Received in a carton that had been opened before. A part missing( a bung), and obviously had been partially assembled. Disappointed that Amazon recycled dispatched goods without care of their next customer! Strimmer is good, Amazon doesn’t own Internet marketing and needs to step up,.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI bought this strimmer for cutting very long grass , thistles and nettles around our horses paddocks. I ask it to work really hard and it’s certainly been up to the task so far, we did 3 hours this afternoon in 27 degrees heat. The line strimmer and metal brush cutter are easily fitted and removed and I like the toolkit and fuel measuring bottle. Lots of adjustment to get it nicely balanced and the included harness is good enough.
It’s not a Stihl, but it’s about a third of the price and it does everything that I’ve asked of it. I would certainly recommend i

I can’t really review this product as it was faulty when it arrived, but what I can do is applaud Hyundai and Amazon on their returns policy it was picked up 2 days after delivery and my money refunded 5 days later. I will order another one soon and give it a full review.
Thanks for the amazing service Hyundai and Amazon.

On the heavy side to use and not to easy to move about but it does clear tough brambles and nettles. A shorter shaft would have been better for me and the harness is not to comfortable due to the weight of the machine that runs well when you manage to get it started from cold that can be a bitch.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersEasy to assemble. The harness takes a bit of adjusting to get a good fit.

I was particularly interested in how easy it would be to start as my old brush-cutter could be a nightmare at times. I shouldn’t have worried – started 2nd or 3rd pull of the cord.

The three-bladed cutter is pretty ineffective – I’ll be going back to a saw-toothed blade.

Purchased for my husband, Does exactly what we needed it for, light and easy to use. There is a nack to starting it but once he got the hang of it it starts first time. He was very pleased

Simple to assemble. Starts well and handles even the toughest strimming.

Not the easiest to assemble but ok. Took some time to put together. Started first time and left to run in. Once run in it is a powerful strimmer but a bit on the heavy side. Need to balance it carefully when setting up the harness. Quite noisy but fine if wearing ear muffs. I use high quality oil when mixed with the petrol after previously having engine problems with another brand.

we have a field that has every thing from grass to large weeds and we need to keep it fairly tidy. the gear was quite easy to put together except for the harness which took three of us to sort it out, it would have made a great u tube posting because we looked like a right load of lemons, but we got there in the end.
The strimmer is a little difficult to start when it does fire up, leave it running for a couple of minutes and then its fine. the cutting disc is very good and cuts all normal weeds with no trouble at all.
We are pleased we bought it and would recommend it to everyone.

    I like it!
I needed a strimmer and a brush cutter so I wasn’t looking for a cheap ‘professional’ grass strimmer, needed something with the bull horn handle and the capacity to attach a metal blade. And, as this was so cheap I figured I’d give it a go. It seems great! Starts well and has power. Cuts stuff well and the bump head works well.
I ran a gardening business for years so I’m used to using more expensive brush cutters, This replaced my 750 Tanaka brush cutter which finally died after 17years, and my cheap Stihl grass strimmer. And I am very happy with it for domestic use on grass edging and some scrub clearance (bracken and brambles).
Only negative is it I am still struggling to work out how to set the handles up comfortably for my shape and so it still cuts level with the ground. I think the bull bar isn’t as wide as I need so my wrist is at a silly angle and aches after 45mins or so.
Let’s hope it has a long and useful working life with me!

It’s absolutely fantastic for the money, was easy to put together and get it started and once going it did a great job of cutting back overgrown bits of our allotment.

The metal plate that clamps the handles was tightened far too much when it was assembled causing one of the screw holes to strip causing the handles to be clamped by three screws and not the required four. I contacted Hyundai and under their instructions sent the whole brush cutter back. The cutter was less than thirty days old so there was no problem with them sending a replacement when they are in stock

Fantastic piece of kit all the attachments are versatile for the garden the harness you receive with the kit is not fit for purpose I had to purchase a better quality one apart from that well worth buying also invest in a better quality chain for replacing the one you get with the kit because it doesn’t last very long but it is still a good investme

Easy to put together with clear instructions. Solid build and easy to balance. Started on first pull out of the box. It worked as well as any far more expensive models I have used. I particularly like the design and ease of use of the bump head. What Hyundai have done is produce a professional quality item at a bargain price. I’m really happy.

Seems well made for the price. Had a bit of difficulty in getting it to start but realised it doesn’t seem to need the choke in warm weather.

Good 52cc engine, cuts through the grass really good. Quite a bit of vibration when using the blade but maybe I didn’t have it central enough. Harness is good a good fit as I’m quite short and thought this would be a problem. Would recommend.

For those who would rather have 2 stoke action rather than corded this strimer is the perfect tool to purchase. Comes with enough cord to get you started and a handy fuel mixing jar. Powerful cutting action in the long grass and comfortable with the supplied harness.

I’ve been having real issues with my previous brushcutter (cheaply made carburettor) so decided to get a new one. I already have a Hyundai lawn mower so decided to go for the same brand. I’ve had no issues with this new machine, it is solidly built and starts easily plus it is surprisingly quiet for a 50+cc engine and will cut through pretty much any grass/brambles/small branches you are likely to come across.

I am quite impressed by this machine. I bought it on the strength of my experience with a Hyundai mower and I have not been disappointed. Easy to assemble, easy to start and very impressive power, it’s first task was a very overgrown “lawn’ with weeds and tough grasses even a bit of bamboo despite the quite thin line it got through it with ease, I would have expected some binding with most machines.
Too early to assess long term reliability.
The harness is a bit of a fiddle to set up but it works well enough when you have it to your liking.
It was obviously a machine that had previously been returned but everything was there and it works perfectly.
    Hence only 4 stars

    Very easy to assemble
    Very easy to use
This machine is my second Hyundai Strimmer/ Brushcutter . My first model was HYBC5200 52cc , which I used for many hours , over many years . It was a great workhorse that finally gave up
What’s very important to the user , is setting the balance of the machine . Obviously we are all built differently, height , arm length etc
This machine is very easy to set up the balance
My only criticism of this machine and compared to my old HYBC5200 model, is the cord shroud . It’s seems to be to flexible , therefore snagging on grass , as my old one was rigid and therefore glided over the grass whilst strimming
Other then that , I’m a very happy bunny
I would highly recommend this produc

Fantastic bit of kit. We bought this as we have a large garden that was very over grown. Within half an hour the majority of the grass was cut and we were onto the brush. Everything was easy to assemble and switching from strimmer to brush cutter couldn’t have been easier.

Slightly longer and heavier than I was expecting. Fairly easy to put together. The YouTube video helps (you need to find the right one.) But joining the lower shaft to the upper shaft is not easy. It is very difficult to connect the last cm or so up to the red line. Bit annoying, as makes you reluctant to detach to easily change blade etc, if you have to go through that each time.

Started OK but still felt as though I needed three hands. Why the fuel mixer container is half a litre when the tank takes a litre is a bit of a mystery.

Connecting to the harness is a bit of a phaff. Again three hands would be useful, at first. I think there is a knack.

Not too noisy for a two stroke. But would recommend ear defenders.

Not bad value for what I paid.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersMy previous ‘Brand’ed strimmer was the complete opposite of the above and after the engine mounting bolts snapped and the engine fell off I decided it was time to buy a new strimmer. My old strimmer was only 2 years old and hadn’t really been used that much. So, I chose this Hyundai model as a replacement and I am glad I did. I spent 4 solid weekends strimming a 400 sq metre field to within a cm of it’s life to create a meadow. This Hyundai model was far lighter than my previous strimmer, it kept going without fail all day for 8 days running and when I contacted Hyundai support with a question how to change the strimmer line (the spool was different to that in the instructions) they replied straight away and answered my query. I can’t fault this product – I’ve already had my money’s worth out of it and it looks as though it will still be going in years to come. Thanks for a great strimmer, Hyundai, it well and truly beats the pants off my previous ‘brand’.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersWe bought a self powered lawn mower last year from Hyundai and are well pleased with it in respect of both good function and value for money. Similarly when we needed a reliable brush cutter we looked no further than Hyundai for both excellent engineering and value for money. My only criticism is that the choke is difficult to work. It opens easily enough but then is difficult to close and needs a small scredriver to lever the choke off. Otherwise excelle

Petrol tank cap a wee bit cheaply made as thread not petrol tight – leaks a bit if not securely tight. Otherwise did what I needed to weeds and grass that had been left unattended for a year.

4.0 out of 5 stars Worked well once assembled.

Golden Review Award: 13 From Our UsersWhat influenced this purchase for me … I already have a Hyundai Lawn Mower which is brilliant, so I felt confident in quality. It was petrol based just like my old done in strimmer. It was on offer at a good price.
When it arrived I soon realised it was a big boy for my small garden, but over the fence I often have a battle with the weeds around the apple trees. If you’ve a wee garden I suggest a smaller trimmer.
However, when assembling, I hadn’t made sure the 2 part neck was fully engage and couldn’t understand why I could get the engine running but the cutter wouldn’t turn.
Advice, after reading the instructions, ….. double check the 2 part neck is locked in properly, make sure the wire cutter is properly fitted/or the steel blade cutter. Make sure you wear the harness and tighten it up.
And really important, get the oil/petrol mix right for hours of great trimming for the lawn you deserve.
