I (mindlessly, I admit) bought the Ring doorbell. After 30 days, basically nothing at all works except live video. Even if someone had been to your door and left 10 seconds ago, you can’t view it unless you have a subscription. It’s basically useless, since motion detection never alerted me fast enough to see any event happening. So I returned it and bought the Eufy instead. It only cost a bit more because I’d bought the Ring on sale. But even so, I’ll have made my money back in under a year saving on the subs. And it works perfectly. It’s not perfect on speed of notification on detecting motion either, but still a bit faster than the Ring was. And it costs nothing more than you pay for it (there is an option to subscribe if you need offsite video storage, but honestly my house isn’t full of valuable so I really don’t need it – bearing in mind I had nothing at all before). It’s head and shoulders above Ring doorbells in terms of value for money and I am very pleased with it.
Video quality is great, app is easy to use, zero lag on the chime and no monthly subscription warrants the 4 star rating. However my doorbell faces the street and battery life is currently 25 days with Balanced Surveillance mode and second from low sensitivity.
2 way intercom is too slow and a bit useless which seems to be the same for other video doorbells.
I have a number of Eufy products and they are all reliable and top quality. This video doorbell works a treat and has many configurable parameters such as zones, AI human detection only and sensitivity. Works great in day or night mode and having local storage accessible by WIFI is fantastic.
I recently upgraded my home security with the Eufy Security Video Doorbell S210 2K, and I am impressed with its performance and user-friendly features.
Setting up the doorbell was an absolute breeze. The easy-to-follow instructions made the process smooth, and I had it up and running in no time. The wireless design adds to the convenience, eliminating the hassle of dealing with tangled wires during installation.
Installation was straightforward. The included kit had everything I needed, and the doorbell seamlessly integrated into my home without any complications. It’s a hassle-free addition to any home, whether you’re tech-savvy or not.
One of the standout features of the Eufy S210 is the absence of monthly fees. It’s a relief to have a high-quality video doorbell without the burden of recurring costs. Eufy delivers on its promise of providing top-notch security without hidden fees.
The motion detection capabilities of this doorbell are exceptional. It picks up on even subtle movements, providing a sense of security that is second to none. The quick connection to answer calls is a game-changer — it ensures you can respond promptly to visitors or potential threats.
I appreciate the easy-to-use features for turning off detection when needed. Whether you’re expecting a delivery or simply want some privacy, the flexibility to control motion detection adds to the overall user experience.
One of the standout aspects of this doorbell is the ample storage it offers. No need to worry about running out of space for your video recordings — the Eufy S210 provides generous storage, ensuring you can review footage at your convenience.
In conclusion, the Eufy Security Video Doorbell S210 2K is a fantastic product that ticks all the boxes. Easy setup and installation, no monthly fees, excellent motion detection, quick call connections, and abundant storage make it a standout in the market. If you’re looking to enhance your home security without any hassle, look no further — the Eufy S210 is a wise investment.
Recently bought this, easy to install you can also wire it to the mains, I just did the battery which needs charging twice a year, the only little issue is the chime plug you get a a choice of 2, personally I think if it’s sold in Britain put a standard British plug on it, found it’s a bit temperamental if you knock it, apart from that the video quality, price and delivery are all very good.
Really great product with no ongoing subscriptions. Had it recommended by a friend who also has one. Initial set up instructions were not quite straightforward & it took us a couple of attempts to get it right via the app as we hardwired to existing door bell chime. Installation of actual bell was very easy & images are excellent. Make sure you follow set up instructions very carefully & set up via the Eufy app before connecting the door bell. Overall excellent product & would definitely recommend.
It was easy to install and set up. Feels robust and well made. The plug in device that is the sounder and memory store is a great idea. Good App. Have had issues with speach between the App and the bell if it rings. Too much delay to be practical but it’s not important to me. In a high people traffic area so records circa 300 times daily. Hence recharge of the battery is needed about every 10 days. Overall, pleased
Easy to physically install and okay for Wi Fi install. Can be battery or wired. I have gone for battery. No subscription needed. Good wide picture. Settings are scattered throughout the app and difficult to find what you want. It took me 2 days to work out how to stop motion alerts going to the chime and just go to my phone. A lot of false alerts even though I put visibility at 2 out of five. Still dings when people walk past on the pavement at the bottom of my drive which is about 11 metres from the bell. I have no experience of other bells. Maybe they are all similar. Overall I am happy with my purchase
We’ve been looking for a battery powered doorbell this comes out on top for price, picture quality, storage. Easy to install to the wall comes with fixtures. I do advise watch YouTube set up too. Remember to scan the QR on the receiver first then thedoorbell. Apps Easy to download. Again quality is great even at night time. Battery life is fine. It comes with a removable key for the battery (haven’t had to charge it up yet still on 38%) it came with 70% already charged. No monthly charges too. Fantastic produc
This is an excellent product and I’d say better than the better known alternative which comes with a monthly subscription. With Eufy you get crystal clear recording which you can view at and time (or just when someone pushes the bell) and view past recordings which get stored on the memory card all for a one off payment and no monthly fee. I’ve used it daily since I installed it three weeks ago and I’ve used it for a two way convo with the posty. I’m yet to loose any bars on the battery and I live on a busy main road. Can’t recommend this enough.
Really great doorbell but does come with a few downfalls, you are ment to be able to put in a motion zone which If crossed will be detected, which works perfectly but its really annoying that even if not crossed it will still send notifications if humans are present, which on a road near a school is really annoying as it pings me all the time, which it would only notify me if the zone is breached nothing else, ended up turning off motion notifications as was getting too much but apart from that it seems to work very well
First experience of a battery 2k hd video doorbell and was hesitant about drilling into upvc door frame and linking devices to my router. Instructions were helpful in setting up door chime unit but needed some patience. While doorbell was reaching full charge I used the supplied template to assist when measuring recommended height. Position was new for the doorbell, used the correct drill bit and this was fine for upvc. Utilised the mounting wedge to maximise desired coverage. Set up additional guest user and all the information prompts proved helpful. Great video results with excellent definition in day/night. This product was recommended to me and with the 16gb Wi-Fi chime storage facility the package supplies extra home security.
Make sure you fully charge the bell before set up! We did have a few issues with installing the Bell. Wouldn’t connect to the Internet, then wouldn’t chime, but our neighbour who recommended this put us in the right direction – video on you tube!
Now it’s working, no subscription costs and seeing cheeky neighbours using our pathway and letting their dog poo on our drive! Will be having words with them!
The video play is very clear – amazing quality, in beautiful colour. The app is easy to use. Get a little fed up with all the notifications, but you can turn that off. It’s great fun when people who visit regularly start to pull funny faces and the bell starts to recognise them and put them in as regular visitor – still fiddling with the app. Night time vision is great too!
Would recomnend. YOU DO NOT NEED A HOMEBASE WITH THIS BATTERY POWERED MODEL.
Great quality, pretty quick, depending on your internet connection as well*
Easy to install and charge, it goes for 3-4 weeks before charging, easy to get out and charge.
Good vid quality.
Installed on 21 July and the battery already needs recharging, which was fully charged before the doorbell was hung.
As the battery runs down so quickly,
would be good to have a spare to charge so I would have a doorbell all the time. Best charging when people are at home which can offer limited recharge timing.
Friday 21 July.
Good clear images and great sound.
Yet to use it as a doorbell.
Sensitivity to motion is poor, it takes a good 10 seconds to realise there is human motion and sometimes it doesn’t acknowledge at all ie I can walk down the drive and the camera picks up when I’m closing the door unfortunately. At other times it records people on motorbikes on the road. I have tweaked the motion parameters.
I hope this improves with time, installed on Friday.
Only been using for a week, but I’m pretty happy with it so far.
My main likes are, storage of events are stored separate from video door bell. great picture quality. Effective sensing zone and response . MUI making set-up personalized. Works with Alexa, echo, echo show 8 & mobile.
Dislikes ? as this is my first video doorbell, nearly a year in faultless service , none
Quality bit of kit relatively easy to set up. Check YouTube for set up as it’s not particularly intuitive. Eg, app then base or chime needs to be set up first. And you need either the base or chime as it’s not stand alone. Volume when trying to talk to someone could be improved as it’s a little quiet especially if there’s ambient noise. Disappointed that battery’s are bespoke and appear not available if/when they fail. Hopefully they’ll last.
Great video doorbell only downside is the delay between bell being pressed or human detection and an alert through the app. The camera is crystal clear day and night.
Overall the performance is good, clear captured video, just a little bit delay on capturing motion video but it is acceptable on me. The activity monitoring zoom also works and good.
I bought this as I am going on holiday and would like to see what’s going on around my home. Works great and the apps pretty good, only issue is that it doesn’t completely lock into place. Maybe just a fault on my device but just wanted to make you all aware.
Fairly easy to set up but the battery only lasts a few weeks even with the settings changed – I expected to not be having to recharge every few weeks which is not easy as have to remove the case to do this.
Good value, premium product.
App needs work (different settings all over the place, and tricky to set up) and human alert system is hit and miss. This is a fantastic doorbell solution though, and no monthly fees!
Nice quality made doorbell. Motion detection isn’t great, can send inaccurate alerts, and misses quite few events, like picking people up walking away from the door, but not towards….distance settings don’t seem to do anything, nor does the activity zones in the software settings. Battery life is decent, camera image quality is okay. Playback on the app is decent also, and so is the sound on recordings.
I recently purchased this doorbell for my new house since when I first moved in, every time I would hear a knock at the door, it would be someone knocking on the next door’s door… So to avoid the confusion I purchased this doorbell so I could tell when someone was at my door! This device, paired with its intuitive mobile app, has provided me with peace of mind and enhanced convenience.
With the doorbell, I can easily see who is at my door before I even answer it. This feature has been invaluable in avoiding unexpected visitors or scams. The lack of any subscription fees is a great advantage over the competitors like Ring, and I can access the app from anywhere, ensuring I never miss a parcel delivery while I’m away.
Setting up the doorbell was a breeze, thanks to the clear instructions provided in both the booklet and the app. The picture quality is excellent, providing crisp and clear images. While the sound quality is decent, I did experience occasional delays in loading the live stream or human detection clips within the app. However, considering the lack of subscription fees, I find this minor inconvenience manageable.
In conclusion, the doorbell offers enhanced home security and convenience. Not having to pay additional monthly subscription fees to look at my own camera and footage is a significant advantage as it’s stored locally to the Micro SD card stored in the chime, allowing me to access the app and stay connected while on the go. The setup process was straightforward, and the picture quality is exceptional. Despite occasional delays in app loading, this doorbell delivers excellent value for the price, and I highly recommend it to anyone seeking an upgrade in home security.
Right so I’m a single female who decided I was going to buy my own security system for my new house and do it myself! So …I bought this doorbell after me cancelling verisure which turned out to be a total rip off and the arlo doorbell was useless, so I came onto amazon to check out what I could get. Now I’m useless normally at deciding on things like this (always thought this was a man’s job ,sorry guys lol ) but I womanned up , and thought I can do this , so here’s how it went, opened the box took out the contents, opened the instruction booklet and what a surprise, the instructions were very clear! Bonus! Everything was pretty straightforward until I tried connecting to the chime (which came with it absolutely brilliant and saved me pennies) or the homebase 3 , so I took the Bell off and on scanning the qr code about 5 times before I finally managed to get it set up and linked, I then couldn’t fathom out how to move the cam picture so contacted the live chat to be told it can only look straight ahead! At this point I’m thinking that I’m going to have to send the whole lot back as nobody wants a video doorbell that can only look straight ahead, I ended the chat which was useless and no help, I then went onto the app and played about with it, viola, you can zoom in and out it was just a case of adjusting the settings turning the live mode on etc and it’s all working perfect! The picture quality is amazing compared to Arlo which was dire , now my next mission is to erect the 4k outdoor cameras and put solar panels on them to charge them 24/7 all in all well worth buying! I’m very happy
The good first reported lost in delivery, so I claimed refund. Several weeks later after the refund, it was delivered and money was deducted from my debit card again without my consent. Can this be?
The product is good, but u need to have a homebase as a chime to make it works. I failed to setup it alone at first. I then setup the camera sets with homebase, then go back to setup this door bell. It was completed straight away.
Easy to set up and install. Seller quick to reply to queries. Video clear in day and night modes. The only issue is that occasionally detection is delayed or the bell rings and no one is there. On the whole, I would recommend. It’s great for when we are out but also great for me at home as I have health issues and live in an upstairs flat. With this I can answer the door without trying to rush down the stairs. We have a communal garden so being able to set the motion range was a good feature. I’ve slightly adjusted it over time to suit us better. I also like that once bought there’s nothing else to pay as you don’t need to subscribe to anything. All in all, I would buy again.
Very easy to install and use night vision and motion detection grea
Just been fitted today by my son & at the moment it’s working very well.
Excellent product and fast delivery. Fitting service failed to turn up twice with no explanation. Therefore fitted it myself.
Love this. It’s great quality and security. You need good wifi or data when not home but otherwise is a good buy
Very happy with this product. Feel much safer in my own home. Recommended.
Does the job well with excellent picture quality night and day and a good field of view
Really good quality image day and night mode, easy set up and feeling more protected
Excellent doorbell clear picture doorbell alert even looks festive with red & green sensore. Very pleased gives peace of mind even when away from home
Easy to configure. Use the Eufy App for this too.
Picture quality is excellent and chime doorbell really loud.
I love that there are no monthly costs.
A little awkward to set up at first but all good now a really good product with no subscription so excellent value for money
Does anyone know how you remove this film on top? Mines all scratched.
Easy to install. The quality of picture is excellent. I had to turn off the night mode, as I have a street light across from my house, which affected the picture. Even without the night mode, I get a really good picture. It also picks up people passing my house. I’m impressed with it, and would recommend it to others.
Excellent clarity night or day , adjustable motion detection . Really good will invest in matching cameras also
Motion detection is very good quality and picture quality is also good.
Very easy to set up and solid quality of item and video feed. Very happy so far and also recommended to others.
I bought this to replace my Ring. No payment required to save footage. The WiFi range is a bit weaker, otherwise works great.
Easy set up. Vision in night mode and day mode is clear and we now know when anyone comes to the door before they ring the bell!
Really pleased with this excellent video doorbell. Easy to install and great quality pictures!
Love my new eufy doorbell
It was super easy to set up and easy to mount on the wall the best bit is having a conversation with the postman telling them where to leave the parcel!! Also there is no monthly charge for the footage!! Love it !!
Would recommend this item, the only downfall is that nighttime vision is not that great it’s only shows in black and white and it’s quite dark at nigh
Very good doorbell
Pros
Easy to assemble
Easy to connect
Local storage
Good picture quality
Fast loading to open the video
Cons
Small local storage
The doorbell speakers are relatively low volume.
Still offers expensive cloud storage (more expensive than ring and limited to 30 days. ring is 180 days)
No antitheft (at least local storage should be protected and locked if the device is removed – I suggest adding a function to automatically download recorded clips to mobile)
No apple home sync, although other devices from eufy can be synced.
Difficult to connect to google home, I am still trying (it is connected but when I ask google to show on the screen it fails)
But generally I recommend the device because of the local storage, as I still don’t need to pay for cloud, as it is not easy to remove the device.
Looks to do everything I hoped it would. Not over sensitive but records all relevant activity. At long last a doorbell which works – and seems to work well.
Does a good job easy to set up and install decent quality videos highly recommended
Bought this to replace a cheap and cheerful one which was poor. The setup was not totally straightforward as I had difficulty getting it to recognise my wifi. This was resolved using the help pages on the Eufy website. It functions well although there is a delay in receiving both alerts and 2-way communication – this seems to be a common issue with all wireless doorbells and is, I guess, more a factor of internet use than an issue with the hardware. Installation was easy and it looks smart. Storage is on the supplied micro SD card in the chime. On this basis, I don’t see any reason to buy the more expensive unit with the home hub!
A great product, easy to set up but be aware with your mobile data as it certainly gets through i
This is a good product but it is no way as good as the leading Doorbell product. The fact that you do not need a yearly fee is appealing. However the motion detection is either too sensitive or non functional, therefore mixed results. I would say that this is more aimed as a dedicated doorbell and not as a security product which is what the leading brand is famed for.
Overall functional, but just know that it is not equal to the leading doorbell. Price wise it is worth it, hopefully future firmware updates will improve the product. The phone app is ok.
I found that this doorbell reacts much quicker than my other camera systems. The software has lots of options and I particularly like the one where it examines the video and picks out a full face image of who is at the door and sends that in the notification along with the video clip. I like the fact that you can define and record some preset replies so if there’s a poor connection and the caller might not hear you properly then you can “speak” one of your canned replies. I like the option to alert me even if the caller doesn’t ring the bell. When the caller does ring the bell then my many Alexa devices announce it throughout the house and my phone announces it too. I like the fact that I don’t need a monthly subscription to store my recordings. I like that the doorbell lights up the rim around the button whilst the caller is standing there so that they can see it in the dark. I like that the doorbell has its own chime so that the caller knows that it did something when they pressed it. I have had no false alerts from the many cats that are always walking past my front door.
I had seen mixed reviews for the Eufy doorbell but given the majority were good, I went ahead. After two weeks, I am very pleased. The bell was easy to install and set up. Response time is good, typically a motion alert appears within 10 seconds or so. Picture quality and sound are excellent but the biggest plus is that videos are stored on the small base station which come with the doorbell, so there’s no subscription. Finally, the main complaint I read before buying was poor battery life. I have found the opposite. After 17 days operation, the battery has 88% charge. By my reckoning, that’s around 4 months run time. It might not be the 6 months Eufy claim, but it’s good enough for me.
Seems pretty good so far. Easy to install and set up. Responsiveness and time to launch the app and present the picture is much better than a Ring 2. Picture quality is very good, but with 2k camera that’s as expected. We’ll see how it performs in practice, and particularly how much Fidel g and ‘tuning’ is needed to make it do what we need.
This was really easy to assemble and the picture quality is great with good motion detection. However to talk to someone through the camera is very poo
I had some difficulty setting this up but the seller helped with their quick responses. It misses some of the motion and there is slight delays. I limited the area of interest to the front of my apt door. The night vision is great and image quality is clea
Only downside is live streaming kills the battery, other than that it’s great. Really easy to install.
I could not get the motion detection to work well, contacted Eufy, they responded quickly to suggest some custom setting which improved the trigger alerts, but the battery life was reduced to only 2 weeks. I have since hard wired the video doorbell and has worked flawless since, and now never needs to be charged.
