I only gave this 4 stars as the battery that came with it wouldn’t charge. Amazon couldn’t replace it so gave me vouchers to the value of 30. Luckily I have a cordless strimmer and the battery from it fits both.

I bought these to keep hedges and some shrubs in shape. The cutters are easy too use and the battery life is much better than I imagined, certainly they are much easier too use than my last mains powered version. Perhaps a little noisy, but not unreasonably so, importantly they certainly do the job at a very sensible price – after using them for a couple of months I can certainly recommend

Design of handles helps control the trimmer. Being cordless, there’s no need to worry about a long cable, as our previous trimmer had, getting in the way or getting accidentally cut and tripping the household circuit breaker! (er……… or so I’ve been given to understand can happen …..). Longer term, need to see what the battery life is after many charges/discharges.

I was sceptica as always had a flex cutter. This is a great device. Really food battery life. I used it at the pony sanctuary which is a huge space and it lasted over 4 hours cutting.

Love the ease of use. They are light and do the job required and no power cable to cut through. Price pretty good and very fast delivery. Overall a handy piece of equipment at a reasonable price,. Recommend seller.
I like its lightness, but of course it cannot be compared with the efficiency of gasoline or 220V
I bought this because I bought the Flymo strimmer a few weeks before and wanted to ensure the batteries would be interchangeable. Very light and very easy to use.

This is an excellent product for the price. The battery life is fantastic. I would highly recommend.
Quality tool. Made quick and light work of trimming my privet hedge. 20 minutes light work instead of over an hour with normal hedge shears. Wish I had bought these years ago.

I bought this Hedge trimmer for a two small laurel hedges in my garden (about 18ft long combined) The trimmer is light and easy to handle. There is plenty of battery life to cut the hedge. It also has a good blade length. While is does cut the hedge, it seems to find the broad laurel leaves a bit of a struggle – works ok though

After I managed to cut the cable of my hedge trimmer for the umpteenth time I decided a battery powered one was the way to go.
Like Flymo products in general this is quite a lightweight (a good thing with a hedge trimmer) almost budget quality item. I generally go for mid priced items but as this was available through Vine I had nothing to lose.
As previously mentioned this is quite lightweight and easy to manoeuvre about. I’m not sure how long the battery takes to recharge as I just leave it recharging over-night. The battery has to be removed to be charged and you don’t get a spare. A spare battery is very pricey compared to the cost of the trimmer so I won’t be buying one. Once charged it seems to last around 30 minutes. I would expect that battery life depends on the thickness of the hedge you’re trimming.
Overall I’m quite happy with the performance but I only have a small number of hedges to trim. If you have the size of hedge that will take hours to cut then this isn’t suitable unless you can justify buying a spare battery or two.

Very nice bit of kit, long and powerful battery life, light and easy to use.
This trimmer is a breeze to use , it’s light enough for me to use has a good tooth space which allows you to cut bigger parts of your hedge /small branches etc.It cuts cleanly and is so much more usable without the cord ,I didn’t have to worry about the cable and if I ws anywhere near it with the blade (yes i have cut through a cable befoer ,even when trying to be careful).The length is good and for a hedge trimmer it’s not overly loud (my petrol one was very load) and being battery operated there are no petrol fumes to contend with.
But the best thing here is the unit holds charge even when stored due to the lithium battery so you can just grab it from the shed and go cut without having to charge a flat battery first, the run time of the battery was adequate for my needs but if you were to buy a second battery to have ready to go on longer jobs you can change them over very eaasily

At last the weather is decent enough to put this to the test on the pesky privet hedge. Personally I hate the thing and would gladly chop it down, but it does provide the necessary privacy so I’ll spare it.
This cordless trimmer is brilliant. My old trimmer had yards and yards of cable which had to be constantly moved out of the way for fear of cutting through it, or getting tangled in the stepladders. The fact that this is cordless makes is so much easier to use without that worry. It’s also fairly light and very manoeuvrable. I like the guard on the handle which ensures hands and fingers are kept well away from the blades.
A fully charged battery was more than enough for me to complete the hedge, and a small conifer, so about 30 minutes total. I’m not going to put it on charge until I’ve used it again, then I can see how long a full charge lasts.

Much quieter than my old corded one the blades also seem to move slower, however it made short work of a hedge in desperate need of trimming and no worrying that I was going to cut a cord. Happily the battery and charger are the same as my cordless flymo grass trimmer so that was a bonus.

Easy to charge and very light to hold, this trimmer slices through thin hedges and liandi bushes with ease. Recommended to wear goggles as the bits can fly about; charge seems to last a good 30- 40 mins, so more than adequate for a reasonable sized hedge
Arrived on time but packaging badly damaged. Trimmer appears to be OK. Feels quite lightweight compared to my previous Bosch model. Not tried to use on anything substantial yet so time will tell! However this will make it easier for me to lift and use.

This is a great little trimmer and a delight to use – just remember to label the mains charger and keep it in a safe place. A really handsome little unit which is as safe to use as a hedge trimmer can possibly be and as efficient as you could expect. As ever with Flymo, this is a dream to use and a real asset to keep in your garden shed.

This is a useful tool unlike some battery tools I have had. I have used it on a variety of shrubs and it handled them with ease.

Great quality and value. Cordless design makes so much sense. Slightly less powerful than a corded hedge trimmer, but gets the job done with ease. If you’re looking to cut through thicker branches, it might struggle. But for standard trimming and maintenance, it’s fantastic.

Usually cant be bothered to return stuff but Will see what Customer services say on that problem. I have other flymo products which are good so maybe just a one off faulty item

This is excellent trims my trees and bushes very well. Battery has never ran out despite being in use for a while. The battery does take a while to charge up though.
a. Generally seems fine.
b. Better on twigs and similarly harder material (up to the permitted diameter) – not quite so good on softer material.
c. Not well packaged – the card was split at the point where the blade joins the handle. A label on the manufacturer’s box is a bit lazy.
Longevity will be the real test.

Light and practical. My wife has only used half a dozen times so far, but has found it handles well, battery lasts reasonably well, and it cuts cleanly.

Finally a cordless hedge cutter that is both a realistic alternative to a cable powered version in terms of trimming capability and has a current technology battery that is powerful, long lasting and easy to keep in good shape. Thoroughly recommended and great value.
I have been really impressed with this product, I was concerned that it would not be as powerful as the electric corded hedge trimmers I have used in the past, but it has handled everything with ease and the battery life has been very good indeed. The Flymo is also really handy to just grab and start using and I don’t have to worry about any cables. I also find the Flymo very pleasant to handle and in my opinion it’s a good looking machine, so overall I can’t really fault it.
Good machine, easy to carry around the garden to keep hedges and shrubs trimmed. Battery lasts about an hour and charges within 3 or 4. Very happy with purchase.
These are much better than the 14v trimmers I had. They’re smoother cut, quieter and battery last significantly longer.

Bought this for my daughter. She says it is light and easy to use. Tried it myself and I agree. I am a mother nearing 80 and I had no trouble using it on the lower level.

The battery on this cordless trimmer was still driving the cutter very well after 40 minutes. I hear you say only forty? Forty minutes is plenty of time to trim a 45 foot long hedge 6 feet high ,both sides and the top. This is a fantastic small trimmer.
