It’s lot bigger than little one thought but he was over the moon with it , really strong construction too better than ones he has had in past and bigger well worth the money , was a bit disappointed it didn’t come with the little dinosaurs in pictures that the dinosaur ate but other than that well happy thank you

We have quite a collection of these Mattel Jurassic World dinosaurs, in fact they are the only range we now buy. They are expensive compared to other ranges, but they are true to the dinosaurs in Jurassic Park/World (which we love!). Fairly robust with good attention to detail.

Managed to get it on sale from amazon and its the best thing ever.
It’s bigger than expected and my son plays with it for hours.
It doesn’t make any noises and no batteries needed.
You can buy separate figures for the dino to eat and it has a door in belly that opens to empty it.
A bargain at 35, this is huge so if space is limited then this isn’t the toy for you. Well made, great detail, this is now my sons favourite out of all the other colossal dinos he has. There is a pull down panel on the belly so Carnotaurus can eat any bad guys without getting them stuck!
Only downside is that is doesn’t include the foot scan which works with the app.

I got this in the Amazon Black Friday event but I don’t think it’s worth full price. It is large and well made but it doesn’t do anything extra to warrant spending that much. Saying that though my son absolutely loves it and spends hours playing with it so we’re very pleased.
This is honestly amazing. If your kids love Jurassic works on Netflix they’re honestly going to love this! It’s a bit expensive but it looks the absolute business!! Make sure you check out Argos they also sell these for cheaper, they were just all sold out I bought 3 I think they’re that good!!

My youngest son loves dinosaurs but at a retail price of 70.00 I wasn’t to sure that I would have wanted to part with so much money.
This time I had to eat my own words as this is a bargain , I couldn’t believe the size (18 inches high and 3.5 ft long) the quality was fantastic, I think I would say it worth a lot more then the retail price.

This is a huge dinosaur which is even bigger when you attatch the tail inside the box. Now don’t get me wrong the dinosaur itself with the size and detail is amazing and my little one loves it, but I was a bit disappointed that it didn’t come with little dinosaurs for him to swallow up and eat. You can’t not be impressed by it and of course with children, the bigger the dinosaur the better, my son loves it!
The dinosaur featured is the Indominous Rex, the seemingly undefeatable hybrid created in the newer Jurassic Park films, though this set is based on the Netflix series Camp Cretaceous which my children are now currently watching and it’s even enjoyable for the adults to watch as we’re all big Jurassic Park fans in this household!
This doesn’t have any electronics and doesn’t require batteries, part of me is relieved as we have enough noisy toys in this house but for the size and the money i do feel you need a roar to come from this!! A simple button with some sound effects would definitely enhance the play for my son at least, the dinosaur looks so fearsome and realistic, i’m wanting it to feel more lifelike with the sounds as it’s such a large and impressive creature!

Well this big guy definitely warrants the name ‘colossal’ as he;s absolutely huge! Around 3 and a half foor long, so he makes a real impact with his presence and dinosaur fans in general and fans of Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous especially will be absolutely over the moon to get this. Really impressive in terms of aesthetics too with very realistic scales/skin and features and decent moving limbs – his claws are pretty terrifying looking too! As are the teeth when you open his huge mouth and together with his pretty mean looking red-eye, he definitely means business.
I didn’t read the description in great detail before he came and only realized after double-checking that you don’t get the little mini dinosaurs for him to gobble up – you need to get them separately as they’re just shown in the pictures as an example of what he can do, but we have plenty of little dinosaurs from various generic sets which worked just as well for feeding time. Definitely the most impressive (both in stature and detail) dinosaur we’ve had in the house so would definitely recommend.
I’m really loving these new Camp Cretaceous dinosaurs from Mattel; they are all fantastic and very nicely detailed! This Colossal Indominus Rex comes delivered in a beautifully illustrated box which can be opened without destroying it.
The legs and tail need to be attached but its just a case of pushing them in till they click, a quite simple but easy design that works great. The dinosaur is huge and nearly a metre long, the mouth opening is very wide and combined with its big stomach its capable of swallowing a large number of figures. The head, mouth arms, claws, tail, legs, and feet all move which gives you a lot of cool ways to position the Indomius Rex and it can stand up really tall and still stay perfectly stable.
The detail on this figure is incredible and Mattel really went all out. The paintwork is fantastic, and I love all the little details including the rubber like teeth and pointy claws, the model looks great and very menacing indeed.
Overall, I absolutely love this Jurassic World series of dinosaurs and I feel Mattel are doing an amazing job with them, they have set the bar very high indeed. This Indominus Rex is brilliant and definitely worth the money, I think both collectors and children will both love this, and it will make an excellent addition to their collection. It’s a very easy recommendation from me and I feel its worth the full five stars!
Well this big guy definitely warrants the name ‘colossal’ as he;s absolutely huge! Around 3 and a half foor long, so he makes a real impact with his presence and dinosaur fans in general and fans of Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous especially will be absolutely over the moon to get this. Really impressive in terms of aesthetics too with very realistic scales/skin and features and decent moving limbs – his claws are pretty terrifying looking too! As are the teeth when you open his huge mouth and together with his pretty mean looking red-eye, he definitely means business.
I didn’t read the description in great detail before he came and only realized after double-checking that you don’t get the little mini dinosaurs for him to gobble up – you need to get them separately as they’re just shown in the pictures as an example of what he can do, but we have plenty of little dinosaurs from various generic sets which worked just as well for feeding time. Definitely the most impressive (both in stature and detail) dinosaur we’ve had in the house so would definitely recommend.
I’m really loving these new Camp Cretaceous dinosaurs from Mattel; they are all fantastic and very nicely detailed! This Colossal Indominus Rex comes delivered in a beautifully illustrated box which can be opened without destroying it.
The legs and tail need to be attached but its just a case of pushing them in till they click, a quite simple but easy design that works great. The dinosaur is huge and nearly a metre long, the mouth opening is very wide and combined with its big stomach its capable of swallowing a large number of figures. If your child is a fan of the Camp Cretaceous cartoon series, then this will sure put a a smile on your child’s face as big as the Indominus Rex itself.
The dinosaur requires assembly but it is a simple case of slotting the limbs etc into the appropriate hole. Once assembled it is huge and has certainly been modelled well, with a high quality finish and attention to detail.
As a parent it is a little disappointing how little it does for the price. It is more a poseable model, with no electronic roar or sound effects.
It’s one party trick is that the mouth is big enough to feed the mini dinosaur action figures into and around 20 can be stored inside. A hatch in the stomach allows you to retrive them.
At the end of the day it’s 3.5 feet long and 18 inches high, so definitely has a WOW factor for children.

Wow! We had plenty of little dinosaurs before this came along. It really is HUGE but the kids LOVE it! It can literally swallow little dinosaurs, which you can then retrieve through a trapdoor in its belly! The joints are articulated nad move well, and it’s not too hard to achieve positions where it stands freely. The tail comes in 2 parts and there’s a slight colour difference with ours, but the kids don’t notice or care. I’m very pleased that is has no electronics, as it means it’s safe to leave outdoors (we’ve got a covered play area on our patio) rather than finding house space for it!

I would say its definitely not suitable for younger dinosaur fans as its probably too scary, but if you want a good authentic (to the film) model, you won’t find better.
WOW what a toy to have if only I was under 10 again. My son however absolutely loved it. This things is a beast, Its massive. Looks very real and even feels real to touch. The toy limbs move and the mouth is big like the photos shows my son loved getting his toy action figures and other dinosaurs out because you can fit them in the mouth of this toy. This should be on your Christmas list for sure.
This is possibly the most realistic Dino from the Jurassic Park / World range of toys. Measuring over 1 metre in length, it’s truly a magnificent model of the Indominus Rex.
Unlike some of the smaller Dino’s, which have sound effects, this one doesn’t; however it makes up for it in the quality of the model and the pose-ability. The head moves in a realistic way, with a terrifying opening and closing mouth.
Although this is designed for children to play with, having the ability to “eat” smaller Dinos, it also looks good enough to put on a display for more grown up / adult Jurassic Park / World fans.
The box is aimed at younger children due to the Camp Cretaceous packaging, however for most it won’t be in the box long if playing with it. The packaging isn’t really designed for collectors.
This is a fantastic Dino and is certainly my favourite official JP/JW one so far. I highly recommend it to all dino fans out there.
