Nothing not to like about this product. My husband is not tech friendly at all but her gets on well with this and a great keyboard protector included!
I bought this for my mother she’s not the best with technology but she finds this laptop easy to use and it has a long lasting battery would recommend for everyday activities.
I bought this laptop for my new job, I kept worrying about spending mass amounts of money on a laptop when I didn’t have enough savings.
For my new job I really needed a laptop to be able to do my work. And luckily I came across this gem!
It was a decent price and had good reviews so I thought I should give it a go. It turned out to work perfectly for its price and has really been good for both work and entertainment purposes.
Honestly a really good laptop for a students and parents with children who don’t want to fork out too much money.
Couldn’t be more happier with this item and I cannot recommend it enough! Really has been amazing since I received it ;))
Perfect picture quality battery life brilliant and the screen is not too small either. Perfect laptop especially for the price.
I am very impressed with this laptop. The modern sleek steel display and speedy performance makes this laptop not only aesthetically pleasing but perfect for my uni work! Not only to mention the years free Microsoft 365 which is hassle free setting up! Can’t go wrong with this buy. Very impressed.
Does what it says on the tin and can use it for work in terms of emailing and cloud documents, exactly what I wanted
I bought this laptop in case my daughter had to homeschool and stream lessons. It does that job at a reasonable price.
Normally I don’t buy a product if I have never used the brand or know someone that has recommended it to me.
But I absolutely love this laptop. It was easy to set up, its fast and it does everything I need.
I would recommend.
I like the size of the laptop. Its quick to turn on. Battery life is great. Its perfect for my needs.
I bought this to specifically do my child’s homework on and it’s ace.
It may be in the cheaper range, but it’s fast and reliable and the screen picture quality is fantastic.
The only thing that I can be slightly negative about is the built-in camera.
Not the best quality, but that can be easily rectified by a usp camera instead plugged into it.
Links up so easily with my WiFi printer etc and this product is worth every penny in my view.
It was a Christmas present for my partner his first lap top and he loves it excellent sound quality and style and excellent picture when on Netflix or prime I recommend this laptop 5 sta
Good laptop in anyway.
Just battery life is not so good.
All the other things are really good.
Wanted a cheap and cheerful laptop to do zoom and teams conference meetings, emails and online learning. So far has been wonderful, fast start up, quick and easy to manoeuvre round. Good quality camera and clear picture. I don’t know much else about computers but it does what I need it to. Very happy with my purchase
I recommend to also upgrade Win10 home to premium. Good for private business especially if you need take laptop with you.
It was very easy to set up and load. Runs swiftly with no trouble at all. Love the sleek design and light to carry around.
This light weight portable laptop is efficient, fast and reliable for working from home.
Great additional for all the family use too, separate account to enable shared functionality.
I bought this lap top to complete online studies
Screen quality & colour is fab – great battery life – comes with everything I need to download, complete & upload all my course work
Delighted with this purchase
The laptop is easy to use. The battery lasts a long time. The screen is a good quality. Camera takes clear photos. Fast and reliable.
This is just what I needed. Nice and compact but not too small. Easy to use and it came with a years free Microsoft package what more could you ask for.
For the price point the spec for this laptop is unbeatable. Brilliant screen quality, easy set up process and all in such a light compact machine so perfect for the commute
Very sturdy feel to this excellent laptop. Excellent quality picture on streaming services. Good quality sound. Touchpad very sensitive. Quick to charge, and quite fast to start up from sleep. Ability to utilise a micro SD card to increase the memory is superb.
Can’t fault the product for the price, light, durable good battery. Does exactly what I need for work which was the reason I bought i
For the money, this is an excellent laptop that fits all of my basic requirements. The 4GB of RAM makes it capable of handling whatever task I throw at it, such as streaming content, multitasking, and unified communications. If you’re looking for a laptop for non-gaming activities, it’ll probably be a great fit for you, as it was for me.
On the whole, I’m impressed with this laptop and am glad I bought it.
Very good laptop. Have used 60 or more for customers liking for jobs and the office 364 free for a year is a real bonus. Clear screen. Lightweight. Good battery. Good laptop
Really easy to get going! Plugged in and ready to intact with Cortana, your personal assistant who gets you connected to internet etc which is very helpful! I am liking it so far, but haven’t checked camera yet, so I have put 3 stars for that, because I expect it to be good?!
Brilliant value for money. When starting up its a bit sketchy but aside from that really good
Ideal for a teenager.
Not used the camera, so can’t comment on that.
I have to say, I was dubious. For the price I paid, I did wonder what if anything was going to show up. I’m a teacher and need a laptop to use at home as well as having an emergency teaching aid just in case things go a bit lockdown. Yet, when the laptop arrived I was pleasantly surprised. Set up was relatively easy and it does come with one years worth of Office, which is worth 50 in itself. The screen is a decent size and is clear and cris, meaning streamed video looks pretty darn decent. The sound, however, is a bit on the tinny side. However if you’re looking for a laptop to just watch Netflix on and answer the occasional email it’s ideal. The keyboard is nice and responsive and does come with an overlay for UK keyboard, and I suggest you use it. It fits singly atop the keys and doesn’t really affect the keys themselves that much.
Overall, for the price it is great. If your after something that can handle gaming or anything complex, then I imagine it will struggle greatly but for a day to day laptop for browsing and light work, it’s ideal.
No issues with this laptop. Set up easily and is fine for my occasional use. I don’t use laptops every day and it tends to be just internet browsing and office.
I already have 2 small computers, 2 laptops and literally I bought another one!!
But why?
Well, I needed something to take with me when go out of the house because working from home sometimes for me it is not so productive so I go out to a coffee shop to work so I needed a small reliable, easy to carry around and honestly I didnt want to pay another Office licence so this laptop fits my needs.
What you get in the pack?
The laptop(obviously), charger and something that I see for the first time, on top there is a silicone soft keyboard cover and I think it is meant to be put on top to cover the keys, good addition though.
Fist impression when I saw it?
Was good, the design is clean, it is a slim laptop, business type.
One of the most important aspects for me is the keyboard because I use so many computers and I got used with for example the enter key to be long(like it is on this laptop), it is very convenient for me to know exactly where the keys are so I can type faster. Space grey color, looks professional!
Screen? 13.3 inch, the smallest I had so far since I am using computers but very convenient for my use because I write a lot and I dont actually need a big screen specially when it comes to a portable laptop. Cannot say too much about the colors because as I said, I use specifically for something(writing). All I can is that my eye are ok even after 10 h of writing which is a thing.
When I work in the sun I am still able to see whats on the screen so it is bright enough for that.
Performance? Satisfying for what I need it for. Booting time is relatively fast. I use on average 3-4 programs at the same time(one of them takes quite a lot of memory) and I didnt have any kind of issues like the laptop to freeze, restart or oveheat, from this point of view all good.
The 4 gb ram they cover all the work I have to do.
I dont turn it off!! Yes, I just put the screen down and thats it. When I open it the response time until the win gets loaded takes around 5 sec something like that. Now this depends also on the settings you make in the operation system.
Any struggles with Win 10 for the processor and ram?
As I said, for me this laptop is for writing this is why I didnt go in depth to test the performace using other programs besides Office.
How to activate the 1 year Office that comes with it?
Easy, once you open the pack you get clear instructions how to do it, took me 5 min total to set it up properly.
I consider having the Microsoft 365(I still call Office pack) is a really good addition to this laptop.
Battery?
I have tested it before starting to use this laptop when I go out to make sure it is going to last. Based on my experience it last for around 4-5h which is more than I can ask. This also depends on what you working on this device. So, yes, I dont take the charger with me which makes it more convenient!!!
Keyboard?
The keys are soft when you press them, they dont make too much sound and this is an important aspect for me because I type quite a lot. In terms of where the keys are located I can say they are in the right place compared to the most regular type of keyboard. For me this is perfect.
Ports?
2 ubs 3.0, 1 mini hdmi, headphones jack and tf card reader(you can upgrade the storage if you want to just by inserting a micro sd). Besides the jack port and the ubs I dont actually need anything else so I am totally fine with what it has.
Overall experience?
For what I use it for, does the job, easy to type, long lasting battery, convenient to carry it around.

The Jumper Laptop is essentially a cheap and cheerful laptop that has a semi-decent specification at an affordable price. The specification isn’t going to let you play the latest games or do anything graphic intensive, but it will provide a good basic computer suitable for internet browsing, word processing, streaming and other basic functionality and it’ll do so at a very fair and reasonable price.
The laptop has a 13.3″ full HD display, it’s running Windows 10 and has 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. Nothing mind blowing but enough to run administrative software, stream Amazon Video or Netflix and it even comes with a one year Microsoft 365 subscription giving you access to the full office software.
I think at the price point there is very little to complain about and overall it’s excellent value for money.

pluses……..small and compact.Good 1st time computer.Quick Downloads .
minuses………not as competent as dearer laptops though better than most. Cannot increase volume as it’s set on basic maximum. CORTANA helped set up but after that left message saying it doesn’t work in uk only usa. Didn’t want microsoft edge or mail or bing or word 365. Am fussy as like sites i’m used to and have passwords for so will try to delete later.Happy to just have 2nd laptop with only norton, chrome and spotify. Leave anything else to main laptop. IT’S LIKE A BIG MOBILE grea
Bought this just for basic operation. Love the easy voice tutorial to set up. Great quality for the price. You can pay hundreds of pounds more for other devices. This is does exactly what I need it do.
Easy to start up no problems so far if you are looking for a smaller laptop that does what you need this is very good would recommend.
So far so good. I needed a cheap laptop and this has done the job.
What I don’t like is the delete button next to the power button. The number of bloody times I’ve turned it off by mistake! I’m getting used to it now.
To extend battery life, you have to fiddle with the settings. At first I got 2 hours but I’ve doubled that now.
It’s not as fast as I expected for a new laptop, but I’m only using it for online research and writing
I needed a laptop for my daughter and thought this would be ideal as it is a good size screen but is light and not as bulky as lots of laptops I have seen.
The laptop has a fast processor which ensures that work can be completed easily and on time. Also the connection it gets wirelessly to the the internet is smooth so streaming has no interruptions.
The laptop comes with one year of Microsoft applications which is fantastic as it saves me having to pay 50 plus to buy it separately.
The laptop comes with a dust protector the keyboard which makes it feel very nice when either of us are typing. Set up is very easily and a lady’s voice guides you through the entire process.

Seems really nice speed but is only day 1
Perfect size for what I wanted and lightweight aswell
Graphics are really nice clear and sharp
If I could award 10 stars I would.! This is the best value I have ever had in a any device I’ve purchased in the last 20 years. An excellent little laptop does everything it says on the tin and more.
It’s small and light weight laptop, easily to bring with me in the bag.I love the keypads protect rubber sheet, which is really good quality and useful.Cover it on the keyboard,it just the right size, fits very well.No more tiny crumbs drop into the keyboard slot.
Screen’s resolution is excellent, over my expectation.
The battery last long time.I normally charged it until full, then use the power out.The sound is stereo quality.
The storage capacity only 64GBFor my reception is all right.Thinking about more documents need to be save.So I bought extra 256GB SD card to expand .
Overall it’s worth to have this tiny laptop.
Bought to replace a 2 year old HP laptop where the HDD had failed, I can only say, that up to now I’m thoroughly impressed by this little computer. It is fast, the screen is clear and it does all I bought it for. My only gripe is that it doesn’t like to boot up with a memory card in situ, but that’s a minor problem. Honestly, at the price, you really can’t go wrong.
Delivered on time
Product easy to set up
A bit slow compared to my previous one
But it’s early days, will see if there will be improvement in performance .
A nice looking machine that has the speed and functionality I wanted, from s lalptop
easy to set up excellent wi fi set up i bought this to replace my old laptop that cost over 800 AND WAS VERY SUPRISED THAT THIS FAR CHEAPER MODEL DID EVERY THING THAT MY OLD LAPTOP DID AND MORE
WOULD RECCOMEND TO ANYONE WANTING A GOOD VALUE CHEAP LAPTOP
Good laptop at decent price. Issues setting up free Microsoft Office. No instructions on how to do this led to confusion. Seller should include instructions for installation.
This was bought as a basic laptop for school-work use only. We needed something that could run Office 365 and handle video-calls. We won’t be downloading games or running any memory-busting apps. For solid basic use (word-processing, spreadsheet, presentations, Internet) this seems to fit the bill very nicely. We’re only a few weeks in, but it performs quickly, quietly, and is definitely better than the clunky old thing it replaced. [update: still going strong a few months in].
The screen is very nice (bright and clear); the trackpad and keyboard are responsive and it seems a pleasant bit of kit to use. It is an advantage that there are 2 USBs, and various other ports, as they all end up being used!
The casing doesn’t seem very robust and even bends when the screen is open and it is held by the corner in one hand, which is a bit alarming at first, but this seems to be the design (?) and hasn’t caused any problems yet. The obvious solution is to avoid carrying it around like that when it is open. We aren’t planning to use it out of the house, so there is no major worry about this.
Maybe I am decades out of touch, but it seems amazing that you can get a neat laptop with bundled software for this price. PS – I had trouble downloading the Office software and contacted amazon, who put me through to the sellers, who provided a prompt and helpful response within a couple of hours and this helped resolved the issue. That was great (and I have raised the rating from 4- to 5-stars as a result)
Lightweight easy to set up & use well worth the price
Good value neat laptop with some nice features – only issue was the Microsoft free years subscription – because it has a ‘family 30 day trial’ the ‘personal’ free 365 was over complicated or impossible to access.
I ended up logging in for the 30day trial and cancelling my ‘auto renewal’ so that I can take up the year’s subscription later (within 6 months) – spent hours online chat to Microsoft and we just went around in circles — much easier had a code been issue with the machine (not embedded in it).
good laptop just what i need for the work i am doing
Bought for my daughter due to the increase in online school work. Good enough laptop, videos on Disney+ etc play just fine and no problems doing the online school work. Comes with an overlay for the keyboard to convert from US to UK, to be honest you don’t really need it.
I am really happy with this purchase. It’s a perfect laptop, recommended by my friend who bought this brand about a year ago, for my children to do the online homework. Decent. Proper Screen Size.Battery Okay. And I love the silicon keyboard cover which is a smart design.
Have yet to complete set up, but looks OK for a 07 year old!
Decent quality for a budget laptop. You can tell its at the cheaper end of the scale but that’s exactly what I wanted. Works efficiently perfect for a cheap office laptop.
For under 300 this little laptop is fabulous!! I was on a budget looking for a an affordable windows laptop just to do everyday common computer tasks eg check emails surf the web. My apple pro stopped working and there was no
way i could afford another one at this moment in time, so i needed a laptop windows operating system, as some of the software i use as well are not apple compatible which can be annoying. I loved the fact that it comes with Microsoft 365 free for one year, as you usually have to buy this separately which can work out a little expensive, this was the main feature which prompted me to purchase this product.
I had been looking at a number of laptops to replace my old 2nd one and this stood out. It has 8gb RAM and 128GB eMMC with the possibility of upgrading to 1TB M.2 SSD, looking at this I believe it is the 2242 size SSD as the come in different dimensions. The set up was simple enough and it was up and running in no time at all. It found my wifi straight away and my bluetooth phone. The graphics are crisp and clear with a large enough screen, the first image shows the comparison to a 17″ laptop. This is a sleek and light laptop with a decent battery life, it is powerful enough to play Sims 4 so I would imagine it will handle programs like minecraft. The battery easily lasted the 6 hours with normal use but three hours constantly playing Sims 4, this would be expected due to Sims 4 does take a lot out of a general laptop.
This is a great little laptop with large enough memory, expandable storage and a quad core Celeron CPU, along with IPS monitor giving better viewing angles than normal HD, another selling point for me. This laptop is perfect for what I need, general use and university work, oh and writing this review 😉

Excellent budget laptop, suitable for my everyday needs. The 4gb of ram enables this laptop to handle everything i throw at it, from watching video streams, having several excel spreadsheets open, and taking part in video calls. If your after a laptop for non gaming purposes then it should probably serve you well, like it is doing to me.
The keypad and touchpad are both very responsive and comfortable to use. Every so often I suffer with RSI (repetitive strain injury), but have yet to do so following use from this laptop.
The battery is good and has lasted me over 8 hours on a single charge, with battery saver enabled and the screen dimmed to conserve power.
Overall, I’m very pleased with this laptop and delighted that I took the plunge and purchased it.
Apart from Microsoft going for an annual payment for 365 instead of 12 months for office. Somewhat underhand given I also had an unlimited office 12 registered. Problem due to my MS subscriptions and not jupiter. Laptop working well apart from the usual ms local network setup problems. You would have thought that this could have been fixed long since. Playing around with ip addresses gets tedious.
Great little laptop. Good features, reasonable battery life plus 1 year Office subscription included. Very good purchase.
Perfect laptop! Perfect size for me and ideal for my needs. I want to start doing coursework and writing. This is just perfect. It doesn’t feel cheap and I love the keyboard protector! Has a good weight to it too. Doesn’t feel cheap and nasty. I love it!
Happy with the laptop so far. Buy a micro sd card at the same time as you will need more memory to update windows 10. Also the free year of Microsoft 365 doesn’t work if you already have an active subscription to it as I discovered today. Activate the extended warranty and you get free stuff sent to you as well
Not sure if this product is something that I was expecting. I thought It was little bit bigger, but I guess I misjudged it.
Quality video it’s good, not sure about the camera and battery life. Had it on for about 2h and the battery life icon displays that I got another 4h of battery life.
Well, the set up was easy, although the memory space is not enough for me. I was thinking about to return it back, but I guess I will keep it as I will need to work on.
Not bad for a little computer. I guess I will need to work around i
This is a really nice beginner laptop. Its a decent size so its not too big and but bigger than a tablet. The picture quality and graphics are really good for the price. It has a decent battery life on it between charges. Its perfect for my daughter to do her school work on without breaking the bank. Having the office on there is a great bonus too. The webcam quality is really good too, better than I thought it would be. For the price this is amazing. I really like this
I purchased this to replace a very similar product that was a few years old, but wanted to pass it on to the kids for their school online learning.
This was heavily discounted, advertised for 172 for being “Used-like new” from 229. Apart from a dead pixel that started working after applying updates, and an Excel icon on the desktop, one would otherwise not realise this was used. Repacked beautifully by Amazon!
I transferred the OS from my old laptop by moving the 128GB SSD from the old to the new laptop. They both had the M.2 2242 SSD expansion port. The specs say 256GB 512GB and 1TB, but 128GB works flawlessly.
My only buying concern was the rubber cover to change the keyboard from US to UK. I needn’t have worried. It has a nice feel, and protects the laptop from liquid spillages as well.
After applying all the Windows updates to 20H2 (came with 2004) the laptop sped up noticably on the internal eMMC. On the SSD it will be even faster of course.
Perfect for current needs -kids schoolwork, Zoom meetings, internet and watching YouTube!!! I was concerned about the lack of storage but as we save everything to the external drive it will be no problem at all. And as it’s literally the size a piece of A4 paper!!
What a buy! I ordered a different computer but sent it back as it was terrible, slow and poor screen quality and camera. This computer is PERFECT. I do lots of zoom calls and the camera and audio are fantastic. It is light and compact and very fast. I thoroughly recommend it.
This is a fantastic little laptop for the money, light weight, easy to set up and use and you even get a keyboard cover to protect your keys when using, I would recommend.
Used for Zoom excellent sound ie I can hear clearly without headphones & can be heard clearly by colleagues. Also, I placed the rubber keyboard mat on the plastic built-in keyboard & it is great. No problem as yet. It was easy to setup. Am going to add micro SD to extend the memory & use it for more.
Fully functioning laptop, excellent for home schooling during lockdown.
Screen quality is very good, camera is more than adequate and battery life is good.
I have loaded it with Office 365, Norton 360 and various other SW apps and it functions fine.
Live communications using MS Teams and Zoom work very well..
All in all an excellent product for the price and more than capable of coping with most every day requirements.
Recently bought this laptop at Christmas . Shouldn’t really comment on camera as we have not used it yet, but I’m sure it will work as well as the other features. Does pretty much what you would expect. Reviews were good and I think justified. It really does look and feel of high quality, a top end brand feel, for very reasonable money. Time will tell going forward. Battery life is average, but absolutely fine unless you are off grid for over 6 hours, but hey, who really does that with a small additional family lap top! Can’t fault it so far.
Easy set up my son loves its can now do school work
Arrived in good time. Easy to set up. Nice laptop. My son loves it.
Actually, I like this Windows10 PC a lot. I was a bit disconcerted to find a floppy rubber keyboard had to be popped on the hard keyboard to turn it into a UK QWERTY board but it works well and I soon forget about the conversion. I prefer to use earbuds than the speaker for all my ZOOM conferences and, because I had one, I added a Seagate external drive to add to the memory. The camera is low quality in my view but adequate for typical office work.
I absolutely love this laptop!
I didn’t realise how old and how slow my previous one was(it was purchased in 2010!) until I decided treat myself to this one.
It’s so easy to use for a tehno freak like me I’m not very good with these things, but the picture quality, ease of use, and the fact that it speaks to you to set it up made it a pleasure to open it up.
I was using the original keyboard and trying to find out where the @ sign was and getting very frustrated with it!
Until I discovered a the UK keyboard cover was stuck on the top of the laptop itself …..
All in all I am extremely pleased with it and my friend who recommended it is now owed a Costa coffee and cake!!
Once it’s up and running it’s great. Take your time with set up and you can’t go wrong. No issues with year of 365 just have to follow the steps. Webcam quality is poor but you can have it all!
Neat size, looks good. The screen is good and images are crystal clear. It fits the bill as far as I’m concerned. Good value for money .
Laptop arrived a day earlier than expected which was good. It is compact, easy to carry. Set up was no problem and connected to internet without a problem. The keyboard is fine except for the @ which is in the wrong place but will not cause an issue. Too early to comment on battery life etc but so far so good.
I wanted an inexpensive laptop I can take anywhere. Especially typed documents, print it, edit it and such.
It’s brilliant
I can recommend it.
Excellent quick set-up but has developed an annoying habit of not starting first time- need to shut down after the screen gets stuck on the first start-up attempt but starts fine when closed and started a second time. Apart from this works well and is good value.
Very lightweight which is what i wanted for travelling. Like the overlay keyboard once used to it. Touchpad is a bit loud, but I may be able to adjust that in settings. Not worked out how yet.
Set up with Cortina was super easy as she talked you through each step. Have not activated Microsoft 365 yet as have Educational version and there does seem to be a conflict. Not had any problems with emails or wifi connections at all. Not super fast compared to more expensive work lap top. but perfectly adequate and loads pages quickly when surfing. Battery life is good – at least 6 hours so far.
Hope I will be saying the same a few months down the line.
Underneath the laptop gets very hot after a short while. No reply from email to company ‘re warranty and bonus gift. Using page up/down jumps to far and you miss peices of informatio
I bought this for our son’s birthday and initially worried about it being a less known brand. However, the reviews on this page and the fact it was Amazon’s choice persuaded me. It is a really handy lightweight size and the screen colours and definition are fab, much better than my older laptop.
The storage isn’t really enough, but it looks to be easily expandable so we are looking to do that now.
The processing power is ample for what we need and its pretty quick for the basic applications he will use.
Although there is no ethernet connection, WiFi is fine and you can but a cheap ethernet to USB adapter to give ethernet access if required.
The webcam is adequate for what we need, but as is expected is not high end.
In summary, we are pleased with the laptop so far and it does everything we need it to so I would recommend it.
Great laptop for the price. Good life on battery, simple set up. Would recommend without question. Only negative to claim cashback we need a PayPal account which we do not have. Hence overall rating a 4 and not 5.
so far it seems good or fine.
it is very surprising how difficult it is to find a decent basic laptop, from any retailer.
my old laptop was too old. a needed a new one.
my parent had cheap jumper laptops, I thought I’d give it a go.
I bought a two-in-one jumper laptop, that turned into a tablet. it was dreadful. something wrong with design and edge gestures, kept glitcging and uncommanded window switching. I sent it back.
I then bought a nice Asus laptop. it was good except for glaciallly slow doing basic windows functions. I had to return it.
this laptop actually works, so is a breakthrough for me.
doesn’t have touchscreen, but seems not available at this price. you only. get limited time of Microsoft Office, but seems to be true of all computers now. arguments over windows 10 versus Windows 10S or home edition don’t seem too Important.
battery okay, but probably not amazing.
overall seems fine for what I need it. mostly kids homework and Web surfing.
relief to get something that works.
I bought this for my daughters 14th birthday and she absolutely loves it. Battery life is ok. Small, lightweight and very good quality HD screen in which she is impressed with. This laptop also came with 12 months office365 so is perfect for her when completing homework. When it arrived, I found it was well packaged and my daughter found it very easy to set up. Once fully charged (as recommended in the manual before use) she was enjoying her new laptop within minutes. Very pleased with this purchase. I am planning on buying one for my sons birthday too. Thank you.
The promised free Microsoft. 365 programme was not available and neither Amazon or Microsoft customer services could not help.
I ordered this so I had a laptop available if I wanted to perform the basic functions of shopping, banking, emailing, social media and watching Netflix / iPlayer / YouTube / Britbox etc. I didn’t plan to store pictures, documents and videos on it or to download applications, so the relative lack of storage was not an issue and wasn’t planning to play any games more processor intensive than Pokerstars, so the relative lack of RAM was not an issue either.
In all respects it has met my expectations and I am very happy with my purchase. My key observations, both positive and negative are listed below and I hope will help you determines this devices suitability, or otherwise, for you:
Positives
It is 240! Bear that in mind when you read “negatives”
Small footprint, and light, so easy to transport
Screen quality is excellent, perfect for watching Netflix etc.
Touchpad is responsive and accurate
Keyboard, you have to add a UK QUERTY overlay to it, which makes it feel more rubber than plastic but it is not unpleasant and I have had no problems typing out emails etc, or this report. Once fitted, the overlay does not move about which was aconcern I had prior to purchase.
Looks good, it doesn’t scream out “quality” like an iMac but it looks and feels far better than it’s 240 price suggests
Acceptable boot up speed, 55 seconds
I have had no problems with swapping between multiple windows, upto six so far, it swaps quickly rather than instantaneously but workable.
Comes with a free first 12 months of Office 365. I didn’t need it for this but if you were purchasing this for a child / student it does give them access to Office suite at an acceptable speed. Clearly you will need to pay an annual subscription after the first year, currently about 70 per annum I think.
Negatives
It is not blisteringly fast at anything but, for what I have used it for sofar, see intro, it is quick enough for me never to have felt I was waiting for a response. It is operationally fast.
When you first configure it and it is setting up Windows go away and have a long cup of coffee, or walk the dog, if you start trying to test how fast it is, while it configures Windows in the background, you will be horrified and think it is a lemon. It isn’t but it has 4Mb RAM so give it a chance to set itself up.
Watching back to back films I am getting about 5 hours battery life, but that is true with most laptops.
IT ISN’T A GAMES machine, do not buy it for your children thinking they can play Fortnight etc, they can’t. It deals with Pokerstars but only with the animations turned to minimum, that is about its’ limit when it comes to games graphics.
Genuinely, I can’t think of any other negatives. It doesn’t have a top range pentium processor so it isn’t daft fast, it doesn’t have masses or RAM so won’t run multiple windows all doing processor intensive applications quickly, it doesn’t have masses of storage space for your entire photo collection but you shouldn’t have got to the point of reading reviews without knowing that already! 🙂
Also be aware:
It has 4Gb RAM not the 6Gb reported in some comments.
Because it has limited RAM and Processor speed it does not deal well with rubbish internet speeds. I have fast fibre and have no problems watching Netflix etc. but my girlfriend has T***T*** link, apparently made out of spaghetti, and Jumper is far worse than my work Dell when using her link to watch films but that isn’t the laptop’s fault.
In summary buy it for browsing, film watching, emails, social media etc. you will be very pleased and have a device far better than the price would suggest, but buy it for gaming, video editing and CAD designs and you have a 240 door stop!
Hope this helps
Super fast delivery, perfect size for me to complete my coursework on. Can’t wait to get started on it.
Bought this for uni as my other laptop had packed up and after five years of the old one, it was time for an upgrade.
Bought this laptop on the lightening deal and I must say that this laptop is worth the money.
Arrived on time and well packaged. Easy to set up, no issues with it which is perfect.
Highly recommend this laptop.
Light weight and far from being a bulky piece of equipment to transport when required.
It is definitely a laptop suited for office/university work. I have read on a few of the reviews that this was bought for gaming, however I would definitely say, that after using this laptop for a few days, it definitely isn’t suited for that purpose.

Great little laptop for a great price! I’ve been using it a few weeks for college work and had no problems with it. I would recommend it.

I have a more powerful acre laptop which is used for my day to day stuff, but I wanted a lighter and simple to use laptop to take on my daily commute.
The laptop needed to have good battery life as would be used for at least 3 hours a day, powerful enough to surf the net and watch some steaming sites, surf amazon etc. I had a budget of 200 and managed to find this one slightly over that, but it looked more powerful than the others I’d seen so I didn’t mind spending the extra.
My first impressions were very good, the design is sleek and clean, the case feels strong and looks great. It doesn’t have all the bells and whistles of my other one but has Hdmi out and a USB port which I will probably add a hub type device to to improve connections.
The laptop is super light and of a perfect size to do what I need to slip into my rucksack and not really notice it’s in there.
I’ve used it for over a week now downloading a few movies from my subscriptions sites and playing back on the screen without issue and with good quality.
The little unit is powered by an entry level intel processor, which is a quad core and 1.1ghz but can be overclocked more (double I think)- not something I’m fully up to speed on but may take a look to get the most out of it. It has a 128gb hard drive which should be fine for my needs, it longer term you can pick up cheap ssds to increase that size for little money.
Battery wise I’ve not run it fully flat,
But I’m getting well over the 3 hours I needed to get me through the day. I fully expect it to last double if not more than that.
It come preloaded with windows 10 which you set up as you first boot it on, took about 10 mins to set up and it’s linked to my other windows account which means I can save on cloud and download stuff across the two.
So far so good really for this little laptop, it’s apparent it is an entry level laptop because of the speed and connectivity but it’s exactly what I needed for my commute. Super happy with it.

I am turn on set windows 10. when I past the laptop for little boy. he can’t turn on it. I try several times still can’t turn on. I am come back Curry’s. the sales hope me change another one but I am refused. I got money back shop online. I search Amazon find this little laptop had 16th customer review 5 star. so I choose it. this laptop is lightweight and portable, which is convenient for my little boy as he can carry it around wherever . It seems sturdy and hasn’t taken long to set up. It doesn’t have any fans at the bottom so it’s fairly quiet while working. he have been using this laptop for web-browsing, watching films, play games with no issues. Perfect for browsing the internet, using microsoft packages and letting the kids mess around on the various games etc. After long hours working, the battery still have lots left, and good picture quality.
Overall, he is very pleased with this laptop, and it is reasonable price. thanks
