Happy with brightness and setting to dip the headlight so I don’t dazzle other road users. This was big concern for me when cycling as it may distract incoming drivers so over time I have bought a few of these because I loved them that much.
Great lights for the money. We go mountain biking in the dark quite often and the light delivers a great focused beam over a period of time. It’s small and light and sometimes I will also secure it to my helmet for extra vision.
Definitely does the job.
Used these to replace CATEYE set I’ve had since the 2000s. Front beam is plenty bright. You won’t be using it to go coal mining but it’s perfect for commuting. No oncoming car will be able to say they couldn’t see you… but they probably will anyway. USB charging is fast and a godsend versus stockpiling AA batteries.
Overall good for its price, battery lasts a good while on a single charge. The plug covering the usb socket may be a bit fiddly to remove prior to charging.
I don’t normally do amazon reviews, but I felt compelled to leave a review for these lights. They are amazing for the price, I already had a front a back light on my bike, which I thought was adequate, after purchasing the Defurhome ones, I realised how inadequate my lights were. They are really easy to attach, and are super bright, I have just ordered some more to attach to my cycle helmet, so I will be lit up brighter than a Christmas tree. In summary, throughly recommended. Even the front torch I would recommend if out walking anywhere at night, as its so bright and lights up in front.
Quality and brightness really good. Flashing option nice. The method of bike attachment is good, handy to strap on any sort of frame and is good that you can just take the lights off, leaving the strap in place.
Downside is that it is fiddly to remove the lights from the strap/holder; especially if hands cold and wet.
The usb charging cables – would be better if it was just one device/cable to charge both lights at once, or if it had a distinctive colour so it won’t get mixed up with every other cable in the house.
For the price I was pleasantly surprised at the quality. Fitting straps seem robust, lights are certainly bright enough( Don’t be a idiot and look directly at it) and the batteries are amazing i went a month traveling to work with them on without needing to charge. Has different flashing modes which is very useful for different situations.
WOULD RECOMMEND
After installing these lights on my ebike I feel a lot more safer commuting during the night as I’m easily seen by other drivers. My favourite function is the blinking feature and it can light up road signs well over 15-20 metres away.
Haven’t really tested how long batteries last before having to recharge but my commute time is usually just over 2 hours there and back.
The front light has a small indicator that will start flashing red to let you know that the battery is low so you know when to recharge.
Installation is very easy and I like that you can take the lights off the mount then recharge off the bike.
Only negative I can think of is the 7-8 hour recharge time it takes for the front light to fully charge.
Definitely highly recommend these lights if you have to cycle at night like myself!
For the price I’m very impressed and so easy to attach to any bike. Would recommend if looking for a half decent set of lights. I don’t cycle regularly on the road, only now and again so for me they are perfect.
The light are of excellent quality and the brightness is fantastic. They come with two usb cables to charge them , my only disappointment is that they didn’t come with a usb plug, but overall I’m happy with my purchase.
These have been my primary bicycle lights throughout college through rain and snow and through completely unlit roads. The battery life is great, I charged them only once a week for daily usage, but I am sure you can get them going for more than that. The front headlight is a very strong beam light that can light up an entire dark road up to 5-7 meters wide. Its a great purchase, no complains!
a great product overall, the only issue i have with it is that the front light sometimes slips and ends up pointing upwards when i go over a bump.
very bright, and seems to have lasted a long time: i have had it over a year now and the light itself works perfectly fine still, however through use the attachment for it has worn down and looks like it is about to snap off so sadly i will have to replace it.
in terms of battery life: a 15 minute commute twice a day using it on full power mode 4 days a week only ran out after about 3 weeks (and when on low power there is a red flashing light behind the power button to warn you of this well in advance to get home before it fully runs out) and through over a year of use the battery does not seem to have degraded much.
the only reason i do not give 5 stars is due to the slightly unstable attachment to the handlebars allowing it to turn when i hit bumps. overall would recommend for on road use
You will have cars flash at you cause you will blind them. Easy to install and is bright. The charging ports have very good rubber covers and are nice and solid
Easy installation on to my bike . I’ve not had long enough to rate battery life or water resistance. The front light is bright enough to see where I am going in pitch black country lanes with a nice a great forward and also wide beam of light . For the price it’s exceptional quality as stands will rereview after 3 months for battery life and if the lights work at as well as newx
After a few months I could not cycle to work and back more then 1 time (20 mins each way) with out the battery dying, so if I don’t charge them at work they’ll die over night.
Perfect for me. Charging would be better if it was usb-c. The brightness of this light is insane, very bright fyi. Battery life is a meh depends how much you charge it but only thing is the chargers dont come with a plug. Overall it will get you to where ever you want to go in the dark.
I’ve had a few different lights over the years. These seem pretty good for the cost. Full beam is pretty good, pretty wide angle considering the size. Range isn’t too bad either. Just don’t buy this thinking it’s going to light up the night. I tend to buy lights to be seen rather than to see. No complaints so far.
Nice and bright. easy to fit, adjust and remove. can be fitted in various places on different size bikes, depending on your preference. Battery lasts well. water proof, light-weight, robust. what else do you want from a bike light?
These lights are definitely worth buying if your looking
I’m very happy with them and the front light really lights up the tracks at nigh
Both lights are easy to install, as well as, to mount and dismount.
They are bright enough for city commuting and the different brightness levels mean you can avoid blinding others. The battery life is great.
Easily attached, battery life is good and they are plenty bright.
Both mounted well and tightly. Front light is very bright so careful how you angle it.
Does not have the battery life that I had expected – recharge 5/6 hrs + recharge takes 3/4 hours which in todays world is an inordinate amount of time. Good light but battery is a ‘let down’
I bought these lights for my commute home from work . . .
After 11pm a few miles of cycling and some very badly lit or dark side streets and one stretch through an industrial estate. A badly pot holed gravel-ly ride, very dark with bushes sticking out and the odd guard dog. It’s a rough ride.
What do we get?
– Lights – rechargeable. Front and back with quick fit rubber straps
– Two USB chager cables
– Short information booklet regarding useage times and light modes
I don’t know about you but as a well seasoned biker (53 now ) I’ve bought loads of lights over the last 30 odd years and nearly all of these modern day LED ones tell fibs about their power/brightness when quoted in Lumens!
when you’re seeing 1000 Lumens for like twenty quid – it’s just not happening.
These don’t!
The front light at 300 Lumens is spot on and illuminates those 6 inch deep potholes and crumbling speedbumps on my way home through the dark and lonely industrial estate.
No more punctures and buckled front wheels on my a bit pricey fixie!
There are several light modes and they all work very well from still to epic flashing mode!
The back light again at 70 Lumens is a little beacon of light shining out from my back end warning wagons and buses to keep their distance but you’ll always get the odd joker who likes to ‘buzz’ you by flying past at 60mph in a 40ft trailer. Nice
But we ride on!
The battery life seems to be good and I’ve not recharged them yet after a few weeks so that’s gotta be good!
I have been caught in a few torrential downpours so their IP rating seems to be living upto expectation. They’re still going and no fogging up inside the lens bit!
Yup. These are turning out to be the real deal folks and I will update this review if anything changes worth telling!
Just a quick one on that guard dog . . . A German Shepherd and he’s a big boy at that! Not to be messed with. I’ve been going past this guy for a long long time. 15 years ago he’d run the length of the yard to see me off – teeth bared and barking like mad with his huge chain clanging along the metal fence like an enthusiastic church bell ringer. It was some noise that!
I would cycle like a bolt of lightening to get past him just incase there was a gap under the fence and I’d get the run on him.
Nowadays he just sits quietly and stares at me as I ride slowly past. Sometimes I stop and give him a few biscuits through the fence out of my hand as I give him a scratch and say goodbye then carry on my way.
I think we’ve both slowed down over the years.
Ride safe everyone
Excellent product very bright robust and the battery life is good
Have three sets of these now for commuting and for mountain biking (supplemented with helmet light). I’ve found them reliable and great value for money. Battery life seems good and pretty reliable over last year or so.
Really great light, not too big but shine a powerful light. Easily removed and charge quick
I love these rechargeable lights keeps me safe on the road and can angle it so does not effect glare on cars
They’re definitely on the cheaper side of bike lights, and I’ve only had them mounted for approximately 10 mins but from what I can see the brightness is adequate. Definitely lights up as far as I need, might not be brilliant for fast down hill roads (especially in the country side where I am) but in towns I think they’d do absolutely fine.
Haven’t really checked say time brightness yet, but as I plan to have them on during daylight as well I shall get the Mrs to follow me/face me and see how they look.
Conclusion, plasticy, flappy “waterproof” flaps but cheap, bright lights.
Perfect! easy and quick to put on and take off your bike. I use them to commute to uni and back (light use) and haven’t needed to recharge them for 2 months.
Great set of lights, the front one is very bright. I’ve only used them 3 or 4 times and havnt had to charge them yet so battery life seems good.
Good light for a basic need. Not punching bright but do the job. Time will tell how long the silicone rubber mounting straps will last. Better than a few on the marke
The band is installed from the front not back, which make it annoying if you are taking it off and put it back many times. Other than that, works great with great quality as well.
It’s bright on my bike, only
Issue is when it does not charge , maybe the bulb blows fast but apart from that it’s works perfec
Recommend, have received comments on how bright they are. The battery lasts a few weeks (I have a short commute). Easy to charge, easy to take on and off as I can’t leave them on during the day. Happy Buyer.
What can you say, there lights? Great set of lights and do what’s required. 4 different modes and easy to attach to your bike. They basically attach like a belt strap. I highly recommend them, there nice and bright and easy to recharge. A charge lasts around 10-12 hours depending on what mode you use. For the price there well worth it.
I bought this bicycle light set for my grandsons Christmas for his new bike. He totally loves them, there is a great brightness to them and when on main roads at night he can be well seen due to the brughtness & flashing The front light has 4 settings, 2 that stay on and 2 that flash. The back light has 5 little red lights with 4 settings, the same settings as the front light. They’re rechargeable and the charge lasts a good bit when fully charged. He likes the fact that they’re easy to put on and off his bicycle, seen him using the front light as a torch in the dark in his bedroom after lights out! He is so happy with them and couldn’t wait for the the darkness to come so he could go on his new bike with his new lights on. Such a happy little boy he is. Even the price for the light set was reasonable. I would recommend this set even for adults bikes also
Really impressed with these lights. Done a few night rides in total darkness and these are mega! Really lights the way. I’d be tempted to get another rear as personally feel 1 lights not enough if in the roads but that’s just me. Click buy now!!! You won’t be disappointed
