This cutter has amazed me, just as powerful as my mains corded one but so light and maneuverable. Made short work of our hedge and no electrical cord to worry about, possibly why it is so quick as I am swinging it about like a light sabre. Already have the batteries so a bargain at 54 quid.

The best part about this hedge trimmer is that it is light to use. I used it for an hour on a Leylandii hedge and it was fine. It takes some effort to get through side branches when they are about 12 mm, but it does the job.

Already have the leaf blower complete with Power X battery & charger so only needed the hedge cutter. Good quality finish, robust but lightweight construction. The diamond cutting blades sliced through my conifer hedges, leaving a very good finish on the foliage. I have two 3.0 ah batteries & chargers. They each lasted 40-60mins so able to sort both sides of my 80 metre hedge in one go.

Another great product from the einhell PXC range and a great addition to my ever growing collection, I was able to trim back a headge 8′ high by 4′ wide by 24′ long top to bottom and both sides with only one of my 3amp batteries with power to spare, it gave me a constant cut but started to fell heavy by the end but that’s just my lack of mussel power not the tool, I would happy recommend this product.

Very impressed by unit, well made and light weight with good battery life. Cuts well and not noisy.

Only 4 stars because the plastic looks fairly fragile. However you get what you pay for and I cannot complain much . Front edge was done in minutes and not having to bother with extensions cord is priceless. Would only recommend for small garden.

Excellent hedge trimmer, made short work of an 80ft fir hedge. Does not come with a battery as it is part of the Solo Power X-Change range, I opted for a 3.0 ah battery which enabled me to complete the job without having to recharge. A good feature is that you can turn the trigger handle 90 degrees handy when you are cutting vertically.

Good quality very easy to use . Long battery life and easy charging.

ice bit of kit, does the job, on our conifer hedge, would be nice if there was some oil to clean the blades included. and a hook to hang it would make it easier to store.

I already have an item in this range so have two batteries that I can use. So easy to use good reach on it along and across hedges. I found it a bit heavy but not too bad

Bought this to trim several bushes and a conifer trees. Does it all with such ease. Very happy with the product. Item was delivered damaged though but customer support was outstanding and issue was resolved extremely swiftly

This is a brilliant hedge trimmer. Possibly the best one we have had.

My petrol hedge cutter was heavy and difficult to start so I ended up buying this cordless one by Einhell. I already had the batteries and charger so it wasn’t too expensive. I wasn’t expecting too much but was very pleasantly surprised. So far it has gone through chunky brambles and a mixed hedge of hawthorn and creeper very easily. I got around 25 mins of cutting from a 1.5 Ah battery, which makes it very light to use especially above shoulder height. It seems to cope with cutting anything that will fit within the teeth as long as you don’t force it and give it time to make the cuts. Anything bigger and you can simply make a quick initial pass with a chainsaw. Much of our grounds is way beyond the reach of an extension lead or even 2, so I can happily recommend this cordless alternative as long as, like any power tool, you don’t abuse it.

Delighted with this product, so light and easy to use and I love the fact it has no wires to get tangled up with or trip over! It is extremely quiet and the battery life is excellent too, I trimmed my large hedge without having to recharge the batteries and there is still charge left in them. It has a long cutting blade in comparison to my old hedge trimmer so it is making the job even quicker. I have other battery operated Einhell products and would highly recommend them.

Very pleased with this product, it is lightweight, easy to handle and slices through all kinds of hedging with no problem at all. I have previously purchased the Einhell drill and reciprocating saw (fabulous for rapid cutting through thick wood) which I have been using to build raised beds on my allotment plot, so I already had the 3.0ah battery and the battery charger, so didn’t need to pay extra for these. Note: if you don’t have these products already you are looking at another 70-80ish, but in my opinion well worth it, particularly if you are going to buy other equipment in future, and I have been very impressed with Einhell products so far. This product was therefore the obvious choice when I needed a replacement hedge cutter, as already having the other accessories I thought it was really good value. The cutting blade is superb, I oiled it with some 3in1 on arrival then set about 2hrs of hedge cutting, it went through a mixed ‘bush’ type hedge (not really a hedge, just ridiculous scrub), then a beech hedge, then a massive holly hedge with ease. I used to use a Flymo extendable cutter, which was not only hard work and too heavy to handle but the cutting blade was useless so I used to end up re-doing it by hand with manual hedge trimmers to get a decent finish, not so with the Einhell which leaves a very smooth surface.
My only gripe for this is not about the product, but about the Hermes courier who delivered it. Delivery day came and went, they said they had been, but no card was left and I was in all day, so I knew they hadn’t attempted, then the next day they turned up with it and stood in my front garden for a bit looking confused, it was purely by chance that I happened to be passing the front door at the time and so went out to see who it was. The cutter was in a very large amazon box, but the ‘prime’ seal had already been cut open with a Stanley knife, then someone had messily wrapped some brown parcel tape around it again to keep the box together. Okay I thought, lets see what is in the box – I opened it to find the hedge cutter also in its original box, but this too had been cut open at the top and left with the flap lying open. Nothing was missing, but it looked to me very much like someone in the Hermes warehouse had been looking for portable items to steal – maybe they thought there would be an expensive battery in here easy to take out or other item to steal. Seriously not impressed with Hermes and Amazon should re-consider their use as a delivery agent if they are going around opening peoples parcels to check what is inside.
