This is a running watch for people who want to track their running. Not people who want to check the NASDAQ on a tiny screen while climbing mount Everest etc. The screen is on continuously so don’t have to wave your arm about to get it to show on. It is really simple to use and the display is HUGE. I bought an Amazfit watch which I had to send back as it was completely useless, but this has absolutely everything you need to track your runs, bike rides, heart rates and download them to your PC. If I had designed a running watch with all the facilities I wanted I couldn’t come up with anything better than this. Well done Garmin!

I bought the Garmin 35 to replace my ancient Forerunner 205 as a running watch. I have been really surprised to see how much the Forerunner has improved. It is now a sleek and comfortable watch with a good battery life that I have taken to wearing most of the time, not just when running.
As well as recording running the Forerunner 35 has a good heart rate meter built in and even monitors my sleep. It is a really good running watch at a reasonable price.

Ich habe lange recherchiert, was Sinn macht, was ich brauche, was es gibt.

This watch has been absolutely brilliant.
I bought this on August 2018, along with a transparent screensaver which kept the screen in great shape (I’m still on the first screen saver although I bough a pack of 2).
Last year the strap holder tore apart, and I had to buy a replacement. It was very easy to find online, and allowed me to keep using the watch without the strap being loose.
Battery life still lasts for ages even today. It lasts so long that I don’t really know how often I charge it – my guess is around a week or even longer.

I highly recommend this especially for runners, although I’d imagine there might be better models that came up since I bought this. Only fault I found with this watch is that it categorises my tennis workouts as swimming, but since I’m mostly a runner I don’t mind this inaccuracy.

Three years later - this watch is still grea

Like the bright colour of the strap. Functions are easy to use. Monitors heart rate which is useful. Mainly use this for logging my running activities and I link it to the app on my phone which gives greater detail on your exercise activity.

I really love this watch. I have gone from the GPS fitbit to this. Even though the fitbit is the latest model there is absolutely no comparison to this (and its about 70 cheaper!).

It’s not too chunky on my wrist, it syncs to my phone quickly, the heart rate is accurate and the GPS is pretty quick to connect and seems accurate.

The step count doesn’t seem very accurate. On my fitbit I was doing 10k steps a day easily. On the Garmon, I’m doing a lot less steps…. My Phone and my fitbit were pretty similar when counting the steps however the Garmin doesn’t seem nearly as accurate.

Great GPS not so great at counting steps

Battery life is around 6 days so far with Bluetooth turned on long enough to upload activity. Indications are clear which is essential for eysight which is less acute than it used to be. Accuracy of GPS is better than my old Forerunner 305 and HR monitor seems accurate. Info compiled on Connect is extensive. If you have a problem with Bluetooth uploading to Connect, delete all activity records on watch except those which have not been uploaded and try again. I’ve used the watch for about twenty activities as well as all day use and so far I am quite pleased.

I bought this as a replacement for my wife’s Forerunner 30, on which the strap broke. There seems to be a fault with some of these Garmin’s, the strap failed on her 30 within a few weeks of purchase and was replaced by Garmin, then failed again and was replaced with a compatible version. Now the actual bracket on the body of the watch has broken off, meaning it can no longer be replaced, hence this upgrade.

So the 35 is a bit of a step up, but not much. It has some nice new features such as a cycling option, which is useful, especially for a runner who does like to take her cycle out from time to time. She also likes the lap feature on the display which she says is useful. It seems to sync quite quickly with her mobile too, an added bonus. A minor downside is that it was only available in black and the deal price.

I thought the price was pretty good, she actually paid less for the 35 than she’d paid for the 30 a couple of years or so ago. If the strap holds out on this one it will have been a good buy.

Had this watch for almost two years now. Never had any problems with it. It holds its charge for quite sometime. If I do a few runs in a week it’ll need charging once a week. So far it’s been great and done what it’s supposed to. The strap was replaced a couple of months ago due to the rubber hoop that holds the strap in place snapped off. Easily replaced the strap.

This is my first GPS running watch and I’m very pleased I bought it. I had some initial difficulty pairing with my heart rate strap, phone and iPad, but this is now resolved. I’ve been using the custom heart rate zone alert for MAF training, and have cadence and pace showing on the same screen. All this is fairly easy to set and fulfils my current need. I’m impressed by the data collected and viewable on the Garmin Connect free App. What also surprised me was the amount of information about daily activity such as sleep pattern and resting heart rate also collected. This has resulted in me wearing the watch all day rather than just for running as I had intended. In this respect the strap is very comfortable albeit the design of the face not the most attractive. This watch has more functions than I’m likely to use, and I can’t imagine requiring anything more expensive.

Garmin Forerunner 35 is the perfect choice to accompany you on runs and other outdoor adventures. It represents superb value for money.

The Forerunner 35 offers more or less everything you’d want from a sports watch. It can track running, cycling and walking via GPS and there’s also a mode for indoor activity. Like all Garmin’s fitness wearables, it’ll also count your steps, calories burned, “intensity minutes” and distance travelled throughout the day. An optical heart-rate monitor keeps tabs on your pulse both during exercise and at rest; wear it overnight and it’ll log your time spent in different sleep stages.

There’s also a few specialist running features that not all GPS-enabled trackers offer: you can set a virtual pacer, and track your cadence (step count per minute) as you run. Pair it with your phone and the Forerunner 35 delivers notifications to your wrist, and syncs all of your fitness data to the Garmin Connect app, where you can spend hours poring over it.

Smartwatches, fitness trackers and sports watches come in a wide range of shapes and sizes. The Fitbit Flex is sleek and tough, but it could easily be mistaken for a friendship bracelet. At the other end of the scale, there’s the elegant Apple Watch 4, which also includes a generous 44mm screen — if you’re willing to pay.

In this market, the Forerunner 35 is somewhat within its own category. It’s a very basic-looking device, but I find this quite agreeably understated — less is more, as they say. The square shape also sits nicely on the wrist, so it’s comfortable to wear. The front is taken up by a compact 23.5mm screen; this is only monochrome, but it’s sharp enough to clearly show your incoming messages.

    Pros
    -Cheap
    -Excellent GPS tracking
    -Long battery life
    -Supports ANT+ sensors

    Cons
    -No swim tracking
-Lacks newer features such as stress tracking

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI like the screen layout, ease of use, and ability to integrate with Nike Run Club. I also like the ability to get software updates from my PC and the GPS sensors are on point. I recommend the Forerunner 35 to anyone who is trying to lose weight or lead a healthy lifestyle.

I will like the product to integrate directly with Google Fit. For that integration to work, I had to download a separate app to send the Garmin data to Google Fit.

I really liked this device as a very basic fitness tracking device. Found it to be efficient and relatively accurate. But it is very basic.
It is not a smart phone. It’s very good for what it is, very simple to set up and use which suited me but I am totally NOT clued up on latest devices and not confident setting these sorts of things up but I found this even too basic for my needs so returned it and upgraded to the Garmin VENU which is (in my humble opinion) absolutely fantastic!

I bought this watch in Feb 2018. Still going strong and would definately recommend it. Easy to use and link to Garmin connect online and Strava. I have just had to replace the strap a couple of times through wear and tear. Can use for cardio, walking, cycling and running. I use it for running. It has various useful modes to help motivate and track performance. Had a forerunner 10 before this which I liked but this is worth the extra cost.

Amazon impeccabile come sempre.

My old VivoSmart was getting on so I decided to replace it with the Forerunner.
I wanted to keep all my historic sleep and other tracking data so kept with Garmin.

Initially I was dissapointed that unlike my VivoSmart it wasnt touch screen.
As I’ve come to wear the watch the fact it isn’t touch screen doesn’t seem to be a problem.
The watch works as well as my VivoSmart, was cheaper and I kept all my historic tracking data.

Battery life is around 8 days.
I generally charge it as it get to the last bar rather than have it run out during the day whilst I’m out.
Good buy and a god replacement for my VivoSmart for the features I used.
