Duronic Triple Gas-Powered Monitor Desk Mount DM653 [SILVER/BLACK]

The DM653 is a heavy-duty double desk mount that holds three computer screens. This model is part of our DM65 range which is made with aluminium and steel, and is covered with a silver and black finish. One of our most premium ranges, these desk mounts offer an impressive range of manoeuvrability compared to the rest.

The DM65 range feature gas-powered arms that can move vertically on-the-fly; simply hold the screen gently and glide it to the position you need it in, then release. It’s that simple! This model has two arms with three joints that can swivel 180°, and a third smaller arm in the centre which holds the third screen close to the pole.

This screen arm is fully height adjustable, has swivel and tilt ability and can rotate the screen from horizontal to vertical.

It comes with a standard-sized Duronic clamp that will fit desks between 5mm – 68mm depth, and the arm can convert to be installed onto a desk via a hole using a grommet (available separately). As well as allowing you to achieve an ergonomic set up for your workspace, this monitor stand will elevate the screens off of the desk surface, which will free up space that you can utilise for other equipment and accessories.

.

Easy Installation

Setting this screen mount up on your desk couldn’t be simpler to do. The clamp slides onto the back of the desk and is tightened with the bolt until it stands securely. Then the arm can be adjusted by using the locking collar on the pole to secure it in the optimal position. Fixing a screen onto the stand is a simple procedure because the heads all accept the VESA 75/100 standard which make them suitable for all PC monitors and the majority of TV screens too. Installation is quick and the only tools you will need is a Phillips screwdriver and an Allen key (provided).

WHY USE A DESK MOUNT?

Ergonomic care has become more of a focus over recent years due to the fast-evolving workforce; with more and more technology being introduced in the workplace, physical activity has declined and it is affecting more people’s health than ever before. A side-effect from this is that employers witness more illness-related absences that could have been avoided if their employees were more active and had a better ergonomic set-up in their working environment. Studies have shown that sitting at a desk with poor posture for long periods of time can affect your health, especially if you already have a pre-existing medical condition.

A major contributor to poor posture is the position of the computer screen. This is because the computer screen is what determines our overall posture; it’s the place our eyes rest upon and where we naturally turn our body towards in an attempt to sit comfortably. If the screen is badly positioned for the user (i.e. too high or low) then they end up craning their head and/or neck to view the screen better, which in turn affects their spine and shoulders. Over time sitting like this can cause pain, discomfort and long-term health problems. It can also put unnecessary strain on the eyes, which can ultimately have a knock-on effect on your well-being, energy and productivity. Ensuring your monitor/s are at the right level can help to reduce orthopaedic/back pain that can occur from poorly positioned monitor screens, as well as ensuring you can work as productively as possible.

Duronic desk mounts are the perfect solution to improve these problems and to create a more organised feel to your set up. In addition to this, elevating your screen off of the desk up onto a stand frees up valuable desktop space. No matter what screen/s you have, what kind of desk you have, we will have a desk mount to suit. Once you have your screen/s elevated to the optimal level you are sure to see and feel a vast improvement. Best of all, our mounts are second to none in quality; made of strong durable materials and designed to meet the user’s needs perfectly, you will not be disappointed. In fact, you’ll wonder why you didn’t have one sooner!

Initially I was a bit skeptical if this product was for me before buying as my center monitor was peferectly in the corner before but decided to try it anyway.

My skepticism was for 3 reasons . 1) I have a corner desk . 2) desk is against the wall and the corner part is solid in that area so can’t put the clamp there 3) my monitors are 24 inch.

The dm653 comes with 3 gas spring arms and was pleasantly surprised to find an optional bracket to mount the centre monitor directly to the pole . In the end I opted to use the direct mount that was included in the box otherwise given the depth of my desk it would be too close to my face and the other two wouldn’t line up how I need them to but I may use the the third arm in the future if I get a bigger desk. – was worth the extra 20 pounds comapred to the dm5xx with only two gas arms to have the option to play with.

Becuase the monitors are 24 inch I needed to bend the arms back to shorten the length in order to have the screens sit flush side by side which was a bit of a concern at first becuase my desk is against the wall and I didn’t like the idea of moving my desk forward to allow for the bend back. Luckily I have a windowsill behind my desk so after a bit of jigging I was able to use the clearance of the windowsill to make it fit. It did take a bit of jigging and head scratching to get my monitors in a comfortable position because I couldn’t mount in or near the corner but with the range given from the arms I am now really happy with my set up .

In typical male fashion I didn’t use the instructions to assemble except for adjusting the gas spring part. I found it quite self explanatory so that was Good.

It was clear to me that this would work best with 27 inch monitors if I didn’t have the clearance of the windowsill becuase of the full length of the arms . Meaning I wouldn’t have had to bend them back in order to have them sit nicely flush together and iwouldnt have to move my desk forward if the clearance wasn’t there behind my desk .

Would reccomed having a sturdy solid wood desk due to the stress of the weight this must put on the desk .

All in all it took a bit of time and fine tuning to meet my requirements but really pleased with the end result and flexibility I now have . Gas spring arms stay where I set them after fine tuning the tension and arms have stayed in the same position since I set it all up 3 days ago . ( haven’t come back to find the gas arms have moved the monitors upwards or downwardsand no floppyness.

My only dislike is that if I move one arm I have to hold the other to prevent it from moving with it. I have tightened the centre bit that goes on the pole but it still moves slightly if I don’t hold one arm when adjusting the others position . Reccomend getting everything in position before tightening each of the arm parts.

One final thing to add , the direct pole mount has a bit of a length protruding from it rather than just a flat mount directly against the pole ( around 2-3cm at a guess ) so I could twist this around and make the centre monitor more central to the corner of the desk with the extra few centimetre extension off the pole . All in all good product just have a think about preferred positioning before buying but I’m sure you can make it fit to you requirements one way or another. It has certainly created more space for me to work at my desk.

    Hope this helps , cheers.

Works well for my 3x 24 inch monitors and corner desk

Overall, I’m very happy with my purchase. My workspace has been transformed. I have room for my piano keyboards and Ableton Push 2 now. It’s really nice to have everything hooked up. I had 2 monitors before, and it’s really nice having the 3rd one properly mounted.
I connected a Asus VG279 27″, Asus VS278 27″, and a Dell older, heavier monitor. No issues with the stand carrying the capacity. The Asus monitors are within Duronic’s weight rating. The Dell monitor might be over.
Unless your desk is really deep or you want to mount something other than a monitor, then, you’re probably not going to use the middle arm.
    Complaints:
Arrived 4 days late from the UK to the US. Duronic responded to let me know it was running behind, but it took several days to get a response. The arms arrived dirty (see pictures), and there was some very minor metal burring at the small allen key area where the base mounts to the desk. However, in the end, I’m very happy, and I decided to give 4 stars.

Used to hold 3×24 inch monitors.

Only bad point is the tilt of the monitor function – you need to occasionally tighten the hex screw as it will flop forward slightly if you tilt the screen towards you. Not all the time, need to adjust every 1-2 weeks.

I really like this mount, its very strong and is exactly what I wanted. Having the ability to extend the center monitor was a game changer.

One issue- the plastic decorative caps seem like crap. Would have been much nicer had they been aluminum or steel. Probably much stronger as well.

Missing parts- I was missing three screws which are used to secure the arms and center pole in a fixed position, rather than being able to free turn. I spoke with amazon and they were unable to just ask the seller to ship these fixation screws, or whatever you call them. Rather annoyed by this. Ended up having to make a trip to the local hardware store where I found some of the missing screws, had to cut them to size but in the end they worked.

The Instructions contains references to Installing Product A, or Product B, but I didn’t see anything references to A or B when I ordered ??

I had an issue with the under-desk clamp which didn’t quite fit my (wooden) desk, which has a 2″ x 3/4″ edging strip on all sides, so I had to chisel-out a notch in the back of edging strip so that the clamp’s screw-up-plate could actually screw-up against the underside of my desk, but once that was done, the clamp & pole is quite secure on the desk

I have 3x 27″ monitors, and I have them in Portrait, so I didn’t need some of the extension arms
I guess if I wanted them in Landscape, I would need to fit all the arms

I started by clamping the center monitor’s bracket directly onto the pole without using an arm
I then added the outside monitors, using only one arm/bracket each

Adjusting the arms is a 2-person job, as I had to push/hold the outside monitors at the same level as the center monitor while I adjusted the tensioning nuts with an Allen-key

There’s nothing to tell you when the tension is correct – you let go the monitors and they either pop-up, or droop-down
Lots of trial & error, as the tension adjustment is simply labeled as + or –

Although there is some cable-management, my chunky DisplayPort cables didn’t fit, and I had to use Velcro cable ties to attach the cables to the arms & the pole, but none of that is visible (from the front)

Overall, though, I wish I’d done it earlier – it’s saved desk space due to not having the monitor stands anymore, also as I have it mounted on a corner of my desk, the 2 outside monitors are outside the desk and outside of where they could be if I had still used the monitor stands

    Excellent, but Confusing instructions:

Also im Grunde sehr zufrieden.

The table surface saved (monitors fly “in the air”) is priceless!
The product itself is good. Sturdy, big enough. However, be advised that the final stiffness depends on the weakest link, and that can be your table.
Hanging 3x 27-inch screens on a single point on my table bends it quite a bit. If I touch the screen, the table vibrates threateningly. So, be prepared that you need to start with a really thick table.
If I knew that, I would go for two or 3 single-arms instead.
Still, the table surface saved (monitors fly “in the air”) is priceless well worth a try.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI wanted 3 arms as I like having my monitors somewhat close to my face. I originally purchased a $99 triple monitor mount and the spring loaded arms couldn’t hold up my light monitors (not to mention it said up to 27″ but later in the description ….which I didn’t read, said 27″ measured vertically, hah)

So I unpacked this and set it up. Easy to install pole, easy to install arms. Got all the monitors on and mounted. Adjusting the gas powered arms was just… a thing of beauty. It’s exactly as I had hoped and expected it to be.

When I was finished I had a few extra parts. It appeared I could remove the center arm and replace it with a fixed monitor plate (like the majority that you find out there) its funny because I thought to myself — if the center arm dropped too much/or was too close to my face – then I’d be very much unsatisfied, not only did the gas arm have no problem holding it up at the angle I needed – there was a plan b already thought of by the manufacturer

Cable management was great. The plastic clips for the bottom were ok, but not fantastic (I care more about functionality)

I use this for working at home – and have gained a ton of room on my desk. I added a laptop, USB dock, kvm switch, and speakers – and I still have room to spare.

This mount is easily worth $350 or more. If your thinking about purchasing one – and have a deep desk where you want the monitors closer to you – this is a gold winner

(I never post reviews but I’m hoping this helps someone else, as I wasted $99 on the wrong one originally)

    Exceeded expectations

Absolutely brilliant, can configure any which way you want, spring/gas arms are awesome (my last one was not spring/gas and were a pain to adjust up and down) holds my 3 monitors fine, easy to adjust heights etc, Just a heads up though, make sure what you are mouting it to is very strong and sturdy, with my desk and all the forward weight, tiltlted down slightly so I had to put some props under it to make sure that it diod not tilt and sat firmly on the desk overall. Not a fault of the product and they do say on the website the mount you use preferably should be solid.
    Hope this helps…

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersDie Auflageflche auf dem Tisch ist fr 3 27″ Bildschirme etwas zu klein, dadurch bildet sich mittlerweile eine Beule in meinem (zugegebenermaen billigem Presspappe-) Tisch, der dem Gewicht der 3 Bildschirme standhalten muss. Ein breiterer Standfu wre hier also angebrachter gewesen.

Golden Review Award: 27 From Our UsersDuronic are simply amazing! Their support and help went way beyond what I would expect.

I bought this 3 arm stand in Feb 15 for use of 2 monitors and using the 3rd arm as a keyboard stand. I had a back condition which meant that sitting down was painful post operation and I also liked the idea of a sit stand desk — but they were simply impractical and expensive. So I decided that if I bought this with the gas lift arms, I could easily change from when position to the next — sitting to standing in a matter of about 15 seconds! It worked like a dream for just under 2 years then I recently changed my system and instead of having the usual PC tower and dual monitor setup, I ended up with an all in one PC from Lenovo and a 2nd monitor connected by HDMI. This was when I started to have problems

The main monitor (now the all in one PC) started to nod downwards, looking like a depressed donkey towards the desk. It wasn’t the gas arm which was dropping, it was the VESA mount on the back which has movement of about 130 degrees of tilt, up and down (rough guess here!). No matter how much I tighten the bolts, it kept doing it. So I called Duronic support and got right through a very helpful guy called Sam. It took me a while to explain what the problem was and once I had managed to put the issue into a way that made sense (these stands move in SO many different ways that I struggled to describe the problem over the phone!), but once we were on the “same page” and I explained that no matter how much I tightened the bolt it wouldn’t go tight enough, he diagnosed that I had tightened it SO much (I had used a power screw drill/driver!) that I had misshapen the socket — so, he simply popped me a whole new VESA mount in the post which arrived next day — this was done FREE OF CHARGE despite the fact it was my fault.

So I fitted that and no joy — nodding monitor again. So back on the phone to Sam and I ran though the weights and which point he said that the stand weight limit per arm was 8kg — my new all in one PC is 11.8kg! So, this is why it was now nodding down — the old monitor was about 4KG, but I had simply attached a device which the stand wasn’t built for.

I explained my setup and he promised to go away and have a think and see what he could do. 3 days later, a new part turned up in the post (again I was NOT charged for this!) AND IT WORKED! It’s apparently a mount from a cheaper stand, but as it doesn’t have the tilt and pan features of the original, it didn’t nod down!

Now I am a fussy customer at the best of times, but I cannot fault Duronic and Sam in anyway — he was absolutely incredible and helped a customer through a problem I had caused myself.

So to put it simply, you cannot go wrong buying a Duronic product — they REALLY CARE about their customers and I have already recommended them to a friend who has just bought exactly the same 3 arm gas lift stand as me. As I work in the IT industry, I don’t even think he knows the goodwill and trust he has built and I will recommend them to everyone I know!

Thanks Duronic and especially Sam — you are legends!

Negatives gibts so direkt nichts.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersRezension fuer Duronic DM653 Halterung

This is a great product, and holds the 3 24″ monitors I have very well.

I have to reiterate what other people have said about the up/down tilt adjustment bolt on each arm. The heavier the monitor, the tighter you have to make the bolt. To support my 24″ monitors the bolt is very very tight. If I tilt the monitors more than a few times it starts to sag, and I have to re-tighten the bold again.

Another caveat is when you adjust or move one of the monitors, due to the weight on all the arms, the whole supported weight can move about. This makes it difficult to set-up the monitors in perfect alignment. The supporting bars also sag slightly when there is weight on them. They are in no way in danger of breaking, it just takes away from the overall look of the product.

And finally, one suggestion I would have for Duronic. The bolts used for the caps that are used to cover the arm joints could be better designed to fully tighten each joint. This would prevent the sag in the arm joins I was talking about earlier.

Overall I am very happy with this product and would buy again due to its multiple configurations ability an sturdiness.

This thing is great. I’ve got the 3 arm one, and I’ve mounted it on top of my desk with 3 24″ monitors.

It was easy to adjust and I got my monitors to the correct height and orientation easily. The product itself is obviously very well made.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersThis has freed up an enormous amount of space on my desk. It was fairly straightforward to assemble (although it’s a bit like a Krypton Factor puzzle when putting it all together, and it took me a couple of tries to figure it out).

I was worried that having 3 different monitors on the one stand would cause some wobble or tilt, but I needn’t have — they’re just as stable and straight as when they were on 3 separate stands, and moving them around (once tightened with the supplied allen key) is easy.

I’m very pleased with the result, and would definitely recommend.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI got the DM653 model for three 23″ monitors.

I’m very impressed with its quality, it’s as good as they say it is. It’s heavy and feels strong so I don’t worry about it breaking or falling.

I was a little worried, initially, about if it would be possible to achieve the position I wanted but it’s absolutely brilliant. I’ve got all 3 monitors in a row, higher than my chair, titled downwards so I can lay back and look at the screens without hurting my neck. The monitors stay in place and don’t “fall” so far (admittedly, I only have it a week). The left and right monitors are a bit rotated too, to achieve a “seamless” experience.

The setup troubled me a bit, even though the instructions were exact and clear. The problem was that it took me a while to figure out the “gas powered” arm and how to make it stay where I wanted it to. It has a screw on the lower end that you have to turn to adjust it depending on how much weight it has to hold. My LCD monitors are very light so I had to turn it 4-5 full circles before it would stay where I wanted. Before that, it would lift the monitor up.

I’m 100% satisfied so far (one week of use).

    Great produc

This product is amazing, I was so happy when I assembled it on my desk, it’s exactly what I expected and it looks brilliant, very high quality and very strong steel arms!

    Seems right for the price. I’m using 3 x 22″ Iiyama XU2290HS-B1.
When you open the box and realise it’s self-assembly, it does initially look quite daunting but it’s actually not – assembly took about 15 minutes, excluding the time it took to remove the stands that came with the monitors.

It comes with the mounting screws, and the necessary allen keys to adjust the tension. Mine are all adjusted now, and I love it. I’m an FSX/Cubase 8/Visual Studio user, so 3 really is the magic number when it comes to screens. The product is easy to adjust, feels very sturdy and the joints are smooth. The desk clamp is solid and won’t mark, and the screens do not wobble around when I type.
