It looks like it will do the job this winter. Stylish looks but the controls are quite complicated. I read the instructions many times, and might have got the hang of it, but there are many functions. It has a max and min temp, a frost prevention that sets a 7 degrees, a timer, oscillation….there maybe more but I haven’t worked it all out yet. The remote control is the size of a small matchbox, i can see that getting lost very easily, though i wouldn’t want something the size of a brick! I would have liked a way of storing the remote with the unit, to reduce the risk of loss.
I used it in my camping tent during mid April for 4 nights and it offered me a great comfort through the cold nights.
Very simple to use; with multiple heat settings and timer it was excellent, the remote is an added advantage. Based on the environment I used; could not judge on the noise.
Easy to use and ilike the fact it is a few inches off-floor so doesn’t burn it. I also like the oscillation feature. But I’m not sure it switches off when set air temperature is reached. Not an issue if you’re happy to switch off when warm enough. Found it amusing that the remote also switched my led light bulbs above kitchen unit.
Bought this to replace old heater and this one is far superior with excellent build quality, easy of use and far quieter than my old one. Love the little remote control too. I would definitely recommend this heater.
The product heats up room very quickly. However, I do find it noisy like cheaper brands. Also there is a humming/rattling noise when the unit is oscillating… I’ve used some lubricant to stop this. The remote control is a little on the tiny side, probably will get swallowed by the sofa or bedside draw gremlins to be never found again.
Fan is reasonably quiet heats up very quickly the downside is the thermostat it’s way out out and unresponsive to temperature changes. Don’t buy this without a remote control !!!! Otherwise you will be up and down changing the temperature settings
I have just finished my new laundry room and whoops forgot to leave room for a heater. Ah thought not in here long so thought would buy a little fan heater. Boy this is a powerful heater and soon warms the room up. It is small but strong. It also has a cool switch for our hot summers.
Bit noisy, temperature dial doesn’t seem to make much difference, but there is a difference between the two settings. It’s small and discreet, all in all, I think it’s good for the price
Bought to heat up home office to save putting whole central heating system on . This works really well and warms the room very quickly. There is also a cool setting for summer although not sure how effective this would be in the summer heat. Not noisy. Good purchase.
So far it’s done the job it was meant to do – warm up the room. Plenty of reviews saying this may not be the case a few months down the line but for now it’s a relatively quiet, effective and discrete way to take the chill off – especially when your only source of heating (Rayburn) was condemned between exchange and completion (you know who you are vendors)
Very effective fit instant test and a stylish look. The revolving function works fine but is noisy, can’t see why but is annoying !
Remote control is very useful.

Bought this to heat our living room whilst we waited for a replacement radiator. Works fantastically well, only takes a little while to heat the room. It is a little noisy at first but to be honest I don’t really notice it anymore.
Great value for money!

Also – Fazit – ich bin sehr zufrieden!
Bought this for 3 uses
1) small summerhouse heating in winter / spring / autumn (ok in summer too as this is Scotland)
2) for my small campervan when plugged in to power
3) for my work from home desk when I’ve forgotten to put the heating on.
Its small enough to be portable, quiet enough to run while I’m on conference / video calls and heats the space quickly. Handy remote when you don’t want to get up!
Takes around 25 minutes to heat up a normal size bedroom (not powerful enough for big spaces but perfect for smaller). Also it’s very light so easy to move around. One thing that I couldn’t find on the product description is weather it has a cooling option- so it doesn’t. It can be set on minimum temperature but that would make to circulate the air in the room, not cool the air.
We have used cheaper fan heaters that don’t last. We needed one that could run most of the day in our awning. Has worked so well we bought another for our caravan. Has a timer on it so can set to come on before we get up. It is a quiet runner.
I love my heater…its very silent, warms upwell, looks smart and takes up very little space.
I haven’t used the remote control, as I just put it on in my studio when I need it. Brilliant !!
Perfect little heater for my office at home which is in an extension so can be a bit chillier than the rest of the house especially with the French doors.
Working from home I don’t need the whole house warming during the day so this is ideal and really quick to heat uo.
I can have it tucked under my desk to give heat directly at my feet or further away if I want to warm the whole room. Having the thermostat is great to have it cut out once it’s warm enough and then just top up every now and then. Given the number of snow days we’ve had recently in North Yorkshire it’s been a worthwhile purchase!

Is the best available controls are electronic not manual which get jammed even when vaccum cleaners are used. Heat controls ,rotation etc etc are well thought out.It is great. How long it remains functional needs time to assess
This is the mode without a remote hence the 1 star. It’s small and mighty. I use this to heat my conservatory which it does in a matter of minutes. The thermostat works well too to stop us frying alive.
I never thought I would pay this much for a heater but I am glad I did. Very quiet, although a bit noisier on rotate mode, and if placed around a metre away from you wafts warmth over you in a very pleasant way. Being a tower construction it is easy to reach the controls and the remote works very well it is very light too. On mode 2 it heats my garage sized office very quickly and I don’t have to turn it off when the phone rings as I had to with my old heater either.

We’ve been using a Butane gas heater for many years, but it was getting old, probably gives out fumes we don’t want and you have to go out to a supplier and carry a fairly heavy cylinder around. The cylinders are getting more expensive and so a decent electric heater was the obvious option. We own basic fan heaters but this has a timer and an Eco Mode, which I was sceptical about and it is quite stylish. That said, at 90 you could get four gas cylinders or use a basic fan for quite a long time.
This heater has a remote controller, which is great, it looks stylish, takes up little footprint and is perfect in a medium sized kitchen. The Eco Mode is good because it switches off and on to maintain the chosen temperature. The timer isn’t a clock function which repeats, but a delay where you set how many hours before it comes on, which is fine.
It’s shorter than I expected, which is probably a good thing, so it would not be a big statement in a large space and it probably isn’t meant to heat a big room, but it’s perfect for us. Oh, and I like the confirmation beeps, which some people object to.

I have one of the tall ones which works ok but this is better. It’s quieter and less obtrusive. The remote works well. It’s hard to knock over. I bought it to use in my static caravan and now I want one for my flat.
At first I was a little disappointed. The eco function did nothing differently to the other functions. From my experience of other similar De’Longhi heaters I was expecting it to modulate between high and low settings as it approached the set temperature. It did not. However, when the cold weather set in the eco function came into it’s own. The heater works as I hoped it would, and reduces the power as the room gets warmer. The instructions did not make it clear what it should do so I didn’t know whether to complain or not. I’m glad I didn’t now! It heats my room quickly and efficiently.
Great fan heater with handy remote.
Noise level is acceptable and the warmth it produces is at great level.
The only issue we have with this model is the temperature up button on the actual unit – it stops working after a while. We are already on a replacement device and it starts to do the same. Remote control is still totally OK to use to change temperature.
4 stars because of that.
Nice and quite, and efficiently warm. But one problem about the remote control, it effects my freesat, changing channels, even after moving heater well away from tv.
I bought this little ceramic heater for a small bedroom, for the purpose of taking the chill off the air before bed and during sleeping hours.
This heater is really easy to use manually and remotely, and does pack out heat if you need it. The heater will shut off when it reaches optimum temperature and come back on again when it starts to cool – so be patient as it takes time to come back on. If you’re someone who wants constant heat with no shutdown, I’d suggest a different heater.
The heater does have a little noise but honestly it’s not that bad compared to my old dinosaur heater that died recently. If you want total silence, then perhaps an oil/column heater would suit better.
I find that eco mode suits me best, as I’m someone who overheats quickly and worry about appliances on while I sleep. I’ve only had this heater for a week now, but I’m very happy with it. Only time will tell with longevity of this purchase but I would recommend this product — – It’s solid. It works. Easy to use Manually or Remotely. Safety feature. Bonus (cool) fan for summer.
Heats a room up fairly well and the swivel action helps distibute heat all around. Remote control settings are useful, easy and comprehensive. Noise level is good – lower than a fan heater. The only slight problem is that I bought this as it was about the only upright fan I could find that had a ‘cold’ setting. However the fan is not very strong – it would not really cool you down on a hot day. Otherwise A1+

Bought it to heat the office and replace a white unbranded fan heater that didn’t last long. Have this heater a few months now and it’s on 8 hours a day 5 days a week. The heat out of it for the size is phenomenon there does be a heat haze on the tiles on front of the heater. These ceramic element are much better and longer lasting that a fan heater with a hair dryer type coil, as I’ve tried a few and they stop working after a while . If I was buying again I’d go for the model up in this range with the oscillating feature as it would distribute the heat better but for the price this C20 is brilliant, no complaints whatsoeve
Bought a couple of these space heaters for our Motor Yacht. Whilst they obviously make a whooshing noise, it doesn’t keep us awake. They heat the cabins on our boat quickly, and once the cabins are at the desired temperature the heater thermostat works effectively to switch the unit on and off. The anti-freeze mode is a great feature for the winter months and will help prevent any nasty surprises by preventing the tanks/taps freezing.
Heats our studio flat (which has a very high Victorian ceiling) within a few minutes! Incredibly useful in this cold weather, particularly during the morning and evening when we get home from work, when we would have to wait a long time for the central heating.
This is an excellent and very powerful heater, perfect for cold wintery nights when your need a little extra heat quickly. It’s lightweight, compact, stylishly designed and very efficient. It is exceptionally quiet, has two heat levels, and the warmest is quite hot. It oscillates, and also has an ‘eco’ function for more economic usage. Whilst I found it easy to operate on the device itself, I’ve been unable to use the remote. I had a huge struggle trying to remove the tiny plastic strip meant to temporarily isolate the battery. The back eventually flew off and the battery shot out, and despite trying repeatedly I’ve been unable to get it back in. Very frustrating indeed. Fortunately it can be operated without it.
“This little heater is of very good quality. It’s lightweight and easy to use, and at 2kW has a good output (although reduced power and cold blow options are also available).
The flex is of reasonable length. It’s handy to have a remote control with it, which is rather unusual and took me a while to get used to.
It doesn’t make much noise and heats up quickly. The oscillating effect ensures that heat the heat is spread.
Maintains the temperature chosen and the anti frost function is good too.
There’s nothing about this I don’t like. Good value for money and I would recommend this heater.”
Heater is great Controller makes it super simple to turn on and off and adjust the settings Warms up the room very quickly as well!
The fan is fairly quiet, not silent by any means but isn’t the low pitched drone that heaters usually make. Higher heat setting is louder, but also throws the warm air further, and takes the chill off a room quickly.
Winter is coming! What better way to keep the cold at bay than using this heater?
It is very easy to use – the buttons are self explanatory but even if not, the manual shows exactly what each one does.
It easily keeps the entire room warm as the warm air circulates everywhere instead of just one direction. It takes a few minutes to heat up to the required temperature but once there, it stays constant and gives you a nice homely feel.
As it weighs very little, it can be moved around the house easily. The power cord is a decent length but even then, I tend to use my own extension cable to ensure it can get into a position where it will heat the entire room up.
My only negative with this is the beeping sound that happens when a button is pressed. This is too loud – especially when I want to turn the heat down in the middle of the night – I do not want to be waking anyone in my house up.
If this was helpful, please tap that helpful button below – Cheers!
This is a really effective heater for warming a small room quickly. Easy to use, the instructions are clear and reassuring, so you can get this working within minutes of unpacking. And it heats up fast. Really impressive.
I’ve had many fan heaters, which are ceramic heaters. The De’Longhi HFX60V20 Fan Heater is probably the first that actually is quiet than others. Noise levels are subjective, but this one is quieter than other fan heaters. It has two heat settings, the second heat setting throws a good amount of heat, so it will warm a mid-sized room pretty quickly.
The heater also oscillates and comes with a small remote control. This heater is ideal in a small home office as you can quickly heat the room and switch it off and control it from a distance. It has visual read display and it makes a ‘beep’ tone when you change settings the sound is pretty loud and I guess it needs it with the remote, so people with bad eye sight can listen to the beep/noise of the button presses.
Great heater for the visually impaired and elderly, so I can only recommend this. The price is only the downside, but it is great to see heaters that are made for all in society.
I have been using a DeLonghi heater in the same series for some time, but found I spent a lot of time fiddling with it to adjust the heat, as there was no accurate way of setting it. The visible temperature setting on this heater is a great advantage, and the choice of an ‘Eco’ setting means that regulation of the heat is done for me, and performed efficiently. The fan is not too noisy, and the length of cable supplied means I can place the heater precisely where I want it in the room. The controls are nice and large (there is a remote, but so what?), and temperature adjustment is easy. When switching on the heater each day, however, the last settings used have not been stored, which is a pity (especially as other heaters seem to do this as a matter of course). Although the heater should switch off if tipped, this cannot be relied on, and it’s actually quite difficult to find a position where the cut-out operates, which might be a worry if you have small children or animals. As a heater, though, it’s very good, and a big improvement on my old one.
I have had a small fan heater for a number of years and whilst it can certainly punch out the heat
when required, it has become unreliable, so I was delighted to sample and test this De Longhi HFX60V20 Fan heater, finished in black.
It’s immediate look is very good. The appearance is stylish (It’s Italian!)
So how did it fare in operation?
It performed very well indeed.
I particularly liked the movement of the fan heater, in that it dispersed the heat across the room and
not, unhelpfully in one fixed area.
It has four grades ranging from low to high power and with a nod to current times an ‘Eco’ setting.
There is also a 24 hour on/off option , but to be honest I would not personally use that, purely from
a safety point of view.
It comes replete with a remote control -so you don’t have to leave your archer to just it.
When adjusting it emits a loud beep -to let you know that your instruction has been received -and personally
I can get past that as the products other qualities outweigh that particular point.
Overall this is an effective, lightweight, reasonably priced fan heater.
At 70 quid, I was wondering what I was getting with this little heater. I didn’t find the buttons intuitive, but that’s because it does quite a few things. It has a standby switch and an on switch. This means it doesn’t work with a smart plug, but this doesn’t matter because it own digital timer.
It has a digital display on which you can adjust the temperature up and down. You can work all the functions for the remote.
It has an Eco-plus function. Apparently, this automatically selects the most economical setting for the temperature you want.
Its 2 USP features are these: you can have it just as a fan for ventilation when no heat is omitted.
You could also have it on the snowflake setting where it only comes on if the temperature goes below 7. There is no choice with this. It is set at 7 permanently.
I wouldn’t say it’s silent. You can definitely hear it whirring.
The heat settings themselves come in 2 power levels: maximum and minimum. You can have the temperature shown in centigrade or Fahrenheit.
There is a dust filter on the back which you can remove and clean. It had a safety function whereby, if it topples, it shuts off automatically.
This is a nice little space heater, it heat our conservatory very well and I’m quite attracted by the fact it doubles up as a fan in the summer.
I really do like this little heater. On the plus side it heats the room I’m using it in quickly (and that is in mode 1 which is a low energy consumption rather than 2 which is designed for rapid heating), and you can set to oscillate or fix the direction in place. There is an eco-mode (which I must admit I haven’t used but it states that this balances energy consumption against comfort. It has a max temperature but I don’t set the heater anywhere near that anyway), a timer, an anti-freeze function that stops freezing temperatures but doesn’t heat and a ventilation mode (essentially a fan function).
All of this can be controlled on a front panel or, for convenience, via a remote control — which comes with the appropriate battery.
Downsides, it isn’t quiet (but I wouldn’t expect it to be) — however I don’t think it too noisy — but the biggest downside is the pathetically short power lead (which is unit fixed).
However, powercord aside (and be aware that it has some noise to it) this is a cracking heater.
An incredibly smart and sleek looking ceramic fan heather which really quickly warms the room up in no time at all, I love the design and it compliments my lounge well, to be honest, I’d use this in most rooms. It’s a decent size, not too big. The remote control function is really handy, it’s really simple to use. I love the fact this has an Eco function as I find other fan heaters from experience expensive to run. This is absolutely fantastic quality and I’d highly recommend anyone purchase this if needed. It had a safety feature is knocked over, it cuts off. Great as I have a clumsy dog! Incredibly quite also, doesn’t sound like I’ve got a jet plane in the lounge. Really satisfied with it so far.
The De Longhi HFX60V20 Ceramic Fan Heater is a very compact but powerful heater weighing in at less than 2 kilos with a 2000 watt motor. While there are plenty of cheaper fan heaters this is packed with features that make it well worth the asking price, 67.99 at the time of this review. Those features can either be set manually or with the rather small remote control. The battery for the remote is a 3 volt lithium item and one comes supplied. However you set your heater as you make each step a rather loud beep, which can be quite startling the first time you hear it, is emitted. Quite why it needs to be so loud I’m not sure.
The main features are:
24 Hour Timer,which is self-explanatory.
Dual Heat Settings, 1 operates the heater at minimum power for maximum economy,2 runs it at maximum power for rapid heating
Eco Plus, which automatically sets the power levels to maintain your chosen temperature economically.
Anti Freeze, this setting will maintain room temperature to 7 degrees, ideal for an outhouse or laundry room which you don’t need heated for comfort all the time but have water pipes that might freeze.
Anti Tip, or as De Longhi call it the Sicura system,if the heater is knocked over it will switch off for safety reasons.
The heater warms up very quickly and oscillates to spread the heat. With it’s small size and neutral black and white colour scheme it’ll blend in to most rooms almost un-noticed.
The heater comes well-packed and includes a brief but comprehensive instruction booklet. It’s very simple to use and reading the instructions and a few minutes experimentation will be enough for most to get the hang of it. The leaflet claims that the readout can be changed from Celsius to Fahrenheit but mine stayed stubbornly reading in Centigrade whatever I tried. This hardly a big deal as I was trying out of curiosity rather than need, quite who would want a Fahrenheit reading in the 21st century I can’t imagine.
Overall a great little heater, it’s quiet, compact, powerful, economical and comes with a 1 year guarantee.
This little heater is a quality product. It’s very simple to use. The lead provided is adequate – any more would present a possible trip hazard. The controls are simplicity itself and the fact that you can use them from a small remote control from your arm chair adds to the desirability of the product. The oscillator means the heat isn’t just directional but spreads around the though – although if you wish to direct the heat, simply allow it to oscillate until it’s pointing where you want it and turn off the oscillation.
It’s a great addition to the home as it will give a boost to a room in which the central heating has not yet come on. This means you don’t have to boost heating for the whole house just to take the chill off the room you want to use. A really great feature is the ability to set a timer so that either the heater will turn on just before you want it, or to turn off at a preset time. It’s an expensive heater but, to my mind, you get a lot for the money.
There are two things I like about this fan heater which, for me at least, make it stand out from others I’ve previously tested – it’s whisper quiet in pumping out its heat at maximum, and, just as importantly, whisper quiet when in oscillation mode. These advantages alone would cause me to prefer it over others, despite any other drawbacks it might have. And there really aren’t any.
It’s true I found the digital touch screen controls slightly less than user friendly at first, but once you’ve played around with them a bit, that problem disappears. I was caught out initially by the built-in slow responses; in some cases a few seconds elapse between touch and action.
An earlier reviewer also complained that it beeps. Mine doesn’t beep..
The supplied remote control, duplicating the touch screen functions, is a necessary accessory, and a joy to use, especially if you have a bad back or, say, BPV, because you obviously have to bend down very low to operate the screen on the heater, when it’s likely to be blowing warm air into your face.
One is left only with the problem that there are so many heaters like this on offer these days, all, like this one, made in China, and one can never be sure that the expensive one with the well-known European brand name hasn’t been made in the same factory as the one at half the price with much the same specification and a strange name.
And with little to choose in terms of performance, appearance becomes much more of a significant factor in making a choice.
In my view, you don’t want portable space heaters to force themselves on your attentiion; but in most surroundings, making this one black and white mostly has exactly that effect. (and it’s not white, incidentally, more the much-maligned magnolia of years gone by). Whilst neutral colours in themselves, their stark contrast makes them stand out anywhere other than, say, in a totally black and white room – where they choose to illustrate it in use…
However, black and/or white/offwhite are unlikely to clash horribly with any colour scheme, and perhaps this is why space heaters generally appear in these colours. Disney researchers came up with a colour, variously known as “noseeum geen” or “go away green” to make dustbins and suchlike disappear from their fantasy worlds, and the same principle could well be applied to make ugly space heaters disappear from your otherwise elegant surroundings; but I suppose they might think it would make them disappear from view on the shop shelves, too.
But I can’t say other than that I really liked this quiet little heater and its RC, and leaving aside any issues about the price – and it’s worth bearing in mind that here are plenty costing a lot more – I can find no grounds for awarding less than five stars. Operating for two hours in my 16x12ft wooden but insulated studio on this very cold day, it raised the temperature from 43f to 60f. I’ve now been using it there for six weeks, and I’m delighted with it. I don’t think I’ve EVER said that about a fan heater before.
I’ll start off by saying that this is a fantastic little heater from De’Longhi! It’s a great size and for such a small unit it really gives off the heat. I really like the design of it, it looks very modern and high quality. In the box you get the heater, remote control and instructions. The heater is very lightweight and can be moved around easily, it can be fully controlled via the remote which is nice and compact but again feels good quality. It has a removable filter on the rear for easy cleaning.
It has two different heat settings; 1100w and 2000w, an Eco mode that helps to save power consumption, a frost setting to prevent the temperature going below 7 degrees and a cold blow setting. The base of it is motorised so the heater can oscillate, and you can turn this on or off. There is an in-built timer function that allows you to set a delayed switch-on or a delayed shut-off depending on the device being on or off when you press the timer button. The remote works very well and unlike some heaters I’ve used, you don’t have to point it directly at the heater for it to register.
The heat that this little thing gives off is impressive, I used it in my small box room and within no time at all it was heated up to a comfortable level. I find that using it on the highest setting for 15 mins and then turning it down to the lowest setting works well. Once the ceramic is warmed up it really kicks out the heat, it doesn’t glow though so don’t worry about it lighting up your room like other heaters do. The Eco setting works really well, it seems to work by switching the heat off and keeping the blower on until the ceramic cools down and then it turns the heat on again. You can set the desired temperature which will show on the screen, I wish the heater would alternate the display to show you the current room temperature and the desired temperature, it only shows what you set it to, my last heater showed both temperatures and now I miss not having that anymore.
It’s a very quiet heater especially on the lower setting, I’ve had half a dozen blower heaters over the years and this one is the quietest so far. Its not silent by any means but the noise level is very acceptable and doesn’t bother me. One thing that does bother me however is the stupidly loud bleeping noise! Every time you change a setting or turn it on/off it makes a loud beep, why is this even a thing!? If you have people in the next room trying to sleep, they will definitely hear the beeping noise. There is no way to turn it off, De’Longhi really should have added a setting to turn it off or at least make it quieter, it’s a shame that the worst thing about this is the beeping noise, bit of a let-down to be honest.
Overall, I think this is a fantastic little heater, it’s a bit high priced but the quality of it does represent this well, I don’t think anyone would mark it down for not providing enough heat especially due to the size of it. It should look great in any home and the remote control is a great feature, so you don’t have to keep getting up. I’m going to rate it 4 stars due to the silly beeping noise and the fact it doesn’t display the current room temperature. Apart from the two minors issues I very much recommend this item and I think anyone purchasing it will be very happy with the aesthetics and performance of it.
This fan heater is one of the best things I have in the house for this winter.
I hate cold, it is the only think that upset me. But my family cope better with cold ,so during the winter or when is bad weather, I don’t have to turn on the heating in the hole house.
Thanks to this fan heater, we don’t have to argue again if is so cold or to warm in the house.
Anyway, I consider, works perfectly for me in my room. Gives me the heat I need, it is easy to use, economical and a good value for money.
This fan heater from De’Longhi acts as both a fan (for summer cooling) and heater for the colder months. It uses ceramic technology for more efficient and sustained heating.
It has four modes including an Eco mode for keeping the heat consistently at 26 degrees C. It oscillates in order to spread heat efficiently.
We’ve found it really easy to use, both with the buttons on the heater and on the included remote control. It’s also a nice looking heater and also very light, making it ideal for moving around the house.
Overall it’s an excellent heater and a really nice way to boost your heating if you’re in a house with night storage like mine.
Bought to heat a 5M x 4M log cabin and it does the job however it needs to be on the high setting and it’s anything but whisper quiet. On both low and high settings it’s not quiet in my opinion.
It does however heat up and cool down super fast and it does heat up the room quickly. The fan only setting will also come in handy for summer I think and the anti frost might come in handy during the winter to keep it from getting too cold in the morning.
Very easy to use and the remote works well from across the room no issues.
This heater is a little smaller and A LOT lighter than I expected. The weight actually makes it feel a bit flimsy, but other than that it feels pretty well made.
I have a tower style De’Longhi ceramic heater that is great so having a smaller version for under the desk in the study seemed like a good idea.
Despite being so lightweight it sits on a steady base and because it’s so small there is no wobble when it’s set to oscillate.
The amazing thing with these heaters is just how quickly they warm up. It only takes about 10 seconds for it to be pumping out at full heat (temp set to 22degrees) and the fan distributes that heat to fill a room quickly too.
The fan is pretty quiet so in use it’s as unobtrusive as can be expected, but as other have pointed out it beeps every time you push a button – either on the unit or on the remote. That would be pretty annoying if, for example, you had this in a bedroom to use at night.
The unit has four different modes:
– Ventilation: Fan only runs. No heater. Thi scan be used to circulate air which can have a cooling effect in some circumstances.
– Anti-freeze: Keeps the room at a temperature of 7 degrees C or above! (Is this actually useful? It would mean leaving the unit powered on in this mode, but not actually running.)
– Heating 1: Fan and heater with minimum power.
– Heating 2: Fan and heater with maximum power to heat the room more quickly.
As noted above, this unit heats a room pretty quickly – and that was using ‘Heating 1’ mode! So, you have ‘Heating 2’ in reserve should you need it, but in my testing even the minimum power mode is quick enough.
The unit also has an ‘ECO PLUS’ mode which apparently reduces the power usage further (and limits the max temperature to 26 degrees C).
As a ceramic heater this unit should be more efficient than non-ceramic based heaters. This is because a ceramic plate is used to store heat rather than the heating element having to do all of the work all of the time.
An interesting feature is the timer. Not interesting because it is a timer – that’s pretty normal – but because the timer can actually be used in two ways. This timer functions as a ‘delayed switch-on’ or a ‘delayed switch-off’ timer. ie If the unit is in standby and you set the timer then the unit will switch on after the delay. If the unit is switched on and you set the timer it will switch off after the delay. Again, the usefulness of the delayed switch-on may not be obvious, but some may have a use for it.
The timer function works in any of the four operating modes.
The unit can be operated from front panel buttons or the included remote control which replicates all of the seven front panel buttons. It comes with a fitted, replaceable CR2032 button battery. There does seem to be a small delay after pushing any buttons before the unit responds.
The unit also has a tip cut off function. If the unit is accidentally tipped over, the unit will switch itself off. The anti-tip function also works in any of the four operating modes and seems to reply on an internal tilt sensor rather than a physical switch under the base as some similar devices use. Again there seems to be a short delay between tipping the unit and it shutting off and between righting the unit and it switching back on. The delay is only a second or two so shouldn’t pose any danger, but was a bit disconcerting in testing.
All in all, this is a nice little heater. For around seventy pounds I might have expected a better build quality feel to the unit, but as this will just sit under a desk and as it performs well with a good feature set that price isn’t a stretch.
We already have a cheap, basic non-fan ceramic heater, bought from a supermarket. All it does is heat, but it’s effective for providing quick heat for a small area when you want it.
This De’Longhi fan heater is much more sophisticated. The fan means that the heat is more widely dispersed. (You can use it as a non-heating fan, which means you don’t need a different unit for the summer months.) It has several other good features:
-An oscillating function to spread the heat still more widely
-Four heating modes: low power, high power, antifreeze (keeps the room at a constant 7C) and an “ECO PLUS” function to keep the room at a specified temperature up to 26C
-A 24-hour timer enabling delayed switch-on and shut-off
-Operation from either from the heater console or a remote control with the same control panel (the remote uses a lithium battery, which is supplied). I am notorious in our family as an old Luddite who gets stuck on using controls, but even I had no problems
On the aesthetic side, it’s smaller and better-looking than our old cheap one; as my wife commented, it’s very unobtrusive. At under two kilos, it is also very light to move around. It is very stable, and has four rubber pads on the base, avoiding the risk of scratching surfaces.
If you want to store it, the box is fairly large (37 cm x 27 cm x 21 cm). To keep this in perspective, the heater is shorter than our old one is minus its base (which you have to remove to store it in its box) — it really is very compact.
The only downside is the loud beep when using the controls. Obviously you need this for confirmation/safety, but it really is too loud. Not a big enough flaw to reduce the five-star rating, but a bit of a bind.
There are all grades of these heaters on the market, and I haven’t done any serious price comparisons. However, as our old basic heater cost around 25-30, this one — from a recognised manufacturer like De’Longhi — is good value for 68.
2) CAVO ELETTRICO: DAVVERO CORTO!
Piuttosto scarso come ventilazione estiva.
It was quick and easy to set up. A powerful heater with very little noise
Buon rapporto qualit prezzo.
Der Lfter sieht sehr gut aus. Die Handhabung ist einfach. Ich bin sehr zufrieden.
I used it in my camping tent during mid April for 4 nights and it offered me a great comfort through the cold nights.
Very simple to use; with multiple heat settings and timer it was excellent, the remote is an added advantage. Based on the environment I used; could not judge on the noise.
Will highly recommend
Easy to use and ilike the fact it is a few inches off-floor so doesn’t burn it. I also like the oscillation feature. But I’m not sure it switches off when set air temperature is reached. Not an issue if you’re happy to switch off when warm enough. Found it amusing that the remote also switched my led light bulbs above kitchen unit.
Bought this to replace old heater and this one is far superior with excellent build quality, easy of use and far quieter than my old one. Love the little remote control too. I would definitely recommend this heater.
Soddisfatta!
Would have given 5 stars if it wasn’t for the noise
The product heats up room very quickly. However, I do find it noisy like cheaper brands. Also there is a humming/rattling noise when the unit is oscillating… I’ve used some lubricant to stop this. The remote control is a little on the tiny side, probably will get swallowed by the sofa or bedside draw gremlins to be never found again.
Nice small remote, not too noisy, love all but spongy remote buttons and having to reset temperature and eco button every time I turn it o
Fan is reasonably quiet heats up very quickly the downside is the thermostat it’s way out out and unresponsive to temperature changes. Don’t buy this without a remote control !!!! Otherwise you will be up and down changing the temperature settings
Almost instant heat. Perfect size to put under a desk in an unheated office shed.
Thermostat doesn’t trigger until the room is pretty warm.
Fan is quite noisy but its an unobtrusive low-pitch rush of air.
To warm a single room, for just a short period.
Good product, nice and easy to use however would be better with better height, or at least adjustable height.
The packing is fine and tidy.
Unpacked the goods and found the goods are working as described.
It is quiet and simple to use.
Looks really neat and works well and easy to use, remote control also easy to use and the quietest I have come across.

So far it’s done the job it was meant to do – warm up the room. Plenty of reviews saying this may not be the case a few months down the line but for now it’s a relatively quiet, effective and discrete way to take the chill off – especially when your only source of heating (Rayburn) was condemned between exchange and completion (you know who you are vendors)
quite and quality works well in our studio 5 meter by 5 meter heats the whole room easily

Very quiet for fan heater, decent controls, construction and materials are excellent as you would expect from delonghi. Using to heat a 5x5x2.4m room.

This heater is absolutely brilliant. Planning on buy another one.
Great little heater, belts out the heat perfect for small office Easy to use
Perfect little heater for my office at home which is in an extension so can be a bit chillier than the rest of the house especially with the French doors.
Working from home I don’t need the whole house warming during the day so this is ideal and really quick to heat uo.
I can have it tucked under my desk to give heat directly at my feet or further away if I want to warm the whole room. Having the thermostat is great to have it cut out once it’s warm enough and then just top up every now and then. Given the number of snow days we’ve had recently in North Yorkshire it’s been a worthwhile purchase!

It is a great heater. Very warm and works well in an open space. It is also very quiet, which is great!
Is the best available controls are electronic not manual which get jammed even when vaccum cleaners are used. Heat controls ,rotation etc etc are well thought out.It is great. How long it remains functional needs time to assess

Excellent product . Powerful but not too noisy . Bit more expensive than other models but well worth the extra . Would buy this again no problem .

Used in Conservatory and works well provides excellent heat compact and easy to move around. Remote is handy and works well. Very good value for money
Heats up very quickly, looks neat and modern and easy to use 🙂
Heats a room up fairly well and the swivel action helps distibute heat all around. Remote control settings are useful, easy and comprehensive. Noise level is good – lower than a fan heater. The only slight problem is that I bought this as it was about the only upright fan I could find that had a ‘cold’ setting. However the fan is not very strong – it would not really cool you down on a hot day. Otherwise A1+

Heats up quickly, not too loud, looks neat and tidy
Easy to use and very good for keeping your room warm. The model I have does not have remote control
Small, warm, reasonably priced, eco mode, rotates, loud PEEP when using controls. Works well
Bought it to heat the office and replace a white unbranded fan heater that didn’t last long.
Great little portable heater. Works well. However even on setting 1 or eco it is pretty loud (louder than an A/C).
This is a review of De’Longhi Fan Heater
I gave this to a friend so this is her review:
Oh this looks so nice & produces lots of heat, I just can’t find the instructions to work the modes but I really like i
This is a really effective heater for warming a small room quickly.
Definitely recommend!!!
Ottimo rapporto qualit prezzo , leggermente rumoroso , ma riesce a scaldare rapidamente piccoli ambienti . Consigliato
Piuttosto scarso come ventilazione estiva.
