It was pretty easy once you figure it out. Did have a couple of pieces put on backwards from manufacturing but we was able to fix it.

Update to below. I think the tent must have got lost during its return but I have now had a refund. I’m going to buy another one as it suits my kids perfectly and is so easy to put up and take down and pack away

The zip to the door flap of the tent was broken. I returned the tent on the understanding that I woul receive a refund so I could buy a new one but now I have no tent and I have lost over 100. I contacted Amazon but have heard nothing. So sad. The tent is a great design but I was sold a dream. I got this tent for my kids but it is not fit for purpose and unsafe for them as the door would not zip up.

I recently became disabled so was looking for a tent that was easy to put up, had enough room for myself and my partner and my mobility scooter, this ticked all the boxes there was room for 2 camp beds and my scooter, is waterproof and really 8s the easiest tent I’ve ever put up in 36 years of camping.

Material is not super cheap but definitely not high quality, will need extra protection for rain but since I was setup for just one clear night I didn’t bother. It was unbelievably easy to put up on my own as well as taking down and getting back in the bag. It’s light and the poles are extend and retract as well as having joints that allow them to fold. Good design. I am 5’5″ and found it easy to move around inside even with a double high queen mattress. I do wish it was 10×10 instead of 8×8 if I were to camp in it for a week. The only real downside I had thoughts about was the window…it is flapped and zipped on the outside so if you want airflow you have to get out of the tent to do so.

I had to remove the plastic fittings from the bottom of the extending legs to extend said legs as far too tight with them in place. They clipped back on once extended no problems. Other than this good little te

I have never camped before and i am
Working away at a festival so needed somthing pretty quick, the tent is absolutely fantastic very easy to put up and take down, very spacious and very water proof, the only issue i had was there was 3 what appeared to ve knife slashs in the roof of the tent, i couldnt send back due to needing it there and then i just put some gaffer tape over the slits but other than that the tent is grea

    Exactly how its explained

Wirklich sehr intuitiv.

Writing this review while sleeping in the tent in a thunder storm.. Just experienced the worst thunder storm I had been in my entire life I never realised thunder storms could be this bad in the UK. The tent is pitched on higher ground but just 5 meters away, a puddle with water up to 6 inch was forming. While the side walls are dry to the touch, the floor is not entirely waterproof and this is why the tent gets four star instead of five.

We have put a poncho on top of the tent to make it extra water proof but as the wall are also dry to the touch, it does feel like the tent is water proof. However there are some water in the floor that has sipped through the seams of the floor. Photo has been attached to show what I mean.

It was so windy and the tent held up well in the wind, so for light rain and high winds (which is most of UK weather), I’m confident that the tent will hold up well.

    Set up
The tent is very easy to set up and take down. It takes minutes to do both and can be done alone.

We have a double bed air mattress and we have room on the side to put all our bags in there. If you just put a mat roll with sleeping bag, 4 people would be snug in the tent. With a double bed air matress I would say max capacity is 2 people for the tent.

    Good te

Good size for 2 adults with room for a table in between without tripping over things. Height is a big plus too.

Definitely worth the price! Me and my boyfriend was hunting for a tent that was quite open and tall enough to stand up in as we got really bad back ache in the old tent, this one is brilliant! and to top it all off..
We got it out to test it in the garden and couldn’t believe it when the poles were pre installed and all we needed to do was extend them and it was set up!!! Took less than 5 minutes to set up and 5 minutes to take down!! Brilliant!! My parents are coming camping too and were so impressed they bought a larger version of this one!

    Wow!!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI bought this product to use on various motorbike rallies I am attending this year. As promised it arrived the next day so pitched it in the garden to make sure it was all there and in working order. Left it up overnight as heavy rain was expected. The next morning after 6 hours of heavy rain I checked the tent and found it bone dry inside! I am very pleased and looking forward to using it for real. My only bug bear was the “bagged size” was advertised as 38.5 inches and it turned out to be 41.5 inches not a problem in a car but a bit of an issue on a motorbike but not a major headache.

    Very Pleased

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI got this tent to have something I could easily set up by myself, and for a spring/summer tent. Just used it last weekend. It is very easy to setup. We had a lot of strong wind the whole weekend and it held up surprisingly well. I also water tested it at home prior to use, and the inside stayed dry. It is a good size for one or 2 people with cots or one full size blowup bed. The only things I would improve would be maybe more than one window, and also had to order canopy poles separately. I am happy with my purchase.

Setting up was nearly as easy as a popup tent and putting away was easier then the last popup tent I help with 5mins each way max. The tent was roomie and at 6’2″ the tent was tall enough that I could stand well enough to get dressed.

A pleasure to camp in and very simple to assemble and secure properly if you have two people. A bit of a challenge to put up straight with just one person. Great protection against the elements and comfortable to sleep in. I love the porch because it protects our shoes so we can leave them outside. A tough fabric. Waterproof material that is good quality. Just rinse with hose and leave out to dry. Does well in a light wind situation. Plenty of room inside for cots etc.

If you need to go camping.. AND you need a tent for the family.. AND you want a patio.. this is your tent!

Setup is quick, and easy – it has a rain fly and a covered patio which is a major bonus when out with the family for things like diaper changes or a quick reprieve from the elements without being stuck inside.

I absolutely love this tent and you will too!

Just took this tent for camping on a fairly cold night- there was some condensation but I think most tents will have a little during this weather. Lots of space for 2 single mattresses with a walkway around the beds- I do like the option of the front door awning. I did place a tarp over the top of the tent to keep tent a little warmer so didn’t get a chance to use it in the rain. I like how fast I can put up and take down the tent- it’s worth spending more on instant tents.

We have owned quite a few tents of this size in the past, and this one is definitely one of our favorites, after sleeping in it many times, but there are quite a few positives and negatives to point out.

    POSITIVES

+ Quick Setup: Honestly, we have never had a tent that set up this quickly! The biggest single difference here is that the poles never get detached from the tent. Rather, you telescope them in/out. I set this tent up myself in less than 5 minutes for sure, with no cursing involved. If it’s possible for setting up a tent to be a joy, this is it. Kudos for an amazing engineering feat. Taking it down is just as easy. I have it packed up in less than 5 minutes myself.

+ Low Tension on Zippers: It seems like so often tents have too much tension in the fabric around the zippers. This causes the zippers to be forced open or closed, and eventually the zippers are wrecked. That’s not the case here. The tent does not tug where the door zips up, and I have never feared that the zippers were going to get damaged. Meanwhile, our last tent ultimately ended up in the trash because the last of the zippers gave out.

+ Rainfly-Free Design: Rainflies are a pain, in my opinion. This tent does not have one. Rather, the tent is designed to keep the water out without a rainfly. Ingenious. One less thing to set up!

+ Handy Inner Pockets Below Window: The inner pocket panel, which is removable, mounts below the window inside. It has lots of space for storing things, and it works great.

    NEGATIVES

    – Questionable Ventilation: Unlike tents that have rainflies that allow for large sections of the tent underneath to be open for ventilation, this tent has only 1 door and 1 window. Those are the only way you will get ventilation into this tent. So far, we have done only indoor camping (yes, we set up this tent in the family room of our home, because it’s winter in Minnesota!), and we haven’t had a chance to test how this tent would work with the sun hitting it or even just in warmer temps in the shade. Hopefully it will get enough ventilation.

    – Deep Basin Trip Hazard: The bottom of the tent has the typical design where the floor of the tent wraps around to where the zipper is located for the door to enter the tent. However, this floor wraps around further/higher before you get to the zipper. That means you really have to step into this tent to avoid tripping. We have learned to be careful.

    – Single Door: So many tents have doors on both sides, allowing people to get in/out from opposite sides. Not this tent! Choose the direction of the tent wisely, as people will only be able to get in/out that one side.

    – Poor Lantern Hook: The lantern hook is designed to hold a handle that is very skinny. We have a Coleman LED lantern, and the thicker plastic handle will not fit in the lantern hook at the top of this tent.

    – Slightly Smaller Footprint: Our last tent was similarly sized, as we were able to put 2 air mattresses inside–a Queen alongside a Twin. This completely filled the floor of the last tent. In this tent, we must really push the limits of the tent and the mattresses to get a Queen and Twin air mattress inside. It does work, but it is much tighter and just BARELY fits. Not a huge deal, but worth mentioning.

    – Large/Heavy for Transport: I was surprised how LARGE and HEAVY this tent was when folded up into the carry bag. It is definitely bigger and heavier than the last tent we had of a similar size. I think it’s because this one has more substantial poles, rather than the thin, fiberglass, flexible poles.

    – Single Power Port: There is only 1 corner of this tent set up with a special, zippered opening for letting power cords in. That’s a bummer. It would have been nice to have this on opposite sides of the tent, especially since there is no door on the other side of the tent. It’s really a hassle to only be able to feed power in 1 side.

    – Inner Pockets in 1 Location Only: Other tents have pockets mounted on various walls inside. This one has only the pocket panel that you mount below the window. It would be nice to have more pockets in additional locations.

    – Price: The current price of $115 is certainly no bargain. If price is your key criteria, I am sure that you can find something cheaper, but be careful. There is a lot to like about this tent, in spite of its high price.

For our family, the positives outweigh the negatives here, and we rate this a 4-star tent. For your family, the negatives may outweigh the positives. It really depends upon what is most important to you.

This is a very nice tent.
We set it up here in our backyard.
We can camp out in it and put a small electric heater in there in the colder days.
What is so great about it is that i can stand up in it.
We like it that it has a floor (120G Oxford Cloth) attached to it.
This is a super great tent.
The weight is also not too heavy (13.6 LBS.= 6.2 kg)
it is easily set up too.
it just takes about 15 minutes.
The tent poles are lightweight rustproof iron rods.
You get 6 poles that are already attached to this tent.
What’s real nice about it is that it has a porch.
    That is so neat.
The porch pole is not enclosed though.
The tent material is a polyester material.
This Gonex tent comes in a carrying bag.
We love the outdoors and this tent is waterproof like a tent needs to be. (has triple waterproof protection).
This Gonex tent is also windproof.
it will be nice to go camping with the family too when the Spring comes.
My husband has many stories to tell about his camping trips back in the 50’s.
Children can be out in nature and in the fresh air and enjoy the simplicity of life.
You can also use this tent as a quiet getaway in your own backyard or at festival garden gatherings.
You can keep the food in there and close the door.
This tent can make a great gift too for families.
it holds 4 people and there is enough room for your double sleeping bag too.
That’s what we love about this tent too.
i like the idea to have this tent where you can sleep outdoors if you want to.
There is a small opening where you can put electric wires through.
There’s a window in the back of this tent which is nice to have.
Also there is a mesh storage bag inside under the window where you can store some things.
You can open the back window (from outside) and it’s a screen window.
it’s a nice automatic glamping (glamping is a portmanteau of “glamorous” and “camping”) tent.
i checked out what glamping stands for: Glamping is a portmanteau of “glamorous” and “camping”.
i hope you find this review helpful.

Sorry I don’t have pictures, I was babysitting and forgot to take them. I ordered the tent for the summer but I let the kids set it up in the house since it’s still winter and they wanted a “fort”. So set up was actually really easy, with the “help” of the kids I had it up in about 15 min. It’s perfect size and plenty of room for 4 kids and all their stuff. I don’t know if I’d share this with 4 other adults but like a couple camping with all your gear or your dog this tent is PERFECT. Will be testing this out this summer, with my luck it will rain so I’ll update if waterproofing is an issue.

I have found that I have received several items recently that are made by Gonex and all I can say is that each one was high quality – a fishing rod kit (with accessories) and hunter blind/tent and a few other items. This tent is super easy to put up for one person, especially considering its size. It’s a very roomy tent, though as far as being for 10 people, I would have to say if they are very friendly! Still, for maybe 6 at most, this would be perfect and I love the big openings so you get lots of fresh air when it is nice, can close up so the people inside stay dry during bad weather. Many tents are including pockets for electronics like cell phones and tablets, but I do have to add that this tent has several which is a good thing. I think if there was one thing I’d add would be an awning so you could set up a chair and table to hang out under during the heat of the day to keep you shaded. Other than that, this is an awesome tent!

My wife and I love going camping and our kids seem to also enjoy it. We have been looking for another large tent and decided on this one. Just like most large tents it can be a pain at first to get it set up. Once you get that out of the way it’s not to bad. It don’t take long the next go around either. This tent is sturdy and well made. It can handle the weather. At least in the summer time. Not sure about how well this would do in the winter. I don’t camp in the winter. I’m not sure on how water proof this tent is or even how weatherproof it is when it comes because I like to go get the cans of the weatherproofing stuff for tents. I buy about 6 cans and then spray the tent down. I like to do this at the start of each season that way I know water won’t mildew the tent or ruin it. I would definitely recommend doing that. In all I really like this tent and would definitely recommend it to others.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI like this tent for many reasons!
First of, the tent is incredibly specious inside. It fits at least.. 10 people? Good for all the things to be kept humid free and rain free.

The tent is also sturdy. We had a strong wind overnight but had no issues staying inside.

Thirdly, the tent is practical. It is grayish-green color which is perfect for longevity and stain free experience.

    Overall good purchase!

This tent pops up quickly which is an excellent feature if you don’t like long setups. I can fit a queen blow up mattress and still have room for my luggage. I really wish this tent came with the poles to set up the “front porch” which is why I only gave it 4 stars. If it was included I would have five 5. I did measure and buy poles that would work but it was an extra expense. I also wouldn’t stay too long in the rain. It is helpful to put up a canopy to help protect from water.

I am absolutely not a camper but for some reason I thought this would be a good idea to have. I think I selected the perfect tent, it’s spacious and good height and it’s incredibly easy to put up and take down! It only takes a few minutes and you have a perfectly built tent, ready to go. I really enjoy the front canopy cover, you can get a couple of chairs under it for nice protection from the elements. The tent’s shell is rather thin but it is waterproof and fairly wind proof. I don’t think I’d use this for super cold weather camping, but again, I’m not an expert. All in all, I am pleasantly surprised and definitely recommend this great tent.

It took us less then 10 minutes the first time. The poles are nice and strong and the tent its self is a good quality fabric.
I can not see 10 people in this tent but I can see 4 people with plenty of space left for activities should it rain. speaking of rain there is no rain flap but I knew that going in.
Overall this is a nice quality tent that we like and I think you will too.

The Gonex 4 Person Instant Tent is a good tent that takes very little effort to assemble. One person is able to assemble in 5 minutes and disassembly doesn’t take much more time. The tent uses tent poles that are attached to the tent and fold out and extend to assemble the tent. Once complete, you just need to lock the 4 corners of the tent and the poles together and use the tent spikes to lock down. I really wish we had tents like this when I was a kid.

The Gonex 4 Person Instant Tent has a single window in the back and a storage pocket to stow the carrying case away. The tent is pretty spacious and nicely fit 4 adults for sleeping.

The issue is that the Gonex 4 Person Instant Tent shows the front door extended and held with poles that aren’t included with the tent. My wife and I both expected these posts to be included — it’s included in almost every picture. We were pretty disappointed by this. Luckily, we tested the tents before going camping.

All-in-all, the Gonex 4 Person Instant Tent is a very quick to assemble 4 person tent that’s well made and spacious. If the door poles were included, it’d be everything we had expected it to be.

We were fortunate to set this tent up, which was both painless and super easy only to have it snow the very next day. The tent was literally covered with about 5 inches of snow in 15 degree weather. They kids ended up taking a small electric heater inside and made it a play fort. We were really all surprised at the tents durability, even a week later as it is still sitting out there covered with even more snow. I cant image getting anything more durable for cold weather conditions for even close to this low price point.

Assembly was super easy and took the 4 of us less than 10 minutes. We have not taking it down yet, but it looks pretty straight forward. Although cold and snow we have not had liquid rain yet but it seems water resistant as we had a heater in it which melted some of the snow layer and there was no sign of water re-freezing in the tent after heater was turned off.

Super great tent that we highly recommend.

For what I need, this tent is perfect. I plan on using this for camping in good weather without a lot of wind. I set up the tent in my backyard as a test and it seems suitable for my wife and I to make a weekend trip. We had it assembled in about 15 minutes but we’d never done it before.

I like the fact that the tent is fully enclosed and has an awning. I’m only using it in mild weather.

This tent sets up very easily. It has plenty of room for 3-4 people. It seems pretty water tight, although we only encountered light rain, so I am not sure about a downpour. I would call it a 3 season tent, which works for us (not into hiking in the frigid cold and snow). I think this would work well for most general camping needs.
