Good product. it says that the battery lasts up to 6 months but mine has to be charged every month as there are a doing works in front of my house so it is picking up a lot of motions. The good thing is that doesn’t need any online storage. Happy with it.
Setup via BT and Wifi was very unreliable – a 10min job took an hour and a lot of swearing as app/door chime couldn’t get or hold connections.
Good image quality now it’s working, integrates well with echo show.
I find the door camera is exactly what I want but the setup was not user friendly. I had to recharge the battery after only one month, when I expected it to last longer.
I only installed it yesterday but it seems really good so far. Haven’t had a chance to play about with app and settings yet. But the installation was very easy and the picture is excelle
Took me a little while to get my head around the motion detection. Basically I set the AI human to 5 (1-5 isn’t anything to do with distance) within detection zone. Then set custom recording in power setting to 2 minutes, 2 seconds and end when motion stops. And it works fantastically well. No false alarms from shadows, dispite facing a public footpath! Mobile alerts are within 2-3 seconds for me too, although the doorbell is powered with a plugin power adaptor, so that may help?

The only criticism I have is that the install is a bit flakey. The ringer unit which holds the SD card needs to make a one time Bluetooth connection to your smartphone. This was an issue and the connection kept falling. I went into my phone’s bluetooth settings and had to scan for devices and pair it. Performance is superb and the lack of needing a paid cloud sub to access images and video is most welcome Try and edit the detection area to avoid picking up passers by on foo
Found it easy to set up and position. Has an adjustment to angle the bell and camera in case you don’t want your bell to face forward which we used to get better coverage.
We have connected it to our smart speaker so we get a message as well as the bell which is very helpful. You can also turn off the motion sensor and the bell if you are working outside.

I have a floodlight camera that works really well, however rather getting a doorbell that has power to it, this seemed perfect.
It is advertise as 180 day charge on the battery and it might be true if you tweak the settings.
I have it so it detects and records my clips and that drains the battery and I’m left with less than 40 days of battery I reckon.
If you change the setting to lower motion detection and not to clip (which is not great for security) you can stretch the battery but then you’ll only get notified for door bell rings.
Other than the battery it is a great bit of kit, when I move I’ll probably get it hooked up to power. Easy to setup and the charge is really easy.

The first thing I noticed when I took this out if the box was the feel and quality. It is clearly well made and feels sturdy. It has a very good manual and clear instructions including online videos.
I chose this product because it gave me the choice of using it either connected to the mains or just using its battery. It was so easy to install I was able to fit it by wiring the existing wires of my door bell to the back.
The other plus with this product is the fact that it has substantial memory in the device so the Eufy service can work without having to pay for a monthly subscription which many security cameras do. It all links wirelessly to the Eufy app which I have been using for nearly a month. I can download videos to my phone and I can set the motion detector to be more or less sensitive.
I hadn’t even heard of the brand Eufy before buying this but I will definitely be looking at their other products. I am a very happy customer. 🙂 Definitely a 5 star product and review. Thank you!
I personally find this a brilliant product. Firstly, I ordered it at the end of Feb and I still haven’t needed to charge it – so battery is fantastic! The images are super clear. It has recorded every time someone has been at the door, it’s recorded them. And you can go on to the app and check at anytime too. I have to say with an SD card this doesn’t require a monthly fee, unlike the Ring, which does. All in all this is a much better option than Ring as it’s a one off cost. Not sure about the negative reviews – I would assume the setup hasn’t been done properly?
Easy enough to install. The instructions are clear. I get notifications and alerts on my phone if anyone approaches the house or rings the bell. Short clips are stored which I delete every day. Speaking to a caller remotely via my phone if I am away is too slow and doesn’t seem to work if I’m not on a good Wi-Fi connection. I’m using batteries not a wired connection and they seem to be lasting ok.
Really like this bell. It records movement on a clear video and sound too. No subscription charges which is good.

The Dual Powered 2K Eufy video bell most closely satisfies my requirements:-
1] Can be powered using existing bell wiring – Yes
UK bell transformers supply low voltage AC current but with insufficient power to supply most wired-only video bells. This is even more of an issue if you want more than one video bell. Therefore, even if bell wiring is in place it is possible that you will be unable to fit a wired video bell without the help of an electrician to upgrade the power supply. A battery only bell is a solution but requires recharging and choosing battery saving modes, such as limiting video recordings/quality, to reduce the recharging frequency. It seemed to me that an attraction of a battery/wired video bell is that the battery should supply enough power to run the bell when used, relying on the low power conventional bell wire current, at other times, to keep the battery topped up. I have two Eufy video bells connected to an 8VA supply that work fine and do not require recharging. Despite the inadequate power supply specifications, the Eufy app indicates they are ‘wired’.
2] Smart video bell with Alexa integration – Yes
The Eufy bell is able to ring and display video on suitable Alexa equipment.
3] Stores video locally without need for subscription service – Yes
Video is stored locally in a chime or Homebase 2 and can be accessed using a mobile app.
4] IP camera to link with CCTV system – No
Unfortunately, I have been unable to find a bell with an IP camera in this price range.
There are a number of different models of Eufy bells available. This model is the only Eufy bell that records at 2k definition and has a dual power option. This listing is for a bell with a chime but it can be used, or purchased, with a Homebase 2, which you may already have if you are using other Eufy equipment. When considering use with a bell the chime seems to offer the same functionality as the Homebase 2 except that as it has a removable microSD card, unlike the Homebase 2, allowing higher capacity memory to be installed. The chime plugs straight into a power outlet whereas the Homebase 2 connects via a wire so needs something to sit on.
The quality of the video from the bell is very good. I have it set up to record if there is movement which means that it always starts recording before the bell is pressed. A live video feed can be accessed at any time. I am not troubled with false alarms so have not used the Activity Zone setting. I am very happy with the extra security I get from the bell. I can see who has been to the house, when they came, if they pressed the bell and if they have left a package or not. I find that when I am out, I am more likely to miss a caller because I have left my phone behind or have a poor signal so do not use it much this way. An added bonus is that my Galaxy watch now tells me whether a caller is at the front or back door !
Good camera/doorbell but battery doesn’t last nowhere near as long as they say it does??
Have used it for a few months now and pleased to say no problems faced so far. The connection has been very stable – few delays in receiving notifications but not a big deal, live stream comes up within 5 seconds of opening the App.
Battery has been holding charge quite well and will probably last about 3-4 months before a recharge is needed (moderate usage).
I was worried about latency and connection dropping that some of the other users have had, but so far its been working great.
One suggestion is on the supplied screws when attaching to the wall – they are very flimsy and the thread is destroyed with a bit of torque, best to use alternative screws rather than the supplied one’s unless you use a manual screwdriver and slowly screw them in – in which case dont over-tighten.

Looked a few of the obvious choices and did a bit of research before paying any money. Very pleased with this purchase does everything needed and then some. Very happy highly recommended
I did a lot of research and decided to go with Eufy. They had good writeups and a good reputation. The installation was pretty easy, but I would advise to install with double sided tape to start with so you can be absolutely certain of the location / height of the unit.
The App! here is where it gets faffy. The app is not intuitive at all, and I consider myself to be pretty techy. There is plenty of info out there on how to do things, but it should not be that tricky. Products are all about their interfaces these days and the Eufy interface is clunky and unhelpful. Case in point: I wanted to turn off the indoor Chime audio alert to motion, it was a siren, the ping on my phone was enough. It took ages and at one point I had to turn the Chime unit off.
It does not pick movement up until the human is about 3 metres away from the camera.
Alert wise, it is fine.
Live viewing has about a 2-3 second delay
Overall, I’m happy but need to compare this with my other vendor camera to see which is best.

Pros, very nice clear video and good images, easy set up and install, looks really nice aesthetically, comes with a good chime and has local storage so no monthly fees. Can be wired for power.
Cons, major problems with delayed notifications which occur even when connected to the same wifi network, I did try all the tips online to speed up notifications but delays are noticeable, other con is the heads of the screws that come with it do not sit flush with the base plate which is made of cheap plastic so if you are screwing the nail you can easily screw right through the base plate, I worry about how secure to the wood frame of my door it really is.
Overall not terrible but a real let down
Update: increase my rating. so it’s been over a month and I have managed to reduce the notification delay significantly by playing around with the sensitivity/detection area settings as well as changing the location of my router but it is still a slight delay. Also the call feature when the bell is pressed by a visitor is quite good. One drawback I now see is that the battery life is definitely not as long a advertised, more like 6 weeks after optimising detection notifications.
I like this product. I have used it to replace my Ring doorbell. I can now store all my videos in house on my own servers.
I thought long and hard before buying this. No contract and a brilliant piece of kit. Works really well. Mine is fitted to a proper bell transformer so no battery issues.

After doing a lot of research into what video doorbell to plump for, I settled on this eufy for the wireless, long battery life and the fact its made by anker, which are a quality brand.
Its been up 3 days now and I’m impressed, the picture quality is fantastic as is the sound, notifications are pretty much instant and the app is easy to use.
Took a little bit of tweaking over the 3 days to set the motion detection properly, everything was setting it off but now I have set a detection zone only my property is covered.
It still sometimes misses things, for example I will walk past and it will pick me up straight away, but I park my car on the drive and it won’t even notice this huge metal tub on wheels pull up to it! This is only occasional, most of the time it catches everything.
The price was what sold it though. Bear enough 100. Cant beat that.
UPDATE ON BATTERY. I bought this on March 1st 2022. It is now 26th April and the battery is almost flat so it needs a recharge. So it hasn’t lasted 2 months. But I can live with this, it’s far less hassle for me to charge it than to wire it in to the mains (which is possible with this doorbell) battery life is also dependant on how many things trigger the camera and how often you view it live etc.
Overall after nearly 2 months I’m very happy indeed with this doorbell. It’s exceeded my expectations.
I have had this security doorbell about 6 weeks now and it is excellent, the 2k video quality is very good, there was initially an issue with sound quality but the excellent customer support sorted it out really quickly, notifications come through quickly and the thumbnail feature is very good and helpful, everything on mine works as advertised and as it should and set up and fitting is easy, for me the best feature is the ability to create a zone that will activate the camera on the doorbell when that zone is entered, I have a very short distance to the road outside of my house but after playing around with the settings and the zone I have managed to set it so I don’t get lots of notifications I don’t want but if someone sets foot through my gate the camera is activated, very precise and very accurate and useful, it is difficult to find fault with this item, keep up the great work Eufy.

The setup was easy and the build quality is superb. I purchased this because the chime has the ability to store video without a cloud subscription service. It is really good value for money.
I live in a Victorian Terrace 2 meters from the pavement and unfortunately the motion detection is too sensitive. With motion detection on it drains the battery in 2 weeks, the software couldn’t reduce the detection successfully for my property.
So a great quality product but little disappointed with the motion detection sensitivity.

Great product but was not easy to set up on security app.
Contact with seller was via email only and answered roughly every 24 hours. After nearly a week, i was still no closer to getting doorbell set up. Eventually a live helpline with Eufy came back on line (was down for maintenance!!), and problem was solved within a few minutes.
After that, everything was straightforward and the door bell is working very well.

Ordered and arrived promptly. Spent a few minutes setting it up , and it is up and running. Good picture quality. Nice to have a chime built in to the base station.
Downsides, does take a little time for notifications to come through on phone. Also the supplied 15 degree mounting was not enough for our circumstances. However a quick browse and we found a mounting block with 45 degree which worked better. But cost another8 . Would have been nice to have it included even if had to pay a little more. I bought this doorbell to add it to my existing Eufy system of cameras. Previously I had another big brand doorbell that was ok but not great. I set this doorbell up to work off my existing homebase rather than the chime and as with all Eufy products it was really easy using the app. Picture quality is very good and the night vision is good also. Notifications come through fastest if you select notification only and not select images. This doorbell integrates perfectly into my existing setup and works exactly as I hoped it would. Very easy to install and so a few of my family are now purchasing them. Would highly recommend!

Installation was super easy as stated, no problems connecting to our network. It seemed to take a few days to settle down, the first day or two it would miss the odd person coming to the doors, I thought at first I could only have one door bell on a chime, but, it has now settled and it works perfectly.
We are extremely pleased with the picture quality both day and night. Well worth the money.
The picture quality is excellent in the daylight and very good at night. The only problem I’m having at the moment is that it does not detect me every time I go near it, even though it appears to have detected me. This seems to happen mainly at night. I like the way it records what movement it detects to a card rather than my having to pay a subscription to save recordings. If I can get this doorbell to detect motion every time it will become a 5 star item.
Easy installation and the picture good night or day. Alexa setup took some time as the camera was coming up as not supported in the Alexa app. Still says that but was able to get Alexa to show me the camera and set a routine to show on my firestick when the doorbell is pressed.
It serves my needs well enough but I have found that there is a delay of approx. 15 – 20 seconds between the door bell being pushed or a motion detection event to an alert being generated on my smartphone. I would highlight however that the remote doorbell chime sounds immediately when the bell is pushed. I have not yet found a setting to overcome this latency to my phone.
It is important to follow the set up sequence in the installation instructions and the selection of whether the unit is battery operated or hardwired. Get it wrong and the unit doesn’t work properly. Also you must install and commission the chime before the doorbell unit (important) or again it doesn’t work properly.
The motion detection gives very few false alerts once the detection zone has been set up
The video playback quality is good. Audio is good.
Before starting to fit the unit I would advise taking a photograph or make a note of the details on the rear of the the doorbell unit as you may need this during the installation process.
So far I have been impressed by this unit especially as there are no subscription fees to pay for video storage.
I have only given 4 stars overall at present due to the smartphone alert latency which may be a Wi Fi networking issue peculiar to my property. Investigations are still ongoing.

A bit tricky to set up but once operational can’t fault it. I’ve wanted a video doorbell for some time ( I live out in the sticks ) but was put off by the monthly charge by the only other one I considered, this Eufy system solves that problem. Detection pretty good but does miss the occasional vehicle and picture quality is excellent.
Had this for the past 3 months and needed to charge it just once. No subscription required and timely notifications to my smartphone.

This was the 3rd video doorbell we had tried & we nearly gave up as they either detected everything from a leaf blowing in the breeze to virtually nothing. This one took a little time and fiddling to set up but is really worth it. Human detection recommended.
Picture quality is good but poor back plate made of plastic should me made of metal. If pulled hard it will come off the wall very easily. Can get stolen very easily all u need is a small pin. Not happy with the built quality
The product comes very well packed, with everything you may need to mount it on either wood or brick surface.
The product USP is that it doesn’t require any costly Cloud Storage for recorded footage ( recurring cost/ privacy). Instead there is a 16GB memory card mounted in the inside Wi-Fi Door Ring module (WDR). Footage recorded is accessible through an app.
The supplied ( multilingual) instructions are clear and intuitive.
1. Installation.
Installation is in three parts, the WDR, the Doorbell (DB) itself and a Smartphone application which needs to be downloaded and configured with an online user account. Do this first!
WDR plugs into any power outlet, in an area with good Wi-Fi connection. WDR connection to existing Wi-Fi network is easy to set up through the Smartphone app. There will likely be a firmware update to download..
Once WDR is configured, add DB to the online account through the app (clear guidance provided through the app). Once again, a firmware update for DB will likely be available and should be installed.
Next, fully charge DB through USB.
Carefully install DB outside your entrance while maintaining good connection to both WDR and Wi-Fi. Follow positioning guidance given in the manual/app.
2 Performance.
2K video is very good but not excellent. Video enhancement available is WDR only, not HDR. Built in human recognition in DB is a pretty good attempt, but not at all 100% accurate. Personally, I have turned it off and use the setting ” detect all events”, in combination with a carefully set detection zone.
Your experience talking to a caller depends on connection/ bandwidth but, in common with similar devices, there will likely be some lagging effect and distortion of sound.
3. Opinion.
This device is well put together. Installation is clear. Performance is good. You save recurring fees for cloud storage and preserve privacy.
I recommend this product.
Had great expectations for this Eufy 2K camera doorbell after watching several positive reviews on YouTube. Build quality is very good. Picture quality is also good. Sound volume is not so great for visitors if the doorbell is used in a location near to passing traffic due to volume being fairly low. There is a long delay connecting to the app after doorbell has been activated, resulting in some visitors leaving before having a chance to speak to them. When having a conversation there can be a noticeable delay making conversations difficult. Battery life is below expectation but has been overcome by using a 24v AC transformer. Motion detection is good and Human detection is also very good. Would highly recommend if you want to keep a daily record of the times people enter and exit property. Customer service is excelle
Had this doorbell around 2 weeks now and currently think it’s much better that the 2 ring doorbells I have had. Picture quality is amazing and was so easy to set up. Doorbell ringing notifications seem to come through within seconds of being pressed but still working on the motion notifications as they seem to only pop up once I open the app. Very happy with this upgrade from my previous doorbell and would recommend to anyone considering one
I agonised for ages over whether to get this or a Ring bell and I’m glad I took feedback from other Eufy owners and made the leap of faith as the motion detection, range and picture quality are excellent.
Fitting seemed easy, my husband did it in less than 20 minutes and once I realised I had to set up the doorbell and chime individually, this was also really quick.

Great product. Picture quality is very good for both day & night. You can set the motion sensor sensitivity to your own likeness which is good. I haven’t tried the two way conversation yet but all other features work well and good value for money.
I like the product very much, am very happy. BUT I have already reviewed it once. Is this a nefarious use by Amazon of requesting a review to boost the number of “Likes” for a product??
2k picture quality noticeably better than 1080p. SD card indoors inside doorbell chime you plug in which is great so no need for cloud subscription as with Ring ones. Can’t fault product. Easy to hard wire too so not reliant on battery.
I’m very pleased with my doorbell.

I also like the pre-footage of any detection – you see the postie or other visitor earlier than on our other cameras which is really useful. Night vision is very good too. This is a feature rich camera – definitely not bare bones.
The reason for 4 stars for motion detection is Anker (whose brand EUFY is) haven’t quite polished their ‘Human’ detection algorithm.. Pop it on to any detection with a sensibly set detection zone, and hey presto what a camera.
Alert to connection time on 4G to view the alert is about 5 to 7 seconds I’d say. Audio is reported as clear too.
Absolutely fantastic bit of kit!! My children brought it for me for safety & it has far surpassed any expectations I had for this. The motion detection is spot on, picture crystal clear. I do wish the doorbell had a longer range as it needs to be very close to doorbell & hun which is annoying. Our nighttime image is very dark but think it may be where it is fitted. If you are thinking of getting one I would honestly say go for this. I heard such things like people will knock & be gone but not with this!! Honestly love it & feel much safe
Bought a couple of weeks ago. Easy to fit. Sensitivty seems fine – as been working from home and captured footage of all visitors. No false captures casued by other movement so hoping that will see the battery life close to what is advertised – time will tell. No noticable lag between notification and visitors. Footage very clear – top quality, and night vision also very clear. Using a larger micro card but a 16GB came with it so its useable right out the box. Very happy.

Superb service. Highly quality product. Exactly as expected. Sensitivity is a wee bit high but if one carefully adjusts zones it’s OK. Yet to observe battery life….

The video recordings are excellent quality, clear and sharp but I find the few seconds delay rather frustrating. I would still recommend this product as the advantages certainly outway the lag.

Detection system is good although there’s a bit of a delay but nothing major.
The battery life is not as long as stated though. I find myself having to charge it every 1 month and I don’t use the device more than necessary!
Doesn’t take long to charge though but would be nice if the battery life was longer.
Overall I would still recommend. Ring devices are definitely overrated!

very good security feature and i like the fact that it integrates well with Alexa.
The doorbell works great, a friend of mine got ring from Amazon and that one is way worse than this one in everything. This one works really good, my only complain is that the notifications are delayed a little bit, not a massive big deal tho.
I am happy with this as it monitors my front door and parking. I do not need to talk to bell ringers as They usually deliver and leave before the app cuts in. Alexa was a bit of a challenge but is now working with it too. I would like to be able to see the deliveries on my Alexa show but this is not available Still very good value. No monthly charges and recargeable battery lasts ages.
Easy to install, great picture and no contract fees. Only slight problem is delay when talking to someone at front door via mobile.
Initially it didn’t recognise the MicroSD card, however after restarting it did.
I was quite worried before it arrived whether I was supposed to buy the base station. Thankfully it works fine without it.
I’m so impressed I’m looking at getting the eufy security cameras, however I’m still a bit uncertain whether I need to buy a base station for that or if the chime can act as a base station for any new security cameras I buy.
wish eufy would make that clearer.
Another thing was the instructions didn’t talk (unless I missed it) about attaching it to a UVPVC door. I wasn’t sure if it’s ok to use the screws on it so I just bought double sided adhesive tape and it seems to work fine.

Night vision is superb and so easy to set up, and just 2 screws to the door frame . Simple and Secure
Purchased for a family member, easy to physically install. Pairing the system with phone and IPad also easy to do. Picture and audio quality was good, there is some lag between detection and notification but overall it works well and allows you to communicate with people at your front door if needed. Some dialing in around sensitivity is needed based on your location as this can be affected by traffic / sunlight etc but the system can be trained. Pending feedback on battery life so will see how that goes.

Took a while to get my head around setting it up but got there in the end.
Picture quality is pretty good and motion detector is very sensitive, so much so that I normally turn it off.
The video works well when someone rings the bell and the audio is good enough, however it seems that if i’m in the house it works, if i’m in the garden it doesn’t, need to look into that, hopefully it’s not limited by wifi range.
I have had the video doorbell for about a month and so far it has exceeded my expectations. Set up was pretty straightforward except when it did not seem to like the names I was choosing for the doorbell. After a few attempts it seemed to allocate a name itself which sorted the issue. Recommended.
We did purchase other doorbells camera prior to this one.
The Eufy came out best, the notifications worked, and setting up the detection zone worked well.
The problem with it is, its a 2k camera, so in order to view it away from home on a 4G/3G connection you need to turn the quality down to medium.
Once I did that it works well.

Since I bought this item I found it very useful and easy to manage from their featured application. It works well with alexa and Google assistant also. Quality of images is 2k but be aware that the overall quality depends on fpm and network speed /Wi-Fi coverage in your house. Settings can be customised to accommodate everyone’s needs and can memorised on different family members. 2 ways audio-visual communication makes this security device the best option if you are looking to upgrade your home safety whilst away working or during holidays.
I used the setup with my existing door bell which uses 14V and this one easily could be used to replace the existing push switch. Love it from the moment I connected it in.

I love this self contained system with no contract. It would get a 5* but there is a delay picking up movement. A person could be half way past before I’m alerted, this might be the connection to me phone?
It’s good that there is no ongoing cost with this. Picture quality is good. It was easy to set up, though I am still not getting notifications, despite following set-up instructions. When I’m at home getting them could be a bit annoying I think, but this will affect effectiveness when I am out.
The camera and chime are perfect provided you can get a good Wi-Fi signal from your house. The quality of the items is excellent as are the wonderful instructions for installation and setup of the system. A most rewarding solution for me as ringing doorbell is also on my mobile phone.
Build quality belies the cost. Picture quality of 2c camera is way beyond expectation. Night vision is good enough to cover rear areas. Wifi connection is good, from homebase to furthest camera is around 25 meters, works perfectly. Movement sensor can be trigger happy but not yet tried different settings. The app is good, providing clear instructions with adequate setting parameters. Within system recording is very good and notifications to phone are pretty instantaneous. This 2c and 2k door cam is not the best, but features are good for most and the cost of 150 for 2c camera x 2, homwbase 2 and 2k door cam with separate wi fi chime with additional memory card included, for 119 in my honest opinion excellent value for money. Recommended
This doorbell is very easy to fit and set up. When connected to my phone it gives me an alert when someone approaches the door and the video starts. I can communicate with the person at the door and the video is saved to my phone.
