Really amazing capture cards, works everything as expected and even a bit more.

Tested it while capturing the image from an PS4 and have to say that everything went well, easy to set up and really great.
Extracted images were casted on laptop and recorded.
The whole process took about 2 hours, it got quite warm but it still worked and no frames loss, no any other issues were met even if I expected that with the warming up of the card.

It’s designed and built very well – sturdy, strong and looking very nice. Minimalistic, a nice blue colour with those LED lights pulsing it really looks cool. Underneath – air vents even if there are no fans inside.

Cables and everything needed is inside.

Price is reasonable, I’d even say really worth as it keeps working, keeps doing great job and I believe it will work for another while.

I bought this capture card in order to stream games from my PS5 console to my Twitch channel, there seems to be a lot of options when it comes to capture cards, but Elgato seem to dominate.

This card works just as well at a fraction of the price, it’s fairly simple to do as its plug and play and no driver installations are required to get the thing to work.

At less than 100 this was a no-brainer, this is a brilliant 4K capture card with 4Kp60 pass-through.

Golden Review Award: 46 From Our UsersBought to help in the ability to archive some training material I have on a laptop which wont allow me to transfer any files off due to security. This led me to one option, capture the HDMI stream from the laptop prior to getting to the display.

This is basically a man in the middle attack, it thinks its talking to a screen but its actually capturing the screen before sending the data on to an actual screen.

With HDMI from a computer its really easy. just put the HDMI lead from the computer into the box then another from the box to the screen. This captures everything including audio. Its USB3 into another computer which you can then do as you wish with the copy of the stream. I opted for OBS which then was being recorded to the hard drive.

There are many uses for this as it works for any thing with a HDMI and if you use a converter, it will actually work for anything that outputs video.

This device is really easy to use and works perfectly for what I needed.

Golden Review Award: 43 From Our UsersI bought this specifically to use it with my 4k cameras.

What do you get? A well build slide box, the main device, 1 usb to usb 3.0 cable, 1 hdmi to hdmi cable and 1 usb type- c cable. Obviously you also recive the user manual and a warranty card for 3 years.

    Build in quality?
The device is made from metal, has a nice quality finish. At the back there is a plastic cover which has ventilation on both sides(while this works you cannot hear anything, it doesnt have vents inside).

    How does it work?
In my case works well, nothing to complain about. The maximum I have it on for around 4 hours straight and it was all good. MIND though, the device will warm quite a lot but this doesnt affect the functionality in any way. There is a warning sticker on the top that says this and you can remove it if prefered.
What I suggest, If you dont have to constantly use it, before putting it in the cupboard or back into the box, leave it cool down properly.

Lag? I didnt experience such a thing, this is why I consider this product a good one.

I use a different hdmi cable than the one which comes in the box and the performace is the same.

I didnt use the jack and microphone port so I cannot say anything about these.

MIND while using you have to place the HDMI cable in the right ports, IN or OUT because otherwise will not work right.

The size? It is small, I can keep it in my hand(medium size).
Weight? Considering it is made from metal, I cannot say it is heavy because of it`s size but you can feel the good build in quality.

Are there enough ports for my need?
Yes, I dont use more than the HDMI so it is all fine.

    Overall experience?
I buy things for specific jobs and this is one does what it has to, so its a good purchase.

Cons? In 3 weeks since I am using it on a daily basis I didnt experience any inconvenience so nothing to blame so far.

    ►Solid build, works for hours

Golden Review Award: 71 From Our UsersThe card looks great on the desk next to my setup. The RGB is very bright, I typically cover it when in use.On my MacBook plugging this in in for quick use is now fine but I suggest not using QuickTime – it was a bit more delayed with a large amount of latency in capture when compared to OBS.In my use, I have my ps5 connected and setup for use through this card. After setting things up through OBS things began to work smoothly.Video quality captured was as expected, though I would not describe the capture to OBS as having zero latency – there was a noticable bit of delay and very rarely what would seem like a very minimal bunch of skipped frames in the video output to the screen – I am not sure why this was the case but it is maybe something that lower capture settings would fix. I also couldn’t enable HDR when connecting the device to the PS5, So I don’t recommend this if you are looking to capture HDR content in video.

As stated in the instructions it does get a bit hot after some time but the metal case absorbs this heat and it seems not to effect its performance at all.I would recommend this as a value oriented option for 4k capture. Aside from very slight frame skipping from time to time, I was not disappointed in the direct capture performance and the very low latency compared to direct connection was impressive but not unnoticeable.Considering the build quality and the capability of this card, I would definitely recommend it if you are looking for value.

Sturdy, lightweight box. The device features HDMI in, HDMI out, USB 3.0, headphone jack and mic jack. These things are great for when you want to focus on the task at hand – recording video, without draining on CPU processing power which judges other tasks and compromises performance.

It can be used to capture gaming or you can plug into any medium such as camcorders, blurry, DVD players etc to get a digital version of whatever you’r putting into it. The device supports.Great recording performance without a hitch in OBS without freezing. I’ve also witnessed no noticeable lag.

A very competitively priced video capture box. Recommended.

Golden Review Award: 67 From Our UsersThis came up for review just as I was looking for a capture device to assist in the transfer and digitising of some old 8 and super8 movies.
This is a solidly and very pleasingly built component, housing HDMI in and out, USB3.0, USB C power input. It supports most everything up to 4K 60Hz input and can capture up to 4K at 30Hz.
Basically, plug and play, no software to worry about, except a download of free OBS Studio. Simply input the signal and record it to whatever device you want to record on.
It is supplied with some cables and a manual plus a three-year warranty — depending on registration
It oozes quality and works very well capturing everything I have thrown at it.
A short review, but nothing untoward here, it just works and works very well, can’t go less than five stars.

Golden Review Award: 65 From Our UsersThis has been the missing link for being able to stream my old consoles onto my twitch. Using it with a scart to HDMI converter I can go back over two decades of consoles and stream all my old games which I have not been able to do before.
The form factor is brilliant with a milled aluminium housing in anodised blue and RGB light display in the groove. The pack came with all the cables you need in the box (apart from the HDMI to scart converter which I only need using obsolete tech…) Interestingly the box seems to run without the USB C power cable attached as it can draw power through the USB 3 output to the computer.
It isn’t really a capture card (recording on the card) and more a splitter taking a single input from the HDMI and then outputting a HDMI (to your TV) and a USB 3 output to your PC.
It worked out of the box using Streamlabs OBS on Windows 10 without any drivers needed and worked faultlessly. Great price point, form factor and performance, with no lag and good passthrough of both audio and video. Ive done a little video of it in action so you can see the lights etc. I hope you find it helpful! Very happy to recommend this cracking little box!

Firstly, it’s obviously not a video capture “card” – it’s a video capture box (or adapter).

Regardless, it works great. I used it with OBS and I was able to capture input from two HDMI sources without any problems. It handles video and audio with no issues. I didn’t see or hear any artifacts or quality issues.

This box is easy to use and it comes at a really affordable price.

    HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! AAA+++

Golden Review Award: 40 From Our UsersThe DIGITNOW 4K Video Capture Card is a great device that’s simple and easy to use and allows you to record whatever input you put into the device. It’s a passthrough device that claims to have zero latency and admittedly I cannot notice any delay in image transmission when using it. The device looks good, takes very little time to setup and is very easy to use. There are no complex software installations or time consuming configurators to go through, just plug it in, it’s instantly recognised and use your favourite capture software to record the feed.

Couldn’t be easier to use and the price is fair and reasonable too.

Handy device, captures excellent quality video

Golden Review Award: 50 From Our UsersI’m mostly impressed with this video capture device which supports up to 4K 60Hz in and capture at up to 4K (3840×2160) 30Hz. Comes in a smart box with the deice, a 1.5M HDMI cable, a 60cm USB 3.0 cable, an 80cm USB A to USB C cable for power, a short colour manual, and a leaflet promising a 3 year warranty if you register on the DigitNow site. The case is aluminium for good heat dissipation.

On the front of the device is HDMI in, HDMI out, USB 3.0, and a USB-C power input. Take your games console (for example), plug the output into HDMI in, plug the display or TV into HDMI out, and connect the USB to a PC or Mac for video capture with software like OBS. This worked fine with a PS4 though I had to select a lower input resolution than the default as it initially came up with “No support” in OBS. The capture was excellent though, and latency between the capture and the display was low though still discernible. Unlike some competing devices this one really is USB 3.0.

I didn’t use the USB-C power input since it gets power from USB 3.0 but I presume this might be needed in cases where there is insufficient power. The manual makes no mention of it other than that it exists. Audio quality in the capture was good and in stereo.

On this device you also get the benefit of a headphone socket and a microphone input. These are not really essential since you could use your PC or Mac for this, but could be convenient.

There are lighting effects when the device is powered on which I personally found a distraction and annoyingly there is no way I can see to disable this.

Happy overall though and better than most of the low-end video capture cards I have tried.

Those of you who are interested in streaming their gameplays or any other computer applications to platforms like YouTube Gaming, Twitch, Facebook Gaming, might also want to capture their camera footage or console gameplay. For that, you will require specific hardware which happens to be the best video capture cards

If you are looking for a video capture made for use with consoles that offers great image quality for your streams and recordings, then DIGITNOW and its offerings can be a great option. This is primarily because you get dual HDMI ports with this capture card along with a headphone jack and a mic input for additional functionality.

Golden Review Award: 72 From Our UsersI love DIGITNOW products and when I saw they had a 4K capture card I had to give it a try.
They’ve really upped their game on the unboxing experience. The box and the product feel premium quality.
The card itself is solidly built and the picture quality is soooo good. I can’t wait to get streaming properly again.

The only thing I do find odd is that there is a USB-C port for power but not for data transmission. I guess that is to keep the cost down here.

Oh it does come with a redeemable 3 year warranty which shows the company believes in the quality of their products.

All in All very impressed as always and would definitely recommend if you are looking to step up to 4K broadcasting.

Impressed with it so far. It is solid but feels very lightweight. It provides a HDMI input from your input device, such as games console and a USB output (for computer/laptop) and HDMI output for monitor/tv/projector. Ports for microphone and headphone are also provided. No need for it to be additionally powered externally as the power from PC/laptop via the USB port is enough for it.

I use it to capture gameplay footage from my PS5. So far I have been very impressed. It outputs in 4k and I haven’t had any lag or freezes of the sort so far. It is easy to use. Boot everything up and the sofware detects the capture card and away you go. For the price, I am very impressed with it.

    Looks great and works well

As a self taught streamer and “video maker” as a hobby, I needed a capture card to record in 4K (my old capture card is only 1080P). I came across this one and thought it is worth a punt at this price. Wow, I am actually surprised at the quality of this device. The capture quality is amazing, there is no lag on the HDMI pass through, and it works flawlessly!! I use it with OBS and to capture gameplay from my console, and it just does what it says on the box! I absolutely LOVE the build quality (seriously its like a metal brick), and the metallic red colour just makes it look that much more cool. You even get all the cables you need – included in the box! It is such good value!!

No complaints at all so far!

    The PERFECT Capture Card! Wow!!

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersLove this small video capture card which in size less than 12cm .
It’s comparable with many live steaming applications such as livesteam, Youtube etc.
It has HDMI input / output and USB port. Also can be added external microphone to add better sound quality.
Comparable with 4K input upto 60Hz speed.
Overall great device which is compact and does the job perfectly.
Have a look to my pictures to see real size, hope it will be helpful to decide if it’s suitable for personal needs or not.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersStreaming and vlogging are huge right now, especially with 2020 bringing lots more people being housebound and looking for a hobby (Or another source of income) and as a long time gamer I wanted to see if I could start to capture my victories (and humiliations). I use a console, specifically a Xbox series X. After doing some research the easiest way capture video quickly is to get one of these capture cards.

The set up is super simple, the capture card has 3 connections. A HDMI in you input the output from your console (the connection that usually goes to your tv), a HDMI out which you connect to your tv and a USB out, which you connect to your computer. In my case I use a laptop which has a reasonable I5 processor in it. But by having a capture card you don’t need the power of the laptop to do anything other than record, so you’ll probably get away with less.

Now in terms of next steps I looked online and a lot of people suggested OBS Studio as software, so I downloaded it and it installed without issue and it really is easy to set up. Straight away it detected my capture card when I added a new device and within minutes it was showing an input to capture. You can then add additional inputs (Like camera to video yourself and Microphone so you can capture your voice). Once all set up you are basically done for video capturing.

I’ve had this set up for about 2 weeks now and it’s been flawless, working every time with clear recording. I only bother to use 1080p capturing because I don’t want to take up too much storage on my laptop and it’s amazingly clear and smooth.. To start I turn on my console, turn on my laptop and boot up OBS and this card works first every time.

The only downside I’ve found is that the card does not allow HDR passthrough to my TV. It does allow 4k at 60hz which is what I play my Series x on, ( I don’t have a 120hz tv). To get round this I actually already had a 4k UHD HDR splitter so I use the output from this to go to the capture card and other other side in 4k HDR to my tv and it all works great. To get a HDR output one I think you’ll pay more than double this price and everything is super clear and easy to use, so for the price I paid and how it works I think it’s probably the best card I could have got. Very happy.

Simple, easy to use Capture card with great results.

THe DIGITNOW 4K HD Video Capture device is a great unit for recording high quality footage, you can use it for capturing gaming sessions for YouTube or connect other devices such as DVD players or camcorders to it to record the footage into a convenient digital format in no time. The best bit is it has no lag which is essential for gaming.

The device supports up to 4k although I only have 1080P feed, but it’s a good device, works well and doesn’t cost a fortune.

Unit slime and compact, well designed.
To use it no need to pay monthly subscription on pay additional for software, it all ready , just plug and play all in one . Works fine with Windows and Mac platforms .
