This is a great piece of kit for a great price. The 40v battery will give you all the cutting capability that most people will need. However, it’s very heavy in comparison to the 18v Bosch I also own. For a cutter with this power the tooth gap should be larger than the 23mm it has and a longer blade. The Bosch 36v equivalent has a 30mm gap and a 65cm blade but costs 100 more than the Hyundai. The Bosch also has an anti-blocking system that automatically reverses the blades when attempting to cut through thicker material. The Hyundai has a rotating handle making cutting vertical faces easier.
I was undecided about a cordless hedge trimmer as I have fairly thick hedges and I was unsure a cordless would be suitable. But this performs well on all but the thickest of branches in my hedges which include small fit trees a bay tree and bamboo. Additional benefits are that it is comfortable to hold, well built and the batteries charge quickly.
I bought this as I was fed up with petrol hedge cutters that refuse to start when you need it. but wanted
the versatility and the power that they offer. have had rechargeable ones before and always needed to keep a spare battery was intrigued with this one the Hyundai 40-volt cordless as it has a large battery capacity
and was supposed to last about an hour.. like the broad cuter and length so bought it not cheap
To be honest and many others on the market it seemed to cover all the main points well, took it for cut so to speak This is one of the better tools that this company has made to handle quite thick stems with a breeze got my vote well done Hyundai
Item turned up really quickly, and the battery was already three quarters charged so I could use it right away.
It’s nice and simple to use, trims bushes very well, doing a nice neat job and the battery lasts a long time.

I have a big laurel hedge and several trees in my garden and for years I have used either a corded or petrol hedge trimmer. Having sliced through the electric cable 3 times in the last 12 months and got fed up of exhaust fumes and the smell of fuel oil, I decided to try a battery operated trimmer. I started with a secondhand 18V trimmer, which is fine for light work on small shrubs and young tree branches but it couldn’t handle the laurel or conifer. So, after reading the reviews etc, I bought this 40V Hyundai battery trimmer and I wish I had done so well before now. Its cutting blade and it cutting capacity is everything I need. The battery life at around 40/45 minutes is okay and it only takes about 40 minutes to recharge, so if you get organised it all works out. Overall, I am impressed and reckon this is an excellent piece of kit.

Best cordless trimmer I have used. On a Leylandii hedge gave a razor sharp cut with little effort. Could not find any fault with it.
