Powerful drill that makes light work of hole cutting and drilling.
It is fairly heavy but not cumbersome, I expect the weight makes use easier as it compensates for the impact action.

One thing I like particularly is that the manufacturer actually designed a proper space in the box for the cable and plug, so packing it away is easy. If you’ve wrestled with fitting anything back in the box it came in, you will know how small details like this are appreciated.

Fantastic tool, you won’t regret buying this, goes through concrete like soft butter. Don’t know how I survived before this, all that time spent drilling walls for ages. Dewalt can do no wrong in my opinion. you will need a SDS drill and chisel kit as well, Makita does a good kit with all the pieces in a foldover plastic wallet. Dewalt does seperate kits so would be more expensive.

Feels really solid. Have to admit that DeWalt gained my trust with their tools. Needed a hammer drill with chisel function to be able to take all the browning off the walls as well as chasing new cables. This performed excellent throughout the whole job. Also used did to drill into the brick which made the job quicker and easier. Definitely recommend DeWalt tools weather you are an enthusiastic DIY’er like me of a professional.

Great drill and you don’t most certainly need to spend anymore. I have undertaken many bricks, walls, floor, mixing cement, amongst so much and it’s light weight and so easy to use with a long cord.. perfect for the amateur and professional.

Great drill for drilling brickwork, have not used the chisel, but drills through bricks with very little effort.

It was a gift for someone who is in the building line and he liked it very much. He says it is much better than his Makita drill which eventually was coming to end of life.

Does what it says. Nice drill even against hard baked bricks.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersShould have bought one years ago. Nice addition to my Dewalt collection. DIY jobs are becoming easier and I’m not reliant on begging friends to loan the big gun tools.

Power of chiselling is great. Had to replace coping stones along 30′ wall and this baby made light work of removing cement mortar bed to relay. Drilling through very rough bricks is like child’s play. I already have a brushless/cordless Dewalt hammer drill but it struggles to really drill through hardened bricks and I would have to really apply shoulder pressure. This things goes straight through in seconds.

Worth the money and comes with a Tstack case too. Quids in.

I had a 10 year old Bosch SDS drill which blew up on me drilling through concrete blocks. Decided on this as a replacement and wish I’d upgraded to a quality item like this years ago. Extremely powerful and makes light work of drilling into hard materials and chasing out channels on chisel mode. Great!

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersDrilling 8mm and 14mm holes in concrete blocks to a max depth of about 10″… no problems at all! Bit goes through the concrete like butter using the quad blade bits. Have not tried breaking concrete with a spade bit and from my understanding you would want a heavier tool for significant concrete breaking anyway. But for drilling this has been peachy so far.
UPDATE Nov 2020. Continues to perform like a champ. Been drilling through concrete, steel plate up to 20mm thick, no problems.

Excellent value at just over 100 beer tokens.

Not too heavy-I have most of one hand missing and find it comfortable.

    Comes with black plastic case.

A very powerful tool, makes the cordless items redundant for me.

It is not the most powerful drill, but does get the job done. It is finding it a little hard to get stainless steel screws into green oak, but that might just be the job at hand. Solid build though. not too heavy.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersIts great. If you have struggled drilling holes in masonry with a small drill you will be amazed at the speed at which this one does the job. Wish I had got one long ago – I would have saved not just hours but days. Of course it is more expensive than the normal DIY drill but it looks like it will last much longer. It is a bit heavy but good engineering products generally are. The chisel action is for very light work – it will not replace a large kanga hammer but as a drill and light chiseler it is great. Very pleased.

A well made drill, also it’s lightweight makes it easy to use, and there’s enough power too. The long cable is very handy especially when working off a stepladder.

Bought as replacement for similar model some thieving scroats nicked from my garage last year. Looks and feels like a quality, sturdy product, though only drilled 4 holes with it so far (albeit with zero effort)! Solid, functional case. Clear instructions. Decent length, sturdy cable. I’m no DIY expert (hey, I drilled a hole through a piece of floorboard then through my finger a few years back!) but seems like more than a decent drill for my needs. It’ll probably outlast me…

Golden Review Award: 13 From Our UsersFor 75, delivered, I got the drill and a good quality case to keep it in. I bought this bad lad for a specific task to take out some addled plaster on a bathroom refurb project (see the results!). and it didn`t let me down. I`m not trade but I try to buy decent kit (as I see it) for use in my DIY projects and at the price offered DeWalt seemed a natural choice as I see the lads using either them or Makita on the sites. Weight wise its light weight yet doesn’t feel cheap with a generous amount of cord so you can move around unrestricted. Easy to use too. Straight out the box, SDS chisel bit fitted and I was ready to go. Don`t know how this this would fair as a site tool and it’d be interesting to get a site operatives opinion on this. I`m guessing at this price its aimed at the consumer market but could be wrong.

Good bit of kit to add to my collection.
