Very happy with it. Cleaned my whole flat in no time
A little bit heavy
Can’t comment on battery life as only used it once
Good suctio
Decent enough but poor on suction especially using the long pipe as soon as you turn it off the debris falls back down the pipe
For value for money it was good and gets the job done but it isn’t no dyson, suction is ok but need it on turbo constantly which in turn drains the battery quicker. I can only do downstairs then charge for a few hours and finish off upstairs.
Really good Vacuum, very easy to manoeuvre, strong suction on floors and carpets, best vacuum I’ve ever had!!
Bought for a friend who found her own vac too heavy
Although the battery life is about 35 minutes it’s enough fir me. Light and easy to use with good suctio
Was a replacement for h300 seems to have more suction and is specially for pets. Easy to useots of features
For 99 it does the job I bought it for.. sore back can’t sweep up easily. This is great no effort. It’s light enough the suction is great for my wooden floors. Easy to empty and all the filters are washable so no smells.
he G-tech died and missing the cordless feature. Tried this, super light easy to use, fairly quiet and easy to manoeuvre. Two down points, can be tricky to empty if the us hair stuck round filter and you have to use turbo for pet hair. On the whole really pleased with it, bit more suction please.
Brilliant cordless hoover, I have lots of pets and it picks up the pets hair better than any other I have had.
Frickin heavy… Handle is also thicc AF so be ready for some wrist strain… BUT it has a light on the front incase you have a power cut and need to Hoove
Very good product for material and suction power on the carpet. I am not really satisfied for the power suction on the laminate.
Good every day cleaner . Best on hard floors. Not as light as I thought it would be. Good battery life.
I love it. Definitely better than my previous one I had
It’s light and easy to use, the charge seems reasonable. ( I sometimes use it just for fun!)
What I would like is a proper manual
Excellent product good value for money fit really easily recommend it 100%
looks a good hoover.first time using cordless one,so will know in time how it works.
Great piece of kit I manage the whole house in a single charge is easy to use looks great not too loud ans gets most things a corded hoover would get
Overall very impressed
Amazing hoover. It pick ups from the floor and carpet even the smallest rubbish. Very powerful hoover . It really cleans the floors.
This Hoover is a fantastic product. Its light, easy to use, gets in places the larger models dont, fantastic on the stairs, easy to empty, smashing gadgets that come with the hoover. I can not praise it enough. Oh and it is well packed and no problem putting it together, all the different boxes are numbered and you just know where each piece goes. Highly recommended, well worth the money.
This is for my mum and she loves it and very easy & light weight which she needs
This is a good little vacuum, not the best suction i have ever used but i don’t think you get the same king of suction with a cordless as you would with a corded. Was given this to test at half the price for a true and honest review
Very lightweight, this detracts from its power. Really good at doing the job it was designed for. Battery lasts a good half an hour. Easy to clean and easy to store. Well done Hoover!
This is cheap, so dont expect Dyson performance. It’s not bad too be honest. My model is not great with pet hair, but there is a pet hair version for that. Remember this is just a handheld, so some of the other reviews are a little unfair. I wouldnt pay full price, but it is discounted often. Its ok.
Great value for money, good suction, light only downside battery life ok but takes long time to recharge
Hoover h-free 700 pets 3 in 1.
Arrived well packaged with no damage.
Comes complete with a number of accessories, a quick look on the Hoover site will list these. All work well.
Positives:
Excellent value for money – one of the cheaper hand held cordless vacuums.
Motorised carpet head with LED lights which is useful for under sofa’s, beds etc…
Good battery life even on boosted power. Easily does a couple of large carpeted rooms.
Stands upright by itself – may sound pointless but makes it a lot easier to store or even when in use.
Light weight and really easy/quick to use. No cables to plug in or cylinder to hoist around.
Accessories are easy to attach and detach, simple click on and off.
Power switch as well as trigger. The switch keeps the Hoover on without having to hold the trigger. This is really useful when vacuuming large areas and makes it easier to hold for longer.
Negatives:
Not as powerful as a Dyson – make that nowhere near as powerful. Or a traditional plugged in vacuum. However it is powerful enough on boost for keeping the house clean.
A bit cheap feeling vs more premium brands. However it’s about half the price!
So all in all a really good value buy. Would I get it as my sole vacuum? Possibly. We use it as the every day vacuum in a busy family house with a traditional cylinder vacuum for the deep cleans. For this it has proved brilliant and a great buy.
This was a very welcome addition to my home. With lots of children I’m constantly vacuuming and it gets a bit much using our full sized, heavy one, which is laborious and also cumbersome for smaller ‘spills’ and crumbs.
This Hoover is a fantastic, rechargeable, lightweight and slimline versatile vacuum which can just about do any job you need it to with less effort from yourself.
The great little Hoover can split into being a ‘dustbuster’, can extend to having long pipe or shorter pipe and also with the attachments can be used for upholstery too easily. Being smaller and slimmer doesn’t mean they’ve sacrificed any power – on a full charge this is as strong as my regular vacuum and manoeuvres perfectly and quickly and lightly between my furniture, under my furniture and over carpets, rugs and hard floors.
Absolutely love this, it’s easy to empty and super easy to charge as you can even remove the battery and charge it to save bringing the whole hoover over to the power point. Highly recommended, great as a main or secondary vacuum.
Lightweight.
Suitable for a quick clean up if you spilled something.
I used it in the kitchen for cleaning up the work surface if I spill something.
The clip for keeping the power button in, tends to unlock and turn off the hoover which can get annoying after a while.
I don’t find it powerful enough even when on carpet mode.
Not a full house hoover.
I find myself going back to my mains powered Dyson for the stairs and quicker cleaning all around the house.
My new dyson died and while we were waiting for it to be fixed we bought this. It is brilliant. So much so that we sold the dyson.
I like the design of this hoover, it’s easy to use and has a trigger, to keep it on. Works really well on turbo, but lacks power on standard, unfortunately battery life on turbo is short. My house is relatively tidy (no pets or kids) so copes ok, might not elsewhere. Like the tool choice but the double ended one the brush does not stay put, travels away from the floor.
This is a decent cordless vacuum that can be used as a normal vacuum cleaner with a long handle or turned into a small hand-held cleaner. It does a reasonable job at both, but I found the suction to be a bit lacking for use as a full-sized cleaner and have tended to use it a lot more often in portable mode. It comes with a decent variety of attachments which means it can be used for lots of different cleaning jobs around the house. It’s really light, which makes it easy to move around the house and manoeuvre while cleaning, which is a major plus point. It’s also easy to charge and a full charge is more than enough to get all the hoovering done. Definitely recommended as a portable cleaner that can occasionally double up as a full-sized vacuum when needed.
Very pleased with it. So far so good. It takes me 10 minutes to hoover my whole place (1 bed flat) and battery still full. Very happy customer. Good alternative to the more expensive brands. Ultimately does the same thing more or less. Thank you. Delivery quick and reliable as expected.
A very good Cordless Hoover. Have one large dog and a very furry cat. Perfect machine for us.
I received this product as part of a review program in return for an unbiased review. As soon as I assembled Hoover. I just couldn’t wait to test. Once I started using it I was amazed. It also clean shaggy rugs too. I was amazed with the restuls.
You can use it in all kinds of flooring. You can also turn it to handheld hoover. So it doesn’t only have multi task tools. But it is space saving hoover. The tools you receive are very amazing. You can use it for even in the smallest areas with the tools included. I would say go for it.
I think any one with disabilities like me should try one of these lovely, after my traditional heavy one up right one. Which I cannot use any more. This Hoover is very lightweight and very easy to manoeuvre. l would recommend my Hoover .
I’ve never had a cordless vacuum before, and am definitely sold. Wow, scarily I use it much more often than my corded vacuum because it’s easy to just pick up and move/use quickly. I do find it top heavy though because of the motor being at the top of the stick rather than down by the brush. No doubt this is something you get used to with a cordless and it may increase my biceps. I do feel though, that having the weight at the bottom of the vacuum will help increase effectivity. I’ve heard that a lot of cordless vacuums don’t stand up by themselves. This one does as long as you balance it carefully. I now rest it against a wall because it’s fallen over too often. So lots of positives. However, there are negatives too – I find the ‘suck’ is just not good enough. It vacuums up loose surface dirt easily but isn’t good for something that’s a little deeper in the carpet and it isn’t great unless your hard surface is perfectly flat. ie it doesn’t pick up particles satisfactorily that are in the grouting grooves between tiles. The bin is easy to empty. My initial reaction was that it looked small, but considering it only picks up loose dirt, it is big enough for its requirements. I found the fact that it takes 5 hours to charge very frustrating. If you run out of power, you pretty much have to accept that that’s the vacuuming done for that day. I’d like to leave the ‘turbo’ on all the time, but that chews battery power …. And I find leaving it on ‘carpet’ so that the brush rotates also helps the suck-ability. Changing attachments/disconnecting the motor to put on for charging – I find that requires two hands and isn’t easy, but I guess that’s better than it not being attached securely. So overall, yes, it’s great and I’m definitely sold on cordless, but because of the poor suck I would use this machine to pick up quick spills and use my more powerful corded vacuum for serious cleaning.

When I recieved my new hoover I couldn’t wait to try it out ,there was lots of different tools and I didn’t know what each was for , it was a bit complex so I had to read the instructions then it was time to try it out. I have hard floors downstairsand it just glides over the floor easily only took 2 mins to hoovering living room and it picked up lots of pet hair and dust,we have a British blue cat and he malts all the time so his hair gets everywhere . I found this so easy to use and although it is a little top heavy it is easy for me to use as I have arthritis in my hands . Hoovering the stairs is simple ,it only takes a second to change the attachments for each area so whole house is easy to complete now ,no unplugging and plugging back in . My kids couldn’t wait to tidy there rooms and hoover now so it is a miracle.Read less
Yes, I recommend this
Great Hoover,Very effective at picking up every little bit of dust and pet hair. Light to hold and easy to move around corners and use on stairs.
Really light, great for stairs and cleans dog hairs no problem. Love it!
Battery is good and indicator light really useful.
There is a lot to like about this cordless vac from Hoover with only a few minor drawbacks that lost it a star.
Compared to similar products from Vax and Dyson, the Hoover H-Free 700 feels much heavier. If you compare the different manufacturers weight guides, they all seems to sit around the same weight, so I’m not sure whether the Hoover is actually heavier or it’s just an ergonomic thing. When used as a stick vac, I found the additional weight negligible, however once using as a handheld with the attachments for stairs, furniture etc I really started to feel the strain in my hand all the way up to my shoulder. This issue is exacerbated when using the power trigger button in the handle rather than using the power lever located next to it. On that subject, I really liked having the option of both the trigger and the lever to power the vac, however it is very easy to knock the lever while in use, accidentally switching the vac off.
Over all the quality seems very good, though the plastic feels cheaper compared to rival brands. The floor nozzle is of a good size and provides good edge cleaning on both carpet and hard floor. The brush bar can be set to rotate or not at the touch of button on the control panel. The buttons are all conveniently placed and self explanatory. At first I thought the lights on the front of the floor nozzle to be slight over-kill on feature front, however I am now converted! Having used the vac for a couple of weeks I’ve found those lights really useful when venturing into dark spaces such as under beds which this Hoover reaches into very easily.
The power levels are great. Even on the lowest setting the brush bar works well, and I can do the whole house leaving it looking acceptably surface clean. For a deeper clean, I did need to use the turbo and it did a great job for a cordless stick, even on embedded pet hair. Naturally, using the turbo limits the time you can get out of a single battery charge. I can easily do the whole house and furniture on a single charge on the normal setting; using the Turbo, I can just about do one level of the house and the stairs. The same is true however of any other cordless stick I’ve used. The LED indicates the battery levels at all times and is easy to see when in use.
It is very easy to empty and clean. There is a lot more space around central unit inside the dust chamber than in the Dyson or Vax sticks, which means the Hoover is far easier to empty and doesn’t block like it’s rivals, a very big plus!
It comes with everything you need to wall mount it (and the tools) for storage. If you can conveniently do this next to a plug socket all the better as you can charge it in the mount. However if like me, you don’t have a convenient bit of wall next to a socket, the battery can be removed for easy charging.
A couple of tweaks and this would be the perfect stick vac.
This cordless hoover comes well packaged in a box with a handy carry handle.
The instructions are more pictorial and i personally didn’t find them that easy to follow, however, when you actually just pick up the hoover bits themselves, putting them together is very obvious and simple.
The connectors for the parts click together with a very solid feel which is the same for the hoover overall. It does feel like a quality item. That said, one downside i noticed quickly was the covering on the hoover head does scratch very easily. Over time this could end up losing a bit tatty. Also, the part connectors are quite firmly in place one joined and are quite tight to remove again – this may cause anyone who has problems gripping with their hands, a challenge. The upside is they won’t fall apart while you hoover.
The hoover is very easy to use and does glides over surfaces, while still ‘gripping’ at carpet. I didn’t feel like i had to push very hard for it to move which made running around the house easier than a corded hoover or upright.
One point to note is, despite the solid feel etc i don’t believe this hoover picks up as well as a corded upright would, however, i’m not sure that’s the purpose. At first glance, the dust container appears quite small but it is absolutely adequate as long as you remember to empty it regularly (which is more hygienic anyway). This isn’t a hover for carrying out a deep clean but is ideal for day to day tidy ups.
This is also the quietest hoover I’ve used with quite a gentle rev up, so ideal for those living in flats.
Battery life has been around half an hours worth of use, then stick it on charge for a couple of hours with the handy wall mounting, which is very easy to fit.
All in all a good hoover for every day use around a normal sized home or flat. Would definitely recommend.
What a pleasure to vacuum with this cordless lightweight stick vacuum by Hoover ( which I’ve always been a fan of, Hoover a very trusted brand for me and mum to ).
Absolutely love the hygienic emptying bin at the top of the vacuum, the dust and debris is caught there and tightened into a ball of fluff for really easy disposable, ( so impressive) and so easy to keep clean with no mucky hands.
Very light weight vacuuming and gets right into those corners due to its slimline frame and right under furniture because of the flat base makes my job so much easier.
Full control trigger , or pull back trigger for a full vacuum, rotating brush bar can be switched on/off to suit all floor types plus a turbo button for extra power.
It really worked well for me both on the carpet and the kitchen floor tiles, it picked up extremely well.
It also converts into handheld and so easily detachable for cleaning your furniture, mattress and even your car, it comes with its own tools and is great for high reach cleaning as well, getting down those horrid cobwebs.
I found I could clean one big room about half hour on full power before running down the battery which I was pleased , and the four stage led battery status indicator let’s you know how much charge is left so you don’t run out of power, you charge up the vacuum at the top and simply plug into socket, ( no heavy batteries attached to the vacuum ).
This vacuum is so ideal for people who can’t manage heavy hoovering and so hygienic and easily kept clean it’s a pleasure to work with.
Very proud and very happy to highly recommend and a very competitive price tag as well.
Great for hoovering as and when needed. Easy to one hand carry whilst tidying because it’s lightweight and ergonomic. Battery life means I can clean the flat, up and down stairs and still leave it in the corner for anything that comes up. Good for light work – dust, coffee grounds , hair etc. Can go a while between emptying. Actually good for it’s design but if you any kind of heavier dirt that gets left behind.
This is a review of the Hoover H-Free 700 – easy to use, effective and very handy vacuum cleaner with a competitive price tag.
Comparing to very similar vacuum cleaner from another well-known brand that cost double the price, this H-Free 700 Hoover seems nearly as good and even has one extra tool that the other one doesn’t.
The vacuum has quite good suction and the battery last for a long time, it is usually enough to clean the whole 3 bedroom flat or for many more smaller jobs.
The Hoover comes with all the necessary extensions:
1. Large dusting tool that doubles as an upholstery tool – very practical for cleaning inside the car or soft furniture.
2. Crevice tool with small dusting brush on the top that can be pulled up or down depending if you want to use it at the moment or not – I find it very useful.
3. Large floor nozzle with a spinning brush and a LED light. It is super easy to maneuver, easier than the one in the more expensive vacuum we have. And as much as I love the light which is a brilliant idea (no more missed spots of dust), I’m not so happy about the brush release The brush is removable for cleaning / removing hair but the mechanism seems to be rather flimsy, like those in lunchboxes (photo attached).
There’s very little to choose between this and a Dyson.
Pro’s:
Cost
“On” Button as oppossed to trigger
Upright stand
Use – around 35 mins
Negative’s
Charge Time (Longer) … unsurprising as it lasts longer
Consideration:
The Dyson is way more powerful and the one I have has 2 modes. Normal and Boost. I always run it at boost. On Boost it lasts around 20 mins but it is back up and running again in around an hour. The Hoover runs at much lower suction but lasts longer (35 mins). It’s a close run thing if I were to choose now what I would buy. The thing with a Dyson is the after sales support is superb. Over the years I have the uprights and the wand types and when anything has gone wrong Dyson have sent next day replacement parts and talked me through fitting them. I think you also need consider what your living conditions are. I have cleaners once a week so the place gets a good clean and then for me the wand vacuum is for the car and occassional spills and problems. So a wand vaccuum makes more sense for me as a ad-hoc cleaner and therefore when I need something it is very short use and needs to be strong and no messing about. So I’ll happily sacrifice battery time for suction power and the money issue is worth paying more for because of the after sales support. The few things Hoover has better don’t make enough of a difference against a Dyson.
As other reviewers have mentioned this hoover was very easy to assemble and it gave me no issues.
It is very lightweight so easy to take up and down stairs. It also has a very good suction. The battery lasts a decent amount of time and has an indicator for when the charge is getting low. I’m in a 2 bedroom house and the charge lasts me going through all my rooms; it may become an issue for larger houses though.
I found the light a great addition as it comes in handy for seeing under furniture/ beds without the need to pull everything out and move things to make sure you get everything!
The price is good compared to some other well known brands. I highly recommend
For the last year or so, I’ve been using the following vacuum cleaner https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01N1A1QUD/ref=oh_aui_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 – A Vax ‘Stick’ similar to this Hoover model. I have been very impressed with the Vax, however, with the arrival of this Hoover Lightweight Cordless Stick, I may switch brand loyalty. The Hoover is very impressive, offers very strong performance and battery life, and the comprehensive range of tools, fitted easily, offer up a pleasing variety of functionality. It can convert to a handheld for doing car interiors and furniture. Although it doesn’t have a massive dust compartment, it’s decent enough for most domestic uses. I am very pleased with the product, and am happy to recommend it highly.
Comparable to a Dyson upright. I’ve reviewed previous cordless Hoovers which clogged easily or failed to suck up anything heavier than dust. This is really quite powerful when combined with the Turbo mode and carpet brush activated and passes the dry cereal test with ease. For under 200 it’s a good buy.
This hoover has good and bad aspects
On the good side it is very light weight and mucher quieter than my previous hoover (although the cat still hates it). Being cordless makes it easier to zip around the house and it makes the job of hoovering the whole house seems like an easier and quicker job. The different adapters are also a nice touch for use with different jobs.
On the negative side I don’t think it is quite as effective as picking up dirt as my old hoover. I also find switching adapters isn’t easy. They might ease up in time but I find the buttons a little stiff and I image someone elderly would really struggle.
All in all I am pleased with it due to the lightness and lack of cord which makes a job I hate much easier.
Hoover have been around for many years now, and their products have always been very good. This cordless hoover is easy to assemble and easy to use. The suction is impressive, and I never felt like I had to keep going over the same area of flooring to get the desired look.
The battery power lasts a decent while, and it’s great that the amount of power left is displayed on the top of the hoover. The attachments are easy to attach and detach, but don’t squeeze or pull too hard for fear of damaging the connecting part.
I would recommend this for anyone looking for a mid range vaccum cleaner.
I’m a fan of cordless vacuum cleaners, which have been getting better and better over time. Dyson set the benchmark for design and efficiency some time ago, but others manufacturers have worked hard to produce competitive products, the Hoover H-Free 700 is one of them.
Included in the box is the main “hand-held” unit which contains the motor, the controls and the dust bin. This attaches to either one of the supplied tools or an “extension tube”. Also included is a rechargeable 22v lithium-ion battery, a battery charger and a wall mount.
The build quality is excellent, and assembly is easy. All the components click together easily and seamlessly and come apart at the push of a button. The exception is the battery, which I found very difficult to remove until I found you need to push it in slightly before pressing the button.
The lithium battery has a runtime of up to 35 minutes and it charges in about five hours. The battery can be charged either in or out of the unit. You can check battery level and recharging status at any time on the 4-LED display. The four LEDs light up progressively, all four being lit when fully charged. However, when out of the unit, there is no indication of the battery level.
Control is by a trigger switch, with a pull-back lever for continuous use, and a Turbo button to provide additional power. As you use it the LEDs go out one-by-one until the power is exhausted. A “carpet” button turns the rotating brush bar on or off. I found the trigger to be too sensitive, it’s very easy to start the motor when you don’t really want to.
The- H-Free 700 can be converted into a handheld for cleaning the inside of your car or for upholstery. It can also be used for high reach cleaning, as any of the tools can be attached onto the end of the extension tube.
Dirt is collected in a transparent bin, which can be emptied without removing it from the unit by releasing the bottom flap. The dust bin can be easily removed, and inside is a mesh filter which can be removed for cleaning. To remove it you have to unscrew the retaining knob; beware it has a left-hand thread.
Airflow is through a removable filter that prevents dust being returned to the atmosphere; it can be taken out and washed whenever you wish. The filter holder slots into the top of the handle and my wife, who has small hands, found that when cleaning stairs, the joint in the between the two parts pressed into her hand causing her pain.
Should the rotating brush get tangled with hairs it can be easily removed for cleaning; no tools are required.
The floor unit can be swivelled around obstacles and can be laid flat to get under furniture and an LED light on the nozzle improves visibility in corners and under furniture.
So, how does it clean? It’s OK, but not particularly impressive. With cordless devices, there’s always a trade-off between the life of the battery and operating power, For me, I would be prepared to sacrifice a little operating time for extra power, although I suppose this can be achieved by constant use of the Turbo button.
Is it a serious challenger to Dyson? I don’t think so but, at about half the price, it’s more than adequate and excellent value for money. I’m sure there’s a place in a very competitive market for this product.
I acquired this hoover to augment my plug in cleaner. I am not an enthusiastic vacuumer but equally, I don’t enjoy a dirty home. The idea was that a cordless unit would enable me to quickly skim around when a full slog wasn’t necessary.
Since this Hoover arrived, I haven’t bothered with my corded cleaner which, now resides in my shed. Admittedly, I live in a fairly small bungalow, but the battery lasts long enough for me to clean the whole house. It is light enough to swing up to take cobwebs from the ceiling and, of course, can clean inside my car without fuss.
The suction is remarkably good for such a lightweight unit and it comes with all the fancy tools that I shall ever need.
One of my better buys.
My better 3/4 seems to have quite a collection of vacuums gathered over the years by a variety of means. However a year ago we stumped up and bought a shiny new Dyson stick vacuum at 400 which, whilst excellent is a bit wallet bending. When this came up for review, I thought it would be interesting to compare the two and thus my wife – an expert in vacuums I can genuniely attest too – has give her verdict below.
Oh, and before I let her loose, one thing to remember when buying a cordless told to me by a salesman who was for once a genuinely honest bloke. The carpet sweeping head ‘grabs’ and thus can fool you into thinking you have more vacuum – or technically less pressure – than you really have. So when out looking for vacs, make sure you remove the rotor head and do a pull test against your hand or a surface the vacuum can get a good ‘stiction’ too.
The Hoover arrived in an overly large box (fairly standard for Amazon) but the actual product box was compact and if collected from a store, easy to carry with handle on the top of the box.
The product is well packaged, and Hoover are to be congratulated on using cardboard (recyclable) as opposed to polystyrene – my pet hate.
The component parts fit together with a definite reassuring click and the feel of closing the door on a quality car – you don’t have to try too hard. Once assembled the Hoover has many desirable features compared to other brands of upright cordless hoovers.
For me, one of the biggest advantages is the ability to stand the hoover up my – ahem – cordless twice the price Dyson doesn’t do this. Whilst, not the end of the world, having to lay the hoover down every time you stop to move a bit of furniture of pick something up which you don’t want to disappear up the hoover is slightly annoying, especially when on the stairs. The other advantage over the aforementioned brand is the ability to lock the ‘on’ button, so you don’t need to keep your finger on the trigger – once again, not a major problem, but makes use a lot easier.
There is a light at the bottom of the hoover which helps to illuminate under sofas etc and as the head rotates down through 180 degrees, the hoover will go under beds and furniture with ease.
The dust collector, whilst small compared to an old fashioned bagged vacuum cleaner, is perfectly adequate for the average home and, due to it’s size it encourages emptying regularly so as not to block the filter and thus also extendsthe life of the hoover. You use it less because the filter performance is not reduced.
The filter is simple to remove although I’m not sure how the it will fair as it does feel quite flimsy in comparison to other cleaners I’ve had, time will tell. This hoover is definitely for home use and I’m certain wouldn’t stand any industrial or DIY use.
The brush bar can be switched on and off depending on use, not a feature on my Dyson, and the removal for cleaning is so simple, it is a joy.
The tools provided are easy to interchange and turn the hoover in to a handheld device for cleaning stairs/curtains/sofas, the addition of a flexible hose would have been nice and an extra battery also, but for the price (half that of a Dyson) I think this is definitely a comparable product.
One happy wife!
I’m going to add my few pennies here as well. This Hoover has an easily removable battery unlike the Dyson so it does have flexibility of charging on it’s side. The Dyson has to be charged as one unit so you need to find wall space close to a plug to do this and not all cupboards have a power outlet.
But…the other advantage of having a removable battery is that you can have a couple spare. Which is a great idea if you can buy them – which you can’t. At least not yet. I checked their website and nope and then Googled it with a big fat zero. I’m sure this will happen but right now that does not seem to be the case.
Overall though, unless you really want the Dyson brand name, the fact is that performance of this vacuum is similar and the price is half of the one we bought a year ago. Quality is similar and there arae a couple of advantages such as the removable battery and the fact that this will stand up by itself. Given the two side by side and opening my wallet I’d have to say, this Hoover would be the one I buy over the Dyson because it offers far better value for money.
Whilst not as good as a corded vacuum for ultimate performance when compared to it’s peers, this is a solid five star item.
My previous hoover branded vacuum cleaner was returned for a refund so I tried this not expecting too much. It’s definitely a higher spec than its predecessor and over all I’m impressed with it.
The vacuum can be used as an upright model or it can be easily changed into a hand held version for nooks and crannies, stairs, counter tops or for doing the car ect. It’s easy to charge with a one point electric cable that plugs in much like charging a phone or reading tablet.
For myself I tend to prefer a bottom heavy design but many others prefer this style or top heavy dor ultimate control. Certainly it’s well suited to wheelchair users as it offers the high control and allows you to guide it using your wrist instead of upper arm strength.
Simple to empty and put back together for use.
