Try it for a couple weeks of every day use before you rate
I’ve been using this daily for a few months now and I actually really like it. I do rotates and oil changes for 40 hrs a week and this does great. It’s not the strongest but it doesn’t have to be. It struggles from time to time, but that’s only from people over torquing them with stronger guns.
Personally I like how quiet and light weight it is. Torque capabilities have never been a concern.

Exactly what I was looking to protect my $300 impact wrench from getting all hacked up when dragged across the garage floor.

Love the brand. Replace my old one that was 15 years old and just getting tired. Love the quiet version more then I thought I would.

    Very powerfull
    Finally upgraded from an old
mac tools 434 and wow does this thing hit hard. I bought the quiet version and it is a game changer.
As a 20yr auto tech this gun to get.
The trigger is great for feathering lugnuts on and when going full pull the bolts come loose in seconds, with very little vibration felt in your hand.
I should’ve upgraded to this years ago.

    Fits Perfectly!
Great boot to protect your investment. It fits very tight and snug.
It was a bit difficult to slip over the impact gun but once you get it on its awesome!
I have dropped my impact gun many times with this cover and its protected it no problem.

Although it's a bit top heavy the 1350 ftlbs of nut obliterating torque it gives you far outweighs any of the less comfortable aspects of the impact. Save yourself the money don't bother with snap on or Matco get the tried and true that with proper maintenance will last you a lifetime plus a couple.

This fits perfectly and gives peace of mind when quickly placing your expensive impact wrench on a hard surface like concrete or asphalt. It will protect your impact wrench from cracks and scratches with normal use, but will give minimal protection against drops from above 1 foot.

A smart investment for an expensive impact. Rather than have your tool wear down from dirt and scratches you can have these boots get nasty and then simply change it out for a new one. No harm done and it extends the life of the impact drastically. Be aware that oil and fluids can become trapped within the boot should the impact itself get splashed on or used with oil covered hands. Practice good hygiene and you have nothing to worry about.

After weighing up all the options of price to power this is definitely the option. There are a couple that are more power but the price skyrockets for those impact guns. Definitely worth all the money.

A little exaggerated on how much torque it puts out.
It’s very quiet compared to any other impacts.
    Very light weight, small.
It’s a stubby so don’t expect to loosen nuts and bolts that a 1/2″ or 3/4″ impact does.
I like it and I’m satisfied.
I’ve been using it and it’s working just fine so I don’t know what others who claim theirs just broke after a few weeks we’re trying to do with theirs.
This lil derringer is alright and gets the job done.
I use a cordless 3/8 impact and it shakes, rattles, and makes all kinds of racket while my stubby just quietly loosens things up!

The impact wrench is small and light weight but packs a punch without the loud sound of a typical air impact wrench. It's very comfortable in the hand without causing any undue strain from extended use. I really like the tool it's just too bad that it's made in China

If you own an impact tool with a grease fitting, this is really the only way to get grease into it. Most people never do this and it kills the tool. The cheaper air impact tools don't usually have a fitting for greasing the internals.

This thing is the Miata of the impact world
The good: Small and very ergonomic, I got the Q which is very quiet

    The bad: underpowered as f***

The ugly: its leaking grease out of the output shaft pretty bad. it stopped after sending a few big boys home, but I think they should work on sealing these a bit better. Also the manuals should detail how to maintain these (what grease/ oil to use, and where to put it).

Overall good for those hard to reach spaces, but this won’t work as your only

A redesign - and cost-cutting - of an old favourite. Still a winner.
I’m a full-time working tech of 20+ years. As you can see in the photo, I’m not new to IR tools; I also have the slightly larger 2235Ti 1/2″ and a 2115Ti 3/8″ (which I love). My 2135Ti needs a new anvil and rebuild, so I bought this QXPA to replace it as it’s the direct descendant.

Obviously, it’s waaay quieter than my old non-Q gun. It took a over week of use to break-in and free up, working fine, but clearly not free-spinning internally. The quality of the handle’s molding is unimpressive; I shaved it with a razor blade to make it flush and comfortable. It’s also a couple hundred dollars less expensive than my Titanium was, so there’s that. Weight-wise, they’re very similar.

I was concerned after reading some negative reviews that this tool would be gutless. It is not. Note the above break-in period I experienced. If you’re going by the torque ratings, prepare to be disappointed – they’re about as accurate as automotive fuel economy ratings with any brand’s impacts (yes, I’ve owned Snap-on, Mac, and AirCat guns…). The claimed outputs are laughable for all of them. Will it tighten lug nuts well beyond spec for anything 1 ton and under? Easily, but like any air tool, it needs both sufficient pressure AND volume. Available CFM is critical.

Having only had it for a few weeks I’ve yet to challenge this new 2135QXPA, but before the anvil wore out, if my old 2135Ti wouldn’t undo it, you could be assured that at minimum a big Johnson bar would be required to move it manually. Keeping in mind that that the “Quiet Tool” muffling lessens total power slightly, I expect this tool to perform comparably. So far, so good.

Covers well, looks good, sort of transparent. Got this for my 231C. Looks good and covers a decent portion of the tool. FOR EVERYONE SAYING IT WAS TOUGH TO GET ON: PUT A BOWL OR POT IM YOUR AINK, RUN THE TAP AS HOT AS IT WILL GO AND THROW THE COVER IN THE BOWL. LET IT SIT FOR APPROX TWO MINUTES. SLIDES ON WITH MINIMAL EFFORT. Will update as use goes on.

I've used this item on past Ingersol Rand air guns. It always worked great and lasted a long time. This time, I purchased it to install on a Harbor Freight clone of the Ingersol Rand 231. It's been installed for 18 months and still looks great. It saves your gun from getting all scratched up.

Looks awesome. Great Pete room for the body of the tool. Makes you feel less guilty dragging it by the hose across concrete. It’s a BEAR to get on. A little silicone spray and some swearing worked for me.

Very good tool... lightweight and quiet, easy to use all day long, case materials dont scratch too easily. Nice speed and great torque. If you're working in an auto shop this belongs in your toolbox

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersProfessional tech. Incredible smooth power. Incredibly lightweight and unbelievable how quiet it is. Hits like a truck but somehow doesn’t transfer the hammer into you hand. Hits hard but knows how to back itself off so as to not snap the heads off. Only drawback is I have a 9.5” hand (NFL QB avg) and the grip is pretty big in circumference making it rub on my knuckle. Maybe there was a slimmer option and I missed it. Dunno, I’m sure I’ll get used to it and even knowing this I wouldn’t trade it.

Purchased this product for my IR 2235ti impact gun, and it's well worth the cost. Fits perfectly, and looks to made from quality material. I would recommend heating this boot up a little to ease installation. Letting it sit out in the sun on a warm day would work well enough. Very satisfied with this product and would definitely recommend to anyone looking to add some exterior protection to 2235 series IR impact gun.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersIngersoll-Rand is one of the best company for tools. I have used the same impact gun for 20 years now. I don’t understand some of these negative reviews, probably they don’t know how to maintain the Impact Tool but you have to use oil before every use to maintain its full efficiency. It’s the same for every other machine, you need oil!!

Fits nice and tight. I chose this one for my 2235 even though this is for the 2135 because of the tighter more snug fit around the anvil. I put a heat gun to it to loosen it up a bit and on it went.

Very easy to slide over the gun when you place in hot water for a minute. Fits nice and you are still able to find the reverse button.

    Ingersoll Rand 2135QXPA
Purchased this boot cover for my impact gun I got over Christmas the 2135QXPA model. Did some searching and found that this boot would fit over my gun. The boot is super tight and takes some.arm strength to fit on the fun but it will fit snug. I had to use a flat head screw driver to pry over the body of it but once it did it fit on it perfectly.

    Very happy with purchase

A great bit of kit, (I used to have one but it got stolen-enough of my sob story) with more than enough power (tried against sealey & snap on & beat them both- easily!)

Perfect fit, good quality material, I use a air dryer instead of hot water like some suggest to slip this "Boot" over my 2235 QTiMax air impact wrench, perfect K.I.S.S way to do it! :-)

This airtool was very expensive, so protecting it was very important. The cover was easy to install because I searched the internet and was advised to warm it up before putting on. It seems like it will be durable, I hope it is because I think it was a little expensive, but in my oppinion necessary.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI cant believe how quiet this impact gun is. I have used an inexpensive "import" gun for a number of years and actually considered a 2nd one as a replacement, but I found the IR 2135QXPA on Black Friday and decided to take a chance. Holy smokes, at $129 (only about $30 more than the comparable import) this thing is awesome! No more high pitch "squeal" when I pull the trigger, basically all you hear is the hammer - much like a battery operated impact. Serious business! A new customer with mild hearing loss says THANKS for such quiet & well made quality tool. I will certainly be looking at the Ingersoll Rand brand tools first when adding to my air tool collection.
