up (and astoundingly was still warm the next morning). Yeah there was slight warping and paint chipping – but surely people expect that? It’s a fire pit after all! And then cleaning was super easy because the pit comes out so you can just empty the ash into a bin bag. Overall I think it’s great – my only criticism being that the side panels don’t fit very well and constantly fall out if you move the fire pit and it does altogether feel a bit flimsier than I would have liked. The panels are not essential for the use of the pit so could just be left off – but it is a shame because they add to the look! It’s for this reason that I’m giving it 4-stars!

Nice large burning area so got a reasonable fire going. Good heat – much nicer than sitting round a table in cold weather and brightens the place up.
Cover a bit neat and lets in rain so we cover with a tarpaulin too. Also got a small hole quite quickly.
If not for this, would have given 5 stars.

Arrived within 24hrs; my teenage daughter built it in under 30 mins with no help whatsoever. Looks great, feels sturdy. Not yet lit it but hoping it will keep a small group warm this weekend when we try our best to celebrate the end of 2020 socially distanced in the cold, in Scotland in December. Blankets also at the ready and hot toddies and mulled wine will be served for added warmth. Think I’ll get plenty of use out of this over the coming months and would imagine when things return to normal it will remain a nice addition to outdoor entertaining.

For those that think it’s hard to put together it took me 10 minutes, I had it on my decking and loaded it up and it worked and looked great, bit overpriced maybe for the material used but all round well happy with it , just be aware if you have it on decking you will need to put something under it to protect your decking, I placed an old fire pit under mine and filled it with water , no issues at all.

Definitely serves the purpose. Assembly is just three steps. The metal pieces that hold the lid definitely could have been longer as it is almost impossible to close it on the first try. You have to land it perfectly on the short metals in order for it to not fall down. Apart from the lid situation I liked the product.

Cheap, stamped metal that will rust if not looked after. Must be kept covered, clean and dry. As a heater it works well and for the person that said you can’t use this as a BBQ, it literally comes with 50cm square grill. If this isn’t deep enough to cook food, you’re doing it wrong.

Good firepit. It’s big and well made. Hard to assemble: the bolts and nuts do not line up properly due to faults in manufacture and bolts being painted, which prevents them threading. I managed, but many people with only the pathetic Allen key supplied would fail to put it together. Once assembled, it’s good – a big bowl holding several split logs. If you use the BBQ grill you’ll only get one layer of logs in, which may burn for about an hour. With the grill removed, you get more logs, and longer burning time. I would have given five stars but for the difficulty of assembly, which is a manufacturer fault.

Good firepit and BBQ but hard to put together.

one of the screws is loose on the legs to the metal railing keeps falling off. Overall, like it. Not the best of quality for bolts and threading was off but who cares, it looks good. The tray itself is not very deep so not easy to use the BBQ grill with wood. Fine for coal.

Good size fire pit / BBQ. Useful shelf area around the sides. Grid supplied has a mesh that’s too coarse for grilling sausages, but we have a finer rack which we placed on top and that worked fine. The cover needs to be weighed down in windy weather, but it does the job. As a fire pit it’s great to sit around as the evening cools.

Just got this but read some of the reviews prior to ordering. Yes it’s a little fiddle to assemble at first but just stick with it and take your time. Got mine done in about 40 mins. It’s BIG and sturdy once built. It comes with a cover which is a good idea. Yes the paint will come off when used once or twice but that will all add to the effect. I must admit I can’t complain. This is a nice-looking fire pit which was pretty easy to assemble. It’s quite sturdy and looks as if it should last for a good while. Comes with all accessories and a cover. We use it on our patio. Makes a nice focal point to sit around in the evening. I recommend using your own allan key, probably the type with a handle, rather than the one supplied. Some of the screws go in at awkward angles and that was a slight frustration. Still, it was built in about half an hour and I am definitely not a home handyman;)

Not much assembly required but it is quite fiddly to insert and tighten the bolts. One bolt could not fasten as the thread on the hole must have been damaged as it would not accept any of the bolts. I would assume that the bolt holes are not checked after manufacture. Make sure all the holes accept a bolt prior to putting together. Other than that a great product and value for money.

  55. Cassandra says:

     United Kingdom

Easy assembly though some screws are a little fiddly. Took me about 20 minutes to assemble. Some of the screw threads do have a little paint in them which makes tightening the screws a little fiddly. I got around this by tightening a screw in the hole before assembly to make sure the thread was free of debris. Once done, it was much easier to assemble.
Had my first fire in it later that day, only have one minor niggle of an issue- the grate on the cover is a little too coarse and lets sparks out a little too often. Other than that, very happy with it. I haven’t attempted to cook food on it yet but the food grill does look to be a little coarse as well so smaller items of food might fall through.

Golden Review Award: 34 From Our UsersOverall, it is a nice pit and creates a good atmosphere with marshmallows and tea. The large sides of the pit mean you can put a cup of tea on it even it is is not in use. It burns wood and coal well. The safety guard on top is good and it comes with a little stick to lift the guard when it is hot. We haven’t tried it for cooking yet but I am sure there will be no problem, although the gaps between the grill are a little large. We have used it to burn confidential files too and it works well. So there are many purposes for this pit!

As for letting the ashes out – there is no way to open the bottom of the tray in the pit. Instead, you can take out the tray separately from the fire pit and pour the ashes out when cool. It is very easy.

We saw some mixed reviews about the waterproof cover but ours was fine and reached around the whole thing well. The only negative (which is why I gave four stars instead of five) is that the 4 side gates at the bottom of the pit are loose and fall out easily when moved but it doesn’t affect the overall pit once it stands still.

For reference: the instructions said it would take a short time to assemble but it took my brother and me 1 hour. The tool they give you screw the screws does not let you move in a 360 angle because you hit the side of the leg. You can only turn it 90 degrees each time. You’ll know what I mean when you try it – this is why it takes longer to assemble.

    Works a trea

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersFire pit arrived on time. Instructions said 20 mins to put together and that was about right, a couple of fiddly bits connecting the top though . When the logs were burning it gave off a good heat and we only put the net grill over at the end of the night. As it was a bought for a special occasion we added a packet of Mystical Fire to the fire to give colour changing flames. It is a bit pricy compared to other fire pits I had considered but is was available, looks good (lots of positive comments from friends when they have seen pictures) and it works well. Good product after the first use. The grill slats are very wide so best to have a couple of smaller ones if you’re using it as a BBQ (otherwise you may have charcoal sausages when they slip through).
The cover goes on top very smoothly and can be secured with a draw string, seems fine, not sure why so many have complained about the cover being too small unless they’ve resolved this.
Fairly easy to put together, 20-30 minutes.
We’ve used both wood and coal (I put in approx 2kgs coal) in it and looks as though it’ll be absolutely spot on.

Golden Review Award: 12 From Our UsersI had been looking for a fire pit/bbq for the garden of my new home. I looked online at several others but noticed that, although they advertised as a firepit/bbq they didn’t come with a rack to cook your food on…..But this one does!
I do find the gaps in the rack a bit wide and have lost a sausage or two to the fire, so I now use the purpose made foil bbq trays on the rack.
A little bit fiddly to put together, but worth the effort.
The firepit looks really stylish, a good space around the pit to put your drink on, and the pit itself throws off lots of heat from the fire.
    Can’t fault it.

Easy to put together, one corner doesn’t quite meet but a bit of moving around should help. The only let down is the cover, it doesn’t fit (too tight) and already has a slight hole in one of the corners. Hence the 4 star.

The exact same on for 139 on Wayfair. So defo value for money. Put it together when I had a bad back and it was so easy to do a 5 year old could have done it!! Only snag is the caged bracket things fall off if u move pit about and the cover is tight so pull on carefully or else it will rip. Not tried fire logs yet buts it’s also bigger than what i thought. It’s heave so means it’s sturdy and doesn’t move about.

I was suitable impressed with the delivery.

Assembly. Very easy to assemble. Took me around 15 mins.
There are 3 different sizes of screw, make sure you read instructions, and use the correct screw for the correct hole.

Good little fire pit. It is the right height to keep you warm when sitting around it. Have not tried cooking from it, but it seems awful low to do that comfortably. Overall great for the price

This product is good. But it’s small! And its low. Wish it was a bit higher. overall it’s good though. I recommend i

Not very deep and not the best for a large bbq but looks nice and is functional for small BBQs or roasting marshmallows.
    Easy to put togethe

Set up this fire pit on the day it arrived, generates lots of heat when not covered, but a nice glow heat when covered. Was a very windy day, so opted to keep covered which kept the ash at bay. Very easy to clean once cooled. All the side keep cool to touch.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersWe liked the look of the fire pit and were not disappointed. Tried a barbecue on it but food was charred on the outside, raw on the inside. Needs a bit of practice, methinks. Easily assembled, no sharp corners (which was a concern with grandchildren) and in our climate, the cover was a bonus. Good addition to outdoor living.

Golden Review Award: 17 From Our UsersEasy to put together, strong and sturdy, certainly looks the part very happy with it,cover although snug fitting just needs gentle handling but fits perfectly. Just a bit of advice, when putting the side ladder bits on loosen the legs at the crossbars and when the side ladders are locked into place re-tighten the legs makes it less of a struggle. Happy days!.

The cover is car too small like on others reviews. Rips as soon as you try and put it o

All five star except the cover. Brilliant fire pit but the cover is not big enough and tore the first time it was used . Shame but would still recommend this product.

Golden Review Award: 40 From Our UsersIt’s very good & better for sitting round than my large chimnea, kept us all warm on my bonfire night party I didn’t even need my big coat on lol my only qualm is that you can’t use the spark shield unless you lay the logs flat & then they don’t burn properly..
Was easy to put together on my own & waterproof cover seems ok but a little tight.
Was glad I found one I liked on prime so o was sure it would arrive on time, excellent, thank you.

    Brilliant.

Golden Review Award: 28 From Our UsersOnce assembled the firepit looks very nice. It was great to use as an open fire, safe with the guard and big enough to get a good small fire going with logs and kindling. But it isn’t quite deep enough for a reasonable fire that will last a few hours. It will only take one layer of logs on top of kindling and you can’t then use the guard until its all burned away a bit. Good enough with adults around but not so much if you have children. By the time the flames had died away leaving just embers so you could use the grill, it wasn’t really hot enough to cook sausages on.

But well worth it for the benefit of having a fire alone. It was relaxing and warm to sit out in the garden in front of the fire pit, even in the colder temperatures we have now.

Golden Review Award: 166 From Our UsersWhat a great fire pit this is I’m delighted with it!! Really sturdy & well made. So easy to assemble & everything fits & lines up perfectly. I’ve taken 3 photos to show how big it is I’ve put my cuppa on one for size comparison. It comes with a handy poker & BBQ grill & a nice mesh lid to stop sparks. It even has a hat with a pull drawstring to keep it snug & dry!! The “tiled” trim is metal too. Forget the rest, this must be the best (in this price range anyway)

    Fantastic fire pi

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis was easy to assemble and also includes a cooking grill as well as a waterproof cover (although the cover is quite a tight fit). Making a fire with kindling and logs is very simple and in no time you have a great looking fire for use in the garden.
