I didn’t expect this to cut sloping ground and lumps and bumps and about 1foot long grass. I am a 74 year old female, and we have an orchard on sloping land with uneven surfaces. We have always used a strimmer and racked up the loose clippings. Using this amazing machine I cut everything and didn’t have to clear up the grass clipping. It was definitely designed for this kind of work. I am also 8 stone and the weight I could handle, but I am not shy of hard work anyway. I have never used one of these machine before, thank you from a pleased customer.
Totally awesome mower – better than I expetced, very lightweight and easy to move just glides. I could push the mower with one hand if needs be.
One little issue the folding mechanism (handles) is not as robust as other flymo mowers it feels flimsy but this is only when folding. Def would recommend this produc
It doesn’t exactly “float on it’s own cushion of air” – you have to push this thing forward in lines.
The cable is really short (you’ll more-than-likely) need to purchase a separate extension cord for it and bend-down to keep moving the cable out of the way, as you go along).
For an electric mower, it’s probably one of the best you’ll get, it’s powerful and cuts really well and is fairly simple to set up although I’d imagine a 24Volt Rechargeable version would be much simpler and better.
Quite happy with the purchase but slightly disappointment by the brand’s selling-promise that it would “hover effortlessly”.
To be honest, my old petrol mower was actually easier to push on it’s wheels so I’m tempted to buy another petrol mower instead of constantly wrestle with electrical cables as I still need to push this thing along. I have a large garden to mow, so probably not the best product to try for my purpose, but I thought it would be mush easier to push along than it actually is.
Probably great for small gardens so I’ll recommend it – they really should change the wording though – it does not float on it’s own cushion of air and is not really easy to push, it has small plastic wheels on the front and it requires the same force to push forwards whether it’s switched on or off.
I was a little disappointed that the mower did not glide as easily as I had hoped. I find it quite hard work. I also felt the cutting blade was flimsy and although sharp could be easily damaged by a stone or similar..
In broad general terms this Flymo is exactly what I wanted and I’m happy with it. However there is one issue that I should mention. When it is in use, grass cuttings tend to accumulate around an air vent in the body of the mower. I would describe the air vent is like a grill in the plastic body. The thought occurs to me that if grass cuttings were to penetrate the grill and get inside, there’s no real way of opening the body to clean them out. Otherwise, the mower is performing well.
It glides and cuts well. I prefer the hover to wheels. Far superior to my old Bosch Rotak 32 R. Which broke and was unable to get the replacement part without buying a new motor which was nearly as expensive as the mower itself.
We had just moved house and left our old petrol mower behind. Our new house has a pocket handkerchief lawn and this is just thd job for it. The grass was quite long and I thought it would struggle but it powered through it no problem. Also no grass clippings to dispose of although the first cut left clumps as it was so long.
Cable a nuisance.I fitted an in – line plug and socket.
If you can live without grass collection is would thoroughly recommend.
Down banks, under bulbous bushes, those narrow bits between unmovable objects such as trees and shed etc.
Certainly a good value mower which is manoeuverable on its cushion of air even for an old **** like me.
Unusually there was no list of components, the usual thing is to check everything that should be there is in the packaging. You have to guess that everything is complete. No real instructions at all although they are fairly easy to put together but it would be helpful to have have some pictures showing where the pieces fitted. Anyhow, it’s quiet and works well .
Not as easy to use as my last Flymo, does’nt seem to hover as much, and not as easy to use on awkward areas of the garden.
Bought to enable my son to cut the grass – I have arthritis and it hurts mow the lawn – He seems quite happy or in any event he has not complained to me and does a good job
I found this machine quite heavy to move about when trying to assemble it. The parts were all present but as a small elderly lady I found the manipulation needed to fix the lower handle into position , alone, a real struggle. I managed to fix the upper handle in place by propping it up on a cupboard door while wrestling with the screw that needed to be forced into a square hole with some serious welly. I could not undo the blade to insert the spacers at all and will have to call on a burly man to do that for me…unbelievably tight. When I turned the motor on to check that the engine was working the mower nearly escaped my grip…very powerful.
have not been able to use yet but product looks very sturdy
We have a petrol mower which is difficult to start, then I bought a hover mower with box grass collector, as our garden is on a slope this was hard work for elderly people, I read reviews and although this was the more expensive it is worth every penny, it doesnt pick up the grass but that is ok it keeps the lawn down for the winter very well pleased with this purchase.

Our garden is large and hilly this machine is perfect.
Not disappointed.
Super happy after being very unhappy with my old lawn mower, power is definitely a game changer and very nessesary . We have an extremely large grass area about 2 tennis courts and ideal need a petrol mower. However I thought I’d give this a try at 1800w it’s a good price for a plug in.
Not disappointed.
I had to send my Flymo Turbo 400 back under warranty as the drive belt was delaminating at the edge. I wanted a direct replacement but it is no longer available, so I bought the Simpliglide 360. I was a bit reluctant to buy it because of the rollers as I thought it would stop me swinging the Flymo from side-to-side (essential on a steep slope). However, there seemed to be no suitable replacement, so I bought it. I was pleasantly surprised that the rollers don’t noticeably interfere with swinging the Flymo sideways and they do help to stop the front of the skirt digging in when facing a slope, and can be used for transporting. The engine seems more powerful and quieter than my 400. So I’m glad I bought it as a replacement!
The handle connectors are weak and one fell off so replaced it with a bolt from my previous mower. Not as wide a cut as I would of liked but easy to use.
Does what they say it does. Good clean, sharp cut but could have done with a larger blade. Otherwise well satisfied.
I have not used this mower as it was a present, however based on my experience of Flymo over many years I can say they are excellent.
Bought to replace our 15 year old Flymo there is one feature that is not as good. The cable being permanently attached to the machine makes it awkward to store. If the cable is accidentally cut it would be a big job to get it replaced. Also the length of the cable is not great. Our old one was nearly twice as long.
It was very easy to attach the handle and add a spacer. It folds easily once you discover how to do it!
All in all it is a good mower if you don’t compare it to a previous model.

It’s a nice mower but heavier than l expected but it does the job.
How wrong we were. It wasn’t an equivalent, it was a significant upgrade! So much lighter on the move, a more powerful motor, less prone to clogging up around the motor area, chomps through long grass like a knife through butter, it has significantly reduced the amount of time needed to mow our lawn. Only slight downside is the mains leads is no longer detachable or replaceable should one damage the cable, however, this is the only downside we can think of. Available for only 110 at the time of this review, provided a collector box and fancy stripes don’t bother you, this mower is a bargain for the money which should provide years of loyal service.

Cuts well and easily but unlike my previous flymo there doesn’t seem to be any way to get the hood off to clean the filter. The instructions just say brush the grill but I can still see bits of grass inside
This mower is just the right size for our garden. Cuts really well.
Positiv: Hlt was er verspricht! Super leicht Fhrung ber dem Rasen.
Negativ: Motor berhitzt sehr schnell (vielleicht liegt’s an unseren sommerlichen Temperaturen?) Habe die Haube etwas modifiziert – Motor bekommt jetzt mehr Luft und berhitzt nicht mehr!
Very light and easy to put together. Very happy with purchase
Like the mower I knew what I wanted and this mower met my needs
Excellent product. Easy to use and cuts the grass which is all that is required.
Makes a good job of the grass even on a sloping and uneven lawn, and is relatively easy to manoeuvre – although I wouldn’t say that it is particularly lightweight – fine if you are reasonably fit.
However, the design of the handle is a disaster – when folded there is no way to secure it to the body of the mower, Combined with the difficulty of getting a grip on the mower to carry it, the folded handle tends to flop around uncontrollably – this is doubly the case if the handle is folded in half. My simple solution is to add an elastic cord as shown in the attached pictures – but I would have expected Flymo to come up with a better design.
Light to use, easy to assemble , gets in all the nooks and crannies.
Easy to use but I should have checked instead of assuming they all have grass collectors
All as promised. We bought this to tackle an overgrown orchard area. It is coping well.
Not finished garden yet because of the weather but still did the front until I was stopped by the rain it chomps fast through thick grass good value
Fulfils all the promises on the box. Well packed and quickly delivered.
Features a 1800W Motor and a 36cm Cutting Width
Relatively lightweight and Folds Flat for easy storage.
Works amazing on a flat lawn with short grass so keeping on top of a well maintained lawn is a doddle with this gadget.
My only gripe is I have a fence down one side of my lawn and this mower won’t cut right upto it so have to use a strimmer in order to Finnish the job.
Features a manual 4 stage adjustable blade and 10m power Cable, some assembly is required when new.
Hovers very well making it easy to use on uneven grass. Great buy, very happy!!

What did surprise me is the way that you need to change the cutting height. You are supplied with some large plastic spacers and a plastic spanner. You need to remove the cutting blade, insert one, two or three spacers and replace the blade using the supplied spanner (see pictures). This is not quick and easy and might be difficult for anyone not used to pulling things apart or without much strength in their hands.
I added two spacers to get a lower cut. The next thing that surprised me is that the mover doesn’t float on air as much as you would think. Despite being called “SimpliGlide” I found that it took some effort to use the mower, more effort than the one I have with wheels, especially over uneven ground. I also found that the mower won’t cut close to obstacles so you will need to get your strimmer out to finish off.
So the pros I’ve found with this mower are:
Quick to get out and get mowing
Easy to fold up and store
Cuts the grass okay including quite long grass
The cons are:
Not as easy to push as I had expected
Doesn’t collect the grass and in fact it tends to blow it around (I think all hover mowers do this)
Doesn’t cut up to the edge when against a fence or other obstacle
Not easy to change the cutting height
In summary, if you have limited storage space and if you want a quick way to cut the front lawn and aren’t bothered about collecting the grass then this mower might be the right one for you.
