Haven’t actually tried it yet but I am sure it will work fine.
Good router and good value for money…the case is not good though: the tools are too small for some of their clips so fall out easily, and you really have to cram everything in.
Tool itself, I cannot fault.
Never used a router before but after being given some offcuts of oak worktop I thought I could make use of I decided to buy this. It is very easy to use, and after a couple of practices on old timber decided to make a small table as seen in photo
2 cutting blades missing and a guide rod missing. No good.
*Re-review* item replaced swiftly and all parts there and intact. Good job
Very good router never used one before. The instructions weren’t very clear but managed to work it out. Once up and running it did the job that I wanted to do. Very ergonomic and once set up it is very accurate.
Great price, for a person like me who likes pottering about great value for money.
The router comes with many cutting bits and extras, and does a good job of cutting. I’ve tried a few of the bits and they seem to work. They router comes with many other attachments, including guides for following a guide and circle cutting. However one bit I used wore our quite fast with less than an hour continuous use. It may be possible to get higher quality bits.
What let it down for me is the quality of the depth gauge. The calibration sticker fell off instantly, and later the whole thing fell apart. It’s hard to be accurate, for instance to plunge an extra 1mm is not easily possible with this gauge. Also when plunging, even using the depth gauge, it tends to plunge to different depths because of lack of accuracy in the devise. Which has been a difficult challenge resulting in low quality cuts.
I only needed something to cut a small groove in the skirting board and this did the job well. I found I had to go over it a few times, cutting deeper each time. If I tried to cut in one go it didnt have the power and would stall. But it got there in the end!
Not sure if the bits are to good or it maybe me.
