Generally it works very well. Motion detection isn’t perfect but it’s 95% accurate. The ieGeek software is pretty good and, like most software, any glitches are resolved by a software restart. I’m buying another one to cover the rear of the house, so I guess that summarises my overall positive opinion of the camera.

Easy to build, good quality camera overall. The app does have an option to turn on the alarm and the light manually by phone, not sure if any detection is gonna activate them automatically. I noticed the package was open so it was a returned item with the plastic cover removed already, but it doesn’t matter. The app is plenty of features and options so I’ll need time to learn it 100%. The cloud service is free for 7 days only, so I installed a sd card of 128 GB.

They stole it after only one week and I have no footage of it being stoled neither does the additional cover pay for theft 🙁
I liked it until I had it.

Works brilliant, good quality images, motion detection but one must keep in mind the angle you place. Over all good preforming. I purchased this in August 2022 and today is December 2022 in this period I have recharged it 2 times. I presume this time around the battery drained quicker due to extreme cold weather and its also getting darker in uk early.

This wireless camera has been a pleasant surprise in terms of quality, easy setup and installation. The rechargeable battery life is quite good and depends on the level of motion detection set.

The camera displays a wide area and the clarity and quality of screenshots and videos is excellent day or night in all types of weather, These can be saved on to 128Gb microSD card which has to be purchased separately. The sound, spotlight and siren functions also work very effectively. It does a great job at a very good price.

    Definitely very highly recommended

This security camera is easy to install and good value for money. I had purchased this product for extra safety in my area and am impressed with the good camera quality and sensors that work well even in the dark. The camera was easy to use with the help of detailed instructions the seller provided and the customer service was helpful and friendly when I asked questions. It is also a wireless product and has a long battery life once fully charged. Finally, the camera comes with an extended one year warranty. I am very satisfied with my purchase.

    UPDATE
Have been contacted by the seller problem now resolved (hence now 5*). Thank you.

The first part of my review still holds true though – picture quality (360p) not good enough to read number plates. However the video quality is excellent.

Customer service was superb and after failing to resolve the problems I had, a replacement was delivered promptly at no extra cost.

Fine as a visual deterrent but picture quality is not good enough to identify people or read car number plates even over a short distance.
In addition, the camera failed after just 14 months displaying a solid green screen on my iPhone which wasn’t resolved by reinstalling from scratch.

Good quality security camera with high resolution.
Record to SD card and view via ieGeek app. Easy set up to WiFi.
Good battery life with rechargeable battery.
I don’t need to remove to charge, run an usb cable to mains charge or a power charger bank.
Added bonus of security light aswell motion detection at night.
    Would definitely recommend.

Night vision, can set alarm areas and times you want it active, light & if you want, siren (not amazingly loud, but it’s still a deterrent!) Also intercom function. Picture quality is great on standard, really really good on HD. Battery will drain if it’s being constantly activated but for odd triggers, lasts weeks. Got the solar panel with it, but it’s not that great in winter & it’s on a south facing wall, unobstructed from daylight. If I remember, I’ll update in summer about it’s efficacy.

All in all though, seriously good and well priced for what you get!

I bought an igeek security camera 3 years ago and I was very pleased with all aspects of the product, particularly the battery life which was 6 months between charges. However, I had a problem with water ingress (possibly my fault) and I had no hesitation buying an identical replacement. The new camera only lasted 8 weeks before requiring a recharge. I have contacted the company on several occasions and they have provided advice on reducing settings to maximise battery life. However, the company feels that there will be variation in battery performance. Nevertheless, they have given me a discount on a new camera. It’s a good product, and it is a very cost-effective way to keep your property under supervision.

The camera is truly wireless. 3 screws for the camera, 3 screws for the solar panel. The power wire from solar panel is a very good length. Live view is possible but does drain the battery if used constantly (not horrendously fast though). We’ve had it up for around 6-8 weeks now before writing this review. We get notifications to 5 devices when motion is detected and with a microSD card in the camera can view the history of motion alerts although it doesn’t record 24/7 only the motion alerts. Quality is clear as can be seen from screenshots day and night. Sound quality is surprisingly good too as is the siren and remote spotlight function. My only suggestion would be if it could work with the HiCam app and thus, the PC program as my other iGeek cameras do. The battery life has dipped to around 40% at its lowest point but even with nearly 2 weeks of constant rain and cloud it’s still charged upto around 90% each day and the solar panel only gets ‘direct’ sunlight around 50% of the daytime. Really can’t fault this camera. The app is free to use and view motion alerts if you have an SD card in the camera. Looks nice too! Does the job very well for the price I don’t think you’ll get better for the price.

    Truly wireless, very good

installed outside of bedroom window to ensure wifi connection, very thick walls. So easy to install, the app too, and I am not good with technology. it works a treat. and the picture is so clear, zooming in is a doddle, just pinch the screen, that easy
as on a main road i get a lot of notifications during the day, but its quiet at night so don’t want to mess with settings.
Someone messed with car one night so set this up, now i will know who, if they do it again?

Bought 2 of these cameras and to be honest, I have been pleasantly surprised. So 1 installed at front of house, looking over front door and garden. 2nd camera over backdoor and garden. Easy to install both camera and solar panel, easy to tilt both items to position you want.
So, easy to mount, easy to connect to app and easy to use app to set up camera as you want. Solar panels seem to work well, local storage via SD card so no need to pay for cloud storage if you just buy yourself a micro SD card. Picture quality is great for what I need, both day and night. Where you mount cameras is worth giving thought to, you need to ensure there’s no wall or glass for the camera to reflect off as this will disrupt night vision. So cameras facing straight forward seems optimal.
Now, 1 of my cameras had issues so I contacted the customer support via email and I must say they were excellent. After trying a couple of things that didn’t help they arranged for a replacement to be sent which was delivered in a couple of days. Overall I am very happy so far, the cameras do the job I want and offer me the security I wanted, mostly I just wanted to be able to have video of my dogs dealing with any potential intruder which these do brilliantly. Well worth giving these a go and customer service was brilliant.

Had this for about 3 weeks. I’m happy so far. If you are looking for something superfast and with no delays, you might want to spend a little more. I find the live image and videos work better on the ‘SD’ setting, the HD seems to slow it down & make it a bit glitchy – that could just be my wi-fi signal though. Good for the money.

I bought 3 of these to keep my home safe from neighbors looking round my garden when I am out and for my personal security. This is easy to set up and the app easy to use. It has good picture quality except in wet conditions then can be blurred, but maybe a hood over it would help? Good lighting and audio on this camera as well. I bought the solar panels as well and so far the charging has been reasonably good even on a darker area, so worth the money and time saved getting these battery camera down to charge. I would buy these again.

I have bought IeGeek 2k wireless camera few days ago and think it is a good value for money in terms of picture quality and motion detection.

The picture is quite clear even at night and motion detection is very sensitive so I could be alert whenever there is human or object motion. Only concern is consumption of battery. It seems the battery is running out a bit fast and I may need a solar panel to support it.

They say that repeating a behaviour and expecting a different result is a sign of madness. In such a moment I sent back my first ieGeek camera and bought another.
My bad experience with the first was down to a battery failure. I contacted ieGeek helpline and over a few days was asked to try various setting changes. The manufacturer then confirmed that the battery was faulty and offered to send me a replacement, free of charge and without returning the original. I was very impressed by the service provided by the help desk. However, I elected to go through Amazon who accepted my conversation with the help desk as proof of failure and refunded my payment.
I re-purchased and the new unit has been working well for the past two months with the battery remaining fully charged from the solar panel. I realise this may not be the case in winter with less sunshine. We will see.
The picture quality is good, the speaker works and the alarm on people approaching (variable settings) picks up everyone without false alarms.
So far the device has operated in sun and rain, yet to be tested in frost and snow.
Wi-Fi connection and battery operation makes for easy set-up and no cable connections.
The fact I repurchased indicates that I think the device design and operation is excellent. Assuming no further ‘ battery failure’ or similar issues I will be very pleased with my purchase.

    Going to a honest review.
    In short I returned these!

Great Night vision both IR or in colour. Built in spot light good. Audio and image quality great. Sound has a 1s – 2s delay normal for wireless.
Set up very easy although the manual doesn’t explain some of the apps features
    However,
Needs either SD card or Cloud storage at additional cost. However if on a Family network so both myself and my wife can view on our devices. Only the admin can view the history on Cloud storage. The seconded person on the account can only view Still images or stuff stored to Sd card/cloud
I would advise the developers to modify the app to allow all users access to view stored footage. (NOT a issue if your a solo user)
As with it being motion activated this is also Hit or Miss at times. A delay in activation for recording means missing some of the footage No option for continuous motion recording untill motion stops like some other brands.
Where this has some good positives there are some features missing or lacking. It’s worth noting this isn’t a 24/7 recording DVR set up.

Purchase both Cams and doorbell and both returned. Wasnt fit for my requirments Sadly.

Bought two of these to view front door and side patio. Quite easy to set-up and add to ieGeek app running on Android. A lot of options to get your head around once set-up, but with some trial and error I think I have come up with a set of workable options.
Although I used the solar panels for initial charge I have not set these up permanently as I wanted to see what sort of battery life the cameras had. I’ve had a relatively small number of alerts (e.g. me walking out of front door at night and forgetting to turn off motion detection beforehand!), battery is now down to 48% after 5 weeks.
Initial responses from Customer Support were poor in respect of an issue I had getting Cloud backup set-up but they eventually came back and thereafter responses have been pretty fast and helpful.

EDIT: Have had several emails from ieGeek support since writing the above – full explanation of cloud service setup provided and a load of useful hints re battery consumption. Have now ordered two more of the same camera!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThe ieGeek is really easy to install. No wires to run inside the house, just three small holes to drill to fit the base to the wall. The camera then screws onto a ball joint that enables you to set it at a multitude of angles.

N.B. initially I had the camera covering the front drive and the road/footpath… but every time someone walked past it would trigger the camera and that made the battery run down pretty quickly. To charge it you have to unscrew the camera and plug it in to a charger, which is a pain, as the battery can’t be removed.

So, you have to set the camera to just cover your property, so it’s only triggered by the postie or family members… otherwise you’ll be charging the battery every week or two.

Apart from that the camera is sound, with pretty decent picture quality. You can set it to primarily detect human shapes, rather than vehicles (very clever.) It can be set to record in various time lengths, there is a security light that can be set to turn on at night when motion is detected. It can record in colour at night, it has a siren and a speaker so you can warn people from your phone (via the app) when they come onto your property!

    Highly recommended!

Great camera. Requires a little thought when setting up but it's worth it. Great visual deterrent!

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersThese little cameras are excellent as security cameras mounted on the outside of your house, but be aware of the possible snags. The cameras seem to be sold by a variety of Chinese manufacturers and when my first camera stopped working (it kept making a “cuckoo” sound no matter what I did to it) the warranty had expired so I threw it away, and I don’t think the vendor was still in business. The pros: long battery life, quite easy to install and configure provided you follow the instructions and connect it to a 2.5g network rather than a 5g network. I monitor the cameras from my iPhone and iPad – you can’t currently monitor from a computer though there is said to be a complicated workaround to let you do so. The cons: take great care inserting your SD card because sometimes it just drops into the camera, where you can’t rescue it, and you have to buy another SD card. It doesn’t always record an approaching person unless you configure it carefully – you might see a recording of the back of a person’s head at your front door but to see them approaching you might do as I did and install another camera further from the door as well. Recordings are made on the SD card with an option to subscribe to a Cloud service. You can subscribe for a month at a time or a year, and the disadvantage of subscribing for a long period is that if the camera fails, you can’t yourself transfer the cloud subscription to one of your other cameras. Fortunately the seller was kind enough to arrange to transfer the subscription when I asked, but said they don’t normally do this. I suppose the other shortcoming is the need to climb a ladder and unscrew the camera and take it inside when it requires recharging (after about 3 months), and the recharging takes a long time, maybe 8 hours. If you mount it within easy reach, thieves might take it. You can monitor the cameras remotely through your smartphone and, for instance, see if Amazon have left a package on your front step that you need to go home to rescue. Very glad to have these cameras, which I hope will deter burglars as they have done so far.

Looking for a suitable camera because of cars in our road being frequently vandalised, we came across these cameras. Our first one came quickly, and clearly was a solid, well built device despite the lower price. We put it up on the front of the house, and because the pavement is only 5m away, it can pick up everything clearly that happens outside the house. The app is very good, easy to check up on what is happening when away from home with the touch of a button. It even comes with an intercom, so you can warn people who are acting suspiciously.
Very impressed with the first camera, so with the price in mind, we ordered another for the back of the house. Double security to give double piece of mind. Very good cameras, would recommend.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersYou get what you pay for .. After an attempted break in at my property, I decided it was time to invest in some home security. I browsed online for CCTV systems and was not keen on spending a small fortune so I came across this Igeek camera and decided to purchase 2 of them, one for the front of the house and one for the rear garden. It started off very well and I was pleased with the motion detection and picture quality ( I should also mention these cameras are NOT for areas with high/ moderate activity, they are more suitable for gardens and small alleys where there is little movement etc as the camera at the front of the house required a charge once a month – I do not live on a busy main road but there are the occasional cars and pedestrians walking by). One day a neighbour knocked on our door as their car had been hit right outside our house. Only when we checked the app did we notice the cameras had not been recording anything. Both front and rear stopped recording and the pre recorded videos became inaccessible. We have tried EVERYTHING, moving them to a place where they have max WiFi signal, resetting them, updating software, re formatting. We reached out to customer service who advised us to update the software and reset the cameras, they suggested a few other things but nothing worked. They have now stopped responding to our emails as they can’t suggest anything else and we are left with 2 cameras which are useless.

If you’re serious about home security and CCTV, I would suggest you invest a bit more money and purchase A wired system which records onto a hard drive

    UPDATE April 2022
After reaching out to IE Geek again. They have offered me a full refund for both cameras. Not the best product but great customer service !

This is the third Igeek camera I have purchased, all of the battery wireless type. two I have given away as presents, and I will buy more of them for myself. For the cost, ease of setup and quality, I don’t think they can be beaten. The battery duration is great and they are easily charged by USB. One of the cameras I set up outside for a friend and connected via the solar panel, this has worked brilliantly with no need to take down to charge. I fitted one in a caravan and for the time not in use the battery lasted seemingly forever. Obviously the more busy it gets the battery will drain more quickly. No need to pay cloud subscription costs as in some cameras as this will record to your mobile device or the micro SD card purchased separately. In the house I leave it freestanding and can check my home wherever I am. With the detection enabled it will send messages to your mobile device as a warning. Very handy when you are out and worried about security. As mentioned I will buy more of these devices and it gets a full endorsement from me.

I have two of these. One bought a few years ago under a different branding (exactly same camera) and a new one bought a few weeks ago. They’re easy to install and set up, the app works great, and you don’t have to pay a monthly fee for storing footage you don’t want (just install an SD card if you want to save video). You will need a fairly strong wifi connection, but you can always use wifi boosters placed closer to the position of the camera, if you need it.
A great bit of kit that does what it’s supposed to.

I bought 2 off these cameras to overlap as when I have to charge one the other is still covering the area. Both cameras are connected to 2 phones and a I-pad. They are very easy to set up and I have mine set detection sensitivity 6 from 18:00 – 08:00hrs with recording time off 30seconds and a 5minutes alarm intervals on SD as the colour picture is very good and the mono colour at night is very clear. The zoom on the camera is first class and area the camera is very large. This is a first class product at a very good price, but be aware you have to remove the camera to charge the battery if you do not use the solar panel.

Bought this to cover the rear of my property.
Setup was exceptionally easy and it was connected and up and running in less than 5 minutes.
Build quality seems generally ok and of course the thing with this will be the long term usage and effect the weather will have on it.
For now though this seems a quality device.
The instructions leave a little to be desired in their translation but everything is simple and easy to follow; the app is effective and has everything you really need; still images, video, live viewing etc
Looking at the IR on the unit it is easily capable of covering a 10-15m range, maybe more, and FOV is more than adequate.

We felt like we needed a camera to keep an eye on our house after some questionable characters started visiting the neighbours. We chose white so the camera was visible. The camera set up was simple and fixing it to a spot outside the house was simple.
The picture quality was a lot better than we expected and the sound was clear too.
The motion sensitivity was set high and there were about 20 pings and close up screenshots of my ugly mug as I installed the camera but this was easily resolved by adjusting it on the app. We found that ‘6’ was perfect for our needs.
Still tinkering with it but overall very happy and will be buying some more cameras soon.

The live video is instant and crystal clear. Settings can be instantly adjusted from your phone.
Alarm times and recording times are easily adjusted to your preference. Recording can be set for human activity both night/day.
Noticed a spider on the camera lens on the first night but it did not trigger recording.
Only been in use for a few days but everything is positive up to now.

    Great for the price.

Picture clarity is fair, better than some but not as good as a 500 system but this is to be expected, great as garden/ driveway or in house monitoring.

Battery life is thus far phenomenal, bought on Prime day – 51 days from now, it arrived next day and was charged overnight, It has been on and fitted since this so 49 days approximately, it is still over half on the battery indicator and that is the only time it has been charged so far, so great.

A good purchase for simple security – if you want better quality, play back, and security then get a full system for the full price, this is 8/10 overall, it is fit for purpose and I am happy with it

UPDATE 11/10/21 – Camera is still working great, the only change in the camera is that today is the first time I have had to charge the camera so the battery life is roughly 111days

Really pleased with this camera. Seems very well made, not too big to be clunky but big enough to be noticed as a deterrent. Modern sleek looks makes it neat when installed. Being totally wireless is a bonus making for a quick and easy install. The Wi-Fi range is pretty impressive. My camera is about 30 foot away from my router outside the house, through walls and glass doors to the camera which is outside and it’s still showing 55-60% signal strength. The battery seems to be holding up well too. My estimate is I’ll get 3 months use between charges in my situation. Image quality is good including the infra red night vision which works well. All in all a good purchase in my opinion, decent value for money and the app and initial set up was very straightforward.

We live in a fairly safe, rural area but break-ins have risen over the last couple of years. We decided we needed a security camera to provide peace of mind. The thing is, my hubby is an IT guy and usually sorts out all these techie gizmo’s, so he wasn’t too happy about me ordering this without his approval…
Anyway, he likes it. We both think it’s great. We’ve ordered a 128gb SD card from Amazon for 15.99 (we’re currently using a much smaller one just so we both have access to the ‘history’ on the camera).
The picture is fab, it connected to our router easily and it covers our whole garden, the picture quality is superb..!. The intercom system is very handy too. We have the app set up on both phones (1 x Apple & 1 x Samsung) which means we’ll both get motion detection alerts whilst away from home and it’s great that you can differentiate over human & other motion alerts. We’re looking forward to checking out the night vision as we get lots pf wild life in the garden & this should negate the need for our existing trail cam.
We’re so impressed we’re thinking of ordering another for the front of the property instead of a camera doorbell.
This is a really good quality piece of equipment, which is easy to set up with comprehensive instructions & excellent value for money. We’d highly recommend and it’s definitely given us the added security & peace of mind we were after.
Edit: We’re so impressed with this camera we purchased a 2nd one today for the front of our property.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI have 2 of the battery / solar cameras, and use them in conjunction with 3 of the hard-wire powered ieGeek cameras. Because they are using PIR motion detection they are less susceptible to unwanted activation from insects at night (who are drawn to the IR illuminators on the permanently active hard-wire). Mounting height is more critical with the PIR, I initially tried one of the cameras near the top of the house, but found results far more successful 2.5-3M high. I have had one of the cameras since March, and the battery lasts approximately 6 weeks without charging. One thing to note, if you already have the hard-wire cameras, they use CamHipro software for viewing, whereas these ones use CloudEdge software, both apps are good though. Very simple and intuitive to set up, and the snapshot view of the activations means you can see at a glance what has caused the activation without needing to review the footage.

Quality result without breaking the bank.

Initial impressions were very good, looked and felt excellent qualty, set up was straightforward and the manual comprehensive enough. The only issue I had was the signal strength (displayed in the app) which unless you get it to 85% you only get SD videos. After experimenting with position of the camera, router, angle of aerials etc I only managed to get it up to 80%. So be aware if you are mounting the camera externally it will need a router very close to get a HD suitable signal. My router is around 2 meters from the camera through a window and not quite line of sight and 80% is the very best signal strength Ive achieved. Otherwise the camera and its software are excellent, doing a good job of eliminating false alarms and coupled with the 128 GB memory card gives plenty of playback time. Overall great value just the signal strength issue dropping it to 4 stars.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI’ve tried cameras in my front garden before but usually reception has been poor, my Internet sometimes is weak there. This camera has really impressed me so far. Great clarity in images, adjustable sensitivity for motion detection. It was really straight forward to set up. The solar panel is again really promising. The battery was about 90% after I fully charged it but then played around with the settings etc. Then I had some early evening sunshine and the battery recharged! I’ve used this company before too and their customer service is excellent. I’m really pleased with this camera.

The best I've tried. Very impressive.

bought this a while ago. couldnt afford top end camera so decided on this and fair do’s its still up and working. charge it up every few months, good picture quality night and day. motion sensor, auto record when it picks up motion and stores it either on a memory card or cloud. cloud storage is chareable but not alot. its waterproof and easily brought in for charging.
it needs to be mounted ideally near a large opening window so its easilly accesible for when it needs charging and also needs to be in good proximaty for wifi signal. im happy with the purchase and am thinking about getting another for the back garden.
it has a two way speaker/mic system so you can hear whats going on out side and can also press the intercom button on your mobile/tablet and talk through the camera.

I was delighted to find this item as I didn’t want to have to go through a wall with cables and there was no convenient power outlet anyway.

You download the app and it is painting by numbers after that. I was pleasantly surprised with the picture quality that night and by day (pictured).

Early days to report on battery life but so far I like the peace of mind of the deterrent and having everything at your fingertips via the app is so convenient.

VERY happy with this item and I have no hesitation in recommending it.

    Excellent Quality... Easy to Install.

Really liking this product so far. The picture quality is good both day and night and even though I’m still getting used to the best seeing for the motion detection it hasn’t given any false alarms yet.
The only thing that confuses me is that it claims to have a battery life of about 3mths depending on how the camera is used but if you’re outside a lot during the summer then the camera will wake up a lot reducing the battery capacity so a sugar panel is probably needed if you don’t want to keep charging the battery.
Overall I’m happy with the product.

I have been most impressed with the after sales service with ieGeek as they have been very fair and helpfull to me . they sent me sevaral emails and video links to try to help me I spent sevarl hours on the phone to Virgin about their Hub 3 and eventually I got them to split the signals and then I pressed the reset on the rear of the hub and it connected to the camera . I have now installed the camera and am in the process of purchasing the solar panel for it.
I can well recomend this produc

The camera is superbly built and has quite sturdy and right size but its still fairly discrete. It comes with a sturdy mounting plate and bracket which holds the camera firmly in place. Upon installing I made sure I charged the camera to 100% and decided where I would place the unit.
I was pleasantly surprised by the wide field of view which made placement much easier, the quality of the 1080p footage is excellent, the night mode is superb but the most impressive thing for me is the battery life, after one week the camera is still at 100% which is quite shocking considering the amount of time I’ve played about with it watching alert footage and live streaming when am away from home.
Overall I would thoroughly recommend this IP camera, the beauty of this kind of setup is no wires, it took me 10 mins to find a suitable placement and to fix the screws onto the mounting plate & the job is done.
Highly recommended. would definitely buy it again.

I ordered this instead of a ring doorbell as I was worried about it being to accessible to idiots who would probably just rip it off the wall. I imagine it works the same. It send alerts to phone via the app when motion is detected but even when I’m in the house, I don’t get an alert until someone’s about to ring the doorbell. I was hoping it would at least alert me when they got near my car which was the main reason for purchase as we have seen an increase in car thefts in the area.

Everything else overall is good- easy to mount, clear night vision with good picture quality, easy to use app and decent battery life. Just a shame that even with motion detection at the highest the time it takes to send alert to my phone is more delayed than I’d hoped.

Having chosen this camera from several available, and having no real idea of what was available, I think I struck lucky. It arrived next day, and the unit was smaller than expected and reassuringly heavy. The instruction book with it was initially daunting – but the whole process of app download and camera communication was truly easy – I couldn’t believe it all worked first time!
Sound pickup is sensitive, and motion detection area (with a bit of fiddling to get the right angle on the universal bracket) is larger than expected. Sharing the camera on a second phone proved a little more fiddly, until my wife came to the rescue and sorted it with ease: impatience on my part, it is actually pretty simple if you bother to read the manual. Night vision has a good area of illuminance (in black and white).
So, very happy with this. Couple of small recommendations: unable to edit the profile picture on the app despite option to the contrary, and it would be useful to have a sticker included warning people of the camera’s presence – such a warning may be necessary under GDPR.
I would certainly get a second unit at some stage to cover the front of the property, but not sure if the app would cope with a split screen of 2 cameras. Not essential to have this, but useful.

Update: Have now fitted and wired up the solar panel you can get as an addition (around 23). At first nothing seemed to happen, then adjusted the position and the charge symbol appeared on the app screen. Charge went from 2 bars to 5 bars in a couple of days, absolutely delighted as now do not have to de-mount the unit to charge it up. I strongly recommend this panel.

We are delighted with this – it’s an amazing camera for the price. Very easy to install and the phone app is great. The picture quality is much better than we expected and the intercom function was very handy when positioning the camera – hubby was moving it around once it was secured to the wall and I was looking at the picture on my phone indoors and ‘advising’ 😉
We have it at the end of our garden so the wifi antennae are an added bonus for picking up the wifi in the house.

This our 4th iegeek security camera. We had well know branded camera inside and out and 1 by 1 they soon broke.
We replaced them with the iegeek cameras and they perform so much better than the other more expensive cameras.
We have 3 internal camera and the quality is amazing so when our outside camera died (branded one) we replaced it with this. So far it’s been 100% better. The wifi signal is a lot stronger and the batter life is amazing. We still have recharged it and it’s been up for weeks. The night vision is fantastic and to have to option of sd card recording and cloud gives us a little more reassurance if the internet goes down (something that we couldn’t do with the expensive branded one).

I recommend these camera to everyone

    Hands down the best cameras

This is my second battery-powered ieGeek outdoor camera. I gave the first one 4 stars due to some reservations about the CloudEdge app but I am happy to withdraw all those apart from one (see later). The cameras just work really well and the charging via the solar panel is better than I expected. I have had the first one running for several months now in a busy area, so lots of triggers and live views and I have seen the battery percentage only drop to 99% on one occasion. The panel is not getting a huge amount of sun, maximum of only a few hours each day if it’s sunny at all but it’s been enough to keep it charged up over the usually dull winter and early spring days. Night vision is great and miles better than a similarly priced and more well-known brand, which I returned. The first one has already deterred a night-time prowler, who was shining a torch into windows and quickly retreated when he spotted the camera, so it did its job. My only negative comment is that the app seems to run all the time on Android, despite my trying various tweaks to stop it.. I tend to charge the phone about every 1.5 days anyway and that does not seem to have been impacted in any way — the app seems to use about 6% of battery between charges so it must be costing me a couple of hours of charge I guess, but I’ve not really noticed. ieGeek Support are really responsive too. All in all I am really pleased with the purchase and am happy to recommend.

I only received this yesterday, so maybe a bit early to do a full review, but this camera seems to be of the usual good quality I expect from these. I own a number of iegeek cameras and for the price you can’t really fault them. I have an existing older camera model outside my house. It’s been there nearly 4 years and has just started with a few issues, i.e. not recording all the time – need to check the sd card which may sort out the problem, but thought I’d get an updated version for the price. I can use this in another location if I rectify the problem with the existing camera. So far I’ve fully charged the camera and tested it outside, around 15 metres from my router. Now we have pretty poor internet here (17mbps max) but this was working fine on the HD mode. The sounds okay, maybe a little quiet but I need to play around with it more, but the speaker on the camera itself seems pretty decent. I like the fact it’s so easy to insert the sd card in this model, doesn’t involve having to unscrew anything like the old model I have. I’ll update this review once I’ve tested the battery length but so far….all good.

10 days on – still working fine and placed temporarily on our balcony. This is now even further away from the router and has 3 walls between it, our house is made of paper though. I’m testing it a bit longer before installing it properly. Battery still over 90% and I’m regularly looking at it, so it’s getting used more than needed.

Bought this for a holiday home. Setup was easy once I’d figured out it has 2 red lights, one in the connection bay & one in the lens area. Mounted it on an outside wall, for stability using bigger screws than provided, and adding a south-facing solar panel.
Connecting it to the house wifi was easy.
It’s worked flawlessly, staying stable in very strong thunderstorms.
The phone app works well, I use it daily to check view and access any movement alerts. One time the view showed two bright spots on opposite sides of the field of view: caused by a raindrop on the lens, it vanished after 12 hours.
I’ve set it to report movement of people-sized objects, but that only works reliably in the central 25% of the viewed area.
Battery is still reported 100% full.
I am installing 2 more cameras to cover blind spots.

Camera was easy to install, took around 20mins from the point of walking outside to back through the door with up on the exterior of the house

So far the battery is at 85% with 2weeks usage, if the run rate continues at this rate then it’ll be around the 3month mark when it needs a recharge (I tend to check the camera a lot via the app for notifications which will affect the battery life)

The WiFi signal has been holding up well, roughly 85-90% most of the time. Occasionally it will take a few more seconds to load but nothing to complain about and overall performs really well and displays the images quickly
The app is fairly straight forward and allows you to screen shot as well as record live video if you wish

The camera will only record human activity as this helps the battery to last longer. Having said that It would be really beneficial if there was an option to record vehicles as well – I live at the end of a road which is used as a turning bay and cars tend to get close to our driveway so would like the option to record in case of damage to our vehicles
There are the odd occasions where it misses people and doesn’t record them but overall it picks up most passerby’s

For the price, ease of installation and quality of the product I’d definitely recommend. If you prefer a camera to record 24/7 then wireless isn’t for you as it would kill the battery in no time. But for the rest who want some added peace of mind you can’t go wrong

4.0 out of 5 stars Overall, very good quality uni

Great little camera that took minute’s to setup. Really easy getting it all ready to use, the app isn’t huge so I’m not worried about mobile phone storage. Navigation is simple allowing you to access live feed and the intercom ,aswell as access the cloud storage if you have signed upto this service. Its not too pricey either I went with the 3day cloud storage which gives me peace of mind, but there are 3 tiers available. The night vision is crystal clear and there is about 0.8 seconds of lag between live and the feedback on your mobile. Battery has lasted 15 days no problem still at 70% and I was playing with it alot in the first 4 days. Very happy with my purchase

  68. CortneyWhittle says:

I’m really impressed with the camera so far.

It generally picks up most people walking passed, sometimes a little late at times. Just to be certain it dose not record at all times, this would use a huge amount of battery.

The picture quality is excellent both day and night.

Having it connected to the WiFi and on my iPhone is great, I get alerts when it activates and can review the footage from anywhere. Plus it was fairly straight forward to set it all up.

I’ve not bothered with the subscription and have simply installed an SD card to save the footage.

I installed the camera in 5 minutes, I’ve put it near a window so I can charge it when required. It also looks good, and professional.

Can’t attest to the battery life yet but we’ve been messing around with it quite a bit and it’s not dropped a great deal.

The app is a bit clunky, not intuitive in places, but it is perfectly serviceable.

Will be purchasing a second one for the rear of the property soon.

    Would definitely recommend.

Delighted with this camera, which was vey straight forward to set up and install. A good manual is included, albeit the print size is on the small side and not easy to read without magnifying. Charged battery for about 15 hours (as instructed). Have now been using for about a week and battery level is 93%, despite frequent viewing which will surely become less frequent as novelty wears off! The CloudEdge App is basic, but it is intuitive and works well. WiFi signal strength needs to be above 65% otherwise significant camera “lag” occurs – this is made clear in the manual. Picture quality is superb in both daytime and night vision modes. Only minor issue is that there is a lag of a few seconds between camera activation and when it starts recording. This may be due to my WiFi which is basic ADSL, so might be better with a quick fibre WiFi. Overall a very happy customer!

I liked the construction and quality of the cameras, the ease of installation, but although the instructions to connect them were good, they could have been a little larger to make reading easier. Once I had resolved my router problems, the connection was straightforward. Follow these to the letter….then the camera performs.
I have only just installed one today, the other is being fitted tomorrow, but the results from the first one are clear, easily checked via the ‘app’, and very effective. I feel that I will purchase more of these as having seen how well they work I have already identified other areas that could do with extra surveillance. Highly RECOMMENDED.

Wanted something to keep an eye on the car which we were having some issues with. Good vision during the day. Night vision a bit blurry undefined but we knew who the culprit would be so we can deal with that. I think it has its limitations but certainly worth the money for peace of mind. Great to have audio and a speaker for when someone at the door. Used it while I was at the beach and my partner arrived home from work I could tell him his lunch was in the fridge while he unlocked the door . All in all a good bit of kit would recommend.

These cameras are very good. I bought two.

Picture during the day and night is very clear, so far battery life is still at 100% after just a week – time will tell how long this will last, but I hope to obtain the solar panels to keep these charged up.

The wifi signal is picked up easily and is also at 100%.

Ability to switch between standard definition and high definition (though why anyone would want SD?).

I like the APP to control some features on this camera and the dual antennae definitely help with the wifi signal.

I have to say, this is my first experience with CCTV cameras and it has been a very easy process to set up and install so far.

I forgot to buy the microSD card so had to come back to Amazon for those – they are required for the camera set up!

Very good and very happy so far!

For the price this does the job, daytime images are very good and the battery life seems good too. The night time images are not so good but adequate. The motion sensor is a bit fickle and sometimes doesn’t trigger but i think this is ok for the price of the unit.
It comes well packaged, however when you register the unit ( for an extended guarantee and free gift) you are informed that you have to leave a positive review and send a screenshot of said review to receive the gift and guarantee.
It seems that a lot of companies are resorting to these tactics and i think it is time that Amazon weeded them out.
The whole point of reviews is to aid you in your purchase which is impossible if the reviews are fake.

I have found ieGeek very quick to offer help and advice about their security cameras.
I now have quite a number around my garden linked through the app to my mobile phone. All my other cameras have proved to be very effective with a clear view.
The camera has good audio and I can actually speak though it too. My camera
No.1 is quite a distance from my house, but with the help of an extender the signal
is picked up good. The night detection is particularly good too. It is possible to set the motion/infrared sensor for the night and it is amazingly clear. During the winter my cameras have filmed a number of foxes crossing my lawn. The batteries keep constantly charging through the solar panels supplied by ieGeek. I would certainly recommend this camera if you want good security around your house.

The camera was easy to install and has maintained position despite extremely high winds and torrential rain over the past two days. Having set it to only recognise human movement, and, on high sensitivity, it has done just that, with no false alarms due to the weather.
Early days to comment on battery life but with fairly frequent access while ensuring ideal setup, it’s presently at 84%.
The only niggle so far is with the fixing bracket which proved awkward when positioning the camera at the ideal angle, but once achieved, as already mentioned, it hasn’t moved.
It’s about 15 metres from my router through two walls, and is showing a 75% signal strength.
So far happy with the quality for the price, oh! and I never give a 5 star product review as there’s always room for some improvement.

    So far, so good.

First impressions when the iegeek’s ZS-GX2S Battery Powered Camera arrived was excellent. It was well packaged and unpacking revealed a high quality piece of kit. The battery needs to be charged for 15 hours and a micro SD card needs inserting before turning on. The CloudEdge Android app installation was straight forward but I had difficulty getting the app to add the camera through the network. Strangely even thought the app reported that it couldn’t connect to the camera, when the phone was restarted the camera suddenly appeared in the app and worked fine. The picture quality is very good both inside and outside, so too is the wide angle lens. Night vision is also good in black and white. If you want to access the camera from anywhere you will need to sign up to the cloud service which currently costs $30 for a rolling 3 day package for a year, we’ll worth it to have peace of mind whilst away. The camera will store the video on the memory card when triggered by someone approaching. There are a few options in the app that are not included in the user manual which takes a bit of sorting out.
It will be interesting to see how long the battery lasts for. It states upto 180 days but will have to wait to see how long it lasts in reality with the setting that have set up. The camera has been installed next to an upstairs window so when the battery is low it can be easily charged through the window. It was a little tricky getting it to point in the direction you wanted, mainly because when you tighten the nut that holds it in position the whole camera turns. A drop of silicon on the nut did help here. Another option is using a solar panel which is an optional extra.
The only things that could have been better for me would be for the PIR to detect people further away when walking up the drive and an option to run 24/7 when plugged into the mains.
I am very pleased with the purchase and considering purchasing more to site around the building. I would certainly recommend this product.

Further to the first two cameras we brought at the beginning of August, we were so impressed we decided to purchase another. This now gives a good level of security. The picture quality is excellent both on film and as a photo. This camera was installed in a matter of minutes and we are more than happy with all three. After difficulty in understanding installation instructions all worked out fine leaving us with a security system working at a high level of quality. Picture quality is excellent as is motion detection and night vision. 100% suits our needs.

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersFeb 21 Update: Has been in use for about 7 months now, still working well. Batteries didn’t last as long as hoped for/ stated but I haven’t had to charge it since November when the solar panel accessory was fitted. Would have upped my rating to 5 stars if it allowed another phone to connect as its working great for me.

I have owned it for 5 weeks at 1st rating.
    Pros:
Response: the motion sensor does work, the range is about the same as an average PIR.
Image: It’s good enough during daylight, and in my view is good during night time.
Battery: has used approx. 20-25% of charge happy with that.
Presence: I like the fact that it is very noticeable, a visual deterrent.
    Cons:
Single account: Unhappy that only a single phone can connect to the device therefore both check what’s been detected.
Delay: there is a delay between detection and alert, approx. 3 seconds so not a huge delay.
Overall as it’s my first security cam I am quietly impressed with it, the picture quality is good & steady, the unit is unaffected by rain, and does give alerts, so I may buy another.

    Very good but not perfec

Bought this camera to remotely view a property in Spain. I am currently testing in the UK.

So far – the install was easy connected to the WiFi straight away. I bought a 128gb Micro SD card which you can format once installed in the camera. The battery is still showing full after 7 days albeit I intend to connect a solar panel to keep it charged.

Initially Marked it down a star as the motion detection isn’t that brilliant. If it works well I will get more cameras.

    Update 7 months later
As you can see the battery is still at full charge. Always able to access. Other cameras are closer and have already picked out an intruder! Not sure the 2 way audio is up to much

    7 month update

I had been looking for a few months for a camera like this one, but could not commit to buying one until I saw this iGeek camera. It is well made to a high standard of finish. It also looks neater than many other designs.

Downloading the CloudEdge app was quick and simple. I expected to have problems with setting-up the app to work to my requirements, but it was easy, thanks to a 29 page English language manual – NOT a typical Japanese to English translation!

Learning how to get the best out of the app was faster than I expected.

The 4 large Lithium ion batteries should provide a long period before recharging. Superior to replaceable small batteries. As it uses a USB cable (supplied) for charging it, would be possible to recharge in situ with my Anker high capacity battery pack, with the camera still in use.

It follows the new trend of not including a small capacity microSD Memory Card which one throws away to be replaced by a larger one. Thus keeping the camera price lower.

Of advancing age, I need to use my magnifying glass to read the manual, but it probably wont be needed very often. It’s small to fit into the box.

I was dubious about buying a battery camera, but with the reviews I had seen the ieGeek looked just what I needed. The instructions are clear and simple, so once I’d charged it for the 15 hours for first charge I started the install. Absolutely no issues at all, got camera up and running in about 15 minutes. I then placed it outside where I thought Would give the best coverage of the rear garden, and used my phone to do the final adjustments when I was up the ladder. The install could not have been easier.
The picture quality is excellent, the app and options are simple to use but just what’s needed. Best of all….. my wife now feels safer in the house…… job done, Thanks ieGeek.

This camera does exactly what they say it will do - perfec

This camera is really easy to setup and was up and running in 10 minutes. It seems very well made and the long battery life is a real bonus. The app that you use with the camera is also very easy to use and setup. Connecting the camera to my WiFi was unbelievable fast and it told me to update the firmware – this also happened seamlessly. I was looking at buying another camera that was much more expensive BUT before I bought it their customer service was awful so I thought I would try ieGeek and they replied to me within 24 hours so yes for the price this was an excellent buy. Would I recommend it – YES

Golden Review Award: 19 From Our UsersWe wanted a Camera that would capture the wildlife at night time, so the night vision had to be good.

    GOOD POINTS:

    * Very easy to assemble & setup (No fiddly wires to mess around with)

    * Night Vision seems to work very well. The camera has only been up 2 weeks & we’ve already captured lots of wildlife.

    * Motion detection of Humans is pretty much spot on everytime. We have setup Notifications, so whenever a Person is in view it will automatically send a notification to my phone.

    * Battery life is very good. We had to charge it for around 8-10hrs. The two weeks it’s been up the percentage has hardly dropped at all. It will also send you a Notification when the battery life is at 20%.

    BAD POINTS:

    * Camera has to be physically taken off the wall to be charged. (Would be better if the Battery could be removed in order to charge)

    * Motion Detection of Animals is not as good. It picks up humans perfectly, but it seems to struggle with animals, even when they’re up close in the camera’s view.

    Awesome Wireless Camera!!

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersI’ve fitted cctv for over 15years on & off and know the difference between a bad and good system. This camera & app set up is not just good but great, I get a notification every someone enters my property straight away, the picture is clear and the intercom feature is amazing too very loud and clear. I’m waiting on my solar panels but not worried how long the take as the battery life is like the camera amazing. My front door is none stop & has double the average goings in & out as we have a large family but the battery is still on 3 bars and that’s nearly 2 weeks of use the other cameras are still on 4 bars as they aren’t used half as much so I couldn’t be happier with them , the WiFi range can be a problem with many of these wireless cameras but not with these 3 of mine work perfectly and I can view them at anytime no matter where I am , I just select a camera on the app (which is so easy to use and set up the cameras) and I can see what’s happening around my house. The pinch to zoom feature is amazing too (zooming in on the picture not lens zoom) The motion detection is great as is the night vision. So I’m delighted with my 3 cameras they do everything exactly how they are meant to do, worth every penny, easy to install without running cables and drilling through walls or soffits (usually full of asbestos I may add) and work perfectly come rain or shine, the app and integration with the cameras is flawless I can’t recommend them enough.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersHaving used this camera for a couple of weeks now I can’t find fault with it. This is an upgrade from a smaller ieGeek camera and it certainly feels like it. The PIR motion detection is a great feature as it’s no longer triggered by flying insects etc which was a problem on my previous camera. The images are crisp and clear and a real high quality. The camera arrived quickly, very well packaged with easy instructions on how to use and how to install. It feels robust and for it’s size packs a punch with features. The app is very user friendly and I like being able to setup a timer for when I want to record. The battery life in this is amazing, two weeks use and it’s hardly used any of it’s capacity, this is a definite bonus especially if the camera is mounted high enough you need ladders to reach it!
Overall I would highly recommend purchasing this camera. For the money you are getting a high quality, robust camera with an easy to use app which is simple to connect to your home WiFi and also from a company with fantastic customer service. It’s a no brainer.

    What's not to love!

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersThe camera was delivered within 3 days of ordering, very well packed and the set up instructions were easy to follow and apply. I had my camera up and running within 20 minutes of charging the built in battery with the enclosed lead. So far the battery level has reduced very little and I anticipate it seldom needing to be charged. It appears that the camera will also continue to operate with the charging lead plugged in and connected to a suitable power source, although I have not yet tried this out.
Be aware that you need a micro SD Card of up to 128GB. I used one of 64GB and it works perfectly. Note that the seller will provide a free 32GB Card when registering the product with them. This will also activate the warranty for 24 months of FREE returns, fantastically better than the Amazon 30 days!
In the past I have found this company to provide prompt backup support and advice, although I have seldom needed to contact them about anything!
I already have 4 ieGeek cameras at different locations, including a holiday home. For me this new model is a great advance because of it complete portability (subject to maintaining an adequate WiFi signal). This enables me to reposition it and try it out in different places in and around my home.
The software is excellent, although it is different to that used on previous models. It takes a little getting used to, but well worth the time spent.
The camera is solidly built and the supplied metal mount, if used, is very easy to attach to a suitable surface, gives almost complete rotation and is easy to change and lock into direction. It certainly seems properly designed and built for outdoor situations in all kinds of weather. All of my other ieGeek cameras have worked perfectly for a long time and I see no reason to expect this new one will be any different.
    HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersI have 4 different security cameras from ieGeek which are keeping an eye on my property and have not had any trouble with them. This latest camera is fully wireless and is one of the best.
The camera arrived the following day of my order, set up was very easy with clear instructions taking only a few minutes to connect. The picture quality is brilliant with clear image and good colour. Night vision also excellent with clear image. It has 2 antennas which receives good strong quality wireless signal connectivity. The WiFi reading on the camera application shows 100% reading. Camera has other specific features eg 2 way audio connection, looping recording and cloud storage which are very useful. Because of being fully wireless, no power line connection was necessary for me to connect camera, and it can be placed anywhere as long as in WiFi vicinity. It is now a few weeks since I have been using the camera and the battery level still indicates it is nearly full. The motion detection with notification to my mobile phone is another good feature of this camera. I highly recommend this camera to anyone who wants to purchase a fully wireless camera, and I am going to get another one.

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersI bought this Wireless Outdoor Security CCTV IP Camera from ieGeek with 1080P HD Video and 180-Day Rechargeable Battery Life, Two-way Talk, SD Card/Cloud Storage, 65ft Night Vision and PIR Motion Detection. I own a Reolink chargeable camera and every two weeks the battery is empty. Which is frustrating. So I took my chance and bought this ieGeek camera as we have other ieGeek cameras and they perform well. This camera is challenging the big boys and probably even outperforming them. The image is of great quality and all extra features are working great, but the battery life us superb. I am really happy with this camera, because it reduces the frequency of recharging the camera.

Golden Review Award: 65 From Our UsersI am now able to thoroughly recommend this product due to the recent App updates. Previously I was critical of the App which let the product down, but now it is working perfectly due to the updates. The camera is a real quality piece of technology, that was never in question and picture playback is fantastic. Setting it up with the App and WiFi was really easy and installing it outside is simply a 3 screw fixing bracket. WiFi signal outside my house is a superb 90% (approx 20 foot away from router) and the battery expectation as per the item description looks accurate. The unit up on the outside of my house looks excellent and is really a visible deterrent too. When setting it up make sure you play around with the units 2 antennae angles as I found that a slight adjustment with them improved the Wifi signal from 85% to 90%
As the item works entirely as described I would like to add here that I found the Customer Service/Support outstanding. I originally had issues with the functionality of the unit due to issues with the App prior to recent updates as indicated above, however, the email support/communication was never lacking and it is probably this that should give you confidence to buy this product. My Customer Support operative was called Michi and although they are based in China their responses and excellent communication skills was very welcomed, thank you Michi. If I could rate the product design, functionality, App and Customer Service any higher I would. Buy with 100% confidence!

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersI already have other ieGeek cameras outside the house for keeping an eye on the cars and spotting any intruders. I had no hesitation on getting an additional camera from ieGeek as I have found their products to be great value for money. This one doesn’t disappoint. Although I’d prefer a black one to match my other cameras, the White looks fine. Time will tell how dirty it looks after autumn and winter. It was very easy to set up using a QR code for the app then a QR to register the camera to the home Wi-fi. It came partially charged. The two way intercom is a great addition. So far no complaints.

    Excellent security camera

Golden Review Award: 12 From Our UsersFascinating system and a great price. Easy to setup. The best part is, you don`t have to deal with many different unknown options to be able to get the best view. Camera view setup is just perfect. Battery life seems to be pretty accurate and still up above 90% after a week of playing with it more than I should to test. Night vision works very well comparing to previous model. WiFi works fine in my 3 bed terrace house UK. I have brick walls and found I get full bars on front and back cams.
There is no subscription fees. Camera software gives you two different option for data savings. Cloud and SD card. I got 32gb Sd card which works just fine with the camera.
The equipment is neat and feels strong, no flimsy plastics and no bulky cameras or base station and if you do need Customer Services they respond promptly and efficiently. Happy to recommend.

The camera is great compact and depends where you are installing is discrete.

The picture an video quality is good with a good definition of faces and details.
The night vision is also good. It use is own led and in picth dark I can still have. A clear face images of the person in front of it.
The battery are promised to last at least 180 days. I did not have for so long, however battery wise it looks promising.
The camera has a sd slot up 128gb.i personally use a 32gb and if I need to save something I record on my phone via the software.
The camera software is really easy and simple to install and to use.
Overall I am satisfied and I am planning to buy another two for my business also

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersI purchased this camera due to the longer battery life of the previous model I have, which is also good.
It came well packaged and next day.
The unit is good quality and video recording is top quality. I have this one set up in the rear garden with no issues with WiFi due to the adjustable antennas. The motion detection is quick and clear. All footage is secured on an mini SD card not included and encrypted so cannot be viewed from laptop or Pc for added security. To view alarmed events or live footage you use an app on your mobile device downloaded from your relevant store. The app is feature packed also. All events are instantly notified on your mobile device and recorded clips saved to the card. The camera is charged via mini USB or you can hook up a solar charger panel sold separately. All in all I am very impressed with this camera and can highly recommend.

Golden Review Award: 60 From Our UsersI’ve been after a CCTV unit to keep an eye on my property for a while and when I saw this unit I thought i’d give it go. I could not be happier with it. The manufacturers give this unit IP65 rating which should mean it is well built to withstand all weather conditions. From getting the unit out of the box it feels well made and comes with good instructions. I charged the unit, turned it on, held down the reset button on the underside till it bonged, downloaded the app, setup an account, searched for the unit, scanned the QR code displayed on the screen and that was pretty much it! Worked first time. The image on the unit has two options, HD or SD, the app offers alarm scheduling (so you don’t have it going off during the day or when you are actually home). Day and Night mode and a raft of different options including two way communication, night vision etc. Recording is via a cloud subscription or onboard via an SD card, not surpplied. Overall I’m pretty pleased, the battery seems to hold a good charge with the option of attaching a solar panel unit to it so it trickle charges is a great addition (bought separately). I already have two ie Geek cameras in the house and yet again they seem to have produced a good product.

Brilliant - Easy to set-up, well built, happy to recommend

Golden Review Award: 37 From Our UsersOK I have had this camera for a week now, I’ve tested the battery and HD quality, firstly the camera is superbly build and has quite a weight to it and size but its still fairly discrete . It come’s with a sturdy mounting plate and bracket which holds the camera firmly in place. Apon installing i made sure i charged the camera to 100% and decided were i would place the unit.
I was pleasantly surprised by the wide field of view which made placement much easier, the quality of the 1080p footage is excellent, the night mode is superb but the most impressive thing for me is the battery life, after a week the camera is still at 100% which is quite shocking considering the amount of time I’ve played about with it watching alert footage and live streaming when am away from home.
Overall i would thoroughly recommend this IP camera, the beauty of this kind of setup is no wires, it took me 10 mins to find a suitable placement and to fire up the screws onto the mounting plate job done, and if the battery lasts for three to four months between charging am more than happy.

Superb wireless IP camera Unbelievable battery life.

Golden Review Award: 17 From Our UsersI have have previous iegeek cctv cameras for my business premises. 2 years down the line and they are still working great and got a great picture quality. I have a driveway at home which I need to see my dogs on there I have no access to power so seeing this new product I would give it a go. Its a nice small size, with two adjustable aerials to revive the WiFi signal. I first charged the camera up via the USB cable provided. Charged in 4 hours total. I downloaded the app. From the android playstore. And linked up the camera to the app via the qr code on the app screen. Connected first time. The app is the same as the rest of the manufactures apps. All does the same. You can record movement from a micro sd card which is accessed underneath the camera. The pic quality is great. Colours are good too. App loads and connects pretty qiuck. You can disconnect the cctv from the bracket. Easily. For recharging of the batteries. Built in. Not sire how long they last. But it has got a handy power level like you got on you mobile phone to see how much power you have left. Great cctv for a situation we’re you have no way of keeping it powered up 24/7 great solution.

    Completley wireless cctv

Golden Review Award: 27 From Our UsersI bought this camera off the back of the fact that the other two I bought by the same company just do the job. It’s as simple as that. Technology frustrates me a lot. But these I have had no bother with at all.
I have already reviewed the Android App regarding the previous cameras so I’ll keep this short.

    SOFTWARE.

What can I say, the set up is child’s play. Basically download the app, add the camera you have, which is shown in pretty pictures rather than words. Add your wi fi password, up pops a QR code on your phone and simply point it at the camera and wait for the jingle sound.
Hey Presto, the camera is set up and done. Now just systematically go through the meus and see what it can do. There are slighty different detection tabs with this camera to the smaller models I have. Notibly and probably better detection settings specifically for night and day juman detection. If you want to add another model, to the software you simply press the plus tab and do the above. Done in seconds rather than minutes.

    SETTING UP THE CAMERA.

This is a much bigger camera than the smaller models. Therefore the fixings do not have the optional magnetic attachment. The noticeable difference with this model is the wi fi antennas. As an example I have a small house and the position of the front and back way cameras are set exactly at the same distances from the router. The signal strength on this model is 70% compared to the smaller model at only 47%. So a good improvement there. The mount fixing screw is different to the smaller models, see image, and allowed me to do this while stretching out the window and manipulating it one handed. Compared to the fixing given for the smaller cameras which have a grub type screw that requires both hands to fix it while holding the camera. This fixing is let down only by the plastic tightening washer to the camera back. You really need that tight and I managed to rip out the threads on it. Only hand tighten it, do not use pliers! Ironically the smaller cameras have a metal washer, so I had a spare and fixed that tight before mounting using pliers. The image shows the smaller metal fixing attached.

    FINAL NOTES

Things to think about before you start!

Don’t forget to put in an mini SD card first! Don’t be a silly billy like me. I got it all up and had to take it down again.
Mount the camera in a place you can easily access it. When it rained a few small droplets landed on the lense area. The glass in front is flat so no issues with a quick wipe down.

Not really any bad points apart from the screw issue, it needs to be metal on this heavier camera. The mount is also on the back so it projects much further out, away from the wall so mounting it under an eve will not give it any extra protection against Sun glare and rain. But it is fully water proof anyway. The camera is less descreet than the small ones. This can be a good or bad issue. Could make it harder to place a cage over it. The tiny rubber feet on the bottom of the camera came out easily while I was twisting the camera on. Might be worth taking those out then reapplying.

Only time will tell regarding longevity. Still for now 5 stars.

    Bigger better!

Golden Review Award: 50 From Our UsersThis is my third iGeek camera and, I must say, they keep producing high quality and very usable products. I’ve had several different types of WIFI battery powered outdoor security cameras in the past and the two areas that make or break a good PIR camera are (1) the “intelligence” of the PIR motion sensing which triggers the recording and (2) the battery life. I had Netgear’s Arlo system with 5 cameras and each one took 4 CR123 lithium batteries. The motion detection would trigger with insects, rain drops, shadows, change in sunlight levels and every manner of things whilst often human motion would be ignored completely. And each trigger event just kept draining the batteries. So I was lucky to get 4 weeks out of a set of batteries with all the false positives. And at 25 for a new set of batteries for all 5 cams, Arlo became a very expensive project.

Fast forward to this iGeek camera, for c. 90 you get intelligent motion detection which does not do false positives and hence, the battery lasts. I haven’t had it long enough to test the claims of 180 days battery life but the fact it is rechargeable means it costs next to nothing to run. And add a cheap solar panel – plug it into the iGeek and that’ll keep it charged up indefinitely.

The setup is very straightforward, the image quality is full HD 1080p and the dual antennae mean that it’s range is much further than other WiFi cameras. The app is simple to use and monitor all your cameras through the one app.

Overall a great little camera which easily betters the big-boy competitors – oh and you don’t need a pesky hub – it just connects directly to your WiFi router.
