This is a fabulous mower ! It’s so light and easy to manoeuvre. My only criticism would be that the illustrations on the leaflet to assemble are not very clear .

Bought this to replace an old heavy mower as my husband is ill. Fairly easy to assemble once I’d read how. (Husband would have done it easily but I’m not that handy!) This one took a a lot less effort and cut the grass well even though it was quite long. Did have to empty the grass box a few more times but pleased with the result. Fixed cable so you do need to be careful not to run over it!

This is a super little lawnmower, easy to assemble very manouvreable ,and really light so that can be lifted with one hand.
It is ideal for an older person ,can be turned on with either hand and dragged easily over uneven garden.
It cuts well and collect grass well!!
Also ideal for small garden(although I am managing a medium size garden!)

Bigger than expected. Me being short find handle a bit high. Therefore a bit difficult for me to manoeuvre. Other than that easy to assemble, cuts well.

My od flymo packed in so needed a new one. Whilst this is a good quality mower and would recommend it is not without its flaws. Fitting instructions could have been clearer. The grass bin is flimsy compared to my old one. Whilst no issues with the cutting of the grass the stripes not as visible and ideally would have liked the lowest setting to cut the grass a little lower.

Always loved Flymo lawnmowers. This one didn’t let us down. Easy to move, good options for trim length. The box is decent sized so we don’t have to empty every 5 seconds! We have two small lawns. Great value mower.

Our old mower, same as this, worked for years but finally gave up the ghost. We like the stripes it gives on our lawns. We have medium size back and front lawns and this works perfectly. Think the cable is longer than the old one too and a good size grass holder.

Some of the instructions are very ambiguous using terms like left and right (doesn’t state that it is looking from the front), blade shows anti-clockwise arrows but doesn’t say if that is for tightening or loosening (should be anti clockwise to remove blade).
Grass box seems flimsy when in pieces but is fairly robust once assembled.
Decent cut once you have got it together.

Really lightweight mower with height adjuster. Got a little peep window to grass collector to check when it is time to empty. Safety controls for switching on. Long power cable but not long enough for me at 10m. Grass roller to the rear helps make stripes on tour lawn. Plastic Feels a little cheap…could be better quality but does the job well enough.

Had a very similar Flymo that my daughter borrowed. I wished that that one had a roller, central height adjust, 4m longer cable and a easy way to wrap the cable up. So I bought this. The cable could still do with being 4m longer but otherwise great. I was satisfied with my previous but this gave me almost everything I wanted by way of improvement. I just use an extender cable each time. Which does allow me to use my strimmer all the way around as well. Overall very good.

Arrived very quickly. Have now used it twice (on 2 different height settings) and find it easy to use and cuts well. Grass cuttings caught very nicely in the grass box as the design is really well thought out with the extra collection lip close to the cutting edge. Lost a star for assembly as the grass box was quite difficult to put together (really needs 3 pairs of hands) and should be made upon a soft service to prevent surface damage. Other than that, really pleased with the mower.

I would class our grassed area as medium – my husband small. Whilst it did manage quite well, it is narrower than our previous Flymo and thus meant many more trips up and down the garden – I would certainly say suitable for a small garden but not medium.

Putting the mower together itself wasn’t too bad but the grass box…. ensure you do not attempt to put this together in the presence of children, do not have any heavy object at hand that you may be tempted to throw through the nearest window and do not attempt at all if suffering from high blood pressure. Other than the fact it is quite flimsy when in two separate halves, it is practically impossible to match all the notches up together without the other half moving and not helped by the instructions warning that you must get this right as you only get one go at it. It took me a whole weekend to put the grass box together though I must admit that once I succeeded, then this is far better than the one on our old machine. It holds much more grass and is far easier to put back onto the mower after emptying as the shoot is attached to the box so automatically lines up when putting back on.

Overall – lightweight, works well but cutting blade is quite narrow – would only recommend for a small garden.

Bought to replace an earlier Flymo that died. Attaching the handle was easy, but assembling the grass box is a real pain. The top and bottom clip together, but getting all the slots together at the same time is both impossible and vocabulary expanding. Fortunately my husband decided to see if the grass box on our old machine fitted, and it does so I was able to abandon the attempt.
Once assembled it’s a good machine, easily tackling our somewhat overgrown back lawn.

I mowed grass – it seemed like the right thing to do with a lawnmower. The only problem I had was in setting the wheel height – this must match on each side of both axles or the blades dig in, the light weight can then cause it to slew off line and also to throw bits over and under the grass box – but this is a user fault, not a product fault and once I’d figured out my error it worked perfectly.

This is a great little mower, easy to use easy to change height of cut -even for me with Arthritis . We have a bigger petrol mower, too heavy for me to even turn on, so I bought this to enable me to cut the lawns when I want not when OH can find time. I cut our large lawn yesterday, no problem , even on the uneven bits ,and very easy to empty the grass out afterwards. I would recommend this to anyone struggling with a larger mower . I seriously can’t fault it!

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI chose this lawnmower initially because I always thought that Flymo was a good trusted manufacturer. As I had owned Flymo items in the 1980s, which lasted years. ( My Flymo strimmer is still going strong 40 yrs on) I was initially attracted to this one because it had a roller and my mission was to get stripes on my lawn.
When I unboxed I was surprised how flimsy it was. But nevertheless I proceeded with assembly which was very easy. Apart from the handle of the grass collection box which almost snapped as I tried to slot the handle in. this was very plasticy.
Eventually all plugged in and off I go. I checked the height of the wheels underneath (highest setting) noticed that the rear roller was plastic. Grass was pretty long (4 inches) but it coped ok. Edge to edge of grass was cut tight and neat, and mower completed the cutting great, and even. I then decided that the stripes were not that noticeable. The grass wasn’t pushed forward by the roller all that was visible was the tracks from the wheels. So I put the mower upside down and lowered the setting to medium. What a dangerous nightmare that was. Obviously after unplugging I had to yank the wheels to move them into a lower slot. How dangerous it was almost jamming my fingers in the axel as the springs are so tight. Now Medium height (3 height modes on this model) off I go again. Still no stripes. Fed up, Wound cable into floppy cable hooks,. Put mower away. One week later started again. This time on lowest cutting mode. This mode I found it too short to create stripes. But annoyingly, the mower cut out twice. I checked everything…plugs. Connection. Dead. When I turned upside down I also noticed the paint on blade was peeling off. So that was my cue to return it.

    However I give It 4 stars because…
    It’s light
    It’s easy to assemble
It’s nippy round the lawn and not an effort at all to push though any length of grass. The cable is not long but hey that’s a good thing because there’s no continual winding on the hooks. (Why can’t someone invent a cable that springs back like some vaccum cleaners?) Lolol

I have bought 300R again hoping this time it won’t go dead on me!

    Happy mowing everyone 🙂

Overall very pleased with the mower, the large grass box is excellent and the 38 cms blade cuts right up the the lawn edges. On the minus side, the length of the lead is just too short for my lawns. It would be a good idea and added value as well as a necessary safety device’ to fit as standard, an anti surge plug, just in case you accidentally ran over the live lead.
Delivery was a nightmare, I received an ‘Electric Fan’ instead of the ‘Lawn Mower’ and had to send it back before being able to take delivery of my original order. This all took over three weeks, which is highly unsatisfactory.

All good for a small average lawn but downside the settings do not allow a shorter cut and of coarse if you wish to have stripes not the machine to have. The service of delivery excellent and the packaging. Did suggest to the manufacture to supply two screw on brackets one for each spare of the handles so you could wind the power cable on when storing.. With two jubilee clips and two door coat hangers modified my own. Yes quite running.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersWas very easy to assemble, no tools required. It is so light you can pick it up with one hand and go for a little walk to the end of your garden.
Good for small to medium gardens. Gets pretty close to the fence, though you will still need a strimmer.
Very easy to manoeuvre around the garden, had no problems going up and down the garden with it.
The wheels have adjustable height, so depending on how short or long you want your grass, just turn the mower blade up (unplug from mains first) and pull then push each wheel to where you want it. Please make sure all wheels are on the same height else you will have a wobbly lawn mower. (Mistake I made) . End result a very tidy cut lawn.

The grass box seems very flimsy it takes a steady hand to line each half up and snap together, would not advice a heavy hand. But once you have connected the two halves, it fits very easy to the back of the mower, just lift the flap at the back, clip the grass box on and let the flap rest on the box. And you are good to go

Lawn mower was very easy to clean after, i used a small hand brush to get behind the blade and in the little gaps and clean off the wheels. .
As I don’t have a shed at the moment I store the mower in the box it arrived in. Just folded down the handles and put back in the box with the grass box on top.
    Happy gardening.

The only problem we encountered was moving the wheel positions for grass cutting. The Springs were so strong and the space to manoeuvre so small that it took two of us to put the bar in the correct position but once that was sorted we were off and cutting.
    Good value for the money.

I used the lawnmower for the first time today.
It was easy enough to assemble, although the grass box was a bit fiddly.
I think I have underestimated the size of my garden. Or maybe its because its the first cut of the season, but the grass box needed emptying a lot.
I don’t like the start safety button in the middle, it’s a bit awkward. I noticed the blade was blunted after use. This was from going over stones, so check your lawn for debris before use.
It was light weight and cut the grass ok, and was relatively cheap.
I’ll see if it lasts the summer. Fingers crossed.

Easy to put together despite reviews. Very lightweight and good value. I would recommend it.

Perfect for a small lawn, like the fact that it mows up to the edges….no need for a strimmer anymore. Small, compact, does a good job.

I borrowed one these from my son and liked it so much I bought one. I’ve given my old hover mower away, which collected the cuttings but equally made a mess. I still need a broom but nowhere near as much. This mower cuts right up the edges against fences and our rotary dryer, no need for a seperate trimmer. It’s lightweight and pretty quiet as well.

Found the product a little difficult to assembly, grass box, easy to push. Cuts well including along sides. A lot less effort to use than my previous lawn mower. Grass box needs emptying more frequently. Glad I decided to purchase it.

A bit fiddly to get the handles on and the instructions booklet was no ikea leaflet and was even more vaugue than that but got there i. The end taking around 15 – 20 minutes to hit the ground running. No grass was left on the lawn and it all went into the grass box which is an optional add on feature. I dont know why I thought it hand fold down handles for packing away but it is quite light and very easy to use. My little garden looks a treat and it left stripes looking

Quick and easy to put together (the grass box was a little tricky where it’s seems quite flimsy i thought it was going to snap when i was trying to clip it together). Much more powerful than my previous mower, even tackled my very neglected front lawn with out getting blocked up all the time. Perfect for my needs and cut well.

If you want the fastest mower which will produce football out h stripes then this is not for you. But if you are looking for an inexpensive lawnmower which cuts all but extremely long grass then this will do the job

Overall a great product, we have quite a small garden, but just using a strimmer was too much work for the results.

Despite it being lightweight, he lacks a little in movement, but I put this down to being wheels as apposed to not having them.

The 3 length settings are perfect, but I find the largest space between the blade and wheels is the perfect fit for British lawns.

It is a really easy to use lawnmower and is just right for my medium sized garden. The grass collecting box can hold plenty of grass and I would recommend it. I just found when changing the cutting heights on the wheels, a little hard.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersNeeded a mower as I just moved house and this seemed to fit the bill. It’s easy to assemble although prepare to get some bruises putting the grass box together! When I looked closer at the state of my very overgrown, wet lawn, it resembled a ploughed field more than a bowling green and I wondered if this little mower would be up to the job. I have to say that it coped extremely well – would definitely recommend!

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersEasy to use mower bought for an older female who has problems with arthritis and was frustrated at not being able to cut the grass herself! She is really pleased as this mower is much easier than a hovermo or some similar product that she had previously. It gave her some independence and joy of her garden back after a few years! It is still a bit weighty but she is able to use it.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI only have small grassed areas and so far has done what it’s supposed to without any hassle. Grass box is bigger than my last one which is a bonus. I’ve seen some negative comments about assembling the grass collection box, this is mystifying. It took this clumsy oaf about a minute.
Like any electrical product, it remains to be seen whether it will still be around in a couple of years. Right now I’m very happy with it.

Don’t know how I put up with my old lawnmower for so long. Constant blocked hole, grass flying everywhere and not making it into the grass box. This thing is brilliant. Goes with ease. Bought with wheels as we have an uneven garden and it is just a pleasure to push. I genuinely can’t find a fault with it. Picks up the grass easily. Simple to empty (no fiddling about with getting the grass box to stay on) my only niggle is that it is quite long so takes a lot of space in the shed and could do with a longer wire. An extention sorts that problem though.

It gets the job done quite nicely. I mean, it’s a lawn mower. It cuts grass and it does that just fine. It’s easy enough to mow up and down the lawn. However, one of the front wheels occasionally gets jammed and there’s an odd rattling sound that comes from it when it’s switched on (I checked the blade and it’s very secure). The cable is also much too short. So make sure you have an extension lead, or two, handy.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersI have a small bit of lawn. This is perfect. The cord is long enough to reach out to my little patch, and there is quite a lot of extra cord that needs winding whilst mowing, not a problem, just pointing out, long cord. I haven’t measured it and will not be doing so. Any questions technical please ask seller. If you want to know does it cut the grass, yes and the cutting collection bin took all my patch before filling up. It’s lightweight too. Happy me.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersWhen it arrived (very quickly) and I opened the box, my heart sank a little. It looked so small and almost toylike.
But it is a brilliant machine and extraordinarily value for money at 56. It has three settings, 6cm, 4cm and 2cm
and cuts cleanly and thoroughly even quite long grass. It si great for the 2-3 foot verge outside our hedge, which has had
the best cut ever – I used to use a strimmer but this is perfect for the job.
Can’t recommend it too highly (ps I don’t work for Flymo or Amazon!)

This little lawnmower does the job and grass is cut nicely. The mower is relatively easy to assemble the only challenge for me is to adjust cutting level, it is not easy to do for a woman and in addition both front and rear wheels have to be adjusted. That is why I am giving this mower 4 stars instead of five.

Cuts really well and has the power to deal with longer grass. Metal blade makes this so much better than plastic bladed mowers. Only problem is when the grass is being collected by the basket, there is an imbalance of weight which means if you leave the mower it will fall back so the front wheels are up in the air. No big problem, just keep on mowing and tip out the grass when the basket it full.

Was a little bit concerned when I first opened the box at the flimsey nature of some of the plastic parts, but I needed have worried. Once the product is put together it really is quite sturdy. The grass box has an amazing capacity, although it would have been nice to have some indication of when it is full. Being able to adjust the height of the cut by raising and lowering the wheels is much better than on my last mower where I had to add and remove spacers. Decent first cut using the new blade, remains to be seen how it cuts after the blade has been used for a few weeks of use.

Easy to assemble, very good value for money and does the job well !

My girlfriend was saying that the mower was too small for the garden but she was soon proved wrong (again).

I was done cutting the grass in double quick time and I hate doing the garden.

Overall very pleased with this purchase as I can now spend my time going to the football at Wembley this weekend instead of wasting my time in the garden. I just need someone to paint the fence for me now and steal our dog (which pi**es on the floor daily, or worse) and i’ll be a happy chap.

So, 5 stars to this Flymo. Go on treat yourself to one.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersGood item for the money….. nice and light which was what I wanted and easy to manage. We haven’t had the weather for a good test yet – but looks good.
If I have any criticism it is that the grass-box is unnecessarily clumsy to put together. It comes in two parts, and the top fits to the bottom by 10 clips situated INSIDE the box!! This is a design fault which needs addressing. (The air was blue in my house!)
Excellent carrier……. quick and efficient delivery.
