Sneak a peek function what a brilliantly simple idea, being able to grab a quick peek at the browning process without disturbing the timing session, no more accidentally burnt offerings SUPERB.

This may seem expensive compared to other toasters, but it is solidly built & has a side panel which can be removed to change the elements. Previous toasters have to be disposed of if elements burn out, so I feel it is worth the extra money if it last the distance.

Well built, great quality components. Toast bread evenly, great bagel setting. Looks great depite not being their flagship models. Made in the UK with solid materials. Spares also available, unlike many toasters you buy on the high street.

I mean we’re not talking about a Hi-Tec gadget, it’s just a toaster and as such it does a good job toasting so far. Evenly golden bread and pretty quick if you don’t like hanging around waiting for your toast to pop.

I am pleased with this toaster, it seems well made and toasts bread much quicker than our previous branded one.
The bread rack lifts up higher to enable to take the toast out easier.
It also toastes evenly on each side.
The crumb tray comes out easily to clean it too.

Superb toaster with great adjustment for perfectly toasted bread. Bread always evenly toasted all over and comes up perfectly toasted. Very quick too. Quality product to last a lifetime.

Ever wanted to own the big dualit, but thought I can’t afford one? There’s a answer, the dualit lite. This one I bought to replace my large one which I had for over 20 years. I purchased this because I no longer have a large family, this does the job, from bagels to defrosting the slice bread. So if you want a brill toaster for university you can not go wrong with this.

Always wanted to get one of these , but they are costly compared to other toasters, but you really get what you pay for ! A well made item that does its job effortlessly.
Would definitely recommend and I was very lucky to find one on Amazon Warehouse with a great discount for a damaged box !
    Don’t need the box

This is a great little toaster. It is well made, compact and has a quality feel to it.
No frills or gadgets to go wrong, and I’m lead to believe the spares are readily available and it is easy to fix.
It has enough power to toast quickly.
The 1% that stops it being perfect is the slot it’s about 3mm too short for usual loaf, so I have to trim that before it fits.
    Otherwise it is perfect.

Got this toaster to replace a very similar Dualit toaster which had given up after about 10 years. Generally satisfactory and according to Dualit they have modified the electronic controls although still a slight tendency to toast one side more than the other.

We were dubious about buying this because of the price. We needn’t have been. Makes good toast and keeps crisper than most. Love the feature that allows you to check the colour of the toast. Got this for our caravan and now considering the 4 slice version for home.

Great little toaster. Looks smart and compact.
Toasted bread on no. 3 and tried currant tea cakes on the bagel setting on no.2. Great that you can just toast one side and that you can raise the lever to check the colour between cycle. Just what I was looking for and the cream option is a lovely colour.

This a Which Best Buy, it is relatively expensive but has worked really well. It has a begel button so one side of the bagel or tea cake is toasted. Easy to adjust and you can lift the toast etc whilst it’s cooking to see how it’s getting on. Really pleased

Evenly done toast and plenty of width to fit crumpets and such, the high rise also making it easy to remove those. Push button to stop, can raise handle at any time to check or remove. I’d buy it again. Not cheap but good to use if you have the money.

This was a replacement for a similar model which failed after 12 years of daily use. Settings generally reliable. Occasionally one side is less toasted than the other but that could be due to the bread. A subseqent load tends to brown more than the first.

Good toaster. Does the job well and can toast bagels and bread from our bread maker.

I love this toaster. I bake my own bread and slice it thick, this is the first toaster I have had that can toast my bread just the way I like it. The bagel feature is great for toasting burger buns. Peek feature let’s you check the progress without stopping the toaste

I love it, looks really stylish toasts well and fits a slice standard slice of bread longways, so no need to turn it halfway! Also got the additional toastie cages, toasties are now so quick and easy to make. Love that I can check how toasting is going without stopping the toaster which is a plus.

Very expensive but worth it. We’ve had cheap toasters before but this thing looks like it will outlast 20 cheap toasters and there’s a 5 year guarantee.
Only disappointment was that I’d read that you would find the name of the person who made it on the item and we couldn’t find that anywhere, so we gave the toaster our own made up name.

Odd. This is a well reviews toaster but…
It toasts ins side more than the other and, although it takes thick slices well, it doesn’t take the tall slices from my bread maker bread. Nice looking and well made tho.

Like the lift to look at feature and also the speed of toasting. Takes all breads we use but does not do each side the same especially when only one slice used.

This toaster doesn’t have the sturdy heft of its big Dualit brothers but it is half the price. It toasts really well and I love that it lets you toast small pieces. the optional toastie rack also works well. I withheld 1 star because I don’t trust the build quality yet. But after 1 month of use I’m happy.

The first toaster had a cracked case despite undamaged packaging so had to return it. The process was very easy and the replacement arrived within a few days. The controls are very straightforward. Being able to check the toast without interrupting the toasting is a very handy feature. The quality of the toast is excellent and although the price is more than I’ve ever previously considered paying for a toaster, it’s definitely worth it.

Great roster so far. There’s no settng up – just plug in and go. Produced really nice twist and automatically compensates for changes in bread and ambient temperature so you get fairly consistent browning without having to adjust the setting.

The real test though will be in 6 to 12 months time when most low end toasters are already failing. We’ll see how this one goes.

This is our second one, after the first died with an electrical fault, but that was very well used and it was given to someone who thought that they can repair it.

This one seems to be better than the first one, it does the toast brilliantly, not had a single burnt slice, bagel or teacake yet.

Expensive yes, but it looks good and works well.

Loving this toaster. It’s not too big for my compact kitchen yet looks nice. Seems v sturdy in comparison to previous toaster. Very simple to use.

Like that you can pop up toast to check without interfering with the program you’ve set it to.

Also like that it’s wide so you can make toasted sandwiches using one of the toastie bags.

Have used a few toasters over the years and this is by far and away the best one. Previously, until it burnt out one side kept knocking out the electricity trip switch, I had the Dualit 4 slice but it was never satisfactory as it always seemed to burn the edges. Went for this 2 slice and it’s almost perfect. One slot does toast slightly more quickly than the other and the inner side is slightly browner than the outer but I think this is the same with most toasters. Small niggles though, so still think it is excellent.

In a moment of madness I finally treated myself to the toaster that matches the Dualit kettle that has served me well for 15 years. I am happy to find that it is as solidly and simply built as that old reliable 15 year old kettle and just does what it is supposed to do, makes nice evenly browned toast. A worthwhile investment, I just wish I hadn’t waited so long to get it.

I am very happy so far with my toaster. Simple to use, quick and reliable. I like being able to check the toast mid-cooking to see if all is right. Not much else to say other than make sure you follow the instructions and you should be happy

I bought this after reading a Which? report on toasters to replace our old one which just created cremated toast on what ever setting I used.
This is a well designed classic looking toaster that has a couple of neat features, namely being able to take a peek at the toast without interrupting the toasting cycle, ideal for different bread types.
Not yet used the bagel or from frozen options.

I’ve bought this toaster a few months ago and have used it a lot. It produces great toast for many different types of bread including white bread, home made bread, wholemeal bread, thick slices, thin slices etc. I’m not sure how east it’s going to be to clean – I haven’t tried yet apart from removing and replacing the tray that collects the crumbs during toasting – but I expect it’ll be easy. I can thoroughly recommend this product.

Well built. Looks good. All the dials and buttons are good quality. Excellent handbook. Toast is really consistent; brown all over. Tried the bagel setting (toasts one side) and it works well. Also got the toasted sandwich inserts which worked surprisingly well too. Had a need to contact the manufacturer because they wouldn’t register the product unless I gave them a mobile number (something I didn’t want to do). Rather bizarre. However they replied almost immediately and confirmed they had taken my mobile number off my registration details.
Can understand why this is a Which? best buy.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI did a lot of research before buying this toaster, and as I do with any purchase, I scrutinised the worst reviews carefully. I decided that on balance the good reviews looked more reasonable than the worst. I’ve now been using the toaster for around a month and can report that my decision was correct. The toaster is easy to use, it does the toast quickly enough for me, it browns it evenly and like many reviewers, I agree that to be able to check progress while toasting is a great feature. A big thumbs up from me!

After a couple of cheap toasters that just didn’t toast bread properly, I decided to go for this one by Dualit …mainly as it came top on Which best buy. It does actually toast the whole slice of bread pretty evenly, and is fairly quick. It also takes a tall slice of bread & it’s well made. So yes it was worth the money, I’m pleased I went for it.

Robust, takes 4 lots of toast – so my husband and I can make our own toast at the same time. Toasts evenly, can put thicker items in eg teacakes etc. Easy to clean (crumb tray pulls out from bottom). We get through toasters quite quickly, partly because we cut our own bread etc, and thicker slices can come in contact with elements. Haven’t had this problem with this toaster as toasting slots are a generous size, so hopefully it will last.

Quite apart from the fact that it’s just a beautiful, stylish piece of equipment that matches my kettle and makes
my kitchen look even better….this is the first toaster I’ve had that produces consistently cooked toast! It’s also
much easier than any other I’ve used to release those awkward broken bits of toast that get stuck inside! A star!

Great little toaster. Produces even and consistent results. Best of all, it can take oversized bread from my bread maker.

Looks good and the crumb tray is easy remove and replace.

Maybe a bit expensive for a toaster.

  43. Anonymous says:

It toasts really quickly (which was my main purchasing criteria), the same time as to boil the kettle so breakfast is all ready at the same time. However, I sense that means the surface of the bread cooks quickly such that when you spread cold butter it pulls away from the uncooked inside, rendering the surface all messed up.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersPurchased to replace an over 10 year old one which is only being replaced because of revamp in kitchen and change of colour scheme. Still couldn’t part with it. Will be quite happy if this one performs as good. Have given 4 stars as it is only days old so not properly tested but on past experience, this toaster can be recommended.

    Dualit is a reliable product.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersPerfectly brown slices in quick time. Defrost mode defrosts and toasts in maybe a minute or so longer than fresh bread and still tastes good.
Easy to clean and looks good.
Fits in most sliced supermarket bread – yet to find one that doesn’t fit, this was my main aim as my old toaster struggled with large bread.
The bagel mode is pretty cool.
