I had the older version and got a few years use from it . I like this new version which has the water spray function . Very pleased with it .
Great appliance, very efficient and fast cleaning. The only downside, I found it difficult to attach to my Karsher as it’s very stiff connection.
Having had an earlier model for a k2 I was expecting that this more expensive version would be better in comparison. Definitely sturdier and resulted in less soaking of the feet compared to our previous one. However would likely have had better results quicker if hubby had read the instructions!!
We have a K4 and should have changed the spray nozzles that were also included as I suspect this would have increased the pressure of the spray! Two kinds of nozzles were included so that it can be used with different karcher power washer models. Great that you can change the spray type pretty easily with your foot which means less switching between attachments.
Compared to using the high pressure lance that comes with most Karchers? Pro: less soaking of the feet and probably quicker to cover a larger area Cons: difficult to get edges of the patio & quite expensive unless on offer. Was the purchase worth it? Undecided. The fact you can use this on a variety of things such as walls and fences.. would be likely to cause more damage if using the high pressure lance. Did it work better? Equal (we didn’t use stone cleaner initially) both with and without detergent. Just less messy but did have to go over some corners with lance.
But on a side note.. you can encourage your significant other to use the power washer to clean something if they enjoy some of the power washing games (although afterwards he said his game was easier)
In summary: undecided if better than previous models.. however if on offer and you want one of these tools.. I’d pick this model. If it wasn’t on offer: stick to the high pressure lance
After years of just using the lance I bought this attachment. Should have done it earlier. What a time saver. Cleans the paving and the block paving very well using it on a K4. I didn’t have to wash the windows and doors afterwards!
After buying this I had huge issues trying to get it to connect to my T5 Full control Plus Lance. The yellow lugs got wedged within the lance and i had to prise them out with long nose pliers.
I had booked to return the T-Racer Surface Cleaner, but on a whim i tool the plastic lug out of my karcher wash bottle and tested that and it works perfect
I contacted KArcher and they have said it may be a bad batch and have said they will send me replacement set of o rings and plugs. Will update.
