Its very easy to use, the wire that comes with it works well just be prepared for splatter, i am a complete novice so for me it was perfect I did the job I have a new tool to learn a skill with for a good price. The mask is flimsy and but worked, I will be getting a propper helmet tho.
I’ve had three previous MIG welders from Amazon… They all failed! Two different makes. Luckily they didn’t last 30 days, so I got my money back. The original welders were all inverter welders and much more expensive than this welder. This welder is a good old fashion Mig welder with no electronics. I wanted something that would work when I needed it. It’s the cheapest welder on Amazon UK (at time of writing). It took a bit of practice to get a weld I was happy with but it was worth the practice. I bought it to weld a Stainless steel project I’m doing. It works just fine. Not sure how it would be on car bodywork, as I haven’t tried it.
……with myself! Always fancied trying welding but finally decided to buy a welder as my home office chair broke. Buying a welder to fix it seemed cheaper than buying an expensive new chair. It takes practice, so don’t expect to be an immediate expert. But an amateur like me fixed the chair, then fixed an old, broken, cast iron bench, and now I just keep looking for things to fix/make. No experience of other units, but this us solidly made, easy to use, and works fantastically. I said i was angry but only because I wish I’d bought one sooner now. One tip. Buy a mask. I bought welding goggles to start with, but 2 sessions in a row ended up with a sunburnt face.
Used to build a steel door frame – no welding expert, but have some experience of arc welding. Found this much easier. There are 4 power / speed settings – after trial and error ended up just using the lowest which worked fine for pretty much everything I’ve tried. Great little hobby welder to sit in the workshop

Been repairing caty bottom section to exhaust, low settings, fast wire done a cracking job on thin rotting cast part. Would highly recommend.
As previous comment suggested get flux core wire.

Awesome welder, working great for me on my Vespa restoration. Ideal for welding outside because of the flux core wire, a gas welder wouldn’t be much use in breezy conditions. NOTE: Don’t use the supplied wire, grab some decent SIP fluxcore wire instead. Also, grab some anti spatter spray as gasless can spatter some, leaving little bobbles of moulted metal. Overall, really happy with this welder, more than up for anything I would need a welder for.
Been quite a few years since I’ve done any welding, bought this for a small project works fine did exactly what I needed it for, saying that I would advise using a scrap piece of metal to set up wire feed speed and settings and have a few practice runs to help getting feel of welder before starting on your actual project. Otherwise great little welder face shield a lot to be desired I’d buy head helmet as if like me I needed both hands when using the welde

The welder is a decent little bit of kit, didn’t take too much practice to start laying some decent welds. Was working with some pretty thin steel too (1mm), payed for itself on its first job.
I did ask before buying, if this welder was set up electrode positive (DCEP) or negative (DCEN), and was told I could change polarity by swapping the wires inside the cover. That was incorrect, this model is gassless only and does not have the connectors inside to swap. So given that fact and that the welds turn out pretty good for flux core, I assume it is set up DCEN as this is the setup recommend for gassless.
This welder gets a thumbs up from me.

Great and easy to use product, just wish it was easier to reverse the polarity
Surprised as it is of good quality and not expensive

This welder was great value for money including postage. Came so quick even with the weight of it, my husband was delighted with it.

Makes light welding easier than stick and will get the job done.
