This is my favourite angle grinder as the disc is a nice distance and you can clearly see what you are cutting and it’s well balanced.
However, I was surprised that it comes with a large Allen key and not a pin spanner to tighten/loosen the wheel clamp nut. The clamp nut has 4 holes in 2 pairs – 1 pair are hexagonal holes for the Allen key – to tighten it according to the manual. The other pair are plain holes – the manual says use a spanner (doesn’t say pin spanner) to loosen it, but there is no pin spanner provided. These things wear, and I can see in time the hexagons rounding out and the Allen key being useless. Fortunately I have on old Elu (forerunner to DeWalt) angle grinder which has a pin spanner so I’m OK, but beware – I’d advise go and buy a pin spanner for longevity.
Otherwise kit looks to be usual good quality stuff from DeWalt.
Fantastic bit of kit. Chased walls and cut slabs with it. Just make sure you’ve got a couple of batteries charged and ready as it does eat them.
Sa tte plate et fine est un avantage pour les endroits difficiles d’accs mais sa grande longueur totale est un inconvenient galement pour les endroits d’accs difficile.
Je regrette galement l’absence de variateur qui en ferait un quipement plus polyvalent, peut tre le modle avec variateur existe galement, je n’ai pas vrifi.
This item is great does everything I needed it for so far such a great addition to the drill and impact driver I already have.
Robust and easy to use. Used for cutting and with a wire brush for paint removal. Portability is the main advantage of course but it does use up the battery fast (4ah battery is really the minimum to give decent longevity). Low profile casing does allow good access in tighter spots.
che dire, un altro utensile all’officina tutta dewalt… ormai sono anni che compro quasi tutto dewalt e anche questa fa il suo lavoro, un po’ macchinoso il grip del coprilama ma proprio se si vuole essere pignoli.
I use these sorts of power tools almost daily,as soon as I got it it became invaluable, and was used straight away on a remote job with no power supply,( even with a low AH batt) performed well, excellent quality, performance and design, quick release button to move guard, sits very comfortably with good ergonomic design,well pleased with it, you get what you pay for !
La testa allungata lo rende molto comodo in molte applicazioni dove in genere la coppia conica non ci passa, robusto ma non tanto quanto le versioni con cavo.
Great grinder…bought with 2x 5amp batteries.ideal for all those jobs where you don’t want to get the cord out….farm…car…etc.
Best cordless tool in the box…and 5inch disc an added bonus…..would be nice if it came in a dewalt box..
This is what you can expect from Dewalt, it is a first class tool. I have found it longer and heavier than my two corded angle grinders. However the flexibility makes it a worthwhile investment. Very pleased with it and would definitely recommend it.
The flat head is meant to get into corners, but I am finding that even for regular use, the flat head lets you see better and get to where you want easier. It IS longer than a regular grinder, and this needs a bit of adjusting. Note, that this is my first battery angle grinder (I just took the battery from my drill driver), and it’s far quieter than a corded one. I am happy with this purchase.
j ai command une premire fois la meuleuse sur Amazon et j ai reu une meuleuse avec plusieurs dfauts ( carter qui glinguait, bouton de trs mauvaise qualit), j ai du demander un remplacement et j ai recu enfin un model qualitatif et parfait !
je me demande si Amazon ne vends pas des contrefaons parfais …
La radial funciona muy bien es cmoda lo nico que es un poco larga pero est genial tiene potencia y es muy cmoda a la hora de cambiar disco o el protector moderno recomendable
Je connais trs bien la marque, aprs visseuse, visseuse choc , cl choc , multi outils , scie sauteuse , scie sabre et scie circulaire j’ai acheter cette meuleuse tte fine et elle est trs bien bien quilibre et avec une batterie 5 ampres elle fonctionne trs bien mais energivore donc prvoir des batteries si gros travaux en perspective. Tester dcouper un parpaing avec disque diamant , a passe comme du beurre . Satisfait de mon nouvel achat , ma tour de bote grimp de plus en plus .

Amazing bit of kit, I work out on the road as a plant mechanic so it gets some abuse but holds up well. The slim nose on it makes a massive difference over the standard one, has got me out of no end of tricky positions and jobs. One thing to consider is a few more batteries, this got through 3 4ah batteries in an hour with constant heavy use grinding bucket teeth off which had been welded on.

Les recomiendo a los que vayan a comprar que se compre una batera de mnimo 5 amperios, lo digo por que tenia en principio dos baterias de 2a para la atorinilladora y se las come enseguida a escasos 10 minutos tanto para la radial como para el taladro hay que tener una batera aparte de 5 a. Por lo dems todo genial, estupendo va de lujo.

Next level grinder. Nothing worse that not being able to get in or see what you’re doing. This grinder let’s you do both. Yes it’s not cheap. But it makes easy work of any task. I’ve tried Hilti/makita/ blows them out of the water. It’s even better than the 54volt which is just too heavy. All grinders should be like this. Adjustable guard is spot on too. Adjusts with a push of a button. Win win.

Splendid tool, why did they not make one sooner. Supplied in a cardboard box, useless in the back of the van. I am finding it difficult to obtain a TSTAK II case with a proper hard internal liner. Foam is available but soon disintegrates with regular use.
La tte plate est vraiment un plus, en particulier pour moi qui suis plombier et qui doit scier des tuyaux dans des endroits impossibles.

Voglio ricordare che questa potenza ha bisogno di batterie robuste le 5Ah durano circa 6 minuti di lavoro. Per questo motivo ricordarsi di avere a disposizione le batterie necessarie per il lavoro da fare.

This flathead variant is a huge step in the right direction. I can easily see what I’m cutting, grinding or sanding. It’s powerful, smooth and well balanced. I have a number of batteries so runtime is not really a concern. With the battery attached it’s quite long compared to a corded unit. However, I’ve not felt the need to reach for the smaller corded version thus far but it could happen in a really tight space.
The hex key locking nut system works great compared to the traditional 2 pin spanner. You don’t need to go crazy tightening grinder discs. Never had one fly off yet!
If you are invested in the dewalt battery platform and need a grinder, look no further than the flathead. I prefer The slightly larger 5inch discs which afford a slightly deeper cut. You can throw on the 4.5inch discs too so it’s win-win.
I’m surprised other manufacturers haven’t followed dewalt’s lead and produced their own version. For that reason, this is ‘THE’ small grinder to own for the professional tradesman. Why would you buy anything else?!
Was mir weiters nicht gefllt ist die fehlende Drehzahlregulierung. Von einem Gert dieser Preisklasse kann eine Drehzahlregelung erwarten und sollte selbstredend Standard sein.
Maneggevole e potente adatto per lavoro molto angolati, non propriamente leggero ma il fatto di essere a batteria vi permette di portarlo ovunque senza intralcio di cavi. Per lavori prolungati meglio ricorrere al buon vecchio filo!!
An angle grinder is such a versatile tool. With the right discs, it can grind, sand, polish, sharpen, and possible more, as I have yet to realise its full potential. If you purchase the flat head version (DCG405FN), as I did, you’ll be able to work in restricted spaces. But, whatever model you choose, you’ll never regret buying a Dewalt. Great buy, great price.

So much better to use than a cheap grinder. Starts smoothly. Stops quickly. Balanced. Controllable. Easy to get into confined spaces. Very powerful.
Absolutely kills my 5ah batteries get about 20mins hard cutting but it was brought for awarkard jobs and it’s great.
Only thing when you turn it on, it’s on, personally I’d rather the ‘spring switch ‘ , meaning when you let go of the trigger it stops.
Allen key it comes with gets stuck now when changing blade but all in all great tool

Ich wollte unbedicngt ein Akku-Gert da man z.B. bei schnellen Ablngarbeiten nicht immer erst eine Steckdose suchen oder mit einem Verlngerungskabel rummachen will.
Mich hat das Gert sofort begeistert: Alleine die Verstell-Mechanik des Funkenschutzes ist super durchdacht – ein Druck und man kann sie verdrehen oder ganz abnehmen – toll! Man merkt die Jungs von deWalt wissen einfach (mal wieder) wie man Gerte frs Handwerk baut.
Auch die schmale Bauform des Kopfes und die Kraft des Gertes sind einfach ungeheuer praktikabel. Nur das durch den Akku recht lange Gehuse kann manchmal etwas stren. Es ist jedoch gut ausbalanciert.
Man bentigt bei kraftraubenden Flex- und Schrupp-Arbeiten jedoch immer einen zweiten geladenen Akku, da die Flex recht viel Saft zieht. Klasse ist aber, dass das Gert selbt wenn es noch eingeschaltet ist, nach Akkuwechsel nicht pltzlich wieder anluft – das htte mir sonst nmlich schon mehrfach meine Finger gekostet, da man das Ausschalten beim leeren Akku nmlich grundstzlich vergisst – also eine 1 fr Sicherheit!
Also, ein super Gert welches ich nicht mehr hergeben wrde . – Meinserseits eine klare Kaufempfehlung!
4-5 ah Akku is zu empfehlen, da das ding saugt!
