Its worth the investment, faster and more convenient than an impact driver and the fixings used are cheaper so in the long run, your saving money. 1 thing I will say is if you do get it, get it with prime delivery, I had it delivered with standard delivery and ended up getting Evri as my courier. Need I say more the parcel came precisely 1 hour before I was eligible for a refund because it was that late and it came looking like the box had been kicked about like a football and attacked by a bunch of feral cats. Thankfully the product was intact and didn’t have any faults or damages. Just shows that if It can survive an Evri delivery it can survive just about anything.
I am a DIYer and this was a treat for me as I had always wanted a cordless nailer. I have mostly Dewalt XR power tools so it was logical for me to stick with Dewalt for the Nailer rather than another brand. I understood that this was a bare unit (no case or battery) but I was really surprised when I opened the box from Amazon and the nail gun was loose in the bottom along with the instructions. It was undamaged from what I could see but expected it to have been in a Dewalt packaging. The tool is simple to use, easy to load the nails, good features and seem well built. Other reviews have commented on the durability but I haven’t used enough to comment (seems to have worked faultlessly for the first couple of jobs I have used it on. It is Dewalt so is expensive so I hope that it lives up to expectations.
The range of nail length is huge, giving a wide range of applications. It has only failed once in 4 years. That was my fault and it was easy to sort. Fab.
Sold my Paslode Impulse IM65 and bought this.
Had the Paslode for 17 years and it seems every time I want to use it , either the batteries have gone flat or more so the gas had gone out of date. Didn’t know when I pulled the trigger whether it would fire or not. Always cleaned after every use.
So far not had a problem with the Dewalt.
Fully charged original batteries and Dewalt brand nails.
For what I want, when I want to use it. the Dewalt suits me just fine.
Bought as separates to make up the kit.
Nail Gun, case and two 4ah batteries and charger.
Will work quite happily with 2ah batteries but managed to purchase the 4ah set for about 10 more than the 2ah pair.
Only a couple of downsides, one is the weight and size.
The other the smallest nails/brads it accommodates is 32mm.
But willing to accept these for the “ready now” convenience of a battery only platform.
Normally, mostly go for Makita but it’s battery second fix nailer is woeful.
Good product, easy to use.
Although I’ve returned my one as my family has ordered for Christmas a set of DCN692, DCN660, 2x5ah batteries, Box and charger.
Using DCN660 which is absolutley similar to that one can say only 1 thing. Dream maschine. No gas, no jamming, powerful nailer.
I purchased the dewalt pin gun to fix some cladding which it did an excellent job
Also handy for architraves and anything that you don’t want to mark with a hammer. Obviously it’s not a cheep tool but you get what you pay for. Plus no gas
Absolute fantastic piece of kit well worth the money quick accurate very lightweight also delivery was very quick arrived three days before it was meant to all in all fantastic company to deal with
My compressor hasn’t been turned on since I bought this (and the 18ga nailer). In retrospect, I could have gotten away with just the 18ga nailer (for what I do) but the odd job that I do with this one is just so easy. I love this machine.
Almost essential for repetitive work or nailing overhead where hammering nails is very difficult. Make fixing tongue & groove timber panelling to form a coved ceiling as fairly easy task, using smallest size of brads (32mm) … all without recharging battery that is also used for DeWalt drill. Also takes three larger nail sizes so equally suitable for more substantial projects.

I have owned the 1st fix one for 3 years and this is much easier and lighter to use but remember it doesn’t let you use first fix nails in it .. you need to buy the nails that fit .. max length 63mm no good for roof Battens you will need a first fix gun for that .

Although a lot of money for us it has been a godsend. We had a lot of cladding to fit externally. First cheaper one we purchased kept jamming so half the time was spent unjamming the thing. we took that back and went for this which although 3 x the cost of the first it made the work so much easier and faster. Worth paying the extra. We planned to sell it on once all work was finished but have decided to keep it.

Bought this gun for trade use, was in two minds whether or not to move away from gas guns. After reading and watching reviews I made the decision to buy. It is a fantastic gun, great peace of kit, will also purchase the first fix. Gun feels great and well made. Bump mode is very handy. This is the way to go, no more gas to buy and no maintenance. Highly recommend.
This is the second one of these that I have owned, I previously owned the old model which lasted a 11 years of being worked hard on construction sites on a daily basis. This is probably the best trade second fix gun on the market. As a joiner I have come to prioritize reliability over everything else. Unreliable tools cost money in terms of time lost without an essential tool and repair costs.
Great but read description! No instructions or battery included. We rang supplies directly and they sent battery quickly- but did have to buy separately.

Used half a box of 63mm nails so far on 2 months renovating a house, still on the same 5Ah battery! Depth stop setting very accurate.

Throw your hammers away ….. it’s a revolution.
It makes for a better and faster job than a hammer (no hammer marks) and the holes left are as small as possible.
Great if you need to use a lot of intermediate length nails (there’s another model for longer nails).
