Easy understand how to use, all written in manual. No problems.
Male. I put 4 for comfort because in certain places on the higher settings, it feels like Thor’s hammer has electrocuted you (slight exaggeration). It’s completely manageable though.
Using once a week I didn’t notice any difference until week 3. Usually the hair grows back fast, a day later. Some has grown back but nowhere near what it was. It’s been a week since the last blast which so clearly better then 1 day. Im guessing continued use will zap the rest. I couldn’t say if it will be permanent but as shaving and waxing still only lasted a day or 2, this is ideal for not continuously having to do it. It will make holidays, summer, swimming so much easier. I really didn’t expect it to do much so was dubious about paying the price, even on the offer but I’m glad I did. You might need help to reach your back but most people should be able to reach the top of your back/trap area. Useful for those that might just need to stop the hair poking out the top of a T-shirt. Other areas should be manageable. You will need a bit of patience for it to work but it’s worth it. It does have a countdown to the number of blasts you can do over its lifetime but using once a week, if that for larger areas, it will still last a very long time. Don’t let that put you off. Whether you don’t like hair or are self conscious, you should be able to relax at least for a while knowing that it hasn’t grown back within 5 minutes

This is a great little machine that’s a really good price. I was worried at first that it wouldn’t be as effective as the more expensive models. However, I’ve been using for 6 weeks and there’s a huge difference. I have very dark hair that grows within a couple of hours of shaving. Now I am only shaving once a week and growth is marginal. I use it on full strength but reduce on more sensitive areas. My only gripe is it’s quite time consuming but it’s well worth it to see the end results. Would definitely recommend!
This is a very convenient home hair removal kit, that suits a range of different hair/skin types. It works on most parts of the body, even the more sensitive ones such as the under arms. Though it’s probably not to be recommended for very fair complexions, for most users it will show a significant improvement. Usage is comfortable, thought your first few goes might feel a bit of a prickly tingle until you get acclimatised to it. Getting it flush against the face can also be a little tricky, but it won’t activate unless it is held against the skin at the right tangle. Very good results for a home device and much easier than getting out when most places are closed at the moment.
The lead is not bat long so tricky to get in some places without a extension lead. Been using it about 3 weeks and seen a little difference with the growth , hopefully it will get better the more time s I use it.
I have been using this for about two months. I had 4 treatments every two weeks. I have dark hair and brown skin -a good combo. You can’t use the product if you have grey hair, red hair or white blonde hair and if your skin tone is very dark. The light setting can be adjusted based on your skin/hair. You can use the device corded or cordless but the battery is not very long – lasting. It is a little bit painful but the difference is huge. I only used the epilator before but my hair was thick and stubborn. During these last 2 weeks, I found around 10 hairs on a leg which is amazing, considering the hair intensity I used to be. On armpits I cannot really see what I am doing so it is one area hairy, one not, I got holes at the moment. Definitely worth it. I absolutely love it.

We’ve only used this for about a month now, but it does seem to help. It takes some patience and time, but the reduction in hair is worth it.
It comes with a shaver (to be used about 24 hours before use of the device) and dark glasses to reduce the eye irritation form the flashing lights. This is a nice touch

Skin test is recommended before first use but if no skin reaction after some time then should be easy to take it for a full spin. I am still using it on the lowest level and after 3-4 weeks I have noticed that I have got much more hair growing. 1 treatment needed per week only, good coverage area too (not to small window as with my previous one).

This hair removal device comes with clear instructions for the prep, method and duration. I followed the instruction, put on the provided sunglasses and tried it out on a small non-sensitive area first with two medium level flashes, there is some burning smell after so it must be working. There was no pain so it was all set. I then went for the armpit areas, and now it has been two weeks no signs of any hair growing yet.
This device, as per instructions, are only designed for certain non-sensitive areas, not for tender areas. Great for legs and armpit thou.

My advice is to start from low level and gradually increase as it could be sensitive to some skin types. There will be red skin and a little pain here and there which is okay to be seen. Apply skin cream to soothe the skin after usage.
Make sure that the lamp lands on the skin at 90 degrees for best results and to avoid skin damage.
The whole process will take time for more than 6-8 weeks for complete smooth skin in stages. The results are fine till now and it’s working. Long term effects are potentially positive.

As it works on cable it becomes hard to use it smoothly and effectively on all the body area. The price is a bit high which can be competitive.
I’ve never actually had any type of laser done in my life but since using this I’m sort of getting addicted and I’m not sure is that’s a good sign. I’ve been following the instructions on how and how often to carry out sessions. My first session took forever as I hadn’t actually ever tried anything like this but I had to shave the area I wanted to zap before I could so I did that and then I used the machine. I decided to do my underarm area as I didn’t want to test on a large area just incase I had a reaction or something so I went with a light option with a and all area. Loving it so far but I have only given 4 stars as I will need to use this a few times on the same area to get an absolute accurate result. Maybe I’ll update when I’ve done a few sessions to suggest if it’s still going strong for me or if it’s not the same as getting a salon treatment. Overall the product is great the quality is excellent and to be honest I’ve seen some that are like 300 and for this value your sort of getting the same product as this one for under 150. Have so far used once a week for the last 2 weeks and am already seeing much more results than I anticipated. You start with a clean shave (and normally my hair grows back so quickly I can’t even wear a skirt a couple of days after shaving) but this has already massively reduced the amount of hair growing back, and what is there feels much thinner so have so much confidence that after continual use will go completely. This is not a quick fix but a (hopefully) long term solution.
My biggest worry with a device like this would be that it’s too complicated (Its not, the instructions are really clear but do give them a careful read) or that it would be too painful (it’s really not!). I have a very low pain threshold and even I can’t feel it other than a slight warm sensation. To be fair though, I have kept it on 1 (the lowest setting) and have only used on my legs so far as didn’t want to start with a sensitive area – might be brave enough for that soon though. For reference I have light brown hair, fair skin and normally course dark leg hairs – this is not suitable with all hair/ skin types so make sure it works with your own type first.
Love the rose gold design, (very similar to the Lumea) looks great but more importantly it’s actually working. Wish I’d invested years ago I’d have saved so much on waxing. Can’t recommend enough, makes me look forward to my holiday even more now that I might not even have to pack my razor!
This Imene IPL is similar in appearance to the Phillips Lumea – with the main difference being the price. It has a comfortable grip, it’s not too heavy and is easy to hold and reach the ‘shooting button’. It’s mostly painless to use (depending on the part of the body that hair is being removed) at most you feel a slight tingle, there’s an inbuilt cooling feature and LED screen for you to monitor the settings. A sensitivity test is advised before first use.
This IPL arrives in a well presented box containing the IPL device, power lead, user manual, protection glasses, cotton buds for cleaning the device and a disposable razor. As with all IPL’s hair needs to be shaved first to prevent burning.
So far I’ve only tried this on my legs. Results so far: there was a noticeable difference after my second use, hair that’s grown back feels a lot smoother and seems finer so my legs look better even though they’re not completely hairless – yet! There’s no regrowth that feels spiky and itchy which is a massive bonus! I’m going to carry on using once a week and hope for total ‘hairlessness’ in around 8-9 weeks! By next summer I’ll be able to get my legs out in the sun!! Yayy!!

*Update* I’ve recently been diagnosed with high blood pressure and have had to stop using this IPL as it’s not recommended for use if you have high blood pressure! Based on the 6 weeks I did get to use this IPL – it’s easy to use and it works! If you have a medical condition, I’d recommend checking if it’s safe to use an IPL.
This is an awesome product just like it states on the packaging fast & effective. it is still early days, and I was a bit worried it would hurt but it just gives you a slight warm feeling on the area you want to treat. It’s compact and easy to hold. You get a pair of goggle type glasses, a razor and of course a charger. The instruction manual is very clear and goes through how to operate.
Very easy to operate by pressing the power button for a few seconds to turn on and then a short press to choose the power levels. The status indicator flashes when it is ready to use. You simply touch the skin with the device and when it turns green it means it is emitting the lights.
It comes in a sealed box with everything in padding inside. Looks professional and would make a nice gift.
It’s quite expensive, but probably reasonable for home use as can save you money over time. It seems well made and the instructions are good. All packs nicely in the box. Make sure you do a test on your skin first. Easy to set up and use. Follow the instructions for correct treatment times. Results do vary from person to person with these hair removal devices and you need to give it time.
I would definitely recommend having a look through the instructions before using as if not used correctly can cause burns etc.
The device itself look’s really nice with the rose gold effect, it has a screen on the top which tells you all the information you need including how many flashes it has left. This does feel really well made and has quite a heavy feel to it.
I am happy with this product so far it seems to be working well, but the process can take a while before noticing a considerable change, if my opinion changes I will update my review.
This is my first time ever trying laser hair removal let alone a home DIY kit, and so I was initially a little worried that it could easily go wrong – burns etc – as I have no experience. With that being said, I read the instructions thoroughly prior to use which I would definitely recommend doing, it advises on settings for your skin tone & contains all the health & safety measures to take.
You do have to shave prior to a session but having used this a few times now, I have found that the hair is slower to grow back than before and doesn’t feel as coarse when it does.
The overall feel to the device is excellent, it’s light enough to use single handed but feels strong & durable. It comes with everything you need in the box including eye protecting goggles which is great for the money. In comparison, it looks very similar to the much more expensive Lumia device which sits at 5x the price! So its definitely value for money.
My only ‘issue’ is that it can’t be used over tattoos – not something I thought about until I actually had the unit in hand and although this won’t be a problem for most, it does mean I can’t use this machine on some areas I’d like. This would be the case with all laser removals though so isn’t unique to this brand.
At this price, you won’t be disappointed. It looks and feels, and performs like a much, much more expensive device & so far results are very promising. Big thumbs up!

It is well designed, with white and rose gold colours, which look very stylish. It has a comfortable grip, but it is quite heavy. There is a power button and a good sized LCD display screen, which displays temperature, pulses remaining, power level and fan status.. The pulse button is on the handle. The cable is a reasonable length of around 1.5m.
It is important to read the instructions thoroughly before use, as there are restrictions about skin types it can be used on, but also guides you in the proper care and use of the device. Once you have read through everything and are sure it is safe for use on your skin, it is fairly simple to use and relatively painless, apart from maybe the odd stinging sensation.
It is quite expensive, but should last a long time and saves money in the long term.
I got the imene IPL hair removal device to deal with the hair on my legs and underarms. It is a fantastic IPL device at a fraction of the price of the brand leader and looks similar with a similar specification. Currently its only about 80 (with a 50 voucher) and would make an ideal Christmas gift.
Before you start using the device then you need to read the instructions and follow what they advise as you need to use the power mode that’s suitable for your hair/skin colour. Don’t try and speed up the process by using too high a setting. The device works well and is painless, although you do feel a gentle heat on the skin. You need to invest in the process as it can take 9 weeks or more for complete hair removal and even then you need to maintain by using the device every 2-3 months. The manufacturer claim the device will work for about 500,000 flashes which should last, according to them, 25 years for four people.
The device is working well so far, but it is early days. I will update this review if the long term results are not satisfactory. At this stage, I am happy to recommend and am looking forward to no more trips to the beautician for waxing treatments. This will pay for itself very quickly!

This Kit is heavy, and needs mains powered when in use via the included adaptor, 36w (12v 3A).
Also included is a set of goggles, 8 small cotton buds, and a disposable razor.
The unit should be taken with extra precautions, and care not to be used with, or by, under 18s.
The unit is well produced, robust and has good build quality, minus a few spelling errors on the packaging and user manual however, it is well manufactured piece of kit.
The actual using of the kit will take place over many months before any good results will show, so don’t expect instant results, however after using for a while you will notice the look and feel of the skin.
It is currently being used once per week, and hopefully in a few months no shaving is required, except a small top up every few months.
Don’t be put off with the 500000 flash count, as you will be using this for years and still not go near that mark , unless you are bulk using this on many people doing many many treatments.
Packaged well. Arrived in a nice white cardboard box. The box had a slight bit of water damage but this did not effect the contents.
This is a beautifully designed device. All white and rose gold. It does have a little bit of weight to it and it is a decent size. The cable length is around 1.5m, which is a good length and useful, as it needs to be connected to use the device. There is a power button on the top and an LCD display screen. The shooting button is on the front of the handle, making it easy to press whilst holding the device.
The device stands at roughly 18.5cm tall. The shooting area is around 3cm x 4.5cm. The LCD display screen is around 2cm x 3.5cm.

This is quite easy to use. You need to fully have a clean shave, there is a shaver supplied if you don’t have one. Clean the front of the shooting area with one of the buds supplied and put on the goggles provided too.
Plug in the device, hold the power button to turn it on, choose your level via clicking the power button. The fan will start and green lights will show.
Press the device against the skin, hold it as straight as you can and wait for the solid green light, then press the shooting button. Repeat 2-3 times on the same area.
This wasn’t too bad to do. There is a slight sting in some places, other places you can barely feel it. The fan does help though, I quite like this feature, it alleviates the sting a little. It was easy to use, it is my first time, so I am yet to see results. I am quite excited, I did my legs, armpits and bikini area, I will update after I’ve done several.
I would recommend this. It is a little expensive but I think in the long run, it is (hopefully) cost saving. The fan is a good addition compared to others that doesn’t have them. It is well made and looks lovely too. 4 star until I’ve seen the results.
This is fantastic comes in a very professional box, instructions glasses for the eyes when useing the device, plug. Everything to be expected.
Device works perfectly, no pain no fuss removed the hair that you don’t want, and dose a rather good job at doing it.
Obviously with the way the world is at the moment getting to a salon to get waxed or have any beauty treatments is next to none.
So the next best option is doing it solo from home & this device doesn’t disappoint, always a worry there will be some kind of pain useing such a device, but as stated there is no pain what so ever, just hassle free easy hair removal dose exactly as promised.
Although quite exspensave I would say it’s a Bargen, no wax pots no razors ect, we all know they cost a small fortune. So in my opinion the price is validated.

I got this IPL for my daughter , I’d love to use one but I have greying fair hair so it wouldn’t work for me , but my daughter is quite dark with olive coloured skin .
Inside the box you get the IPL gun an adaptor , a pair of goggles and a razor , along with the instruction manual .
It’s a good idea to read the manual before using as these laser hair removal systems can only be used on certain hair colourings and skin types .
The gun has an easy to read LCD screen on the top of it which shows you the energy level you are using , again read the manual ! because there are 5 levels each specific to skin and hair colouring .
When you’ve found your starting level , place the goggles on direct the gun to within 15cms of the area you want to start removing hair from at a 90 angle and press the trigger .The lights flash and the hair removal process is started . Use a good quality Moisturiser after finishing so that your skin doesn’t dry out .
This is ergonomic to hold and daughter days doesn’t make her wrist ache .
One thing to note is that when you use IPL technology , it’s a process you won’t see immediate effects , these become apparent over a period of continued use .
Considering the cost of other Branded IPL machines this one more than competes in the market and is a good price in fact it’s less than a third of the price of the leading brands price .
Because this will last my daughter for years I’m recommending .

The Laser removal process for me was very interesting and exciting. it was also very painless. perfect for a pamper night during lockdown. the thing I was most scared of was if there was pain during removal however the experience has been great so far I’ve only used it twice and I’m really impressed with the results. there is different setting and voltz I personally prefer the lower laser setting as I feel like this way it isn’t to harsh on the skin. The results are great especially the ones I’ve seen so far especially on my legs! Also really like the razor the grip on it is great! The small lazer screan also helps focus on smaller areas of area such as upper lip hair and under arms! Overall I’m very happy with the product and would definitely recommend.
