The product was to replace an old pond/waterfall pump. This was 1/3 of the cost and works fabulously

after using a Draper pump to move rain water from a collection tank to water butts for many years I swopped it for the Hyundai product, the Draper ran out of chuff! The Hyundai pump is good and strong, I made the mistake of not checking the attachment sizes, so had to buy a new 30mm hose attachment.
The flow is a lot stronger than the old pump so the butts get filled much quicker & I can use the hose as method of directly watering tubs and pots rather than just using watering cans .

Unpacked it, plugged it in, attached hose, put in hot tub (pump starts automatically) – went back after 45 mins & tub was empty…perfect (bought this one because its heavy duty & I have 50m run from tub to drain)

amazing pump, emptied hot tub in 2 minutes
would be better if a length of outlet tube was included with pump

I’m reviewing this pond pump and after a few months of working it stopped working, was picked up and taken to be fixed and after over a month and a few emails it was deemed unfixable and a refund was to be supplied. First email was sent on the 15 October 2020. We are now on the 22 January 2021 and after a total of 19 emails I’m still awaiting the refund. I would now not recommend this product and wished I’d just replaced it with the aqua force pond pump which I buy for all my garden customers. Lesson learnt.

Using for a fish pond and so far excellent. Also the cost of running the pump continuously, is cheaper than others

Bought this to draw water from our well to top up the pond, it replaced a cheaper pump which couldn’t lift water from deep enough down. This can with some force, takes a fraction of the time of the previous one.
    Seems very robustly made.
All in all we are very pleased with the purchase.

Designed for dirty water with small solids, this pump needs to be in at least 5″ of water to work. If you wish to drain a garden pond, have a 6″ sump in the bottom of the pond , slightly bigger diameter than the pump & you will be delighted. DO not buy the lay flat hose that Amazon suggest . You need to have semi – rigid hose, (39mm diam. works well) to begin the flow – Remember DO NOT waste money as I did on the lay flat hose! , but the pump itself is a fine piece of kit.

This is a well made powerful and efficient pump, However, it’s let down by the fact that the float switch cannot be fixed easily in the on position if draining shallower water, the less powerful model has a vertical clip to enable this.
So, you will need to somehow attach the pump in the vertical position yourself. A silly oversight by the manufacturers.
