Gutted it only lasted just under 2 years. However I let the company know about the product now not working. I sent across a video of the issue and it was resolved very quickly with a new base posted out straight away. Let’s hope it lasts longer than 2 years lol
Love this, has made my echo portable, so can use it in the bathroom or outside on patio.. Battery life is good too, well worth the money and so easy to charge..

I had one of these for and older generation Echo Dot so I bought this when I upgraded. It’s perfect for adding portability to the Echo Dot which I use in my bathroom and garage
Loved my battery base as it made my Echo Dot portable.
Lasted well but had an issue with it after a year. Asked GGMM’s advice – they provided excellent customer service, responded well to my questions, and issued me with a new updated battery base, which arrived two days earlier than expected! Extremely pleased and grateful! Thanks GGMM and Cynthia.

I bought this so I could use my dot a little more freely. It works well for what you need. The battery is good for a couple of hours though wouldn’t last a whole day. Keeps all the functionality of the dot with none of the limitations of wiring.
Only flaw is that when you switch from wired to battery (by pulling the wire out) the switch isn’t as clean as I would like. The dot loses power momentarily and essentially has to “restart” so it takes about 15-20 seconds before you can use. Not a deal breaking but annoying. But certainly if you don’t mind that slight issue then would recommend this as a great accessory.
This has been the best product I have purchased in a long time especially given the run of gorgeous weather. No longer do I have to blast amazon music so that it reaches the bottom of the garden annoying the neighbours I can now take the music with me and play what I want and an acceptable noise level. I was so impressed I bought one for my parents who haven’t stopped raving about it and how long the battery lasts.
Good product making the dot more portable use mine when cleaning the inside of the car could listen to music from the car suund system but it’s set to turn off so the battery doesn’t run down plus you can control the dot with voice commands.
My WiFi reaches easily all around my house and garden but with a bit of time and effort you can tether to your dot to mobile and use your mobile data
If you’re already happy with the sound of “the dot” then this is fine for you as there is no diminishment in sound quality caused by attaching this. As of yet I have not worked out how long the battery will last, but as I use it when in the garden, I doubt I would be needing it for more than a few hours anyhow. I also don’t know yet how long it takes to recharge to full power.

I had a problem with the product not working after 8 months, I contacted the supplier and they organised a replacement without any fuss.
Great addition to the dot, enabling my daughter to move it from room to room with her without having to keep finding a plug. She only listens to music on it really – aspiring to be a singer! My reason for 4 stars is the battery life isn’t as long as I would expect. It lasts maybe 3 hours on volume 4. I expected it to last at least 8 hours so you could get a day out of it but maybe I’m expecting too much?
All in all, my 6 year old is pleased and that’s all that matters
Great addition to make your dot remote, however when you unplug the power supply it doesn’t just switch over to the battery mode it turns it off and restarts so slightly annoying. Overall looks great and does last average 7/8ish hours.
Excellent battery base for echo dot, Im surprised they dont sell them together. It is so nice and sleek and makes the little dot portable, what more to want?! Moreover GGMM has excellent service and support, I had issue with my base few months after purchase, I emailed them and one of the consultant Sylvie replied swiftly and resolved my issues straight away. I highly recommend their products.
Really pleased with this product the sound is great and having the ability to move it around freely is perfect. The unit started to buzz after a few months so contacted the seller and they offered a replacement straight away. Very good customer service
I just dislike the fact when you switch from electric ,to battery, the product switches off. otherwise it is brilliant you can walk around the house and garden with the music and radio playing away ,,without loosing volume or reception ..
I liked the simplicity of the fit around the Dot. There is nothing to do except put the dot into it and that’s it. It works as stand alone unit for @ 6 hours. No real negatives I’d have liked 8 hours life and would have been happy to accept a bigger module and increased price but this does deliver so overall I’m pleased with this and would recommend.
I have two Echos one permanently downstairs in a sitting room and the other on the battery base upstairs for occasional use. The Echo dot on the battery base I use when I want the convenience of using it anywhere in the house or garden.
I knew nothing about this product until a friend recommended it to me. Well, it’s brilliant. I can carry it around the house with me and no longer need trailing wires. I have never had the battery die on me. I don’t like the bright blue lights in the bedroom at night, but that’s just me. I plug it in again in the morning. Couldn’t be happier.

As long as your WiFi connection is strong enough for where you want to place it it is brilliant.
Battery life is excellent. I played it at just over half volume and it lasted well over the advertised length of time.
I just recieved my echo dot battery base today and i know its rechargeable, however I was surprised when I open the box and there is no charging cable with this item. My new echo dot does not arrive until tomorrow afternoon so at the moment I cannot recharge this base. so a little disapointed.
It’s great having a tool device that let’s you move the echo around the way you could with an earlier echo and a backup battery pack.
The fit isn’t perfect, and the top clamp doesn’t perfectly line up with the + button
I would also love it if the battery was charged via USB-C instead of the original power supply, as that would make it a little bit more useful.
This is a great addition to my Echo Dot, we can now take it to any room in the house and also in the garden. The only draw back is how good your WiFi is. The unit is very well made and looks good, the battery has lasted for seven hours and still had some charge left. I like the idea that you leave the Dot in it all the time, keeping it fully charged and just unplug it when you need to move it to another location. I can highly recommend this battery base unit.
Generally good product but I’d expect it to last longer. Even if not using the device the battery runs out in one day. Yet – at its best – it allows you to take your dot anywhere!
The Battery came earlier than expected. It only took 4 working days, although it arrives from China.
As for the product itslef, it is by far the best battery for the Echo Dot 3rd Gen.
Unlike other products that conceal the Echo, of which I have tested a couple, this one doesnt affect the sound quaility. I’ve been using it 3-4 hours a day, mainly for music, and it lasted 3 days with one charge.
If you own a 3rd Gen Echo, you need to purchase a battery for it and this is the best choice on Amazon.
