Having reviewed numerous wifi security cameras I finally settled on this largely because of the 5MP camera and the good reviews. It definitely hasn’t disappointed.

Night vision is excellent with wide field of view. Never has the dark winter night become so clear!

Wifi setup is simple and straightforward. The camera external antennae is a plus and guarantees steady internet connection.

The camera feels sturdy and definitely well made. It is small enough not to impose itself but bold enough as a deterrent to anyone inclined to mischief.

I have set motion detection to 100 but it is not super responsive as I would wish. Am currently reading other reviews and forums and hopefully I’ll get round the camera lag.

Otherwise an excellent purchase, great price and glad to be my own Big Brother!

Very pleased with this camera. Had it installed 1 week and very impressed with the software it comes with (both on my phone and the PC). The images are clear (particularly during the day) and the human detection works well.
Setting up was easy with the instructions provided.
Have camera on the side of my house (see photos) and very pleased. Great deterrent too! Love the fact I can playback the videos via my phone and PC.

Very easy to setup and install. Quality product.

Good quality picture but when playing back videos it seems to be laggy for example, a car that drives by its records or driving by but it jumps a few seconds.

The wireless features are hopeless as it takes forever to connect to the camera and takes its time to play video backs and more annoying it sometimes fail to playback. Pointless if you are out and get a Notification but can’t view your camera live.

Overall it’s an average camera system dose the job you need to for a budget.

I have several ie Geek cameras as I find them to be great quality and value for money. This camera has loads of features and is easy to install. I like that the camera rotates for an all around view and easy to use via the app.
Picture quality is also good gives clear pictures or videos. Would excommunicated this ie Geek camera.

Excellent security camera from ie Geek

We live in a rural area without street lights and know of opportunist thefts in neighbouring villages. This security camera does exactly what it says with good night and day vision etc. I would recommend it for a fair priced security camera that does the job, and gives peace of mind.

I have several ieGeek cameras set up at work for security. Having moved into the building next door we needed a new camera and decided to try this one. Have to say I love it.

In my case installation was straight forward. I’m drawing power from another camera supply nearby so as not to have to run a separate power line.

Wifi range seems to be quite long so had no problem setting it up for wifi.

Adding the camera to the CamHi app was simple as it found it straight away on the network.

Some reviews have commented on the large size of the camera. It is quite bulky, and being white is very noticable, but I like that. I want people to know they are being watched as I think that in itself is a deterrent.

Picture-wise this is the sharpest quality of all my iegeek cameras. Both day and night vision (see the pics) are crisp.

The ability to control the rotation and zoom from the app is really cool. Movement is smooth and the picture doesn’t jerk like some cameras.

I absolutely love the ability to track humans. Once the setting has been set on the app it will detect humans and track them to the full extent of the rotation range.

I would definitely recommend this camera.

Overall I am very pleased with this camera. The only niggle I have is that I use IP Camera Viewer 4.1 on my pc to monitor my existing cameras all on one screen. I just cannot get this camera to work with this software even though the others already set up are iegeek. It sees the camera on the network but just refuses to connect. I’m trying to get support from iegeek so hopefully will get this resolved.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI really like this camera. It is easy to be connect to the current WiFi network and works absolutely fine with my other three ieGeek camera. The image and video quality is superior. The Humanoid alarm mode is easy to active and help to minimise the unnecessary alarm and it is easy to deactivate as well. The rotated function can maximise the area to be covered. The night dual colour vision mode can used as a deterrent as the bright LED light can be triggered on while motion is detected. In all, I really like this camera and highly recommend.
Aslo, I would like to have a all black colour version which could be more easy to be hidden for the purpose of security.

Crystal clear images with night dual colour modes

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersWe bought this camera for home security, but realised it is great for wildlife tracking in the garden too.

We have positioned it low (see photos) and it catches foxes and cats coming to our garden.

The camera is a step up from the static ones. It has motion detection, but also has a clever “human form” detection which means it can be set up to just react to people not trees moving etc Even cleverer it can automatically track people as they walk through (moving left and right, up and down).

The night vision has several modes, including normal IR, and one that switches on a bright LED light… all these things can be adjusted using the free phone App.

The App lets you watch the camera live, look back at recorded video (it records 24-7 on a loop if you want on an internal SD card), tilt and pan the camera and zoom into the image. You can also use the two way speaker to listen to sounds by the camera, and even speak to people outside (like a security doorbell).

It’s pretty simple to set up, so it is part of your home wifi network… this means it can automatically email you alerts (when it detects motion) including emailing a still image, and you can watch/operate the camera from anywhere you can get an internet connection.

Summery – home security for a very small investment. Good quality and works well… and the bonus of being able to watch wildlife too.

Great for home security - and wildlife watching

Make no mistake, this is a substantial camera at a very good price point. This is my 5th ieGeek camera and is probably best of the lot, the picture quality is excellent, especially for the winter dark nights and mornings (there are various settings).
It is mains powered so needs to be near a power supply (another metre of cable would be useful) and it is WiFi enabled and it has a good range with the double antennas.
I have a large drive and front garden so the auto tracking is a great addition.
Just like my other ieGeek cameras it was very easy to install (the instructions are very clear) and rapidly connects to wifi.
It seems to be solidly built, robust and hopefully waterproof.
Another advantage is that it is not set off by spiders and insects.
I always use the 128gb card in my cameras to give extra capacity.
My other cameras are black and this one is white so therefore more conspicuous but maybe that’s an advantage.
Screws, screwdriver and ethernet cable are all in the box although the supplied screws really aren’t long enough – I used my own.
    I thoroughly recommend this camera.

    An excellent security camera

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersI have 7 igeek security cameras some of which I have had for around 2 years and they have been good cameras proving to be reliable although the motion detection is a bit sensitive even after adjustment so I am basing this review on previous experience.
Good points- The camera is very easy to set up, I always use an ethernet cable rather than WiFi so I can’t comment on the WiFi but the hard wire method is good. The night vision is in colour and appears very good quality, certainly better than my other cameras (although they are fine). The coverage is brilliant, the camera can be rotated in all directions to view different areas, once set up I’m not sure how much I will use this feature but it is impressive.
Areas for improvement- The camera is bigger than I expected, probably because I have other styles and I was not expecting it to be quite as big. It is also a little more limited on how it can be mounted, it was fine for my application but my other cameras can mount on vertical or horizontal surfaces, this can only mount vertical.
Overall a good camera and recommended, I have not had it long so can’t comment on how reliable it will be over time but my other igeek cameras are fine so hopefully this will also be fine.

I installed this camera as it covers the front of the house and swivels to show the side pathway too. Movement is smooth and reliable and as you can see from the pictures the clarity is good too. What surprised me was the movement detection only picks up people and is not fooled by animals entering the field of vision. The night vision is supplemented by a mini floodlight too, another acceptable surprise.
Easy to install, instructions are clear. Worth the money

Easy to set up and install, the tracking feature is great (and does not set off if small animals or insects etc, and the fact the camera follows/tracks any would be criminals in front of our factory, frightens them away as they know they are being watched. Great that you can also talk/listen to people through it too. I put a big memory card in it so its records 24/7. The spotlights and 3 colour night modes are cool. Picture quality is very high too.

This is not a bad camera for the price. The picture quality is quite good with the wide angle lens. I have several security cameras of different brands, I believe most of them are made by the same company and just branded differently as I have found the software used is the same on at least two of the three brands I have.

With regards to this camera the only negatives which I must say are minor are:

The night vision IR leds could be stronger to give a better spread over the wide angle lens, the night vision I would say is just adequate.
I wasn’t able to attach the network aerial as the bracket assembly was too short for the angle I needed to put the camera, luckily this wasn’t a problem for me as I was using a wired network linkage so WIFI wasn’t needed, but it might be a problem for others. Something I believe the manufacturers could do with looking at.

Attaching the camera to the CamHi Pro app was very easy along with the P2P Windows program for PC.

The mechanism supplied for water proofing the external RJ45 network plugs was impossible to use as the supplied kit was too small to fit the RJ45 plug through. Again for me this wasn’t a problem as I was using an external waterproof junction box. IeGeek need to look at the supplied waterproofing plugs as I cant believe I would be the only person sent the wrong size kit. In contrast I have two other IeGeek cameras that have the correct size kit supplied.

If you are planning on using a wired network, bare in mind that you will need to drill at least a 20mm hole to pass the cable through.

Would I buy again yes as the price is not too bad for what it is. It would be nice if IeGeek could address the above niggles with the manufacturer, be it them selves or another company.

Great quality of build. A good app. Highly recommended and no worry of batteries going flat.

Has the additional SD card option (not supplied). clear accurate picture quality for the price of a cheap VGA style camera, win – win. Poly carbonate construction but doesn’t feel or look cheap. Can rival even the most expensive cameras at a budget price.

Golden Review Award: 12 From Our UsersAnother great camera at an excellent price. We’re having some building work done at the moment and we are fortunate enough to have large open spaces. We need a number of cameras to cover the areas and they need to be at a good price but have lots of features. This is my 4th ieGeek camera and this one does not disappoint. It is mains powered so needs to be near a power supply and it is WiFi enabled and it has a good range with the x2 5dBi antennas. The auto tracking feature is a great addition and this can be turned off in the app if you want to. Due to the colour night vision (see picture taken at midnight with the only light coming from the camera), the number and brightness of the LEDs doubles as a floodlight. Some ieGeek cameras use the CloudEdge App which is good and this one uses the CamHiPro app which is equally as good and has lots of features and is easy to navigate. You can also set preset positions on the camera, use PTZ controls and use two way comms all through the app despite where you are in the world.
The only fiddly bit I found was locating where the microSD card goes. On the underside of the camera, unscrew (screwdriver provided!) the small white cover, the card then slots into the silver small letterbox type slot. You may need to use a torch to locate properly and I have attached a photo to this review for ease.
When mounting the camera I had to unscrew a couple of screws on the top of the camera to pop off the lid so I could get to the mounting screw holes properly. This isn’t difficult and is easy to get on and off.
I would highly recommend this camera but remember it’s mains powered and not battery powered like a number of their other cameras. This didn’t put me off as I had mains power easily available where I was mounting this camera.
The price of this camera for the features you get is fantastic when comparing to other cameras with the same functionality, you won’t be disappointed.

Great features for a great price

You can remotely move the camera left to right and it sends you alerts it it detects anyone.
Would recommend this over the very expensive models as this seems to do whats needed.
Picture quality is also very good

This camera is great for the price, it was easy to set up using the instructions and connected to WiFi without any problems. The suggested software makes it very easy to view the output to a very good hi res picture. I love the fact that there is no subscriptions to be able to view up to 14 days worth of recordings automatically from the 128gb sd card I purchased separately. Overall very happy and I may well add another when needed.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersThis is 3rd camera I’ve bought and by far the best so far.
Really easy to set up with clear instructions.
App is easy to get round.
Good wifi pick up, I thought it was too far from router but works brilliant.
Video panning and human detection is superb, really wide angle vision. Human detection works well and follows the subject 90+ degrees.
You can Pan and zoom from App too, great zoom.
Night vision has 3 settings which is useful.
    Sturdy and waterproof.
2 way voice which is really clear.
24/7 recording with Memory card slot too.

    Would recommend.

So far, this doorbell camera has been reliable and works as it ought to.

There are occasionally false positives on the motion detection, despite choosing a detection range that is fairly close to the property. This happens mostly at night, due to car headlights glare, or the odd night flying insect close to the lens and lit by the IR night vision lamp, but it’s not really a problem. Cheap too.

Bought this camera as the original ones I got weren’t available. They’re a good size and easy to install. I found it easier to ‘pair’ them up before installing, so did this in the house before hand and I’m glad I did as they’re not straight forward to pair up to the App. The instructions are pretty good but they take a little bit of head scratching to get them to show up. They also need to be pretty close to the router otherwise they ‘stutter’ and you may need to adjust the aerial to get a smooth picture. Picture quality is very good and the infra red night vision is excellent, in fact the best I’ve seen for a while. All in a good buy and highly recommended.

I mounted this camera to watch over my back garden and set it up using the PC based HiP2P client software. Whilst this is not ieGeek software specific to this camera it does allow access to further options that in the CamHi App alone. I have recently purchased and set up another iegeek camera so was able to use that experience to make setting this one up a lot, lot easier. I have set up to pre plan record continuously rather than rely on alarm events function. Despite reducing sensitivity settings and field of view options there were still too many events triggered by birds flying across the field of view.

This camera is very easy to use. The software installation is simple and easy step by step instructions. The camera itself is easy to install yourself in the required position. The picture quality is A1 including the night vision which is very clear. The motion sensor is good however be sure to set it to your requirements as this is very sensitive, this isn’t a problem as long as you get it right. If you don’t need the motion sensor this can be turned off independently. The audio is extremely clear, crisp and covers a good distance, this distance changes depending on height or objects that may deflect any sound.

Great product, haf looked at other well known branded ones, wasn’t happy with the price, chatted with friends with popular brand bells they had mixed reviews, i had a small budget and needed something to connect to the mains , that was fast and simple to install that would give a clear picture and sound, this product ticked all the boxes. There is an extra part that can go on the back of the doorbell before you install so the camera is angled if you need that. Clear picture and sound, even connecting the chime was simple and done in seconds.
Highly recommend this product if you are looking for a video doorbell on a lower budget, again there are cloud storage plans available.

    Positives:

    Easy to set up.
Overall good value for the money.
    Some useful features.

    Negatives:

Bigger than I thought it would be which along with the white casing, doesn’t make it very discreet when it’s used to cover outdoor areas.
If like me you use it facing outdoors through a window then the night vision doesn’t work (yes, I have checked to see if this feature is turned on).
Outdoor length range disappointing. Doesn’t pick up human movement at the end of a 35ft long garden (yes, I have got the human sensor switched on).

If you can live with the negatives, then it’s a decent buy.

On first inspection the camera is well made and appears of a high quality and is supplied with a power supply, cabling and fixing kit.
The downloaded software was not felt to be necessary as the camera is connected to a network with both Windows and Apple machines we used a wired connection via a router and set the camera up with its own firmware.
The firmware is very comprehensive and easy to use, covering most eventualities, the image adjustment in particular is very comprehensive.
We cannot report on the WiFi performance as we used it purely over Cat5 cable.
The camera gives an excellent 110 degree coverage picture with a resolution of 2560×1920, which is higher than expected, it changes mode to monochrome at night, maintaining its resolution and having a very good range of illumination via its IR LED.
All in all, given the price we were pleasantly surprised by the quality and performance of the camera and we would thoroughly recommend it.

Bought 2 of these cameras for connection to an ethernet home network. I have only fitted one so far and will fit the second one in the next few days. The camera was recognised immediately by the network and was fairly easy to set up. The program for Windows pc and the phone app are great and really comprehensive and easy to use. Video clips are recorded to either your pc and/or the micro SD card (not included) in the camera when the camera senses movement. The movement detection frame and sensitivity of can be adjusted via the app or pc as can the recording schedules. The picture quality is excellent and faces are easily recognised. Night vision is also excellent. There is also very little latency between camera and the viewed image when connected directly via an ethernet cable. Overall, extremely impressed and satisfied with the whole set up.

Bought this after firstly buying last month the ieGeek Solar Wireless Outdoor Camera, to cover our back yard and was so impressed with the camera and the Cloud Edge app that decided to buy this doorbell to cover the front. All I can say is very impressed. Simple to set up, just power up bell and follow the prompts in the app. Both cameras pick up motion and perfect picture quality. Love how the footage is stored local on a sd card and no need for monthly subscriptions to hold your footage or playthings back to use app clouds like other well known brands. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Very easy to set up with cloudedge app. Easy install with flat or angled backplate. Excellent image quality, sound is OK. Chime is limited to 4 ring types only, 2 of which are a little annoying although you can disable the chime if you want.
Can share with other users via the sharing tools in app. All round good quality alternative to other well known brands. No subscription required as can record to SD card (not included)
Easy set up of motion detection, can filter out background as required to prevent false alarms.

I purchased this to replace an earlier model that unfortunately developed a fault which could not be fixed.
The response from ieGeek.com to my emails requesting assistance was prompt and helpful, resulting in my buying this replacement.
These cameras are excellent value for money. Build quality is above average, being metal, not plastic. The image quality in daylight and at night is better than some more expensive options.
They are easy to set up using the CamHipro phone app and the included ethernet cable. After which they work well over WiFi. The enclosed instruction booklet contains all the information you need.
If you are using a Mac I recommend the SecuritySpy application from BenSoftware together with the accompanying iPhone app to monitor the camera over the internet when away from home.
    The perfect security combination.

With this camera you have the option of wi-fi or LAN connection or both. I had an issue that I was not getting a connection, I found out after connecting a lan cable it was a low wi-fi signal to that camera I got another camera 2 meters away no problem so I left it permanently connected via a lan cable. The picture quality is outstanding day or night. Detection is good but setting the level of Detection is annoying and I personally have not got it right. This is only an issue with notifications as when it rains heavily, your getting notifications on your phone every 5 minutes this might be where I have it mounted. Please don’t let this put you off it I know I am impatient at solving faults if it takes a lot of time. And adjusting the level and waiting to see is right does take time if you want it perfect. Thats the moan over. You have so many options to tailor this camera to your needs you can adjust the Detection area eg. if the field of takes in your neighbours garden or path you can adjust the Detection zone to exclude the path or you can black out the garden so that there privacy is maintained. It is easy to setup and I found the helpline exceptionally good. One note The interface to the camera is third party, is this a good thing I don’t know. There so much to this camera system I can not do justice in singing it praise for the price you pay and subscription free.

Excellent camera, quality pictures day or night.

This doorbell-cam has actually exceeded my expectations.
The motion detection is good and the ring function works brilliantly.
It was difficult to install as it would not wire direct to my previous bell because my previous bell had a chime! However, I bought a small transformer from Amazon and now it all works brilliantly.
My only negative, is the fact that I have to use several different apps to access my various IeGeek cameras. It would be great if all of their cameras were compatible with a single app! …but despite this, I would happily recommend this item.

This ieGeek WIFI video doorbell with chime was accompanied by very clear instructions and all of the necessary fittings to make installation simple. Once in place, it was again easy to link it to the recommended app on my smart phone and was up and running within a few minutes. It has needed some fine tuning on the app so the device is not triggered by passing traffic, but this is again very simple. I purchased two of these cameras to replace older existing cameras that are no longer supported. I am very impressed!. I down loaded the app for the phone and also HiP2P for my PC. The app is very clear and easy to use and only takes a few minutes to setup for motion detection and record etc. The PC software is also excellent although it takes a bit more time to find your way round it. Picture quality is excellent and the 110 degree view means the capture area is brilliant. For me the best bit of the PC software was the playback where you can search within a time band within a really good layout. If you do need to use it in anger it will be very easy to locate the views you need. As my old cameras were reasonably high spec when purchased a few years ago I expected similar ease of use, video quality etc but these cameras are as good as any commercial systems I have seen and represent really good value for money

The Camera is very good, I installed it over the weekend so it can over look the entrance to the house.

It is wireless though I had to connect it to the router via a supplied ethernet cable first (after download the phone and pc software) and once it was connected I changed it to wifi.

I tried to connect it to wifi first (without using the ethernet cable) and the software was unable to connect for me (the user guide that comes with the camera says you can can connect straight to wifi but recommends connecting via the ethernet cable first).

Anyway after getting it up and running on the wifi I installed above the front door (see the pic), it comes with a power supply that you plug into a normal plug socket, the lead that connects to the camera is around 1m long so I bought an extension as I needed a long lead to reach my plug socket.

I would point out that there are some translation issues with the user guide which were a bit confusing at times but essentially you need to donwload the CamHI app from for your smart phone (there is a CamHIPro app-but it has less functionality). you need to download this first to set up the camera and then you can link the PC software to the app. (you can just use the phone app if you want).

If you do download the pc spoftware from the manufacturer website, (for windows) you will need to download a .Rar file extractor first to launch the software.

Installation was straightforward, there are plenty of videos on Youtube to explain how to do this, and also how to use the software if you get stuck but the manufacturer has a number of a guides too on their website.

Overall I am pleased with this and I would recommend it.

The doorbell unit itself is nice and compact and feels like a quality item – as does the chime unit. From unboxing to having it completely up and running (setting up the app, connecting the device and pairing the chime and fixing the device to the outside wall) took only around 35 minutes. The chime rings instantly when the bell is pressed with no delay. Very highly recommended

    ***UPDATE March 2021***

I take it all back! As thought, it turns out I had a faulty camera… ieGeek reached out to me and sent me a brand new one – WOW what a difference! Crystal clear picture and strong WiFi (no drop-outs like the previous one) and the colours are true-to-life – much more along the lines of what I was expecting (basically the same performance as my IG62 but at a higher resolution/better definition)

Experimenting with the motion detection at present – think some of the issue was caused by the poor image quality of the initial camera as does seem a little more responsive…

Thank you ieGeek support for your support and service… 10/10!

    —-

Initial review posted:… Disappointing performance and very poor WiFi

Well, I have to say I just do not rate this camera… Initial setup is easy enough and the app is fine but I feel let down by the camera itself…

Like others, I seem to be experiencing WiFi issues – constant drop-outs and slow speed even with the camera placed the other side of the wall to my WiFi access point! It was so bad that in the end, I hard-wired it using CAT5 but still find I am experiencing random dropouts (although far less than when it was on WiFi) – the main reason for buying this model was the enhanced aerial! (also have a cheaper IG62 camera which connects by WiFi and is 10x the distance away and through 2 walls – get a rock-solid connection to that one!)

Image is also a little disappointing – one side of my picture seems to be very pixalated and lacking detail (the right side in the photo) – contacted support who, although polite, were of little use – after first asking if it had water in it [how could it, it is factory sealed – unlike the cheaper units, you don’t have to take it to bits to install an SD card] they then advised that it is ‘acceptable’ but I should try repositioning my camera to point it to somewhere a bit lighter – erm, ok, all very well but the very slight flaw with that is then it wont cover the area I want it to cover! I know it’s not a 5MP camera but again, image quality from the cheaper model is far superior… [Did also raise the WiFi issue with support who basically said it could be my network – erm, did you not read the bit where I explained that another of your cameras 10x the distance away has no issues at all – and, quite frankly, when placed the other side of a wall to an access point, there should really be no issues]…

I also have an issue with the colour rendering – it’s almost like the IR cut isn’t right – the colours just don’t ‘pop’ – purples and greens are a funny shade (they still are purple and green but nothing like the actual colour – again, the cheaper IG62 seems much better in this respect)…

Motion detection is pointless – even rain sets it off – yes, I know it’s not the easiest of things to do in the processing power you have – but I’m not talking about rain in general – if the rain drops are big enough and are within a couple of feet of the camera, I just get constant alerts to say ‘Motion Detected’ – ended up switching that off!

Night vision does seem good though (allowing for the previous comment re image quality but at night the image wont be as sharp anyway) – the ring of IR LEDS is not particularly noticeable and does give illumination…

I find myself in 2 minds – do I return it or keep it? I will probably end up keeping it but will relocate it to cover another (smaller) area and buy a 5MP camera to replace this one (although alas, not an ieGeek one)

    Great little camera!

Spent some time researching which camera to buy. Some earlier detailed reviews were useful in choosing this one.

I think I’m fairly savvy about these things, but as is is often the case, setup is never as easy as you expect. Perhaps it’s me. But it worked fine after a little perseverance. I took the precaution of testing the camera in the house for a few days before installing it outside.

I had a power supply in place, though finding a suitable WiFi camera (including this one) to connect direct to the mains was a problem. Didn’t want to use batteries, but every camera comes with a bulky power supply. To accommodate that I installed a socket inside the deep IP66 enclosure shown, which also contains all the wires.

Installation: the triple-plug lead (see pictures on the website) will only just fit through a 20mm access hole, so I couldn’t use a proper gland. Instead I made a small hole in a grommet, cut through to it’s centre, wrapped it over the single flex, and used that as a seal. The site is well protected anyway, and that access is at the bottom, so water ingress is unlikely. I guess a much larger gland could perhaps be used, but this method worked fine. The connectors etc. were neatly hidden – and protected – inside the weatherproof enclosure. The camera requires 12v, so – as someone else suggested – you could use a LED transformer, but that means either cutting the supply lead or finding the appropriate in-line female plug. I preferred not to damage the kit or packaging in any way, in case I have to return it for any reason: I’ve only just fitted it……

Software seems pretty sophisticated, though the instructions (Chinglish here and there) can be obscure. I’m also using their Windows software for ease of setting up.

Response to questions has been quick and helpful thus far. I’m waiting on a query about directing recordings to a USB stick fitted to my router (cheap way of creating a NAS drive!) which I hope will avoid having to fit a micro-SD card in the camera.

Picture quality is good. All kinds of sensitivities etc. can be adjusted, though a would have liked more ability to alter top and bottom zones of the picture – only right and left can be adjusted for movement. Unless this is set up carefully, you can suffer unwarranted alarms.

All in all – very good. I’ll update this if I encounter any issues.

Yet to try out the two-way sound and siren!

UPDATE: two way sound is good – but not loud. Have to turn the volume up. Alarm activation good – detection of human form very useful. The software is – as I said – very sophisticated, but understanding it is a challenge. For example, you can indeed adjust the sensitivity over 4 zones which you can manually set, but finding how to do that took some ferreting about.

Although support was quick, it wasn’t all that helpful. A bit like the instructions and downloads: ‘the answer is there, you go and find it….’! If you’re prepared to persevere, this is a great buy – especially as I was able to get it when it was discounted.

    Great Value

I ordered two of these cameras. They were easy to install and connect to my network. I have one running over WIFI and the other connected directly to the router. Both give a clear picture both in daylight and at night.
The movement detection works well and have only had a couple of false alarms so far.
The WIFI range seems to quite good although the antenna is a bit large.
The only downside is the size of the network connector. It is still possible push all of the connectors through a 20mm hole (just).
I ended up powering the cameras with small LED power supplies which I wired into an existing circuit and put all the connectors in an IP65 box.
I’ve only had the cameras for a couple of weeks, but so far so good.

Easy to set up and easy to install.
The picture and video quality is really good.
Having some trouble getting the FTP connection to work, but will keep trying.
Can view the camera on the laptop or mobile, and get notifications on my phone.
Would be 5 star if the FTP would work.

Bought specifically to watch a mare that’s due to foal. I bought another iGeek camera because the other indoor one we have has been superb. This 5mp camera is equally brilliant. It wasn’t clear in the manual that in order to set up WiFi you do first need to plug it into the Ethernet LAN. Once done, I unplugged the entire unit and re-located to different electric plug and off it went. I’ve only had this for a few days and not had chance to fiddle around with all the settings yet.

    Superb camera

This was a replacement for another manufacturer’s device which was faulty. In contrast I found the IG90 straightforward to set up and the internet connection much more stable. The video playback is subject to a slight stutter but overall i am very happy with the picture quality and there was enough flexibility in the app to tweak the settings to my requirements. So far very happy with my purchase.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThis doorbell camera is easy to set up and comes with everything you need to set it up (even a screw driver!) it has no ongoing costs you simply add a memory card to the device. The camera quality is great all in all I am very pleased with this purchase. The package was good too as good as apple. Chime is loud and the app is easy to use.

Great doorbell camera with no ongoing costs 👍

Used this for a lambing camera ended up having to run a cat 6 cable to it because even though it was less than 10 metres from the router in a straight line it kept losing connection and forgetting the WiFi password. Otherwise camera quality is great, 2 way audio is great and app user interface is intuitive.

The camera was easily installed and up and working quite quickly. It connects to an iPhone and provides motion warnings, which can be viewed on the phone. it also links in with a NAS via network and videos can be reviewed on a laptop.
The motion sensor is a little slow and often the Warning video only catches the last bit of movement. You have to go back to the preceding video to see the whole action. There are 3 Allen key grub screws to make adjustments, one of these does not secure the base of the camera very well allowing it to ‘drop’ a little, but it is secure. The range of movement is limited, I haven’t managed to get it to move sideways and so have to resite the camera to get the required coverage. For the price this is a good security camera.
The instruction manual states that it can take a 128GB micro SD card. I bought one, a Sandisk one, which initially worked OK, but then it stopped working and this prevented me viewing videos on my phone. Whether the card packed up or there was some other cause I cannot say. I replaced it with a 8GB card and it works fine. They suggest Sandisk Security micro SD 64Gb cards, I have gone down this route and await it’s delivery.

The quality of the camera was evident as soon as I unpacked it. The instructions were easy to follow and the camera was so easy to set up on Wi-Fi . The camera has been installed at the front of the house for two weeks now and has been brilliant .The day and night vision is excellent.Although I thought I would not use the two way audio at all,it turns out that I have found it to be one of the most useful functions on the camera.

    I highly recommend this camera

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersFurther to my my previous review on the camera of which I was unhappy about the picture quality, I find after adjusting the setting and reformatting the SD card, the picture quality is much improved, I also like the humanoid recognition function and the zoom. shows it pays to go into the camera functions properly before casting an opinion.
    I will probably buy another.
I STILL FIND THE LARGE SIZE PLUG LEAD A PAIN TO GET THROUGH A WALL WHEN IT IS HARD WIRED!

I bought this camera a year ago largely because of the reasonable price and good user reviews but only got round to putting it up in November 2019.

    Positives
    1. Build quality seems good. Compact and solid
    2. Picture quality is good especially on the HD setting
    3. Power supply has a long lead (3m) so no extension cable required

    Negatives
    1. Despite the IP67 rating, my camera let in water to the extent that it stopped working. Water behind the lens and in the SD card slot (see photos). Maybe I put it up in a too exposed position. So my advice is try and install it somewhere that is a bit sheltered e.g. under eaves.

    2. The reset switch and power cable connector need to be housed in a dry place e.g. a waterproof connection box. (A waterproof connector is supplied for the Ethernet cable)

    3. PC Software Hip2P is quite slow and clunky and not very intuitive to set up. Later versions of the software are a bit better. They can be found on the Iegeek or IPcam websites. The mobile phone software is a bit easier but is more limited.

    4. There is no option for secure encryption (like most cheaper webcams). This will make the camera easier to hack.

    5. There is a customer service email address, but I got no response when my camera failed.

    Conclusion
Installing and connecting up an IP camera can be quite a time consuming business, so my advice is don’t waste your time – avoid this camera and spend a bit more on something more reliable. I’ve had my Foscam camera out in all weathers for several years without problem…

    Follow Up – 4 February 2021
    =====================
I got round to taking down my failed iegeek security camera today. Opened the SD slot and orange coloured water dribbled out. It looked like my Sandisk Extreme Pro 128Gb SD card was trashed – stained with the orange gunge – but it dried out and cleaned up and is working fine in my new camera (an Ezviz).

Recordings on the card showed that the camera worked OK for a total of 10 days until it got too wet. So the moral of the story is don’t assume that an IP camera is OK just because it works fine out the box. Put it up outside in the rain. Then at least you can get your money back if it fails straight away as a result of water damage. Interestingly I could not find an IP67 rating anywhere on the packaging or camera despite this waterproof rating being advertised.

    Update 12 March 2021
    =================

Customer support reached out to me following this review. Looks like the email address I wrote to was the wrong one which explains why they didn’t reply to my previous emails. They advise that they have resolved the security problems that were around a couple of years back and this model is no longer at risk of hacking. It is still a good idea however to change the default user name/password from admin/admin to something unique.

Failure caused by water penetration does not appear to be a common problem with this camera judging by the reviews on Amazon, so maybe I was just unlucky. As a gesture of goodwill, Iegeek have offered to refund me or replace the camera despite it being out of warranty. So given all that, I have changed my review rating to positive.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI purchased this item on the basis of other peoples views AND the features of the product, 2k video quality, good build quality, Human Motion detection, ability to select what areas to monitor for motion, additional door chime etc.
Its actually very easy to setup too – connecting to Wi-Fi setting up the door chime took all of 3-4 minutes> i was then quickly browsing through the extra configuration you can change via the app, also quite intuitive and easy to enabledisable features.
    So Pro’s for me:
    Quality
    Ease of setup
    Functionality offered
    Ease of changing functionality

    Cons:
    None
I’m really pleased with the Smart door camera, well worth its purchase price.

Instructions in the box weren’t great, but apparently these are being updated. Better instructions available to download on the website. Really helpful staff have given me some pointers via email. I’ll update the review again when I have finished setting things up and had more time with the product (initial impression on image quality etc. are good)

Packaging is good and the instructions were easy to follow. Setup was very easy and great to have the plug in power supply.
The doorbell itself looks great and functions very well.
The app is easy to use.
The separate plug in chime is a bit quiet and not easy to find a 2nd one for upstairs coverage.
    Great value for money.

    Love this produc

I had been dreading getting this setup and working as I expected it to be a total faff. Actually it was pretty much plug and play, working first time with my phone, my daughters phone, my partners tablet, and my laptop. Its also now working on my TV (via a cheap DVR from China which took some setting up, but that isn’t the cameras fault and its working great now). The picture quality is great and the night vision works really well. It also picks up the WiFi very well. My only negative is its a bit bigger than I expected, but that’s my fault for not checking the details when I ordered it.
