Was a tadge dissapointed with the movement which can seen on the inside face. It did not have the yellow surface with the written name embossed upon it. I missed this as it gave a touch of distinction when putting it on,however I view the watch as value for money.
Great value , good daily rate comfortable, nice looking.
A few improvements could be made to the brushing , No Date hacking on mine so faulty. Lack of paper for instructions annoying . Not same model shown no yellow ( now famous ) rotor.
Ok for the price you don t expect a lot and I will say the face is slightly smaller than i expected but apart from that i have been impressed with this watch, its sturdy enough, looks the part good finish and keeps good time and having the Magnified date really makes a difference in that you can actually see the date, if you are like me and like the expensive watches but not the price tag you could definitely do worse than buying this watch
Item arrived right on the scheduled date. Brilliant item, it sure looks the thing! Durable, truly waterproof, quite suitable for swimming. Clasp snaps quite firmly, gives you a sensation of safety. I have it for a full two weeks now and it is loosing 2 minutes. Despite that, a very good value for money purchase. All in all, absolutely recommended
I am reviewing this watch only after 5 days of ownership.
First, it looks much better in flesh than the crappy pics on line.
So far more than three people noticed on y wrist ans asked what brand is that. Eye catcher
The bracelet is amazing for the price, there is no squeaking or discomfort. It’s incredibly comfortable wear and suits a 7″ wrist.
This watch really disappears on the wrist. The date window is clear and the lume is actually decent.
Overall, pleasantly surprised by the quality and happy about this watch.
I had the stainless coin edge bezel version of this a few years ago. I recall it taking 3 or 4 attempts to get one that was satisfactory but in the end it was decent enough but I sold it on. So fast forward a few years and I’m back but this time it’s in gold. If I’m honest this was bought on impulse and purely as a bit of fun as I have quite a few other “proper” watches to choose from as daily drivers. However, to give this watch some credit it’s actually not half bad. There are many Chinese brands that offer superior specs to this watch these days. I’ve had a few in the past and with the exception of San Martin and Sugess I’ve always found them compromised in some areas. Invicta have been honing their craft with these pro-divers for years now so by now they know what they are doing and you almost know what to expect. This one arrived pretty much flawless so I’m wondering have they upped their levels of QC. The bezel has a very good action and lines up almost perfectly with zero bounce or back play. Cyclops is also applied straight which is one of the issues I had previously. The Seiko nh35 appears to be running well and keeping good time and everything operates smoothly including the crown which is better then some of my more expensive pieces. The dial and handset look great and match the rest of the watch perfectly although the lume is not that great. Apparently these are plated in actual gold, either 18k or 23k depending what you read. It’s done to an extremely high standard and there’s no missed areas anywhere at all, the whole effect is blingy yet classy at the same time. I remember gold tone watches from the 70s and they used to wear off badly within a couple of months but YouTube reviews suggest that these hold up very well even with rough treatment. The only real issue I had was with the bracelet which is often a criticism. There were a couple of links on one side that were quite stiff and getting the push pins out was a real challenge. I have a feeling these issues were caused by the thick plating which I assume is done while the bracelets are already assembled. I managed to delete the stiff links so all good now.
So to sum up, this a surprisingly nice looking watch thats well finished and put together. It’s a bit flashy and I may well never wear it outside the house but as a bit of watch fun it’s hard to beat and I may be back for more.
Lovely timepiece but ruined as not luminous how do I get it exchanged for one that is luminous. Thanks
A great looking watch. Automatic Seiko movement. Impressive value for money given the price versus specification.

I wasn’t expecting too much for a 62 watch but was really surprised at the feel and quality of this watch. I have a number of watches in my collection, some costing over 6k and yet this watch sits happily beside them. I have just returned from a weekend at Alton Towers and the Water park there and wore it the whole time.. it’s fast becoming my go-to everyday watch!
Not tried water resistance yet, but accuracy is good build is ok for the money!
Bought this as a precursor to how I felt having a proper watch on my wrist, it’s a bit gaurish due to the flash bracelet, but intend to replace it with a strap, quite happy with it as a moveme
High class amazing I own a Rolex submariner the hulk and this invicta watch is the beat watch I have ever brough
Well, received one of these half an hour ago. Feels a lot more expensive by a country mile than what I paid for it. Bought a link removal tool for 6 quid to go with it and it took five minutes to remove the links I needed taking out.
Set the time and date quite easily. I suspect if you are ham fisted you may have problems with the screw down crown – be gentle.
I’ll update on performance at some point.
As for diving, I wouldn’t. I popped a Seiko rated to 200M at 35M, so wouldn’t with this. Get a dedicated diving watch or watch fans get your expensive ones with a higher rating. I will be doing my morning swim with it every day starting tomorrow though.
I’m no watch expert but this is definitely a nice piece of kit and feels a lot more expensive. Depends on how it last over time, but very pleased out of the box.
**Edit 15/09/2021
Posted the above a week ago yesterday. According to the Atomic Clock as of last night, it has lost 25/6 seconds in a week. Extremely impressed and very pleased.
In my 24hours of testing it, it has been very accurate (about a few milliseconds off but this could be considered human error so realistically maybe a few seconds at worst in about 5 hours). Water resistance seems great, lubrication was alright on the one I received. However the dials are not as bright in the dark compared to the hands. Lastly it seems slightly bigger in the pictures than it actually is, besides that its a great watch for the price (update) after about a week with the watch its only one minute off compared to my other devices. In terms of the features it offers, everything is great except the lume which is not very visible on the dials
Very cool watch at a great price ..lots of video s
On YouTube which helped me purchase this fantastic watch accuracy to 2+ seconds a day
All this for around 80 I got mine for 64 box was damaged…..
ice watch but a bit expensive for what it is invicta was cheeper on a cruse ship so would not buy again but nice dress watch
Having searched high and low for a decent, waterproof, automatic divers watch, I was drawn to this Invicta 8926 (despite the online snobbery surrounding the brand)
At 74.95 it was considerably cheaper than the 8926OB (original bezel) model at 103.00, which in my opinion doesn’t look as good. I’m not that fussed about it looking exactly like the Rolex Submariner it is based on and much prefer the Seamaster style bezel found on this model.
After removing 3 links and altering the micro adjustments on the clasp (using the watch strap tool kit I purchased from Amazon at the same time) the watch is a perfect fit and feels comfortable on the wrist. There is a decent ‘heft’ to the piece which makes you feel you’re wearing something of value but not so heavy as to be cumbersome.
Having had the watch for a week the Seiko NH35A mechanism appears to be keeping time well as I check it against my iPhone daily.
I half expected buyer’s remorse once I removed the watch from its bright yellow box but can report none so far.
Yes Invicta have gone a little overboard placing their name anywhere and everywhere it will fit but that doesn’t put me off. I’m not looking to pretend I’ve got a Rolex. I just wanted a good looking, decent quality automatic divers watch which is most definitely what I received.
Great looking watch at a fantastic price, would recommend Invictus watches to anyone looking for a great watch that is reliable and great looking. This is my second Invitation watch.
I didn’t buy it because it looked expensive but as a general-purpose watch for work. I also swim and dive so I wanted a decent water resistance. It has a window for the automatic mechanism at the back. I do supply school teaching and often the pupils ask about it -so it’s fun to pass it around the class which can spark interesting educational discussions.
I received this watch 2 days ago and was impressed as soon as I opened the box.
I have owned more expensive ones in the past that to be honest did not look or feel as good as this
The dial is a very nice blue and a little darker than the bezel which creates depth to the look of the watch.
Some of the reviews I read said the face was purple but it is not although I wore it yesterday in very bright sunshine and you do get a purple flare on the glass if you look from the right angle.
The time and date are easy to set and I did not find the crown loose or flimsy as some other reviews have stated and it is easy to wind back in to lock it. In 30 hours it seem to have gained about 6 seconds.
I have only showered in it so far with no problems.
The bezel is stiff to move but frees up once it starts moving, and the luminescence of the hands and digits is quite good and lasted better than some others I have had. Neither of these is a big problem for me as I have no intention of ever diving with it, just snorkel and swim.
The cyclops is well positioned and magnifies the date well.
All in all a fantastic, substantial looking watch for the price.
The only minor fault for me was the bracelet which is very long, although looks good is not as solid as I would have hoped and the pins were quite loose when I took some links out.
I also have a 9404SYB model (white face with black and red bezel) arriving from the US in August and will update this post when it arrives.
I’ve had mine for a week now and it’s been keeping pretty good time. It gains maybe a few seconds a day, which is common with automatics. It should be easy to calibrate so i may have a go (plenty of info online for this). Generally, the watch is heavy with a solid and expensive feel to it. The bezel is tight but still easy to turn. The face is very attractive with no sloppy markings and the bezel lines up perfectly with the 12 o’clock position. It looks a lot more expensive than it actually was. The BAD news is the strap, it’s cheap and nasty. The links were loose and it felt cheap. Not a problem though as I had a spare black leather rally strap (the ones with holes) which looks gorgeous on this watch. Took about 1 minute to swap the straps over. If they’d sold it with a decent leather strap, this would be a 5 star review. NB I have not tested the water resistance so no idea on that.
I bought this as a dress watch, it lives up to my expectations. It’s heavier than my other watches but comfortably sits on the wrist.
I love the colour and design. It keeps time very well, +2 seconds per day. It’s very easy to set with no fluctuations when changing the date or time.
The Seiko movement in this watch can run between +3 and +9 seconds per day from my experience, depending on how much you move around.
Mineral crystal on front and back with a magnifying glass (possibly 2x magnification), it is good enough for my eyes and I like the looks of it.
The case is well done, very reminiscent of the submariner in terms of shape and size, polishing is good but the brushing on top of the lugs is rough. Bezel insert is made of PVD steel.
The bracelet is rattly, secure and comfortable, push pins, solid links, hollow end links and pressed clasp. It will probably last a long time if you don’t wear it too tight, they may stretch over time depending on use.
Lume is useless, while the hands and bezel pip are somewhat bright initially, they run out quickly. Lume on the indices doesn’t even glow unless it’s pitch black.
In terms of QC, my watch came with a fingerprint on the caseback and rotor, a scratch on the rotor and 2 scratches on the movement base. I opened the watch myself and wiped the fingerprints but I couldn’t do anything about the scratches.
A lot of corners were cut to achieve this price but I still recommend this watch. It kinda looks like an old rolex.
I paid 63 delivered for the Invicta pro diver 9094 blue coloured model. I didn’t expect much for such a cheap price, but I got a lot more than I paid for. The automatic movement inside is the Seiko N-H35A, bidirectional auto rotor winding, hacking, screw down crown, ability to hand wind as well, mineral glass (wish it had sapphire). Checked the watch carefully, no quality control issues, decent enough bracelet. Cyclops well positioned and actually does a great job of magnifying the date, main reason I bought it was trouble seeing the date on some of my other watches.
If like me you see a beauty in automatic mechanical movements and incredulity that something purely mechanical, springs rotors cogs and clockwork can be accurate to seconds a day, then this is a nice watch to place in your collection, or as a first watch. The accuracy of mine on a timegrapher seemed to steady at a few seconds + per day, but in reality, on the wrist I will be happy if I am within +8-10 seconds per day. I will feed back how good it is when worn. It’s important to remember that these watches will never be anywhere near as accurate as their much cheaper quartz brothers. By cheaper I mean the quartz movements can be a few pounds whereas the mechanical movements cost much more and they have something a quartz movement can never have….soul.
I see it’s gone back up to 92.51, still good value, but perhaps again they will drop in price on a deal and if you see a 9094 pro diver automatic for under 80, jump on it. Try and make sure it’s fulfilled by amazon and not an import, that way you will have a European warranty.
Update:
Been wearing the watch for a few days now and the accuracy on the wrist is amazing, someone in the factory obviously set this movement up right and assembled it carefully. The accuracy over 48 hours is incredible, it has gained just 3 seconds in 2 days. Less than 2 seconds per day…this is unbelievably good for an automatic movement of this calibre.
Just a note on the link pins, either have the proper tools, or take it to a jeweller to get the bracelet adjusted. One of my link pins was very stiff and without the proper tools would either have been impossible to extract or you might have damaged the bracelet. All the other pins were normal. I have read you can get the odd tight pin. Sized and on the wrist it looks great though. I just wish Invicta did the same watch with sapphire crystal.
Update, the watch has been worn since 8 August 19 when I received it. The accuracy has settled down to just under -2 seconds a day in the last few weeks and since the 8th of august to today 27th August has lost only 10 seconds in that time….incredible for 19 days. I’m sure it can’t last, but so far it’s the most accurate mechanical watch I own and the cheapest watch I own (it was just for fun). I’ve since decided I will try and respect it a little as it’s such an accurate timekeeper….a most unexpected purchase.
I am a watch enthusiast and I must admit that this watch is beautifully made and looks mighty expensive. It is super accurate for a perpetual watch and I am so happy with my purchase. I love Invicta watches. I bought my first invicta sixty years ago. Brings back a lot of good memories.
It’s early days because I have only had it a week but this is a beautiful timepiece
I don’t know how they do it at this price point
Yes it doesn’t keep perfect time, mine gains about 13 seconds a day, but you don’t buy a mechanical watch for accuracy
If you want that, you get get a cheap quartz for less than a fiver
This watch looks and feels much more expensive than it is and I am delighted
Ordered another, the 8927OB
A few months in, still gaining just over 10 seconds a day, still love it… I own a Seiko Solar, Accurist quartz, Longines autos, Tudor autos and Rolex watches… for value for money these are top notch
Update… I have owned this for a few months now and over the past couple of weeks I have had a go at regulating it.. I would not even attempt this with an expensive auto, but if you are careful, patient, and use a loop it can be done.
The result is that this watch now runs at a consistent plus 2 seconds a day. Just to give a comparison, my Rolexes all run at plus 0.5 to plus 2, my Longines at plus 4 and my Tudor at plus 0.6. Quite remarkable that this can be achieved at this price point and says a lot about the quality of the Seiko NH35 autimatic movement.
The watch still looks great.
Now 4 years old and on a suede strap. The original strap is still fine stored in a drawer. I just prefer it on a suede. See the photos. One of my beater watches when out and about walking the dog or whatever. Nothing wrong with it. Still gains a few seconds a day, less than 5…Not swam in it but it has seen plenty of water, rain, washing the pots or the car etc. No issues. I mean it cost about 60 quid. It has already lasted longer than I expected.
I have some very expensive watches, but for knocking about in as a beater watch this is great. A few years back one of my Rolexes was damaged during an attempted mugging. I ended up selling it even after it was successfully repaired. I never felt the same about it after that. If the same happened while I was wearing this I would give them the Invicta and buy another…
I smacked another vintage Rolex on a door handle and cracked the plastic crystal. Hence why I now have a few beater watches like this…
Sure it isn’t a Seiko, but it has a Seiko movement…and it isn’t a Seiko auto diver price…
Sure it isn’t a Rolex Sub, but you don’t compare a Skoda Citigo with a Ferrari…
I believe from other buyers there may be some quality control issues. But I bought a good one and any issues are likely to show up quickly.
The way I see it is that a watch is not just a watch, but a timepiece. A beauty of engineering in miniature. This is what the Invicta is to me. Sure a Rolex, Omega or a Patek Phillipe are too, but with the thousands of pounds I’ve saved by not letting my ego or brand snobbery effect my decision, I can spend the money on things that truly matter, children, meals out, etc….
So for me it’s a no brainier. Beautiful watch, keeps very good time (my life isn’t timed to the millisecond, no ones is), I’ve tested the water resistance and up to 20meters it’s 100% satisfactory. If your diving more than that you’d be wearing a dive computer anyway, unless your a moron in which case go for it, it’ll save a bit of oxygen for the rest of humanity with the brains needed to realise a dive computer is a must.
The case and materials used are very pleasing to look at and feel, yes you can get better, but once again we come back to the money saved. With the naked eye and even with a jewellers loop, the lettering and polishing and brushed metal are way more than could normally be expected.
The only issue which might arise is the price of servicing it, as it is an automatic, which will eventually require servicing. The cost of this at present in the UK is approximately 120, twice the price of the watch, however you can buy a watch makers tool kit and a brand new movement for 30, or bin it and by another. The watch will keep decent time without service for at least 3 to 5 years and probably beyond, meaning it cost 1/3 of a penny per day. Again no brainier.
Hope this helps you to decide, in my opinion but it, if you don’t agree, then amazon will refund you the full price, so you can’t loose.
My husband loves watches and has a variety, including a couple of vintage Longines, some Victorian pocket watches and others. He is not terribly careful with watches and the most he has spent on a watch was about 800.
He asked for this one because he likes automatics, and is sick of watches he doesn’t use running out of battery power.
We didn’t expect too much for the price, but he likes the NH35 movement and chose the non-coin edge bezel so it would look less like a Submariner (he really does not like Rolex!).
Delivery was good and first impressions were excellent. The watch weighs about the same as his other automatics, looked nice without being too blingy and was packaged well.
We had read that the strap wasn’t high quality, but actually it is really nice. The closing mechanism isn’t as smoothly finished as a Longines or even a Bulova, but is fine, and very secure.
The watch has been worn for about a week now and has lost about 40 seconds, and that is without any regulation, which seems incredible for the money. Also, the date is very visible, a problem he has with another favourite, his Citizen Eco-drive, and can be read without him putting on his specs.
Only disadvantage is that the lume, which is very clear initially, seems to fade quickly, but that is not a big issue.
The watch get very appreciative comments from colleagues, one of whom thought the second hand emblem was an Aston Martin one!
Being mineral glass and with an aluminium bezel insert, it may scratch easily, but this was bought as a watch to wear without worrying about knocking it, and for the price it is great.
If you want a status symbol, this is not for you, but if you want a well finished watch at a great price, with a good, reliable engine, I would have no hesitation in recommending it.
Have now owned my Invicta Pro Diver for 5 months to make sure I had time to really test it. Having paid just over sixty pounds it seemed a really good deal for a daily wearable go to watch. Well packaged, seems well made, nice heavy weight and I had the tools to remove a few links which was simple. I love the glass back and when I first started using it there was a loss of about 14 secs a day, however some research revealed that they often improve with a few months of regular use and sure enough its now down to about 4 secs a day over a two week period, so less than a minute every fortnight which for me is fine and might even improve with time. If you truly want impeccable time then go for Quartz and don’t complain. All my other watches are Quartz so I fancied a proper mechanical watch and the idea of not changing batteries every few years was appealing. Its been used daily and over this time has worn well with just tiny scratches to the strap and the Glass Face has stood up fine as well being pretty much unmarked. The strap is comfortable, safety clasp fits well and tight, its a nice size and I like the sweep second hand. All the logo and writing is perfect and its luminous enough for my needs at night, even the second hand has a luminous dot. Easy to reset the time and the date etc. I don’t use it under water at all so cant comment on that side of it. At this price point its just perfect without having to worry about wearing it every day and saves my other watches from getting a bashing. Buy one and you wont be disappointed.
This is a great watch at a very low price ,accurate to 3 to 5 seconds a day slow .None of my other automatics can better this .The bezel is unidirectional and can be a bit stiff to turn . My compliment on the smooth transaction on returning a faulty watch and delivering the replacement
At 5 .30 Pm Sunday ,their are so many feedbacks on this watch I could not say more .if you like it you won’t better Amazon offer in this instance .
A.H.S LANE .
Very nice watch that keeps good time for an automatic. Looks very much like a famous luxery brand but thats not a bad thing, this isn’t a replica of that watch but rather a homage to it. Case is staneless steel and is well finished with no flaws I have been able to find and the face is a nice deep black. There are however 3 flaws to this watch.
1) The bezel is really hard to grip and turn due to its Omega inspired design and the bezel seems to fit very tightly to the case making turning it a real pain.
2) The lume, like most Invictas is terrible. The hands glow well enough and so does the bezel pearl but the hour markers fade very fast and cannot really be seen at night. The lume also does not hold a charge, if Seiko lume is a 10 then this would be a 2 maybe 3.
3) The strap is not great, not the worse I have seen but really not great. Feels a little cheap, my opinion of course but Invicta could really have done a better job with the strap. But put on a NATO and it really changes the feel of the watch and NATO’s are really cheap and you could have a different looking watch every day.
Apart from those flaws the watch for the price is a very good buy, its unobtrusive, looks more expensive than it really is and looks well dressed down or with a suit. The movement is reliable, I haven’t tested it for accuracy but it seems to keep good time and is out about 10 seconds a day, which for a watch at this price point isn’t bad at all. For those brave enough you could adjust the movement yourself to bring that down or get a watch maker to do it for you but to be honest for everyday wear it is fine as far as accuracy goes.
All in all a nice watch made by a much maligned watch maker and a nice change from their usual over the top designs. It comes in a nice box, the standard yellow Invicta one and is nicely presented. I have had this model for a few weeks and so far so good. For the money you really cant go wrong.
Slightly smaller than I anticipated. Smart appearance .Lighter than Seiko probably because the wristband is of a fairly light construction. Winder screws down like an Omega seamaster. Japanese automatic movement which seems to keep good time. Overall exceptional quality for the price. I would recommend
I wanted a replacement for my old quartz Pulsar watch. I wanted an automatic, mechanical movement divers watch. My initial impression is that this is a lovely presented watch. Really high quality finish – much better than the price tag implies. The bezel is painted, rather than embossed, so that will probably wear in time. I’ll probably update this review once I have had a chance to test the reliability, but overall, this is looking like very good value for what you pay.
OK, just over week in. It loses roughly 7 – 10 seconds time for each 24 hours of use. This is not as accurate as a quartz watch, but that is the nature of all mechanical watches. Still, that’s 99.9919% accurate. Most watch forums tell me that you should run it for a month to make sure it ‘runs in’, so I’m hoping that it might improve. Will keep you posted.
Just under a month in, and I’ve worn it every day at home and at work. The movement seems to be settling in. It loses between 5 and 7 seconds a day depending upon whether I am working out or not. I’ve not needed to rewind the watch by hand, so the automatic winding mechanism is working great. I’ve taken the kids swimming 3 times, which involves a lot of diving in and tough activity. The case is 100% watertight, with no sign of any fogging. I’ve knocked it against a few solid objects, but there are no scratches so far. Will keep you updated on any developments.
3 months use. Now it’s run in, I took it into a jeweller to have it regulated (5). It now gains between 0.5 and 1 second a day. If I leave it lying on its side over night, it corrects itself. The hacking movement is outstanding, and as I see more watches, I realise that you are looking at 200+ for comparable specification and performance. There is enough power reserve that I can run another watch for a day, and pick this one back up and its still running. Upgraded to 5 stars.
I bought this watch for 62, which seemed a fair price for what seems to be a watch of the same quality as a Seiko 5, which can be found at similar prices. The glass is mineral glass and so is liable to scratching but, when new, seems perfectly fine. The cyclops lens provides reasonable magnification of the date. The bezel markers are very precisely painted and look good but the bezel itself is almost prohibitively difficult to turn and I can’t imagine anyone would be able to with wet fingers. I’m not a fan of the Invicta second hand counter-weight but all the hands and luminous markers are accurately positioned. The crown is of the screw-down variety and feels good to use and provides for quite close adjustments, although there is some wobble apparent when you take fingers off the crown. The exhibition glass back seems to be standard nowadays and this shows a movement with a nicely decorated rotor in yellow. The rotor seems to be allowed a greater rotational freedom than you’d see on an ETA or Selita movement. The links may be hollow – I don’t know, but the bracelet feels very light. The watch case is the best thing about it – it is impressively well made with a well cut ‘INVICTA’ marking on the opposite side to the crown and the design incorporates precisely separated sections of brushed and mirrored steel which looks very good.
I’ve just received this item and I am so impressed! It was extremely well packaged and the box it comes in (though bright yellow) is good quality and made of leatherette giving it a very classy feel. I bought this as an 18th present for my boyfriend and I think he will absolutely love it. It’s quite a heavy watch which I think in this case is a good thing and the colour on the face is a beautiful, intense blue (the picture really doesn’t do it justice). The transparent back is a nice touch so you can see the clockwork and I’m surprised at its overall likeliness to a Rolex (something my boyfriend would long for so I think he’ll love this watch). The metal strap has a brushed matte look, very classy.
I am so impressed with this, especially considering the price and if you are looking for a good quality, affordable, stylish watch I would definitely go with Invicta.
Quality so far. I’ve had this watch for a month now. To be honest it was the 70+ percent reduction that prompted me to buy it. I have an Omega Seamaster, left to me by my father, but despite spending a fortune on getting it overhauled it keeps lousy time and goes when it pleases. So far this watch keeps perfect time, looks good (although I’m not into bling). The quality of the build in my view couldn’t be achieved for the money I paid. Struggled for a while with setting the date but got there in the end. Better instructions from Invicta would be good.
I’ve ordered another Invicta on the basis of my experience so far. That and because it’s advertised at a 1000 off the 93 asking price on Amazon. Cant remember the model. These huge discounts do worry me somewhat. Are they a scam? Anyone looked into this? Will review this new model when it comes.
I wanted to buy a watch for my Nephew’s 21st birthday.
My brief was to get a really good looking watch that had the qualities of an expensive watch but would be a watch he would wear everyday and not be too frighted about either damaging or loosing.
This Invicata ticked all the boxes.
It has the good looks of a Rolex which let’s face it a heck of a lot of watches aspire to.
The black goes with everything.
It looks good.
It is a Man’s watch really heavy and thick but it looks really good.
This is awatch that will be noticed yet is really functional.
It is water proof.
I know that my nephew likes to swim and this is the watch for him.
I got an automatic because this is the favoured watch if you dive or go in water quite a lot.
If it were a battery whilst you can easily reoplace the batteries it is the seals that you need to watch out for.
If the seals fail then the watch is ruined.
A nice touch with this watch is the rear where there is a glass back that allows you to see the movement action.
A convesation piece if you like.
I already have an Invicta Watch and am pleased with it BUT this one does look better.
It is a decent price for a really good looking watch.
You do need to get a couple of links taken out of the strap unless you are a big body builder.
A decent local jeweler will do this for you for around a fiver.
Believe me it is worth getting a jeweler to do this for you because they know what they are doing and a fiver for a good fit and a good job is worth it.
The jeweler that did mine gave me bags of advice like don’t adjust the connecting part that folds to the max because this puts a lot of strain on the bracelet- better to take another link out. etc.
Sound advice.
With a bit of care it will run and run and if the worst does come to the worst its reasonable price means it will not be the absolutely disastrous loss that you would get with a Rolex.
Post Script.
My nephew was pleased with the watch.
The watch arrived on time and very well packaged, for the price it is well built and solid, the movement is a bonus as it is 24 not 21 jewels and has not lost a second over 24hrs (timed with iphone stopwatch) , if you want a divers watch that looks (lets face it) a bit like a high end rolex then this is close and better than buying a fake from some dodgy site, I am very happy with this watch got it on deal for 62.00 and may buy another design if the price is right.
This watch was a Father’s Day present from my 2 sons so haven’t had it long. However ,out of the box I was glad to note that the watch was really eye catching and the quality excellent. I had the watch strap sized by a jeweller who commented about the quality and weight. Setting the date and time was easy with stepped indicators on the screw down winder.
It is early days but I am absolutely delighted with this watch. I will post an update at a future time when it has been worn a while. AAAAA+++++ vendor with quick delivery would use again, no question.
If you are researching automatic watches in this price range you will no doubt have an Invicta Pro Diver on your shortlist. If not, then you should consider it.
My parcel arrived in good order within 24 hrs on express delivery. Inside a cardboard liner was an impressive if bright, yellow invicta trademark box in leatherette. The watch was well protected in a clear bag and secured in foam. A Yellow pastic price tag showed an alleged RRP of 395 US Dollars. Unusually the strap was protected by very tough shrink wrap which took some time to remove…but meant the watch was very well protected…a very good sign. It was also set to the correct time and day and must have been given a wind which was very good. Fit & finish is flawless…I have checked it thoroughly with a magnifying glass. The cyclops magnifier and date readout are perfectly aligned, as are all the face markings. The sweep hand even has a little set of invicta wings on the short end which is a nice touch. A nice glass back shows the movement. The gold plating on the bracelet and bezel is excellent quality deep and lustrous…the blue finish is bright and lovely to look at. The gold plating on the front of the strap links does not extend to their backs, but the inside of the strap is not visible anyway when worn. The colour combination certainly has visual impact..I wanted a watch that stood out from my otherwise understated collection…and this sure does..I love it.
I was suprised that the watch was not larger. The case is around 38mm in diameter. I still had to get 3 links removed by a local jeweler, but there is about 1.5cms of adjustment on the clasp that you could do yourself with a pin and a bit of patience. It actually looks perfectly proportioned now on my weedy wrist..but I reckon those with a larger wrist might want to look at the Grand Diver model. Invicta have a good website which is worth checking, as they have a series of templates for various sized cases which you can print out and cut out to see how it would look on your wrist.
I was torn between the Invicta and an Orient Mako but it really came down to price. The Orients have great reviews but less of them. Invictas have loads of reviews so the odd bad one did not worry me…fortunately, as I am very pleased with my purchase. I was never going to spend out on a Rolex. This does not pretend to pass itself off as one since it carries the Invicta name prominently and proudly on the face, in large engraved font on the side of the case, on the clasp and on the inside of the strap links. For less than 70 I think it offers very good value as it looks like it should cost ten times that price, even on close inspection. I realy don’t know how Invicta can produce such a product for so little money, unless every other manufacturer has actually been taking the mickey for years.
Only had it for three days, and it has gained just over 40 seconds which seems about right. My other automatic watch ran fast initially when new then settled into losing between 3 and 10 seconds per day. This watch has an NH35A SII movement which is a newish 24 Jewel mechanism, manufactured by Seiko in Japan, wheras most of the info I found on this model indicated it would have a Japanese Citizen built 21 Jewel Miyota movement. I am not sure if this is a better movement than expected, but it is a “hacking” movement which means that if you pull the crown out to set the time, the second sweep hand is held locked until you push it back in…this helps you to set the time accurately by a time signal. The crown also screws down tigtly to maintain the claimed 200m water resistant integrity, which I am sure it could as the build quality seems so good. I will update this review later with observations on its accuracy etc, but if it stays accurate I will definately be looking at other styles in the Invicta range.
UPDATE: Had the watch for a while now and I cannot stress how pleased I am with it. It has settled to within a range of losing 10-12 seconds a week which I think is remarkable. It will keep going for well over a day and a half off of my wrist, and I have adopted the “Tic-tac” shake of the wrist every now and then to ensure the auto mechanism keeps the watch wound. Whatever you might think of the Invicta brand, this particular model is tough little watch and is a superb product for the money.
For a diver’s watch with claimed 200m water resistance, with mechanical, automatic movement, you’re unlikely to get better value than from the Invicta Pro-Diver range, considering they use the proven Seiko NH35A movement. Ironically, the Seiko 200m diver’s watch using the these movements cost over double the price. That said, the quality of their bracelet is a lot better (slightly thicker).
The Invicta wings insignia on the dial, is a joke to anyone after the quality of engineering associated with top-of-the range, marque, Swiss watches. It looks like plastic, painted gold!
It’s advertised as a mans watch, whereas ‘unisex’ would be a fairer description these days. It’s slightly smaller than a ‘Submariner’ and a lot smaller than a gents ‘Seamaster’.
The date change takes over an hour to complete (again, not what you’d expect on a quality watch).
The movement being the NH35-A, as used by Seiko, is a lot better than cheap, Asian, automatic movements, often used elsewhere. So far, mine has maintained an accuracy of 30 seconds over 10 days; it gained 20 seconds over 7 days and then settled down, to gain a further 20 seconds by the end of the month. For a fairly cheap automatic, that’s highly impressive and vastly superior to what you’d get from cheap, Chinese, self-winding movements; accurate only to only about 90 seconds a day.
The luminous paint works brilliantly (better than what you might expect at this price).
It is claimed water resistant to 200m; a Seiko automatic at this price would not be guaranteed water resistant beyond 50m.
We now come to the crystal (claimed to be scratch-resistant Sapphire). Again, far batter than what you’d expect for 67 and the cyclops-window, date magnifier does a splendid job.
Update – 29th December, 2014
I’ve had the watch nearly a year now and so far, it hasn’t deteriorated the way I expected. The glass still looks good as new and the casing shows only minor marks. There I’m sorry to say, the good news ends. The incredible accuracy I enjoyed during the first few weeks is now a distant memory. It looses 20-30 seconds a day. In fairness this is still a lot better than what you can expect from a cheap, Asian movement as fitted to most ‘fakes’. Another thing that bothers me is that the description on Amazon, has changed. Mine was advertised last year as possessing a sapphire crystal. This has now been changed to mineral glass. Which of the two is correct bearing in mind that mine is the same model? Seems bit dodgy to me!
Update- 19th January, 2015
Used a special tool, purchased on eBay for less than a fiver, to remove the back and adjust the movement (a very easy task). Several attempts have now restored the accuracy to between 5-10 seconds a day, which I think is very impressive for the price. If you decide to adjust it yourself, however, do be careful to stop the flywheel by pulling the hands adjuster, and take great care not to touch the flywheel or hairspring. If you magnetise the flywheel or damage the hairspring, you’ll need a new movement. A plastic toothpick is a good tool for moving the timing adjuster tab. Before doing this, however, I’d recommend detaching the strap to improve your line of sight. A magnifying glass (any convex lens will do!) also helps.

It’s still accurate to 10 seconds a day and both casing and bracelet have worn very well. Overall, I’m very satisfied. This may not be in the same league as Omega, Rolex etc but represents excellent value-for-money to anyone wanting a solidly built, gents automatic. With its screw-down crown, it certainly looks the part though whether it really is 200m water resistant, most of us will never know!
Overall, this is a good mechanical, automatic watch for the money, but slightly lacking in quality in terms of the weigh and solidity associated with the expensive brands most of us are familiar with. Those with big wrists would be much better off with the Grand Diver range of Invicta watches, as these not only posses these qualities, but are also guaranteed water resistant to 300m. Often, there’s not much difference in price, so it really is a no brainer unless you have small wrists. If you do, forget it; you may get one to fit but would look daft wearing it!
Finally, the only thing I dislike is the word invicta etched on the left side of the casing, in capitals. It seems grossly uneccessary detracts from the appearance. Why did they do it?
keeps good time with a lot of reserve, great finish and arrived on time. puts watches ten times its price to shame says on description
21 jewels but in fact its 24 jewels even better quality.the strap closes with a secure click no chance of it falling off. watch is solid and quite heavy giving that quality feeling, keeps very good time. I have checked the figures on the watch face though my magnifier and they are crisp and precise . i am so pleased I am purchasing another one .
This watch looks similar to a well known make costing considerably more. The watch appears well made and has both a screw down crown and back.( Note the quartz version does not have a screw down crown) I feel a little uneasy about the waterproof claims as I know that similar Asian watches are definitely not waterproof. However Invicta stand by their claims.
Only long-term evaluation will tell whether this watch is durable. The bracelet link are of a push fit and not screw as found in other similar watches.
I bought this watch based upon the look of it alone. The reviews I had read were pretty good, but at the 70 asking price I couldn’t see how you could go wrong. I have’nt had it long enough to comment on its accuracy yet. But I see no reason to suspect it should not be as accurate as any other clockwork mechanical watch. It was interesting was that the description was wrong in so far as it stated it was a 21 jewelled movement. The watch I recieved is a 23 jewelled movement with a second hand stop feature so that you can set it exactly! Amazing at this price. I’ve swam with the watch on and showered, but as yet have not scuba dived with it. No water has gotten in with swimming and showering. A terrific buy at twice the price. Get one!
I bought this watch as a present for my partners birthday he had previously had an omega and was used to a big watch so having read some older reviews i went ahead and ordered he has quite a thick wrist and was a bit concerned that the watch wouldnt fit as i have bought ordinary straps that havnt anyway first impression was the speed of delivery next day first thing then the gorgeous box it comes in it relly does look the business so far so good then i looked at his face and could see he was stunned by its good looks for such a small price the omega cost 600pounds at least 15years ago but the best bit was when he put it on it fit like a glove and looked great like a very expensive watch but not trying to be a copy of another brand i would say that if you bought this watch and you have slim wrists you are going to have to adjust it but not in my case.happy days well worth the money for a fab looking watch.
I saw this when checking out watches. I have an Omega seamaster and I thought I would get a watch to wear on those occasions when I fancied a change . This watch is very well made for the price and it keeps accurate time . I give the winder a few turns before putting it on and it seems to have a long spring reserve. My Omega cost thousands of pounds more than this but you would never know it . In any case every person I have met always says the Omega is a fake ( it is not). And the Invicta is obviously not a Rolex or any other copy so it is what it is and whilst I do not like flashy watches, this is excellent and I have another hundred or so watches in my collection and this is a worthy addition.
After my 10 yr old Seiko 5 started playing up, I decided to look for another every day automatic watch. The Seiko 5 range was looking a bit dated in my opinion, so I began looking at other sub100 automatic watches and found there weren’t that many. I liked the look of the Invicta pro-diver watches and plumped for the 9094 as I fancied something a bit different with the blue dial and bezel. I ordered mine from Watch Kingdom fulfilled by Amazon, this saved on the delivery charge and the watch was delivered within 3 days. My watch has the Seiko NH25A movement and a screw in crown, so far it has gained a minute in 7 days which is very good for a budget automatic watch. In terms of looks, I really like the chunky bracelet with the polished centre links and brushed outer links with polished edges. I would suggest buying a cheap link removing tool as it is very easy to scratch the polished edges if removing the pins with a dolly hammer. As others have commented the dial and bezel are a much brighter blue than the Amazon picture, the customer pictures are more realistic. The bezel has a high sheen and glints in the light as do the hour markers which are flourescent overlaid on chrome. The dial is particularly attractive as it seems to shimmer as it reflects light at different angles. I was concerned that the watch would be too big as it is considerably more chunky than my old Seiko 5, but in reality the Invicta sits nicely on the wrist (I don’t have very large wrists) and doesn’t snag on shirt cuffs or trouser pockets etc. Overall I am extremely happy with my purchase.
