Very well made and designed, just disappointing that it’s “made in china” like so many of our old brand names.
You can put large things in it such as half hot cross buns, and they don’t burn, It has a great handle to insert & extract the bread piece in/out

Toasts perfectly, lots of settings for different types of bread, fits Baigel perfectly with a bagel setting that toasts one side only. Very quick. So much better than the KitchenAid toaster it replaced

For years I’ve put up with unevenly toasted bread and printed labelling that rubs off in no time. Make no mistake, this is a precision instrument! I use my toaster almost every day and I looked upon this as investment in my piece of mind. I often eat bagels & crumpets and I can easily set this toaster to cook them perfectly too. I am 72, on a tight retirement budget and agonized whether I should spend the money but am home several days a week & absolutely delighted with my purchase. Strongly recommend.
Great for elderly
Most toasters slider that pushes the toast can be difficult for those with limited grip and strength. Having a long bar to push down on provides leveraged without the effort.

Can toast a crumpet..
So, we needed a new toaster. I bought a Bosch, it wouldn’t ‘ping’ up when toasting a crumpet, so I sent it back (the rails kept misaligning). Dualit are the leading name in toasters, but they are pricey, still we gave it a go and got this one. It works well, it toasts evenly, and toasts crumpets easily. It’s a lot to pay, but they are British made and work well, so worth the money.
Superb, functional and beautiful
This is by far the best toaster I have ever owned. The mechanism is smooth, the toasting is even, the crumb tray is effective and easy to clean. Most satisfying to use! Plus, it is so elegant and stylish, it gives me a warm glow every time I see it, just have to take a glance at it sitting there in the kitchen as I pass by!
This is a dual slot toaster, each slot is 35 mm wide and slightly more that 130 mm long, so will accommodate a wide variety of bread sizes. Toasting is started by pulling down the lever on the front of the toaster, the lever can be raised to check browning or released early by pressing the centre of the timing dial. My only critic of the toaster is that the timing is not specific check points but each time is in a range, so 2 is a wide band from 1 to 3, wifey and I thus can only say roughly where the dial is set, this is confusing, “Where have you set it dear” (we are polite at breakfast) “Oh, near the three”. “I’m not sure what you mean, have you set it at two or three?”. And so it continues da de dah.
But is looks good and does a goodly nice toasting.

Excellent build quality. Does an great job of toasting any kind of bread. This toaster is certainly more expensive but is worth every penny.

Build quality very good. tends to toast dark so go easy on the controls. No re-heat or toast from frozen facility. Instructions (also on top surface) state that toaster must be used in attended mode and unplugged when not in use. Overall toaster is a very nice aesthetically pleasing and well engineered addition – matches the Dualit kettle purchased previously.
Looks good but expensive
I’m not sure it’s worth the money if I’m honest but it does look good! The toast isn’t much better than my old cheap toaster, but it is definitely faster and I do like the bagel option, it’s great for tea cakes and hot cross buns.

This looks great in our kitchen with it’s slightly retro look. However, there is nothing retro about it’s ability to produce perfect toast every time. The toasting “one side only” feature is great for muffins, bagels and pikelets. It is fast and easy to control using the single, large, well marked temperature control. Great purchase and after our first month we are very happy.

Having toaster debates with the Mrs is NOT FUN!! Especially when she wants to spend an insane amount on a Smeg! I got this because it sat somewhere in the middle, still pricey for a bread browner, but offered nice features like optional sandwich toaster racks, a bagel function and a lift to see progress, which is actually very neat indeed. There’s nothing worse than peering into your toaster and thinking, is it burning? It’s certainly a very solid thing, seems to do a consistent job and yea, looks quite nice too on our worktop. So overall top marks!

Most attractive 2 slot toaste
I am very happy with this toaster. It looks attractive, isn’t too big for my small kitchen and does the job well.
I needed to replace my old Dualit 2 slot and I tried to find a less expensive one that looked as good – but I gave up as I simply couldn’t find anything that fitted the bill! AND – the toast pops up – which was something lacking in the old toaster.

Well-made product however we are not getting on with it. Never seem to be able to get the colour of the toast right. It over cooks or undercooks all the time.

Worth the money a lovely quality toaster and and well built. not hugely fast but very precise on settings. Hope it will last the extra years to justify the additional cost against standard toasters!

Substantial product, I needed a couple of attempts to obtain the right colour for my bread but no worries, after all it is only a toaster.

Works as good as it looks.
If only the matching kettle was as well designed as this toaster. It looks fab and makes great toast (and toasted sandwiches using the matching holders). Easy lift handle to see how the toast is browning without cancelling out the programme. Browns toast evenly.

I like this toaster’ appearance, I like the way you can lift the basket to look at the toast but I’m not convinced that it’s any better than my ancient toaster that this on replaced. My husband complains about it only toasting on side of the bread!
