Great little hover for those days you just can’t be bothered to get the big one out! Very light an nifty for carpets & hard floors, works really well on stairs to. The suction is good, cause it is only small you do have to empty it often, comes with 2 batteries so that’s a bonus. Happy with my purchas

After using this hoover for the first time, we realised how bad our last one was. This was also a hoover brand but cheaper. The new hoover H free 500, removed so much hair from our carpets that it made us shivver to think that for 18 months of using the last one it was virtually useless, and was leaving most of the dirt and hair on the carpet. We will see how long this H free 500, lasts. None of our previous cord free vacuums have lasted more than 2 years. Our previous plug in Henry was till going strong after 10!

It’s good for everyday use if you have hard floors. If you have carpets, I am not sure. Good thing – light weight and battery life is not bad. Suction is not good as I expected. I was disappointed as mine arrived opened, nothing was missing, however it left an impression that somebody returned it and had been sold to me.

A great vacuum cleaner, works really well on carpets but not good on hard floors, it tends to just push any crumbs etc. you have to have it on boost and move slow so it can suck it up. Therefore the battery runs out quickly ( there is the option of grabbing the second battery obviously)
I love the way it can be taken apart to clean, also the brush can be removed to take off long hairs which is a bonus.
An all in all ideal Hoover for carpets, hopefully they improve the hard floor cleaning capabilities on their next model as it is a let down on this one.

I deliberately bought this model with two batteries which takes the gamble our of using it. I like that the brush can be removed easily and cleaned. The capacity of the dust bowl seems adequate. I use it both on hard floors and carpets.

I am so pleased with the cleaner. Lightweight good suction and easy to empty. I can’t comment on stairs as I live in an apartment. So much better than my previous vacuum excellent on hard floors and the tools are so easy to attach and remove. Would recommend.

Initial impressions are very good although not as easy to assemble at first compared to previous cleaners of this type. Effective in cleaning pet hair from a variety of surfaces. The two batteries are most useful avoiding the problem of power failing half way through a job. Would have given full 5 Stars but emptying the bin is messy compared to similar cleaners and needs a probe to get pet hair out.

So far so good does everything a Hover should, nice and light weight good suction and easy controls, attachments that come with it are brilliant eats dog hair no problem.
Does need a second battery if you have a large home and hovering more than 3 rooms on one charge, it does take 2 or 3 hrs to re charge.
Also great for the car or caravan.
Saves pounds, better than getting robbed for overpriced Dyson’s.

Bought for 80 year old mum after she had broken her hip to replace a cylinder type hoover. Mum has stairs and is ok going up & down them but not when trying to juggle a vacuum cleaner , but with this stairs are not an issue. It’s lightweight with great suction replaces a proper vacuum cleaner NOT just a cleaner to pick the bits off the carpet in between ‘proper vacuuming’

Really like this. It’s lightweight, really easy to use & has a super handy light on it (which highlights things before you Hoover then up). Only issue I have with it is hair. I have long hair as do my 2 girls & it just wraps around the bottom of the Hoover – not sure how it would be if we had pets too.

I bought this to use I’m my kitchen and living room, both of which have hard floors. It’s excellent for running around every day to keep the place clean and tidy. Powerful enough for what I use it for and does the job well. I have used it on carpets a couple of times and it’s OK but bit great. It qp t do the job for a proper full om house clean and can’t compete with a cabled Shark/Dyson so don’t expect it to.

The best on the market for the price and it really does do what the video Shows! The best battery vacuum there is (without spending 600 on a Dyson) I’ve gone through 3 in 2 years thinking spending a little will Solve it, but this one definitely has.

What’s not to love? We live in a 2 bedroom apartment and have a dog who seems to shed year round and I can hoover the whole place including the stairs without the battery running out. I’ve even managed to vacuum two days running on one charge.
Obviously, if you use it in ‘turbo’ mode the battery runs out more quickly but I can still get most of the house done.
The big toothbrush thingy is absolutely genius. I hope whoever thought of it applied for the patent!
The fact that you can take every part of the canister to bits in order to clean it is amazing.
Like I said, what’s not to love!

Battery is fine and does the job! The problem with the machine is that on full boost power battery only lasts for about 7 to 8 minutes, so it is really necessary to have 2 batteries to be able to do sufficient of the house cleaning!

Brought this item as our dog is always dropping hair, it’s been a good Hoover but sometimes it does block when there is a lot of hair but it is very easy to get to all parts and clear the hover. I have to say I can hover downstairs and just get some of upstairs done before the battery dies. But the Hoover is very light and versatile and easy to use a good buy.

It works both on carpet and hard floors. Good for going over furniture and can be quickly taken from one mode to another, the tools that I mainly use are attached and not fiddly to change.

The only slightly negative thing is the size of the dust collector, it has to be emptied after each use, maybe a good thing!!

A right angled long haired dusting brush would be useful. The tube is rectangular so the generic ones don’t fit.

We looked at a newspaper review article on these products and this came second to an alternative that was 600. We decide it was worth the risk and if it wasn’t as good, we could but three Hoovers if necessary, which had to be a better deal. In use it is fantastic, very powerful. Truly embarrassed to see how much it pulled out of our carpets on the first attempt and very light to hold.

My friend had told me about her cordless Dyson but it was sooooooo expensive so I did a wee bit research and thanks Good Housekeeping for giving this hoover almost as many percentage points as Dyson… you saved me a fortune. I love the light weightedness, the uprightness and the swivel headedness of this hoover. I have a memory of my mum getting super excited by her first hoover circa 1983 … I finally get her excitement .

When I got the hoover I was shocked about the dimensions but then it really surprised me!
It’s light and very handling. Even if doesn’t seem powerful, it does a good job.
The double batteries help a lot!
It’s good for cleaning up hair but I don’t think is great for pets hair.
I recommend it for flat up to 50 sq mt, after that the battery wouldn’t be enough and the dust container would too little.

I bought the ‘Pet’ model. We have four cats and a dog. The special head is excellent at hoovering up hair from pets bedding, carpets and from hard floors. Using the same head makes hoovering stair carpets easy. It takes a time to get used to emptying the collection drum regularly and making sure the filter is clean. The machine will stop if it needs emptying or the battery is low. It is so easy to use around the house and in bathrooms especially. I have a Henry Hoover for sturdier hoovering.

We bought this to replace our ageing Gtech and right away, this is a huge improvement. Suction is very good in standard operation and excellent when switching on the turbo function. Battery life is also very good in standard mode, with one charge able to vacuum all 3 floors of our townhouse no problem. Operation is easy, with extensions etc clicking into place with little effort, and it quickly breaks down for storage, taking up very little space. The attachments are good too, and capacity is also better than the equivalent Gtech

The only (minor) negative is that the roller does get clogged quite easily – however the head is very easy to clean out and maintain, having a quick release brush.

Very light and manoeuvrable. Was expecting to wall mount it, but it takes up so little space that we haven’t bothered. Suction is great too. We use it downstairs on our tiled and wood floors but also for doing the carpeted stairs. The ability to turn the brush on and off during use is also good, as is the fact that you don’t have to hold a trigger down to keep it switched on. Great vacuum for the price. Would definitely not go back to a dyson cordless after using this. Second battery is also very useful.

A good light weight cleaner, works well on carpet wooden floors, easily stored in the airing cupboard meaning I no longer have to lug the Sebo up and down stairs. My one niggle is that after every session I have to strip the filters etc to clean them, so I would recommend keeping an old tooth brush handy. The battery usage is not bad, one charge is enough to do stairs, landing, 3 bedrooms and the bathroom. Update another small niggle is small brush and a long haired wife and dog, so a small pair of scissors comes in handy.

I hardly write reviews, but I could not resist writing this review. I have a Dyson Ball, but I wanted something less clunky that I could use more frequently. I bought this Hoover over 5 weeks ago, and I have not touched my Dyson since. This is a great product, the battery life is good, not on the Turbo though, but you really don’t need it. Advice for anyone thinking of getting this, get the one with 2 batteries, you will get better value for your money. My daughter never used to vacuum her room, she is happy to grab this and use it quickly. the storage design is ingenious. I just like the product.

It’s been more than a month now and I can say that I’m very positively surprised about this. I was very skeptical about wireless vacuums for the reasons that everyone talks about of short battery life, poor suction etc. These may all be real concerns but the advantage of having a little and light appliance always ready, greatly outweights the disadvantages. Surely suction is not comparable to the old Electrolux upright, but neither is the weight and agility. Battery life is more than decent if you use standard suction mode. I can vacuum every day. It’s quite and easy to use. There are a few small issues, like the collector attachment is a bit cumbersome, the collector is a bit small, the various utensils cannot be attached to it and charging is a bit slow. Overall, however I’m very happy with it. It looks nice and it’s easy to use. No useless functions. It’s easy to clean and takes up very little space. What does one need more from a vacuum?
If it lasts over time, I shall see. For the moment, no complaints.

I researched so many cordless vacuum cleaners before choosing this one I wanted to leave a review to hopefully help others. I was originally going to purchase the popular fish related vacuum brand but based on the fact they are heavy to use I chose this one. Very glad I did – I think it’s great for the price – suction is fine for a cordless and having two batteries means you have enough run time. Emptying the dust cylinder is fine if you use the little tool. It’s really lightweight to use and the pet tool is great for stairs. Not sure what you would use on stairs if you haven’t got the pet tool though. All in all a great purchase.

I have the “full” pet version with the extra battery and the extra spinning brush attachment.

This is small and neat enough to park somewhere handy (rather than in a closet / spare room, with no trailing plastic tubes or wire stripping you up). And it’s light and quiet enough to just pick it up and do a bit of casual hoovering when you feel like it, eg when you see a bit of dust of fluff, rather than waiting till you’re going to do the whole place. The rotating brush for the carpet works very well: we have a couple of people with long hair, a new rug, and a couple of small “non-shedding” dogs; it picks up plenty of hair, fluff and a bit of dog hair which the incumbent Henry seems to have missed.

It does fill up very quickly with fluff (esp. with from the new rug which is still shedding a lot); the plastic hooked implement works well enough for fishing this out. OTOH I can do most of the stairs because the carpet there is a few years old, and dirt/dust doesn’t take as much space. Because of the small scale of the plastic cylinder it’s easy enough to just take it outside to clean out. I have been using the scissors trick to remove hair from the roller (which comes out easily enough with a clip)

After a strong coffee I may find myself using up both batteries but one is usually enough to assuage any hoovering cravings. The carpet attachment on turbo is the most power-hungry but there’s enough for the rug (~6′ x 9′) and a bit more. Having two makes it easier to keep them charged, of course. The little charger looks underpowered when we are used to fast-charging phones etc; and it’s a bit frustrating not having competitive 3rd-party options. I might explore DIY / 3rd party options once they start wearing down and the warranty is gone.

I like the little LED headlights which do seem to light up the dust if you’re hoovering in low-light.

I haven’t really used the sort of half-sized rotating brush attachment, which may be for curtains or something (we don’t have any…)

The various parts mostly slot together in quite a satisfying way. The little brush on the brush-only nozzle seems slightly too flimsy, but it’s been OK so far. The anodized(?) aluminium parts and joints are nice to handle. The thing stands up nicely on its own in a couple of different configurations.

I’m pleased with this and my enthusiasm for using it is even earning me a few household brownie points.

Highly effective lightweight hoover with a nice small head which gets under furniture better than my G-techs. The dust chamber is a bit fiddly to empty and the battery life, as many people mention, is woeful, but it does do an excellent job and is very versatile. Five stars but only just, make sure you get the Energy version for the additional battery.

Good battery time (go for 2 battery package. Worth the little extra).
Emptying is a little fiddly, and could have come with a long narrow extension but all in all these are minor setbacks.

Very light weight and convenient. Easy storage and good suction on high power mode. The extra battery is helpful as this is not designed for long periods of use, but it’s fantastic for regular quick cleans and it’s lightweight but sturdy. The collection drum is quite small, but regular emptying and cleaning is pretty easy. Really pleased with this. Used to have a Henry hoover, and that was big, bulky and heavy. This doesn’t have the overall suction power of a Henry, but i found this hoover to actually be better on carpets because of the rotating brush. And you don’t have cables dragging around!

This is brilliant vacuum for my needs – I purchased as back-up cleaner in order to use between fuller house cleans and to vacuum the car. It doesn’t have the power of my heavy plug-in Dyson, but I didn’t expect it to – it’s perfect for what I need it for though. It’s also great for the stairs – no more lugging my heavy corded cleaner up and down or balancing it precariously on one of the stairs. An additional plus is that I can whip over the kitchen laminate floor quickly – much better than getting the dustpan and brush out. All in all, a great vacuum: lightweight; easy to manoeuvre under and around furniture; has plenty of tools and is very compact, which makes storage a doddle

This is my first cordless vacuum and I really like the freedom it gives. I like that it will stand upright and that was one of the reasons I purchased it. If I see any bits on my kitchen floor I just get my Hoover and Hoover them up, so easy. There were two batteries included, which is great. One to charge and one to use. It is not as sturdy looking as a Dyson and although the weight is supposed to be the same , the Hoover seems lighter. Emptying the dust container can be a bit fiddly unless you remove it from the body of the vacuum, which needs doing frequently because the filter needs cleaning.
Overall I am pleased and don’t regret my purchase.

I don’t usually write reviews but had to give one here. The ease of swapping over parts is the best yet and I’ve had a Dyson before. It’s really easy to empty and glides along floors and carpets great. The added light at the front is a revelation and lights up the floor in front showing up fluff not seen by the naked eye. I love the way that it stands alone. If you choose this you will not be disappointed.

Compared to the Vax blade 4 pets I had I prefer this vac. It has the suction power to clean without pulling up my laminate flooring like the vax did..

Very good with pet hair, my Maltese cross sheds constantly and this has no issue with collecting her fur.
Very lightweight compared to the top heaviness of the vax too, easier for those who struggle with too heavy vaccums.

Dust container isnt huge but many of these type if vacuums are the same, would have liked some kind if lever to help push out the dirt rather than having to stick a skewer in to turf it out!

Battery life isn’t great, again, many if these vac’s are the same with battery life and you do get two so it helps a little.
I only use this as a quick day to day vac and still use a corded vac once a week as I don’t think you can ever beat the power of corded.

I like the floor head as it is much slimmer than most on the market, it can get right up to the edge of my sofa and under slightly where the vax i had couldnt.
They supply a wiper blade to put on the bottom of the floor head but i find by using this is pushes crumbs back and forth rather than sucking them up, so intend to use it without, it still pucks up all the debris on the floor though.

All in all a good vac and worth the money, ideal if you want something thats not heavy to hold.

We didn’t buy this for a main Hoover. We wanted something that was quick and easy to use and lightweight. Since we’ve had it we haven’t yet needed the other main vacuum. Because there is no effort to reach it out we’re on top of everything. My 17 year old daughter now fights to use it. Following reviews of other cordless vacuums we selected this one partly due to the 2nd battery. This has proved a great decision. My mother was so impressed she has now ordered one!

The product works well on moquette/carpet. The battery has an acceptable life only for small spaces. It does not take the crumbs at the corners with the wall, you have to push them away with a broom to get them to be caught.
I am generally happy with the appearance.

I like this machine but do find it difficult to empty the dust out. We have a dog and I find the hairs and dust block the dust collector quite regularly and quickly. Not great having to scoop everything out with a skewer!

I wanted to revisit my review. The item really doesn’t work at all well after my purchase last October. I was initially impressed as it’s a cordless item. It’s got a small collection chamber that gets full quickly and gets blocked by pet hairs. The item is supposed to pull apart into smaller bits for various functions and this would help also to clear the blocked tubes unfortunately these have now ceased up completely. The vacuum has significantly reduced in its functioning rendering it useless. I can’t see the value of this item at all and it will rapidly deteriorate in its function and can’t cope with a 3 bedroomed home in the longer term.

Honestly we’ve tried for years to find a vacuum cleaner like this. I’m disabled and without seeming toon dramatic, it has given me a bit of dignity back. Even with spinal problems I can easily vacuum my house, furniture and corners wherE dust accumulates with absolute ease. It’s great for ‘catch and release’ of unwanted spiders and daddy long legs too! The battery lasts for so long and having a second battery makes it even better! I’d give it 10 stars if I could… oh and it is SO easy to clean! Best Buy of 2020 for sure.

No stairs here, hence no idea. Suction power is as it is. We don’t use the turbo mode, but daughter used, works fine. Two batteries was the decisive factor for me. Happy with the purchase! Lightweight, comes with a bag for the accessories. We use mainly the longer lasting hand device option. Overall a happy customer here!

Not enough battery life or ooomph for the whole house but great for quick clean ups in between more thorough big cleans.. I would recommend this product.

Wanted a cordless powerful vacuum to replace my heavy corded one. Meets some of the criteria but not all.
Likes: lightweight, manoeuvrability, good for picking up animal hairs from rugs etc., very necessary with 2 dogs and 2 cats.
Dislikes: Needs emptying very, very frequently and have to manually ease the contents out. Hoover should consider a slightly larger container to make this less messy.
Will it replace my corded vacuum? No, but it has a good place in my cleaning cupboard for a quick and lightweight clean.

I purchased this hoover as the reviews all mention two batteries and felt this was good value compared to other models (I couldn’t tell from the description the number), but I only recieved one?
It would seem from the write up’s that two would be required for a decent clean time.

We have a big Dyson ball hoover that knocks the socks off this with it’s pick up and tools, as well as the number of functions. However, this gets used 10x more as it’s “good enough”. Thats not an insult, it’s just good to know what you are buying before you get it.

It does not pick up as well as the dyson, it does not have multiple spinning tools to clean to the max and it just isn’t as good a vacuum.

However, at half the price we expected this. What we wanted was a second small hoover to easily clean chairs of pet hair, to easily clean the car. To quickly grab and get cat litter up or do a sweep of the house (of which our two bed can be done nearly on one battery if Turbo isnt used). This ticks all these boxes, it’s so easy to grab out for two minutes to do a quick sweep that we use it daily. it’s lightweight so it’s easy to get out, no cables to run and it’s suction is more than enough to make a room clean. it picks up well enough and cleans cat hair off chairs and cat litter off the floor, it picks up most of whats on the floor in our carpets and is so manoeuvrable.

small and light to take out to the car with no worry about cables either. it’s become our go to hoover every day, however we do still do a “big” hoover with the Dyson once a week and there is still stuff that it picks up. For me it’s a great (if not a little expensive) second hoover that gives you loads of options for quick sweeps around the house or a single hoover for a small flat, especially if you don’t have to worry about pet hair etc.

We love it though, and so far haven’t really found any issues with it.

I got in a pickle ordering this but it was soon rectified by Amazon, I was quite hesitant about ordering a stick hoover as I felt that (a) it would be too heavy for me to use and (b) it would’nt have enough suction. I was wrong, this is just perfect for me, it IS very light and the suction is good enough for a 2 person no pet couple, it runs for at least 29 mins, long enough for me to hoover our 2 bedroom bungalow, and with a couple of extra buttons I can use the booster and also the carpet button How I wish I had purchased this earlier.

Got to be one of the best hoovers i have used, light weight, easy to manoeuvre , picks up well. one thing i always hated with the cordless cleaners was emptying as having dogs they always get full very quick and have to get something to scrape out as hairs get stuck . with this model being a smaller tank i have to empty more often . BUT when last used i discovered that if you unscrew the tank / tube waste ect . take out filter which just pulls out and filter , then empty, very easy and takes seconds. use this method all the time now. really happy with this hoover. highly recommend.

There’s a lot to like about this Hoover, it’s incredibly lightweight and flexible making all sorts of what used to be difficult jobs much easier, especially the stairs and high up shelves etc., not to mention it’s ability to slide right under many items of furniture. Suction power is adequate for most jobs on the standard setting, switching to turbo easily matches the power of a corded cleaner but does eat through the battery power in double quick time. I think I could do all of my house no problem on two fully charged batteries (2 are included and manufacturer quoted running times assume you have both batteries fully charged). I don’t keep mine in a cupboard but the compact storage mode really does enable you to hide it away in a small space.
The inbuilt tools are continent and flexible and the separate powered small head for pet hair works really well too, but I don’t think I’d risk it on the sofa as it doesn’t seems very gentle.
Vacuuming really is a lot easier overall particularly because of the light weight which I think is the principal advantage – it’s lighter than my previous cordless, never mind the bulky old Dyson!
There are a few downsides, the crevice tool isn’t really a tool but just the main tube without n attachment and as such is a bit too bulky for the average crevice. The dust bin is small and can be difficult to empty out, especially if you’ve let it get overfull (emptying after each use recommended). The brush bar on the main carpet tool, seems particularly prone to clogging up with hairs but is at least easy to remove and cut them away.
If you read this far and in the interests of full disclosure I did receive mine at a promotional price in return for writing a review, however this has not affected my views in any way. After a few weeks use the LED that indicates level of battery charge has stopped working properly and I am planning to return to Amazon for an exchange, but will definitely continue to use this cleaner.

Omg ! It is one of my best purchases ohave ever done ! It is so handy appliance that every house should have.

Lightweight- easy to use on any surface. I remember times when I had to carry our massive vacuum cleaner to Hoover the stairs . It was nightmare. Easy to store . This version has two batteries that last 80 minutes which was enough for me for whole week using it everyday . Easy to use . Took me two minutes to assemble it . Now the most important it is EFFECTIVE picks up dirt, dust and dogs hair really well !

What a great handheld vacuum cleaner. It is a powerful and excellent machine. I like the way it can do both hardwood floors and carpets and switch between them with a simple button press on the handle. It is not as heavy as I thought it would be and the box it comes in is deceptively small. The greatest feature would be that it comes with 2 batteries so you always have a backup if you forgot to charge it.

    Great machine!!

Was really undecided on wich Vacuum cleaner to buy. I eventually decided to go for this one. I’m so glad I did because I love it!! It’s brilliant! The suction power is amazing.. Blows my old Vax hand held out of the water!, The Motorised pet head is brilliant, I love how all of the attachments are on Board. It’s brilliant on Carpets and Hard wood Floors, also great how it can be charged on the dock the only 1 Bad point that I have found is the battery doesnt last as long as I like but you can buy a spare one, also some models come with 2 batterys. Mine didn’t over all Brilliant vacum very happy with it 🙂

We’ve been looking at cordless vacuums for a long time trying to decide if one would be right for us, but after adopting a second rescue dog it became a necessity — for a small dog he sheds enough hair to recreate another dog every other day.

After reading some reviews we picked up the Hoover H-FREE 500. Other reviews are correct, it does come in a very small box that was light enough that we pondered whether there was actually a hoover inside at all.
Fortunately there was, and we spent a few minutes (not long, maybe around 10 minutes in total) setting it up and getting familiar with the various elements.

After using it for a couple of weeks now I would say that while I would probably keep a corded hoover in the cupboard for those times when you want to do a deep clean of the whole house without waiting for batteries to recharge, this vacuum is perfect for every other occasion. We pull it out daily to run around the living room where the hair is usually worst, and it’s also brilliant to grab when the dogs have crunched a biscuit and left a mess on the floor, since because it’s cordless it takes seconds to grab and use compared to winding and unwinding the cords of a normal vacuum.

It’s very lightweight and swivels easily to get around, between and underneath most furniture, and with the head being flat to the floor we’ve found it doesn’t pick up any of the myriad of cables that we have around the house to charge various devices. We were also surprised that the most useful element of the vacuum was one we hadn’t really considered — it has a light on the front to illuminate the path the hoover is taking, which really highlights all of the dog hair that we’ve probably been missing in the past in gloomy corners!

The downside is that the battery power does drain very quickly when using turbo mode. We’ve only really used that when trying to get dog hair out of the sofa, so have found that can take a couple of charges to do really well — an excuse for a coffee break.

All in all we really like this vacuum and are glad we picked it up when we did.

We’re usually an upright corded household for the sheer power of it but it is undeniably an ordeal lugging it around, especially with the stairs, upholstery and the car. We clean our home often, do not have pets but do have a high cleaning standard.

This is not the first cordless hoover we’ve tried, the first one went back due to a couple of frustrations that I feel the Pets Energy kit resolves so this time we’re keeping and enjoying it. I think that the design and features of this Hoover rival those of much more expensive cordless vacuum cleaners and I will list them.

    – Everything breaks down easily and obviously, from detaching the hoses to removing, emptying and disassembling the tank for cleaning, it is easy, right down to the carpet brush that unclips, slides out and even has grooves for you to run scissors up if you happen to have a long haired female human as I do.
    – The Hoover has a selection of power modes, turbo, normal with brush and normal without brush, you can also toggle the carpet brush. No they are not automatic as the floor type changes however the button is easy to use and in that respect saves you a couple hundred quid.
    – This kit contains two easy to change batteries, one gripe I have is the LED on the Hoover stays red for charging even when it,s full, the LED on the battery however changes to white when it’s full so I elect to charge the batteries off the Hoover, I vacuum, remove the battery for charging and insert the spare charged battery ready for next time.
    – The kit also includes an additional compact head that is perfect for the sofas and in the car, awesome.
    – Lightweight, manoeuvrable, easy to adapt and easy to use, the buttons toggle too instead of a hold trigger, great if you’re arthritic.
    – Stores neatly, you can break it down and have it freestanding and it even comes with a wall mount so you can hang it in the cupboard

In summary I’m pleased as punch with the H500 Energy Pets kit, it does a great job on all floor types in the various modes, a single battery does our 3 bed semi including stairs and sofas and doesn’t break your back or arms in doing so, a big win for me.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI am a big fan of Hoover products and this is no exception! I had a plug in Hoover vacuum which was great but heavy to lug around a three storey house and after having a baby last year, I was finding that I needed to vacuum up nearly after every meal. This Hoover is perfect for me – it is extremely light so I can even carry it in one hand and baby in the other. My house is a mix of carpet, rugs and hardwood floors so I love that you can press a button to easily adjust the vacuum to the surface type. The vacuum is so easy to manoeuvre, it glides across surfaces and corners like a dream and the suction is good!

Two batteries is perfect so I always have one charging so it’s always ready to use and make sure I charge up the battery after I’m done vacuuming. The battery is easy to click out so I don’t find this a hassle at all. I have found I am able to do my whole house and not run out of battery power at all – something I was nervous about when purchasing a cordless vacuum – and I use it on turbo mode a lot!

The vacuum is also tiny when in storage mode so you can easily put it away when not in use, which I love as my house does not have much storage space. Another thing I love about it is that it’s relatively quiet (compared to my previous Hoover anyway). My baby would cry each time I vacuumed before but he’s been fine with this one.

The only con I have is that it’s not easy to empty the waste cylinder and I always have to stick my fingers in to get the dirt out, which isn’t ideal.

Definitely very pleased with this purchase – I actually enjoy vacuuming now!

  82. Anonymous says:

When this arrived, it was hard to imagine the vacuum actually was inside because the box was so small, but this is testament to its space saving ability. If you are tight on space, this is a key feature for sure! To summarise, it is a pretty decent vacuum for the cost, lightweight and easy to manoeuvre, but it isn’t ideal on hard floors and when the turbo mode is engaged, you don’t get long before the battery dies. Below I’ve gone into more of the pros and cons:

    Pros:
    – Very light and flexible. No issues with using it up and down the stairs or in handheld mode to reach up high. It can also go completely flat which is handy.
    – 2 batteries means you can have one charging ready for replacing when your other one dies part way through cleaning.
    – The brush head isn’t bulky so I can get it part way under the bed, under the doors of the fitted wardrobes and under the radiators with ease.
    – All of the tools and parts clip in and out easily, including the parts of the brush bar so you can cut the hair out of it.
    – The light on the brush bar is handy.

    Cons:
    – The cylinder is an absolute nightmare to empty. This was my biggest gripe – I think because it is so slimline, the contents do not just drop out when you release the catch. You have to get in there and dig it all out. I had to open it from the top and take it apart to properly empty it. The dust went everywhere – on me, the outside of the vac – very inconvenient.
    – Hardwood floor cleaning was less than impressive. I ended up having to remove the brush bar and just use the stick to suck up crumbs, cat litter and leaves.
    – Turbo mode really drains the battery – I have a 3 bed house which is not huge and I needed 3 batteries worth of power to do all of the floors (not counting skirting, ceiling, upholstery or any other dusting). I didn’t find it powerful enough without turbo mode on.
    – I wish there was a thin flexible attachment like I’ve seen on other vacs that can fit down the side of dishwashers or under the fridge to get hard to reach crumbs – there are only 3 tools included for upholstery, pet hair and dusting.
    – The position of the power button near the handle meant I frequently accidentally turned it off during cleaning, which isn’t a huge deal, but also when I was removing the cylinder, I’d turn it on, which gave me a fright and spread dust back around.

I love how you can basically design this hoover for the cleaning you are doing – making it smaller, longer, lighter etc. It really helped me when I was hoovering the stairs and down the back of tight spots, but the suction of this cordless was definitely not up to scratch of my old plug in dyson. The design of this hoover is definitely it’s unique selling point, and it was apparently so intriguing sitting in my dining room that my husband decided to try it out on multiple occasions, something he has never done before! I also like that it comes with 2 batteries so you can charge one whilst using the other. 5* for design, but I’ve held onto my old plug in for general vacuuming on whole rooms.

he premise to any good vacuum cleaner is it has to suck(pun intended) and shouldnt take your more time to clean than the floor you are vacuuming. This device ticks all those boxes and has its pro’s and cons.
Disclaimer: I received this as part of a campaign in exchange for an unbiased review and I intend to do so.
    Pro’s:
The device is light and doesnt make you feel like you are a twist away from an injury.
It comes with 2 batteries included which makes it easier to continue without running out of juice partway.
has a turbo mode which can help with that stubborn bit of dust.
    its got excellent maneuverability.
comes with a pet hair tool for the furniture

    Con’s:
small dust bin, means you will be making more trips to clear it
the bin is difficult to empty
lighter means compromises, and its suction power is not as great as some other devices.
    no stair tool

Overall a handy device and certainly has its merits, if you are looking for your first portable device its a good one to get and if you are ok with the few compromises then its easy to recommend

It comes with a range of accessories you can swap and use as well as two rechargeable battery packs. Really handy if you have kids and pets as it comes with a pet hair attachment head and for kids you can run behind them and clean up their crumbs with ease.

It turns from a duster to a hoover for wood and carpet surfaces with a click of a button and not at all fiddly. As it is wireless you can get to all areas of your house and can also use it to clean the car as the hoover detaches and becomes smaller which is perfect for compact spaces.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis vacuum cleaner is an absolute must. I have had a Dyson cordless vacuum cleaner for many years and felt that it had lost its power. This product is extremely powerful, it has a light so you can see where to hoover, it is very lightweight, it stands upright without having to be attached to anything, it comes with two batteries and the attachments are all very useful. I highly recommend this product and it is drastically better than my old Dyson.

This Hoover is a lot of power in a small, lightweight package. I love that it folds down so can easily go in my cupboard. I love that you press a button and it turns on and isn’t trigger operated. I love the light! – so you can easily see the dust and dirt on my tiled floor! Love the turbo and carpet buttons so much more power – but unfortunately it does drain the battery so I love that there’s a spare! I love that it is so manoeuvrable , it zips around so easily getting in all the corners. I love that the brush bar comes out easily for cleaning and there is even a groove for your scissors! It picks up really well on tiles and carpet, easily adapts to a handheld for stairs and car, comes with the tools attached. Also comes with a mini pet head with brush that’s also great for stairs and upholstery.

The things that I feel that are not so great are that the great removable brush bar is small so it does collect a lot of hair and fluff really quickly ( dogs and long haired females in household) and the dust chamber is small and compact but again it fills quite quickly and not the easiest thing to empty (I find it easier to remove and clear from the top) – I’m guessing it would be good practice to maybe clear the brush bar and empty bin after each use. I hope that the brush bar doesn’t get jammed up as the actual part that comes out canning be dismantled.
It doesn’t get right into the edges with the main brush head , but I’ve never found a vacuum that does.

It’s great for running around, quick and easy to use and lightweight. Jury is still out on whether it is strong enough to be my main vacuum cleaner.

    Good power, great manoeuvrability

I have purchased my first house recently and had a VAX pet hoover with a cord which I thought done a great job at sucking up all the dirt and hairs.

The problem with my VAX hoover was I had to plug it into multiple outlets, the size having to store it and hovering upstairs was a nightmare with the poor little VAX normally ending up being upside down on its back.

I have been using this Hoover H Free for about 2 weeks and now I am suspicious if my VAX hoover was ever doing a good job. The amount of dust/pet hair which was picked up on my first test with the Hoover was astounding, while this not visible on my carpets in the first place I am impressed that the Hoover H Free 500 was capable of doing such a deep clean.

What I love about this hoover compared to my regular hoover is it so lightweight, so easy to move, and I can do areas such as the stairs without putting up a fight.

Because it does not require plugging in you can use it on hardwood floors to pick up any crumbs in a second. It’s been great on picking up pet hair and any food droppings etc.

The handheld dust attachment is quite good for lamps, coffee tables etc. It has done a great job when I have used it, but I am not too sure if the soft bristles are picking up the dust or the hoover suction as the bristles will clump with dust residue.

Battery Life I managed to do my whole house without the battery running out, I also tested this on turbo mode which makes the battery life runs out faster but generally it’s great that you’re given two batteries so you always keep one on charge and swap it out.

Things I dislike about this hoover is the rotating brush bar – I’ve twice had to cut out tangled hair which easily wraps around it. The rotating brush bar does remove easily, but I never had this problem with my VAX.
Also, the buttons are a bit confusing, sometimes I’m pressing the purple buttons trying to get it to go into the handheld or storage mode and nothing happens, not sure if this is just me getting familiar with the Hoover though.

Overall — the perks outweigh the cons, I am chuffed with my decision to purchase this hoover. I recommend that you will feel it be money well spent and life-changing for anyone getting frustrated with a cord hoover.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI was looking for a lightweight cleaner I could use upstairs. With 2 cats, lots of carpet and biscuit crumbs from 2 kids the Dyson wasn’t always picking up despite it being seemingly great for my hard floors. This seemed to fit the bill, and its small storage height was a big attraction; I can hide it in the airing cupboard.

I used this for the first time however to clean my living room, after running over with our existing cleaner. Wow, that’s almost half a box more dust collected – I thought it was clean! Its suction power is superb, with the gentle brushes picking up hair and dust with ease. Upstairs it picked up the cat hair brilliantly from the cat’s favourite spots. I really like the speed of switching between the floor attachments and then converting to a long-reach dust facility- it takes no time and remains lightweight when stretching up thanks to a good weight balance. The other big benefit is the button allows it to stay on without having to hold anything down giving more control and no sore finger.

The addition of a second battery is perfect, saves you having to do something else when you run out of charge on the last room. Overall a good all-round machine which comes with all the add-ons you need. Great for big and small jobs, getting that ground in cat hair off the carpet, easy to store and quick to charge.

Felt lighter and easier to control than my Dyso

I’ve been using this vacuum for a couple of weeks now and I’m pretty impressed. It does seem to pick up far better than my previous one but this may simply be because the filters are new. It is incredibly light and I practically like that it can be left standing without having to attach a holder to the wall as you do with many of the battery-powered stick vacuums and all the tools/pole attach niftily to make it pretty compact for storage. It also converts easily from a stick vacuum to a hand vacuum and the brush bar can be switch on/off as needed.
Another plus is having 2 batteries so you can have one as backup to finish up when you run out of charge. Battery life also seems pretty decent, sorry, I’ve not actually timed it but compares well against my last 2 battery vacuums.
There are a few negatives I’ve found so far however. The instructions are rubbish, emptying it is tricky and often messy as the base releases fine but the space inside is so tight that the dust and debris often needs to be encouraged out. The other problem in fairness is not particular to this model and that’s the lack of a thin crevice tool for getting down the side of fixed cushions and into other narrow spaces.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersVery impressed with this Hoover 500 Pets Energy!

Surprisingly packs away very small, which is great if you have limited storage space or don’t want it to be too obvious when tucked away somewhere.

We have 9 pets in total, so keeping on top of the hair is always a challenge but this is great for clearing up hard floors and carpet. The Pets Turbo brush makes cleaning off the sofa very easy.

Having the second battery is great, although I find I am able to get everything done without the first battery running out, but it does come in handy in case you forget to put it on charge meaning no half-hoovered house!

This is also very light and agile, surprisingly light! It allows me to get around all the furniture and corners of the house with ease.

I would recommend this no matter what your hoover requirements are, this covers all bases 🙂

I was in all honesty sceptical about this product having been a die-hard Dyson fan for a considerable time, even the size and weight of the box made me think this wouldn’t measure up. HOWEVER……the agility of this hoover meant I could get under radiators without banging and bumping the skirting and pipes; I could hoover under the sofa and other bits of furniture because the head and hose tilted to allow it and the head can even turn to a 90 degree angle so that I could get up alongside the kickboards in the kitchen – the upright Dyson was simply too bulky to get into these places.

The hoover is so lightweight by comparison to my old hoover it almost felt insubstantial. I have however found immediate benefits, it can be easily carried around the house, and with no cord trailing, it was picked up and used by my 13 yr old daughter to hoover her own room (she was very impressed). I can definitely see this being a big bonus for anyone that lacks upper body strength, whether due to age or other physical limitation.

The additional small rotary head, which I think they intended to get pet hair of furniture, serves that purpose but it is also fantastic when the top hand held section is detached from the main body and used on the stairs.

The bin is quite small and did prove a little difficult to empty because the pet hair, girl hair and general fluff seemed to lodge around the cyclone part. It was however easy to take the whole bin off and open the filter section so that the filter could be cleared. I personally didn’t mind this but could see how it might annoy some people and when I have looked at other stick style hoovers they are equally limited on bin size.

I have tested the hoover on tile, laminate, carpet and rugs and have found all to be well cleaned. It was as easy as a press of a button to switch between hard floors and carpet modes. The turbo button is also good on problem areas. I did think the standard of hoovering was better generally once I had fitted the window wiper looking gliders that come in the box.

Battery life was fine especially as an extra(separate) battery comes with this model. Its so inconspicuous I haven’t hidden it away in a cupboard although I can see how much less space it will take up and will probably think about using the wall mount in our understairs cupboard.

I have been surprised at how good this hoover works and absolutely love how agile and user friendly it is. I would have given a 5* rating if I did not have doubts about its suction power by comparison with my current hoover. Overall I think with time I might come to prefer it because of the additional features which make it easier to use and increase the ways in which it can be used. I’m a bit of a saddo and I’m looking forward to giving the handheld a go in my car, the upholstery accessory will help to get those sneaky commute snack-crumbs out of the cracks in my seats 😉

Don't be fooled by the size and weight of the box

I have only used it 3 times so far but I am really impressed! I would never expect such a lightweight item would work so well. We live in a 2 bed flat with 2 pets (cat and dog) and this hoover managed to pick up all pet hair not only from the hard floors but especially from carpets. The motorised head for carpets works so well with pet hair that makes the classic, heavy vacuum no point using any more. Also, the motorised head makes it even easier to hoover since it practically moves on it’s own and there is no need to push and rub against the carpet to try for a deep clean.
Battery is decent- it lasted around 15-20 mins on standard and carpet mode (no turbo) and allowed me to hoover 2/3 of the flat. But with spare battery this is not a problem since you just put the other battery on and keep going.

Only negative is the bin is not very easy to empty. It is easy to open it but especially if it is full of hair you need something like a stick to help emptying it. But there are so many positives I still give the product 5 stars.

Loving it so far nice and light. Super light and good suction but not the strongest. Def benefit from two batteries . Better for a small house or flat though or as a second vacuum for quick or spot cleaning for bigger houses. V.easy to use different attachments or turn into a handheld that can also be used in your car. Small dust compartment than usual but not an issue for me.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersI like the lightness of it battery power not as long as it says but as you have spare battery that not really a problem the one real downfall is size of dust box it is small and not easy to get all dust out.small

Very lightweight, compact and stores easily the spare battery is really useful as is the storage bag. The suction on normal mode isn’t that good but on turbo and carpet mode is brilliant. The waste unit is difficult to empty, its quite small and the dust clogs up and refuses to budge. The whole waste unit unscrews too, to completely remove, but although easier to empty it is very stiff and fiddly to fix back on. Overall I’m pleased with my purchase.
