I always preferred the black controller since PS2 days and when I needed an extra dual sense, this was my first choice. I have never had any issues with stick drift, just take care of the controller.
Nice colourway
Bought this to complement the white controller I already had and it’s the perfect contrast. It’s an all black controller, so what you see is what you get but that doesn’t stop it from being great to look at and the build quality from Sony is always great.

East to install and works as it should, these have a history of stick drift so how long this will last I don’t know but it’s a nice wee controller.
One of the best controllers of all time
Fantastic build quality, feels great in the hand and is a pleasure to use. I’ve always felt PlayStation were behind Xbox when it comes to their controllers but that changed with this generation. The matte black finish looks wonderful too.
I purchased this as a second controller for my PS5, to use while one charges to save me having to use a controller with a cable attached.
I already knew what to expect as I have been using the original controller for some time – and this met all those expectations. It worked properly, was a well packaged, brand new controller in perfect condition.
Out of habit, I use rubber thumbstick grips on my controllers (going back to a flaw when DualShock 4 controls initially launched) although I don’t think this is required, as I haven’t encountered or heard of any issues with the thumbsticks on the DualSense controllers.
It would have been nice if the controller included a USB C charging cable for the purposes of initially connecting it to the console, or for those who will be using the cable to charge, although I have a 2 controller charging dock so this isn’t much of an inconvenience for myself.
The DualSense itself is a comfortable controller that feels weighty and solid, with a high quality build. It’s got a lot of cool features, such as tensioning the R2 trigger on applicable games (I encountered this when firing a bow on Assassin’s Creed Valhalla) but this can be customised or disabled if it’s not for you. The controller holds the charge well, and operates effectively, as expected.

I have grown up on PlayStation and PC but solely switch to PC a few years back.
I still like to play some games with a controller and the dualsense works perfectly on my PC (As long as you don’t mind some Xbox prompts in some games)
Only PlayStation titles natively support haptics but they do work when they advertise them. The controller feels great in the hands and is the best controller Sony has released
I have had an issue when I dropped my controller, the Start button did get stuck under the plastic which I did have to open the controller to pop it back into place. However that is the only “Hardware” issue i’ve had.
I did wish Sony would support a way for Audio to work via bluetooth on the controller, you will have be cabled in for this but all other features seem to work fine via bluetooth.
The Bes
Perhaps the best controller I’ve ever experienced. It feels absolutely great in your hands, and with the subtle innovations via haptic feedback and the adaptive it makes it the worth the purchase.
I exclusively use it on PC. It works natively with certain games – allowing you use the aforementioned features. However you’re also able to emulate other controllers via Steam or other apps easily.

I picked up another controller as it is always best to have at least 2. I love the standard white one that comes with the Ps5 but in Black it looks class and i use the black as my primary controller now.
Sleek and comfortable
Bought as an upgrade to my now failing ps4 DualShock controller, using for pc. Feels great, like the original but better and not too different as to be unfamiliar. The buttons feel really tactile and high quality and there’s software on Pc where you can change the led lights to suit whatever you want. Glad I went with the black as it’s very nice, it’s a deep matte black

OK so for the sale price of around 45 during Summer Sale its a fantastic price for the dualsense controller RRP 70!!!
When it arrived I checked the serial number and it ends in CT1A. So its using the newer tougher analogue sticks and more durable adaptive trigger components.
For those wondering all the newer cosmic colours Blue, Pink, Purple are all 100% CT1A.
Its just white, black and red that are a gamble. But I will say the white one I got included with my PS5 was CT1A as was the black one bought in June 2022 off amazon so I guess the better newer stock is more available now.

I received Dualsense black and it was version 2. I didn’t think changes they have made will have such a big impact on a controller.

Needed a new controller and decided to go with black and “mod” it a bit to give the classic vibe. The box doesn’t come with any charging cable which I think it’s kinda a ripoff since the only way to get it it’s with the console and they can break easily. I know you can buy third party ones but for the price they are asking for it should come with a charging cable as well. It cost nothing to make.

Love the black colour of the dualsense. i was worried i’d get the ‘old’ model number one, but this one has the ‘new’ model number. This has slightly better springs and less stick drift than the original model.

I have owned this now for a few months and the controls and joysticks have not gone stiff or stopped working.
The actual controller looks lovely in black. The vibrations adds a touch more to the games as they seem to be more in sync with the in game play. The microphone/speaker built in is so useful. The sound coming out of the controller is amazing to me.
These controllers do really add more to the game. The vibrations, sounds from the speaker everything sync in brilliantly with the games. F1 has been the best experience so far.
Honestly my hands do not get tired from playing. They are solid. I have dropped this on the floor a few times and had no issues with the controller.
I have used this controller for SpiderMan, Fifa, Gran Turismo, F1, NBA, drive, UFC and not had any problems.

The controller was brand new in a sealed box, I only had a slight issue with the joystick drifting but, I was offered a new one and they replaced it the next day for me. That one works perfectly! Amazing service.

One problem I ran into was that when I tried to connect the new controller to the PlayStation with a USB-C cable for the first time it wouldn’t recognise the controller, this was because the wire wasn’t genuine and was from a non genuine PS controller charging stand. So heads up! Use a genuine PS5 USB-C to connect.

The most impressive thing about the new PlayStation controller is just how lag-free it is for a wireless controller. It’s weighty, but not heavy in the hand and feels a lot more precise than previous Dualsense controllers. Astro’s playroom really shows off what a game changer the haptic feedback is, but since there’s not a lot of games that fully take advantage of this feature it might be better turning it off to save battery.

Perfekter Nachfolger mit kleinen Kritikpunkte
Der PS5 Controller ist ein gelungenes Upgrade Gegenber dem PS4 Controller. Komfortmig Liegt der PS5 Controller zumindest mir viel besser in der Hand, sogar auf jedenfall besser als die Controller der Konkurrenz.
Auch wenn die alte Form Kult ist, vermisse ich die hier nicht.
Hier hlt man auch mehr Next Gen in den Hnden wegen den neuartigen Trigger. Auch wenn ich diese bisher nur bei Astro’s Playroom ausgiebig antesten konnte, war ich einfach berwltigt. Das Feature ist genial und gibt einen mehr das Gefhl im Spielgeschehen zu sein. Bei Shooter muss das dann einfach Knigsklasse sein, der Grund warum man da dann mit dem Controller spielen mchte anstatt mit der Maus.
Ansonsten bin ich auch mit alle anderen Funktionen besonders den Lautsprecher zufrieden, die Lautsprecher klingen zwar blechernd aber genau das finde ich gut, weil bei den Spielen z.b die Diktiergerte in The Last of us ber den Controller Lautsprecher laufen, das macht das ganze realistischer.
Trotz allem ist es auch immerhin nur ein Controller, fr das Geld bekommt man mehr als genug, also da kann sich die Konkurrenz n gutes Stck abschneiden auch anhand der Qualitt.
Der Controller fhlt sich hochwertiger an. Einzig das Mikrofon ist Standard mig immer angeschaltet, weiss nicht ob man das Software mig von Beginn an deaktivieren kann. Finde ich aber jetzt nicht unglaublich schlimm, schalte ich im Moment per Knopfdruck immer manuell aus.
Dann wre da noch der Akku, Sony htte da ruhig etwas strkeres einbauen knnen, der Controller hlt bei mir ca. 5-8h intensives spielen aus, dann muss er solangsam ans Ladegert. Fr Leute die viel spielen wrde ich daher zu einem zweiten Controller raten, damit man immer einen auf Reserve hat, falls dem ersten pltzlich die Puste ausgeht, ausser man akzeptiert das Spielen mit Kabel.
Wre hier aber der nchste Kritik Punkt, es ist kein Kabel dabei, htte m.m.n ruhig dabei sein knnen, aber wenn man eine PS5 Konsole hat, hat man auch ein Kabel und das reicht dann in dem Fall normalerweise.
Wenn man den Controller fr den PC verwenden mchte, sollte man sicher gehen das man ein USB C Kabel hat oder eins nachkauft. Am komfortabelsten (Fr Faule) wre eine Ladestation, habe ich selbst auch.
Also man bekommt fr den Preis ordentlich was geboten, zwar gibt es hier und da Kritikpunkte die ich genannt habe, aber die fallen berhaupt nicht schwer ins Gewicht, das ist schon meckern auf hohen Niveau, man kann eben nicht alles haben.
Daher vergebe ich volle 5 Sterne.

Neue Gaminggeneratio
Endlich auch in Schwarz erhltlich. Habe ich meinem Partner zu Weihnachten geschenkt und eigentlich auch eher mir.
Hatte bei der PS4 immer Probleme mit den Handgelenken nach wenigen Minuten, weshalb ich schlussendlich zu XBOX gewechselt bin.
Die steht neuerdings nur noch rum, weil das Spielerlebnis durch die neuen Controller einfach hher ist. DualSense und endlich einen Triggerpunkt, wodurch Shooter-Spiele einfach noch mal besser werden. Empfehlung. Ganz klar, und endlich auch in schnem Schwarz.

Superschnelle Lieferung. Einzig das der Bote offensichtlich einfach den Abholzettel eingeworfen hat statt zu klingeln war echt nervig. Das Produkt selbst ist absolut klasse! Der schwarze Controller sieht sowieso deutlich besser aus als der hliche weie der ursprnglich bei der Konsole beilag, aber das er auch noch sprbar besser auf die Eingaben reagiert hat mich echt berrascht. Kann aber auch daran liegen das mein anderer Controller einen Macken hat das die rechte Schultertaste manchmal klemmt.

Controller works smoothly and is far more responsive than the original PlayStation 5 Controller.
The colour is beautiful and it weighs a great weight, which makes it easy to hold and play games with.

Der Dualsense fhlt sich einfach 10 Nummern hochwertiger an, als der alte PS4-Controller. Er ist etwas grer und hat alles was man sich so wnscht. Besonders genial ist, dass das Ambiente-Licht (was sich bei diversen Games entsprechend farblich verndert, um entsprechende Fertigkeiten ingame o.. anzeigt) nun nicht mehr nur hinten ist, sondern auf der Vorderseite des Controllers seitlich neben dem Touchpad, wo man es nun auch besser bemerkt. Auerdem hat er ein hheres Gewicht, was direkt einen deutlich hochwertigeren Eindruck verschafft.
Die neuen Farben, die ab Anfang 2022 verkauft werden sollen, ist auf jeden Fall nichts fr mich, da viel zu grell. Da gefllt der klassisch-schwarze Controller als 2.-Controller eindeutig besser, aber das muss jeder selbst entscheiden. Auerdem war der Preis deutlich reduziert.

The controller lasts for 6 or 7 hours, the buttons are very responsive, it’s got a bit more weight to it than the ps4 controller, the material used feels better, doesn’t feel cheap. And the black with the blue light is dope.

Im Gegensatz zum Vorgnger der PS4 ist er etwas schwerer aber liegt dadurch auch besser in der Hand. Die Struktur an der Unterseite verhindert das wegrutschen auch bei heieren Gefechten Beim PS4-Modell musste ich Kappen auf die Sticks machen da meine Daumen mach kurzer Zeit regelrecht Taub wurden, bei diesem Modell nicht! Klar hlt der Akku durch die neuen Features nicht so lange aber mit dem richtigen Spiel lohnt es sich!
Ottimo controller, migliora sotto molti aspetti il precedente Controller wireless DUALSHOCK4 inclusa l’ergonomia e la qualit tattile dei materiali.
Le funzionalit “haptic feedback” molto promettente e spero venga supportata nei futuri titoli first party, ho avuto modo di provarla sulla tech demo Astro’s Playroom e si dimostrata una feature sorprendentemente immersiva e ben implementata al livello di gameplay, ho avuto modo di usarla anche su Assassin’s Creed Valhalla dove presente anche se in maniera molto pi limitata.
Le caratteristiche pi innovative del controller ne rappresentano anche il contraltare dato che consumano considerevolmente pi in fretta la batteria riducendo il tempo di utilizzo rispetto al modello precedente.
In alternativa per Sony permette un buon livello di personalizzazione del controller al livello di impostazioni, garantendo al giocatore di estendere ulteriormente la durata della batteria sacrificando alcune funzionalit secondarie.
Nell’insieme un enorme passo in avanti in termini di usabilit ed esperienza di gioco con le inevitabili pecche e compromessi date dal doveroso bilancio di costo e qualit dell’hardware.
Il controller pu essere soggetto, come quasi tutti i moderni controller, al fenomeno del “drifting” che mi ha costretto a sostituire il controller originale arrivato con la mia PS5.
Per quanto non mi dispiaccia il bianco, il controller versione “Midnight Black” ha il suo innegabile fascino che richiama fortemente l’era PS2/PS3.

It is now a matt (slightly textured) black console with an old school PS1 badge on it. The black controller looks better sitting on the console than the white one that came with it, my kitten walked on the white controller and left faint paw prints on it. Even though I keep my controllers clean, it's good to only have to clean them once a week instead of every day.

You’ll need to complete lift your finger of off them so you dont accidentally touch and press them because they are very sensitive, when playing fifa if you accidentally press l2 trigger you player wont sprint or will do unnecessary flair shot or pass, it would have been much better it the triggers were the same as l1 r1 buttons, hatic feedback is just a waste of time, and microphone included on the controller is useless for anything besides writings messages, when you are in a chat call you cant use it because it picks up literally every press of a button you make, if you are streaming also forget i
PS5 Controller funktioniert auch am PC über Steam.
Funktioniert auch am PC ber Bluetooth. Aber nur unter Verwendung von Steam. Wenn man selbst keine PS5 hat dann kann man leider keine Controller Updates machen, sowie die adaptiven Trigger Funktion ist ebenfalls deaktiviert. Vibrationen gibt es aber. Mann kann auch nicht nachschauen wie viel Akku noch vorhanden ist. Mein Nintento Switch Pro Controller hat eine lngere Akkulaufzeit aber am PC sind die Tasten verkehrt herum was auf Dauer extrem nervt und ich mir deshalb den PS5 Controller gekauft habe. Zum gck gibt es den in Schwarz denn wei passt meiner Meinung nach nicht zur Playstation.
