Used on a cat. It is quite a large device I think I would rather have a smaller clip and handle on such a small creature. The safety clip wall is a bit superfluous and I don’t see how it works but luckily you can slide it out the way.

very impressed with these, my dog hates having his nails trimmed and these fit in my hand much better than the pair I’d misplaced, the file in the handle is a neat little feature and they cut swiftly and cleanly using the guard plate
I don’t have any to compare against but these are good for the price. They have a little piece that stops you cutting too far. Only used them a few times for a trim and works very well. Has a lockable button also for safety.
Mixed feelings about the little file: it’s a neat idea but not very effective.
These clippers are Fantastic! We have used them on our pooch since he was a 12 week pup and we use them still as a 6month old. The guard means it’s easy not to clip close to the cuticle. The emery board means pooch feels like he is being treated and pampered, and means we have not ragged claws. The instructions are clear and this is excellent value for money!

Having 4 mastiff breeds is no easy task trying to cut their nails when 2 ate scared stiff of the nail cutters. These nail clippers glided through our old boy’s thick nails and made a quick job of the 2 girls who are scared stiff of Having their nails cut. 2 one day, a few days Kate another 2. After looking at the mixed reviews I was worried about purchasing these clippers. My fear were completely unfounded. They were so easy to use; the guard gave me the confidence to cut my dogs nails for the first time, knowing that I wouldn’t cut in to the quick, it also allows easier line up to cut the claws quicker. Easy to use and guard provides confidence that you won’t over it the nail. My dog does not like going to vets or groomers but has got used to me cutting her nails.
The dew claws on our spaniel had got rather long so we goy these to try trimming them. We found them very sharp and they did a great job with no discomfort to our dog.
My dog always kicks up a fuss when I take him to get his claws trimmed so I started looking for at home alternatives ( files, grinding wheels ect) but always the same struggle. These did the job so quickly and easily I had the dogs claws trimmed before he even knew what was going on. The guard to prevent over cutting is a very nice, reassuring feature.
We got this set to care for the nails of for our Rottweillers. The clippers are great at getting through their thick black nails and don’t split the nail. The grinder is great at smoothing off the nails. The fact you can remove the cap and use the whole grinder head makes the job quicker. There is less noise of this one than the previous one so it is less stressful for the dogs. Very happy with the purchase at that price.

These are the best nail clippers I’ve tried in a long time. My GSD has thick nails like steel and these snip through them with no effort and a clean cut unlike other brands I’ve tried that just crush the nail. The non slip can get a bit slippy at times but they’re sturdy enough to hold and do an amazing job of snipping nails like concrete!

I haven’t used it yet as it’s almost impossible to get my kittens (who have annoyingly sharp claws) to sit still in my lap but there seems to be nothing wrong with the product itself, it’s built as it should be for its function.
It made trimming my dog’s nails so quick and easy. It was only used on her dew claws because her other nails are kept short by the constant walks she has. My husband was confident to use them and our dog didn’t flinch. They are extremely sharp and you have to be knowledgeable how much you can snip off the nails without injuring your dog.

Great! Having never cut my dogs nails myself I was a little nervous about accidentally hurting her but the guard really helps reassure you and the clippers themselves feel sturdy and good quality.
Excellent for cutting my cats nails.hard to keep her still to cut them tho lol. Make sure you have treats after each foot as they will learn they will get rewarded. =^.^=
Feels sturdy and well made, rubber grip is easy to hold and blades are sharp enough to go through the nail without too much pressure, haven’t tried the nail file out yet, this could be a bit wider but is a good feature and clicks into the grip nicely.

These are amazing clippers. I’ve tried various types over the years and always felt anxious and often ended up with a distressed dog with a bleeding toe. These are razor sharp and easy to use – the depth stop makes all the difference ! I have two dogs and after the first paw I was able to get the remaining seven done quickly with confidence – no pain and minimal stress to the dogs. Can’t recommend them too highly !

Amazed at how good these were. I have a huge rottweiler/ akita cross with long ,thick,black claws. These snipped them perfectly.
Gave this first timer confidence that I wouldn’t hurt my dog by clipping nails too short. Works really well, especially with a bit of peanut butter on a soon to keep him occupied

Our German Shepherd wouldn’t let anybody else cut his nails, so we bought these. They went through his tough nails with no issue. The protective guard is a great idea to ensure you don’t cut too much in one go. They seem very sturdy too.

Very easy to use and Sharp, having a German Shepard / Husky his claws are big – and so are his teeth !! So care was needed to get it right, and the guard really helped, now I keep them trimmed every few weeks. The file isn’t much use that comes with it but I just use the cheapy emery board ones to take away the sharpness. All in all very pleased.

I was concerned from the reviews that they wouldn’t be suitable for small dogs, as we’re currently looking after a small lahsa apso, however we had no issues at all with these trimmers.

Just arrived. Cut my Spencer’s nails. They were quite long so I cut once with the guard on and they weren’t quite short eniugh. So I cut again with guard on. Perfect.

My dogs claws are really thick and hard to cut ( I have a GSD) so these are amazing. They cut effortlessly and reduce the shatter effect you can sometimes get with these kinds of clippers. Not for small dog paws as they are bulky but ideal for big doggo paws.
I have to say I am really impressed with these clippers. I can’t take my greyhound to just any groomer because he is very nervous with strangers (he was abused by his former owner) and our groomer (who he loves) is currently shielding but he was starting to look like wolverine! I bought these clippers in a bit of desperation really, honestly not expecting much especially as his nails are black so you can’t see the quick, and they are really tough, but these clippers took off the perfect amount of nail, cleanly and easily (no crushing).
This product is very easy to use and we had no problem cutting our dog’s claws. The clippers are sturdy and cut through the claws with no problem. The nail file isn’t the best, it just takes a bit longer to make sure the claws are not too rough.
The stop can be used to limit the amount of nail removed or pushed aside if they are very overgrown. Overall I’m very happy with these clippers. My older dog wasn’t keen on having her nails cut, but as everything was over in a couple of minutes she rapidly focused on a few biscuits as a reward!
Excellent product! I’ve been very anxious about trimming our dog’s nails because they’re black and I can’t see the quick. But these are so sharp and simple to use that I’ve been able to shave off a tiny amount at a time. No reaction from the dog either because they’re low noise and super sharp so there’s no resistance from the nail. Perfect.

My Alaskan Malamute was in desperate need of a ‘manicure’ due to groomers being closed/unavailable because of lockdown. I’m always wary of trimming his claws myself as clippers I’ve purchased in the past haven’t been sturdy enough of sharp enough and have resulted in crushing the end of the claw as opposed to actually cutting it. These however are very sharp, comfortable to hold and cut through the claws with ease. The added guard offers extra piece of mind and is a great safety feature that ensures you never cut to the quick. The hidden file is a lovely touch but his claws were that clean cut that it wasn’t needed.

My dog does not like her paws touched at all, she had one nail that had curled over into one of her pads . With a bit of distraction with a treat and my son ready with these nail clippers, jobs a good one, so easy to use and safe to. With a safety guard fitted there is no risk of trimming the nails too short.
So easy to use, our dog seems to grow nails so quick and they get so scarpe so got this to cut at home instead of going to vets. Nice and easy to use, has the bit you can push over so you will only cut a certain amount off. First couple of times it made a sound but after a couple of times our dog got used to it. Recommend
Brilliant, so easy to use with the long handles and very sharp. I bought a cheaper pair and was terrified using them, they broke any way. I’m so glad a purchased these, it’s made the process so much quicker too. If you are unsure I promise you, you won’t be disappointed. I don’t use the file as I have an electric one.
