Unpacked filled with oil and petrol and started first pull. Connected into house mains and it ran everything we would need in the event of a power outage. Nice quality inverter generator for the price.
Very quiet generator starts first pull of the cord has been handling a load of 1000w with ease. Putting in Aspen ethanol free fuel to avoid stale fuel issues that can plague small carburettors. Remember to get some 10-40W oil as it ships empty and none included.
After a couple of pulls and choke adjustments it started and ran fine.
No issues so far – but still to use in anger.
It is a tad heavy and I think I might get a little trolley to wheel it about if I need to to. At the moment it is static being used in case of power cuts as we live in a rural area.
I would say the noise level is acceptable and expected for a generator but SILENT it is not. It runs smoothly and cleanly which is good enough.
There are no operating instructions at all and the only online instructions I could find were for a different model. Luckily it was similar and explained most switches etc. Red switch = on/off Black switch = economy mode but only with NO load. The large round black Knob is the fuel shutoff for when not in use.
I hooked it up to my converted container office and it worked as well as could be expected. My mini oven was too much for it when set to full power fan oven but again expected. Just check appliance wattage and keep within the generators rated capacity. It’s only on standby in case Solar can’t cope occasionally so too soon to say how well it will last. Happy so far.
Starts first pull of the cord, and does the job perfectly.
