Great value for money, it was in the top 4 when researched on search engine. The only negative was it was a little heavy

I liked the look and specification along with the trade rating encouraged me to buy this item. Then finding it at 92.0 with a 3 year warranty it was a no brainer to purchase. The item comes with 2 chisels at 300mm long so i purchased a 600m long one (Deep Concrete) from another supplier as my use is to replace about 12 fence post over the next few years. On arrival I was immediately impressed with the case and the quality feel of the item in general. Even a small amount of grease is included. My unit came ready assembled just grease the chisel end and insert into the chuck. I ran the item gently to start with for it to warm up and distribute grease around the mechanics. Started with the pointed chisel and within 10 minutes one side of the post was nearly completed. This is where the 600mm chisel came in. My post have deep concrete so needed the 600mm chisel which with large SDS collet system made light work of the rest of the concrete. I then repeated this on the other side with no issues. One word of warning don’t go to deep each time as the chisel will jam in the concrete and its difficult to then get the chisel back out.

In conclusion I used this item with care and did not force or abuse it and it did the job with ease. One point of note little or no vibration was transmitted to my body, Nor did the handle come undone or anything else come lose. Reliability of course is to be determined but if Draper are confident enough to call it a trade item and then fit the large SDS Max collet system and then give it a 3 year warranty. (Limited Warranty) then I have no concerns.

Cannot fault this item we are builders so have put it through its paces and it just keeps on going. Only one thing would be if it came as a 110 volt for site work but not a deal breaker….pardon the pun!

Very well made and sturdy. Made short shrift demolishing a wall. Even used it to clean up some of the bricks to reuse

Bit on the heavy side for high level work, but gets the job done.

Easy to use straight from the box. Fairly lightweight and comfortable to use of an extended period of time. Very, very impressive bit of kit.

Super machine, highly recommended. Only minor point is that the cable could do with being longer !

Bought to break out concrete round fence posts – was easier to use in an awkward space than a full size breaker. Can get a little hot if you work it hard but did the job well. I bought an extra long SDS max chisel as well to make it easier to get down the bottom of the post holes. These is some lithium grease supplied which you are supposed to top up every time you use it which only lasts a few days so bought a tube of it with a nozzle to make it less messy to apply.

Excellent Kango, a lot better than I expected, made easy work of breaking out a concrete path and you can’t go wrong with the price…Great value

Eventually settled on this in preference to larger breakers from less familiar manufacturers and very pleased. Seems solidly built, lightweight and nimble, and was able to deal with an awful 70s concrete path the sledgehammer would barely leave an imprint on with minimal fuss. Only real downside is generally having to operate hunched over it, but a small price to pay for the convenience. Great quality breaker and the included case isn’t at all bad either.

This Breaker is “The Boss” it gets the job done!!
I needed some fence post concrete to be removed/broken up and it did the job, saving me a lot of time. I recommend this to everyone who needs the job done

It’s certainly a great piece of kit and excelled my expectations. I bought it to primarily cut through an 18″ solid concrete wall and it did the job just perfectly. It does get rather hot after a period of continuous use but of no detriment to the performance.
The 2 chisels which came with it are not the longest so I purchased 2 600mm SDS Max chisels to do the job for me.
I did find it a little heavy but I was working at a high level which made it more difficult for the job I was doing.
All in all an excellent tool, well made and robust and a nice case to put it in.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersBought this item a couple of months back and started to use it yesterday.
First a funny notice coming from it and after inspecting it found out that a couple of bolts were loose….
After tightening them up started using the drill again and the handle kept getting loose and I tighten it up a couple of times. The third time the handle just fell off. Inspection time againnnnnnnn. Apparently there are two bolts holding the plastic handle.
Will contact Amazon wich in the past have been more than fair to me ( I have been with them since the beginning) and I hopethey can sort something out. If I were You I would not buy this item. Sorry Draper.

    Rubbish....

I wanted more power than my 18v dewalt 263 which I think is rated at 3 joules and handy for knocking off tiles and making holes in brickwork for mains backboxes. This is 25 joules and makes light work of knocking out lintels, fireplaces etc. Get a 600mm bit to make life easier when standing using it. My Polish builders new favourite tool!

Small but mighty, used this kit to break up limestone rock, used in conjunction with a spade chisel attachment and it cut the the rocks like a hot knife through butter, definitely recommend
Excellent Value for money compared to higher branded breakers with less KJ power,
    You will not be disappointed

Decided to buy this rather than rent, as this was cheaper than a one week rental. Demolishing a mixed stone and concrete wall. Very quick, powerful and effective for what I needed.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI’ma complete novice and this breaker fitted my budget and project well. It’s really easy to use and maintain. Make sure you grease everything stated in the manual and absolutely vital is the PPE. I’m merrily breaking up concrete bases in the garden up to 6 inches thick without a problem. It’s neither light nor too heavy. Build quality is excellent and I’m getting more and more Draper gear as I can’t fault it.

After spending 2hours breaking up the concrete around a broken fence post with a cold chisel and club hammer I decided to get this and I am so glad I did it went through the other 4 posts in an hour a doddle to use and great value.

I bought this after reading other reviews and I’m very impressed with it glad I’ve bought it over other far more expensive like machines I had researched.
I’ve used it now to break up 6 inch thick concrete laid under patio slabs, I had attempted to break up the concrete with a sledge hammer which just bounced off, on using the Draper Breaker it easily did the job and is very easy to use, you do need to push down on it but not with any great force more to guide the hammer bit where you want the concrete to break. The vibrations are minimal through the machine in your hands, its a solid built machine and relatively light and I’d say easy to use by most people.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThis beast demolished a 20 cm thick concrete shed base approximately 10 sq metres in less than 10 minutes, i could demolish my house if i wanted to , i don’t think there is anything that would resist it.. It is easy to use and cuts through cement as if made of butter.. I have never used anything likr it before and i used it for DIY, so not a pro.. Can’t find any faults to the equipment..

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersWasn’t sure if I could handle this tool,as never having previously used one didn’t know what I was letting myself in for.Im no youngster and don’t have the same arm strength as I used to,but after reading a previous review, which said it’s not to heavy and manageable I bought one.Glad I did,it’s very managable not to heavy and in my opinion a good sturdy reliable piece of kit.I used this fitted with a 75mm wide spade chisel as the last resort to dig out massive clumps of bamboo that had run riot over the years. It was very successful .Great addition to my ever growing tool collection.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersFantastic piece of kit. Managed to break up a concrete base which turned out to be multiple concrete bases in the end! Found 10-15 minutes of chiselling generated about an hour of broken concrete to clean up, it’s that effective. I didn’t think it felt too heavy when holding the power tool with both hands, but I wouldn’t say it’s light either. I bought some anti-vibration gloves which helped protect my joints from excessive vibration. It does heat up during use so I’ve always left it to cool down after before putting it away. You do need to use the grease to keep it working well. Don’t wash the chisel ends with water – they will rust even if you dry them – instead use a little of the grease on some kitchen towel to rub it which will clean off most debris. The chisel can get stuck in the concrete if you push it in too far so I tend to chip around whatever it is I’m breaking up where possible.

I bought this item as it seemed good for the reviews i read, and i wasnt disappointed.
I used it to break out concrete around fence posts and it did a really good job.
since then ive used it for breaking out brickwork aswell and it goes through it very easily.
I paid 99 for this item, and with the chisel accessories, and the small tub of grease you get i think its an excellent buy.
Not only that, it comes with a 3 year warranty which is an added bonus if you can be bothered to apply for it.

Hi. First off I did not buy this from Amazon but only because of the estimated delivery time. First impression of the breaker was good. I haven’t had it long but have already removed 16sq mtr of render back to the block ready for recoating. The render was in good nick and truely stuck to the block so the breaker had to work to get through it, which it did with comparative ease.
It’s a manageable 7kg and the adjustable front grip is excellent, although I prefer to hold the body of the breaker as I find that offers more control (it does get hot mind).
It comes in a very useable case with grease (read your instructions) and two bits. Both good quality but I bought a broader chisel to complete the render job.
Only 4 stars because ALL the bolts on the tool came loose after a few hours. This was not a problem and they were all tightened and have since stayed put. I removed a star because, if like me, you are impressed with the tool and get carried away with doing the job in hand you might not notice the bolts coming undone. Not a good place to be.
I have also broken up 2 manholes and a flimsy concrete path. I work in maintenance and have used many tools of this type. This one seems good value and genuinely powfull. Hope this helps. Update 17/8…As already mentioned in the original review, the bolts came loose during first use. I tightened them and all was good but they have since loosened again. I have now used thread lock and they have remained right through demolishing two set of concrete steps. Still 4* cos the machine does it’s job well.

This is the ideal breaker for the DIYer or the professional, the performance is second to none, the only thing need extra chisels as standby, with some heavy work tend to blunt quickly, but cant fault the quality or the service with this product.

SDS drills are big boy toys and I have an unbranded one that has done a job over the years, whether it be breaking or drill fence panels in. But this Draper SDS is a monster and very powerful. I have a couple of years of big DIY ahead of me and from the start, this has been liking having another pair of hands. If you are in the market and toying with unbranded or lower quality then up your game, get things done quicker by buying this. You will not regret it.

Golden Review Award: 14 From Our UsersI’m presently using it to remove concrete round three fence posts I am replacing. Very pleased with the quality and it certainly does the job. I read in one review that it was heavy, I’m over 70 and did not find it heavy to use. I’m very pleased with it, in the past I have hired this type of tool which I have found heavy. From my experience of hiring them I would say that this item is a match for those I’ve hired, which I imagine were a lot more expensive to buy. It comes in a strong case making storage easy and with good instructions. It was delivered two days before I expected and was well packaged. In my opinion it is good value for money and has a three year warranty. Although I’ve only used it once I would recommend it.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis might look like a huge drill but it’s actually a brilliant piece of kit for breaking up concrete and walls. My son had a breeze block shed to demolish, along with the concrete pad it sat on, and this was the perfect tool for the job. Normally he pays someone to do this kind of work, but this time he did it himself – and he was very pleased with the result. The breaker was very easy for him to use and he loved the power it gave him to knock down the building and break up the pad all by himself. It was a real feeling of physical achievement. So much so that he now helps friends do the same sort of thing. It is the ultimate in boys’ toys.

My husband has an unbranded 15 year old breaker that’s done a good job but is now on it’s last legs.
He says this Draper is a proper powerhouse and he’s used it to break concrete and floor tiles effortlessly. He says it’s far superior to his old one and he recommends it highly. It’s comfortable to hold and use.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersWhen,I saw this advertised on Amazon Vine,I did initially think it was a drill- I now know better.
This is a heavy duty mains operated tool that is used for breaking up,chasing Solid surfaces, materials like concrete, bricks, breeze blocks etc.
This is a very heavy and powerful tool that comes supplied with the 2 SDS Max chisel bits. One of the bits is pointed and the other is spade shape. The max breaker comes in its own carry case and is a 230 volts tool.
The breaker is a good at what it does, but would have been nice if this was more multifunction.
However, this is a useful tool to have in my armoury, should I need it.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThis is a very powerful but single use only machine. It does what it does very well. It is firm and comfortable and a joy to use in all breaking uses. It would have been even better if it had a rotational function as well – but then perhaps it wouldn’t do what it does so well. Strong, powerful, and comfortable to use
