I’ve used this for kneading dough, whisking and mixing and it does them all brilliantly. The attachments are easy to change and to clean and the machine itself is stylish and straightforward to use. The suction power of the feet is so strong that it is sometimes a bit of a struggle to get it off the surface, but I wouldn’t say that’s a bad thing! The paddle gets to the bottom, but doesn’t quite skim the sides, the included spatula (? is that the word for it?) sorts that out though. Overall I am very happy with this mixer and would recommend it.

Good sized bowl, all mixing attachments and a spatula to wipe the mix from inside the bowl.
    Good value for money.

Not bad value, bit loud when increasing its power but that’s expected. So far used a few times, does not take the bottom flour properly when making a dough but great for liquid blends.

I purchased this mixer to make cake mixing easier and quicker, it has achieved this, it is easy to use and clean I am very pleased with this mixer it’s price was what it would of cost to service my 1960 Kenwood, I do not expect the same longevity but hope for a few years. Love the bright red finish. Would recommend to anyone who does not want to spend three times its cost.

Needed to replace very old but much loved mixer and selected this one. The power is great, the colour is smart, the price was great, but the suction is unbelievably strong. This is good until you want to move the mixer and as I have rheumatoid arthritis, its not as easy for me. However other than that small issue, I love it and would recommend it.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersThis is a brilliant stand mixer, in my opinion it’s on-par with KitchenAid quality.

We bought it to replace a cheaper unit we’ve had for a few years with half the functionality, a much smaller mixing bowl and less power and features.

There are some excellent features and capabilities this mixer provides:
    – The tilt head incorporates a splash lid to keep everything IN the bowl while using.
    – The three attachments; Dough Hook, Whisk, and Beater are all well-made and highly functional.
    – The mixing bowl is all stainless steel and very easy to clean after use.
    – Silicone Suction cups under the bottom of the mixer hold counter surfaces very well, providing security.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis stand mixer, is my new favourite kitchen tool! It’s big, but not too heavy for me, the suction cups on the bottom are great, and using it is heavenly! I made brownies, and they turned out better than ever before, and the only difference is the mixer! It’s great to work with, and it’s my first ever stand mixer, for the price you just can’t go wrong, it’s easy to use for a beginner like me, it’s slow settings are actually slow and not too fast like I’ve heard about some stand mixers, but boy can it be fast too! I bought this beast to help me batch bake for Christmas gift hampers that I’m making this year, and I have a feeling that it’s going to be amazing! I highly, highly recommend

I have a good lifelong friend who has finally moved in to her new family home. She is a keen home baker so I knew she’d appreciate this KICHOT stand mixer as a house warming gift. Plus I am hoping I will be getting some nice treats to try in the future. She has used it already for a nice party cake and some scones. She loves it. It sits firmly on the worktop with the four suction pads and goes well with her current kitchen decor. The mixer has enough power. At maximum it is enough for bread dough. The power is very adjustable with pulse mode as well and the 4.5l bowl size is perfectly fine for a family. The scones that she made were very delicious. I am glad my friend loves her new mixer.

One of the cheapest 1000W+ mixers available on Amazon, but don’t let the low price fool you into thinking the quality is any different to more pricier models.

This mixer by KICHOT works brilliantly and has a very premium feel and look to it.

1300W is more than adequate for all of your mixing and kneading needs, we bake a lot of bread (2-3 loaves per week), so going from nothing to this mixer was a huge time saver!

I ordered this to make baking and cooking slightly easier for us at home:

    – The mixer came in a really fancy looking box! Honestly it looked like it had come from the shop floor of
a John Lewis or M&S! Inside everything was neatly arranged and very well packaged with a really good
instruction and care manual, 3 attachments (whisk, dough hook and a flat beater), splash guard, egg
    separator and silicon spatula.
    – Be careful when unpacking! The dough hook attachment was taped to the underside of one of the
polystyrene blocks and I only just noticed when I was about to throw them away! So check
    everything!
    – All of the attachments and the main mixer are made of exceptional quality materials! Honestly it feels
    so robust and fancy!
    – There are suckers underneath the mixer to help it stay still on your work surface. To say that they are
strong and work too well is a slight understatement! They honestly keep it stuck well down and it
can be slightly tricky getting them unstuck again sometimes.
    – The colour of the mixer is just so stylish!
    – I love that you can flip the top up at the flick of a switch so you can remove the bowl and attachments!
    – Each piece is extremely easy to clean via hand washing!
    – It has made baking so easy! Honestly it has made it a lot more pleasurable and the mixer isn’t noisy
    either!

I cannot recommend this enough! We have been using this every weekend for the last 2 months and we love it!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThis mixer is for our local community centre. Elderly local residents drop in weekly for a catch-up, socialise and have a cup of coffee. This mixer is perfect for baking some nice treats to go with their cuppie. The first thing you notice with this mixer is it’s size. This in not like your normal domestic mixer. It would not sand out of place in a restaurant kitchen! It is solid and heavy giving it an industrial design and feel about it. The large 10L bowl is perfect for mixing large qualities for baking. This extra power from the 1800W motor is definitely the most powerful I have come across personally. It comes with 3 mixing attachments and a splash guard to keep things clean and tidy. The construction of this product is all metal meaning that it should be long lasting and durable. This mixer is perfect for our needs. It would be suitable for semi-commercial home bakers also.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersThe KICHOT 10L stand mixer is a really nice looking mixer and comes in at a reasonable affordable price. It has a 1800W motor and has six different speed settings plus a pulse mode. The mixer has a nice silver finish, comes with a splash guard to minimise mess, has suction cups on the feet to ensure minimal movement during use and it even comes with three accessories including a whisky, a flat beater and a dough hook.

Overall quality is good, the machine works really well and produces light and fluffy meringue mix and it keeps the better half happy as she is forever moaning about hand mixing. Great product and fair enough on price.

My wife and mother-in-law does a lot of home cooking and bakery, we had two stand mixer in the last 5 years, this is the largest size we’ve have for family use. It has multiple mixer head that it will fulfill most of need to use as a stand mixer. The power is 1800W, its a strong power among a stand mixer under 200 quid and 6 level of speeds it can be used for various cooking but need a bit time to get used to the speed for different purpose. One of the feature I love most is its so easy to lock and unlock the bow compare to my other stand mixer, i would recommend it.

The mixer is heavy and takes up quite a bit of space on a worktop. About the mixer itself, You can adjust the speed settings so nothing is overworked. The bowl is nice and big so less chance of overspill. The suction cups for the worktop are decent too so no chance of movement. Definitely worth the money. Using the mixer is very straightforward. This large mixer has a large beater, a dough hook, and a large whisk. It also comes with a cover plate to avoid splashes, ingredients can be easily added and the bowl cover can be attached. Use the same lever again to lower the head to its operating position.

I did a LOT of research. I had a budget of $100ish. My husband wanted to bless me with a new mixer since my Bosch finally gave up the ghost, but he said he just couldn’t get me a Kitchen Aid at this point. Challenge accepted. I had no idea we had options out there besides a Kitchen Aid. I am beyond pleased with this model. My KICHOT handles all my mixing needs. It is light weight…but not wimpy. My husband was impressed with the splash guard. It is easy to assemble and disassemble. The parts clean easily. The turn dial lights up so I know right away when I forget to plug it in (every time!). My husband was also impressed with how much quieter it is than my old Bosch. I waited a few months before reviewing to make sure my love at first sight was lasting. As you can see from the picture, it fits well right under my cabinets when not in use. I highly recommend this product.

    I love this mixer!

The Kichot mixer is 100 pounds which is more expensive than ordinary mixers so I was curious about how powerful it would be. When the gif package arrived I was amazed to see that it looked shiny and stylish. After I used it a couple of times I fell in love with this mixer! It is 1300w so it is very powerful. Only takes a few seconds to whip eggs even in speed 8. Also easy to kneading doughs which is a time consuming work for me. It is easy to use and clean. The only thing is it is bulky I need to find space to store it in my crowded kitchen!

This is my first stand mixer I have ever used. Wanted to have a stand mixer for ageing but didn’t have any idea which to get.

I love bread and cake baking, that involve a lot of mixing and kneading. My old handheld electric mixer can only help me on the mixing but not kneading.
This Kichot stand mixer is quite compact, 4.5L, it doesn’t take up a lot of space on my kitchen top. I would actually prefer the red colour but turns out black one matches more with the colour tone of my kitchen. it is sufficient to make small batch of bake. I make bread with 375g of flour (with 240ml of liquid), the capacity of this stand mixer is sufficient for the mix.

This stand mixer is so versatile, from mixing and beating eggs, to kneading bread dough. I love the fact that there are 10 speed plus pulse to choose. Really nice to beat eggs starting with the lowest speed and gradually speed up, which my handheld electric mixer can’t do.

With this stand mixer now in the kitchen, I don’t need to waste my energy on beating eggs with the handheld mixer, kneading bread with my hands, it makes my life so much easier and continue my interest in baking.

If you are looking for a stand mixer with good quality and price. This will be a good choice.

Physically, this looks and feels solid. I particularly like how those suckered feet hold the it firmly in place, even when I wind that motor up to its fastest setting the mixer stays put. On the subject of speed, I particularly like that I simply need to smoothly turn the speed knob clockwise/anti-clockwise to quickly regulate that speed – instead of frustratingly having to ‘click’ through 1-10 settings. Tilting the head is simple to do via a chromed locking lever on the side – this enables you to easily fit and remove the various attachments. By the way, included with the machine is a sturdy aluminium dough hook, an aluminium flat beater, and a stainless steel whisk. Another excellent inclusion is the 4.5 litre stainless steel bowl with handle, and the very useful transparent splash guard, which fits perfectly upon the top. It’s worth mentioning that after use all three of those aforementioned attachments fit neatly into that steel mixing bowl before you put your mixer away for the day – usefully keeping everything in one place. Oh, and before I forget, in the box you additionally receive a plastic egg white separator and a silicone spatula – both of which are thrown in as free gifts, but are certainly not ‘deal-breaker’ items.

Everything about this mixer says built to last, its chunky, very heavy and clearly well made. Its also pleasing to see it well protected in transit, its completely encased in polystyrene and then packed into a sturdy cardboard box.

The ease of use with this machine is a great bonus, its literally 2 minutes out of the box to use. The whisk, flat beater and dough hook are very quick to interchange and all three are of simple design so quick to clean after use. I generally leave the whisk attached when not in use as it’s a bit big to store in the drawer. On the subject of storage this Kichot is a beast, I guess if you have the kitchen space and it goes with your colour scheme you’ll be happy to leave it on show, we decided to keep it on the utility worksurface as we don’t have enough cupboard room.

In use the splash guard is great for keeping a clean kitchen, it also aids the process of adding ingredients to the mix. The large bowl is fantastic for a big cake mix or perfect for Pizza dough, the planetary motion really helps with both of these. The 6 speeds are easy to control from the large dial and backed by a 1800W motor.

I think it’s fair to argue that some other mixers are better looking for example the classic design of the KitchenAid, however they are considerably more expensive and the mixing bowl can be half the capacity. On balance the Kichot is a fair price for a superior mixer (supported by a 2 year warranty).

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersGot this to replace my Retired Aldi mixer, this product is way better , it’s got more speed 10 speed control, stronger suction at the bottom, quieter and looks way better and a bit slimmer, it did a perfect job and quality seems great, the lid has got full coverage so it does not leak any flour or dust particles or no flies or wasp can get in easily into the mixing area. It’s a bit lighter to carry around but yet the strong suction holds it down firmly.

As someone who doesn’t like to cook much, I tend to use these types of kitchen equipment to “improve” my culinary skills and to experiment with fun new recipes.

First thing you’ll notice about this mixer – it’s fairly heavy from the get-go and takes up a considerable amount of space. I don’t think it would be something that has a permanent place on my kitchen counter though, it would only come out of the box as and when required since it takes up a lot of space that could otherwise be better utilised.

Its heaviness does come in handy when it is being used – it’s a powerful mixer at 1800W whereas the average is around 1000W. The weight keeps it in a static position and ensures it doesn’t move around, so no need to keep a hold on it. The little suction cups on the bottom also help in keeping it in place too.

The bowl is quite large – it can accommodate quite a lot of content so if you’re someone who likes to make cookies for the entire family, this will be a good one!
Despite it being large, it is surprisingly easy to clean out.

In terms of functionality, it has 6 different speeds and comes with 2 additional whisk heads (Flat Beater and Dough Hook).
Worked quite well when I made some pizza dough from scratch as it came out well-kneaded – definitely a better job than if I tried it by hand.

Price-wise, I think there are cheaper alternatives that could be found if you don’t mind forgoing some power. The final product made with the machine should end up mostly the same anyway, regardless of power.
This is currently priced at 198.99 but I’ve seen plenty of mixers under 100 that look like they’d also do a good job.

Overall, while it’s not something I’d keep in my kitchen all the time due to space constraints, it’s quite a nice machine to have.

The first thing you notice when unpacking him as what a beast he is, very heavy and sturdy when placed on the counter with help from the plastic sucker feet on the base to keep him planted.

He does come with quite an array of tools and sundries which is more than I’ve seen on some models recently, you get in no particular order a Wire Whisk, Silicon Spatula, Dough Hook, Flat Beater,
Splash Guard Cover and finally an Egg Separator.

This is a fairly recent upgrade for me as my previous stand mixer is barely six months old but this was a seriously good upgrade.

The weight seems to be because there is a large amount of metal used in construction and design which has been carefully thought out, this is a well made and carefully designed mixer for maximum benefit, coming with an 1800w motor a large 8l bowl and six speed settings it can handle anything in my kitchen so far.

So to put it bluntly, this is an awesome kitchen helper that will be at ease making light and fluffy cakes or gigantic bread mixes, it is also very easy to clean as almost everything has a wipe over approach, nothing is too fiddly for that to work.

For a powerful machine with assured build quality and good design for ease of use this is an easy recommendation for any kitchen and it even comes with an instruction manual if you have never used a stand mixer before.

Golden Review Award: 20 From Our UsersThis came well packed in a Cardboard box with a polystyrene flight case inset to ensure it arrives in perfect condition.
When I removed it from the box I was first struck by the weight of it, this is a significant piece of kit!
My partner and I have had a Kenwood K-mix for about 5 years and get on really well with it.
If we were to play top trumps between the two mixers this Kichot matches or beats the K-mix in every department except one.
This is (far) bigger & (far) more powerful, both have planetary actions, both have splash guards, both came with the same three attachments, both are all metal construction, both are very easy to use and both are great looking items to have in the kitchen.
The only number bigger on the K-mix than on this was the price, by nearly double!
This is a total steal in comparison, if you compare specification and price this is a clear winner on both!
The bowl on this is much larger at 10 Litres, there is no handle on the bowl on this so you need to be careful how you pick it up or move it because it is heavy when anywhere near full.
This has the same planetary action as my K-mix which means there is a single, whisk, hook or flat beater (rather than two side by side as most basic / domestic mixers are) this not only spins on its own axis but it is actually moved around the whole bowl by the mixer, geared to pick up everything in the bowl and not leave anything untouched.
This is a bit like the moon going round the earth as the earth goes round the sun, hence the term Planetary action.
This is a much more complicated mechanical device and planetary action machines are much more expensive to manufacture to this standard, so they inevitably cost a lot more.
A planetary action single dough hook will start slow to combine the ingredients and then once combined it will kneed the dough to develop the gluten, perfectly every time.
Once you have experimented and found what works for you, as long as you stick to the same ingredients you will get fanatically consistent results, just like a pro.
Changing the hook to the whisk or the flat beater is a cinch first you press the lever to tilt the machine up and then it fits just like a UK bayonet light bulb fits in a light socket, push up and twist, job done, ready to drop, rock and roll.
There are 6 speeds and a pulse action all controlled by the wheel on the side of the machine, so you can start and adjust the speed as you add different ingredients, with the splash guard attached this is a mess free easy job to do.
This came with a silicone spatula and egg white separator as a gift from the manufacturer which was a nice touch.
I think this is a handsome beast with its clean and simple style and contemporary grey colouring, if you have the space to leave it on display I am sure you would.
This machine is perfect for the aspiring baker, or anyone with a large family that wants to do more and achieve real consistency.
I think it represents fantastic value for money being around half the price of the best known brands which all fall short of this one on capacity. HTH

I make cookie dough in bulk and with a usual mixer I need to halve the recipe to fit it into the mixer but with this mixer I can do it all at once. It is powerful and has a good range of speeds. The lid prevents splashes. I got great results with cakes and cookies. The only negative is the control dial feels a bit loose and that it might break easily.

If you are considering a purchase of this KICHOT stand mixer, we would strongly suggest you take a good look at the promotional video for it, because it will give you a much better idea of how big it actually is. Not only is the mixer huge (in comparison to the majority of domestic mixers), it’s also VERY heavy, and with the addition of strong suction feet, it will not budge from a kitchen worktop, even at full capacity and full speed.

The weight of the machine comes from its all-metal construction, which makes it extremely sturdy and robust. However, it’s not the quietest of stand mixers, in fact, it can be quite noisy at times, but that’s down to the powerful 1800W electric motor, which is obviously required if you intend to mix large quantities of ingredients regularly.

Going back to the size of this mixer, it really all depends on two things here: whether you need such a high capacity mixer/mixing bowl combination, and whether you have the kitchen worktop space to accommodate it. If you do not intend to leave the mixer out, storage will be an issue, you’ll need a lot of kitchen cupboard space, and of course, manoeuvring such a heavy item will be awkward for most.

A price of 198.99 may seem a little expensive, but this is a lot of mixer for your money, it really is a powerful machine, it performs all tasks effortlessly, and with a two year manufacturer warranty, there’s peace of mind where longevity is concerned.

Overall, if you have a large family, or a large circle of friends who you regularly bake for, this stand mixer will make life that little bit easier, we have used it extensively over the last few weeks (mainly for multiple pizza bases and loaves of bread), and it’s been invaluable.

I’m amazed by this product. So far I have used it for pizza dough and pasta dough. I can’t wait to try for bread. Easy to clean, several different attachments to mix with, even comes with a spatula. An amazing find.

    Fantastic mixer, 10/10

Amazing stand mixer that looks good and meets my needs.
First of all, I just want to comment on the appearance of this. It is a nice, bright, vibrant red, which is great, because red is my favourite colour and this just happens to meet that.
Very nice mixer in terms of functionality. 10 speeds, 3 attachments. Suitable to use for making cakes, bread, pizza, etc. Personally, I really like making cakes and pizza, and this saves a lot of time when making the dough for them.
Furthermore, there is a lid that covers the mixing bowl, which helps prevent mixture from spilling out if you’re making a lot and this lid also allows the unit to be used for mixtures to rest, if that’s required, so it’s very convenient.
The unit also isn’t too big in size, so it can fit in the corner of a kitchen.
Cleaning is also simple and straightforward, as the attachments can all be detached and with a lid reducing spills, the unit and the surrounding area are kept clean.
At the time of review, the price is 99.99 with a 5.00 off voucher on top, putting it at 94.99. This is a very good deal for such a good quality unit, because there are bigger brands out there costing more than than double this even during a sale. I bought a bigger brand one for my mother a few months ago during a sale, and that was a lot more expensive, but in terms of functionality, not much different from this.
Of course, durability, warranty, etc all play a part, but so far, not seeing any major differences. Definitely worth recommending.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersMy boyfriend is really into baking and we wanted a new mixer, especially now he’s been getting into making bread. He’s also been making gorgeous tasting chelsea buns too, and the attachments on this made it seem perfect. And so far we’re really happy with the quality of it and the design.

    Pros:
    * Expensive-looking: lovely and sleek, looks very high end and very similar to a mixer from a more expensive brand
    * Durable attachments: all attachments are metal apart from the egg separator and silicone paddle
    * Whisk attachment is great for mixing batter and making meringue
    * Dough hook works really well and makes fluffy, air-filled mixtures
    * Paddle attachment is is great for when a mix doesn’t require too much mixing; it’s almost like folding into a mixture (we use it for banana bread)
    * Power dial is multi-speed and handy for different kinds of mixing. It also has a turbo function which has a toggle setting that works well
    * Protective shield keeps things tidy: this pushes onto the top part of the mixer and protects your kitchen from splashes
    * Mixing bowl has an innovative design: stainless steel with a handle which is amazing and super easy to clean with hot soapy water
    * Suction feet stick it solidly to a flat surface securely

    Cons:
    * Because the whisk end is fairly “far” from the bottom of the bowl, if you put hard-to-mix layers at the bottom like powder they don’t mix in very well, so it’s better to put powders and dry matter on top and fluids underneath

So far, the mixer has served us really well. It’s really easy to use, the controls are straightforward and the attachments really versatile and strong. I really like the handle design on the bowl – it’s been a life saver for pouring and moving the mix around. Overall, I’d give this top marks; it’s good value considering the quality and looks great with our dark kitchen decor too. Highly recommended from both a newbie and an experienced baker.

I’m very impressed with with this Kichot stand mixer. I love everything about this including the colour and design. The mixers has 10 speed settings and easy to use and clean. This comes with 3 attachments and anspatula which comes very handy and its very easy to attach and take off the attachments. The stainless steel bowl is my favourite with the handle and easy to pour the mixture and is deep and I was able to use 10 plus eggs and still had more room. It is well designed and looks sleek and elegant. I used this several times so far and it performs well every time. I haven’t used it to make dough or bread with this yet only cakes. The structure is very good and sturdy and has suctioning at the bottom to stop it from moving when using it. It’s very powerful and fast. Overall excellent quality and value and looks amazingly good and well worth it . I highly recommend it.

    Excellent performance and quality product.

This is a review for Kichot Stand Mixer. It’s a 4.5L with 1300W, UK Plug. It was 99.99 at the time of review. I have a black countertop therefore a bright red glassy stand mixer is very outstanding when placing it in my kitchen. The whole unit is not very heavy, can lift up easily. Although it’s lightweight but the suction power underneath is very high, it basically sucks on the countertop and sits still. The size is good, slightly small than the big brands selling on market so it is quite suitable for kitchen which don’t have lots of space.

The stand mixer comes with a whisk, a butterfly blade, and a hook, which serves different purposes. It also has an egg yolk separator and a spatula comes with as extra accessories. As a 99.99 stand mixer, it’s a very complete set already. I tried the dough making and cake mixture preparation, egg white flooring and they all works fine. There are 10 adjustable Speeds and a pulse system which is very useful and convenient. Just turn the knob on the standmixer at the speed you like.

All the accessories are dishwasher friendly which is good news to me as I hate washing by hand. The body of the stand mixer is easy to clean and keep shiny. The only thing I think that needs improvement is the handle for the tilt head is a bit plastic/flimsy where I am not confident on, other than that, it’s a very good price-performance standmixer at 99.99 price range.

I wasn’t sure what to expect from a large eight litre food mixer at this price level but on arrival I was surprised and delighted at the build quality and the ease of use from this lovely machine.
Everything is well packed and when opening is was very simple to put the few parts that needed assembling together ready to use. This basically only requires the bowl, splashguard and attachment putting into place and it’s ready to go.
When operating this mixer there are only two switches to think about, one tilts the top so that the attachments can be fitted and removed along with the bowl and the other is the turn control which adjusts the power of the mixing, this even gives a guide as to the power required for each type of use.
On the underside of this unit are four suction feet which really hold this unit down and stops it from moving around the work area when in use although even on full power this mixer is still fairly stable.
The large mixing bowl and the attachments are all made from a good quality stainless steel which we have cleaned in the dishwasher without a problem for easy cleaning along with the plastic splashguard, these are the only items that need a full clean, any small bits of the ingredients that might get onto the machine simply wipe off with a damp cloth but even this is rarely required so long as the splashguard is in place.
Even though this is a large machine with plenty of power it is still much lighter than our older Kenwood Chef Mixer, so getting this out of the cupboard and putting it away again can be done without the need for a coarse in weight training first, lol.
We have tried all of the different attachments and mixing levels and thus far this machine has worked flawlessly with everything from dough to egg whites to cake mix, all finished in a short amount of time and with an easy cleanup ready to put away again.
Beautiful and powerful eight litre machine at a great price.

This mixer is amazing, it makes my life so much easier. I am really happy to be able to test it.

The mixer is big in size and is quite powerful. Has 6 levels speeds (check the video on this review) that range from a soft to a vigorous mix. Also has ‘P’ setting for a quick few seconds mix, but beware that the P setting’s velocity is quite strong.

The bowl is enormous; I didn’t had the notion of the bowl’s volume until I used it for the first time. No complaints on this, it’s handy to have a big bowl. The bowl itself looks robust, but the handle feels a little frail, so I hope it will last the usage and the weight of the ingredients.

Mixing wise, it mixes really well, but sometimes the dough/mix that stands on the wall of the bowl needs to be pushed down/in with a spatula to be properly mixed, which is pretty normal in these big mixers.

The attachments (whisk, beater and dough hook) are easy to change; it takes just a few seconds to insert the attachment, and is easy to hand wash.

In the product page it mentions that the mixing bowl and whisk is dishwasher-safe, but in the instruction manual mentions that the components are not dishwasher safe due to the risk of becoming misshapen or discoloured. Hopefully it will be dishwasher safe, in today’s age it wouldn’t be practical having kitchen components not dishwasher safe. When I get a dishwasher I will test it and update this review.

The mixer has suction feet under it to keep it still. They’re pretty powerful suction cups so it will be safe to leave the mixer on the highest setting, it will not move out of its place. Also the mix stand has a locking system to lock the bowl to the mixer, so the bowl doesn’t move around or be thrown around in the highest speed settings.

The splashguard is very handy and is easy to insert on the stand mix head.

The only thing I dislike on this mixer is the plug, it’s a bit short. I wish it would be a little bit longer, since the plugs in my kitchen are a bit out of place.

    PROS
    – Strong mixer
    – Several speed settings
    – Big volume bowl
    – Several mixing attachments
    – Easy and straightforward to use

    CONS
    – Not clear if the bowl and the whisk are dishwasher safe
    – The bowl’s handle might be a bit frail
    – Has a short length plug

Overall, I am incredibly satisfied with this mixing bowl. I am amazed with the speed strength and the efficiency of this mixer. Given the range and the prices of the stand mixers, I would completely recommend buying this mixer, has it gives you more settings and speed than any other stand mixers with the half of cost.

An Amazing Monster of a Mixe

A decent basic electric mixer that’s fairly compact so will suit smaller kitchens if storage is limited. Even though the bowl is a little smaller you can still mix a lot in it. My basic cake mix is 6oz sugar, 6oz flour, 6 oz butter plus 2 eggs I was able to triple this quantity and the mixer handled it well. Making bread is easy too but because there’s less room for the dough to be thrown around and stretched in the bowl I recommend mixing for longer than you usually would or knead on a surface as well as in the bowl by the mixer.

The hooks aren’t as solid as I expected so I think after very heavy use they’d need replacing. If you’re going to be a very heavy user I’d spend more and buy a mixer with a bigger motor to handle the excessive use, I feel this mixer is for light use of occasional baking.

The non slip feet are superb, the mixer didn’t move even when dough was being kneaded and thrown around the bowl…nobody wants to walk away for a moment and come back to find their mixer has bounced on to the floor, that’s unlikely to happen with this mixer.

For somebody who’s new to baking this is a great entry level mixer for them to see if they enjoy baking enough to invest in a more powerful one. Perfect for those who like the odd weekend baking too. I think 99 is a decent price as its basically good quality, I’m just used to heavier steel paddles and feel these ones are a little too lightweight but I’m sure they’re fine for light users and I had no issues with them during testing.

My only issue that I did have was the splash guard would not fit, it wasn’t too much of an issue as the bowl isn’t too wide so I was just more careful when adding ingredients during use.

It’s been a long time since I’ve used an electric mixer. I used to have a Kenwood back when they first came out, and, although a novelty at the time, I soon went back to mixing by hand. Well, mixers have certainly improved since then. This Kichot mixer not only looks great, (I love the mailbox red), but is functional and practical too. I’ve now had time to try its various functions preparing a variety of mixes for baking. All had good results, and all were prepared faster – or at least allowed me to multitask. (One gripe I had with old mixers is that although preparation time was shortened, dismantling and cleaning took far longer); this mixer seems to have less parts and felt simpler to clean etc. The mixer’s mixing tools were more efficient than my old mixer too, with no portions of cake batter left unmixed. But speed isn’t everything. With baking, results are more important. Mostly, results were good, however, I did feel the finished sponge cake was denser/less light than my usual that has been carefully creamed and folded by hand. Suction feet kept the mixer stable/secure, even at high speeds. One major plus was the splash-guard/shield, which did its job and was especially effective at preventing cough-inducing clouds of icing-sugar when preparing frosting. Good mixer, enjoyed testing it, but I’ll probably still mix my cake batter by hand.

    Good Mixe

The first thing that drew me to this mixer was, undoubtedly, the colour. It’s such a vibrant red and the pictures depict exactly how bright the colour is in real life. It’s also really stylish with a nice mix of the red and the silver.

The footprint of the machine is surprisingly compact at just 35cm deep by 22cm across. Even if you’re not planning to have this left out on your kitchen unit at all times, it’s still nice that it won’t take up – or need – too much room. It’s also not overly heavy – another good point if you’re lugging it in and out a cupboard with each use.

I love how the bowl has a handle and a lip for pouring. I didn’t actually know my previous mixer was missing those elements until this one. Now, I’m not sure how I could have a mixer without them. From a practical standpoint – the handle is also really good if you need to feel secure when lifting things.

I love that the splash guard is such a good fit and goes up and down with the head. It also comes off so you don’t need to have it on if you don’t want it.

You tilt the head by turning the lever. The actual motion of the tilt is quite dynamic and yet feels secure. Turning the knob, it’s clear what speed you’re on – even without the fact that you can clearly see the beater when it’s in motion.

It’s not overly loud – at least it’s not any louder than my previous mixer which was by one of the more well-known brands. Obviously the higher the speed, the noisier it gets. But it’s not unbearable.

All the bits that come with it – whisk, dough hook and beater – are sturdy and fit for purpose. In fact, the whole thing feels and looks well-made. I was very pleasantly surprised when I got it out the box to see just how good looking it was.

For the price, you really get a great deal with this mixer. It looks great, works well and is a fantastic buy for the price (99 at the time of my review) – which is substantially cheaper than many of the better known brand names. If you like the look of this, I would definitely recommend it to you. It looks great in my red kitchen and I’m delighted with it all round. 5 stars.

What a beauty this is. I was wowed from the moment I opened the box. This is a top quality mixer. I really liked the anti slip feet on this that keeps it grounded to the work top. It was much bigger than I thought it would be and takes up a whole shelf in one if my cupboards but well worth making the room. It would have taken up far too much space on the work top when not in use.
The mixer has a dough hook, flat beater and large whisk, (perfect for meringues and cheesecake). It has a ten speed setting to meet any challenge. Another great feature is that it mixes a perfect consistency for anything I have made as the attachmentments reach every part of the stainless steel bowl.
It’s the little things too that make this great to use, like the splash cover over the mixing bowl . I great safety feature too.
I am thrilled with this. It is making me more adventurous to try different things to make.

In the days of multi function food processors, it’s nice to be using something a little more retro. I can count on one hand the number of times I’ve used most of the functions of my aging processor, but because it’s so big it’s a pain to clean for simple jobs, like mixing batter or cake mix.

So this is a welcome addition to our kitchen, providing plenty of versatility with a range of beaters and mixers included. It’s adept at mixing cake mix or batter for Yorkshire puddings, though I haven’t used the dough hook as have a dedicated bread maker.

It’s a powerful mixer, with a variable speed selection, though is quite noisy in use. The bowl is an excellent size and the splash guard works well. The design is a little retro, but shouldn’t look out of place in a modern kitchen.

I feel at nearly 100 the price is quite high, but there’s no doubting that this is well made and a good quality product.

We are really impressed with this. The sheer size and the high quality of this mixer makes it feel like it’s industrial / commercial standard. The quality is evident when using it. Its ultra robust and heavy duty. On its fastest mixing speed at full bowl capacity it doesn’t move about at all. It stands firm which means it mixes really efficiently.

It works very well at beating and whisking on all speeds. It is a very high standard. I think it is brilliant for any home baker who wants a big mixer that is very well built. Even the attachable parts are a high grade. The mixing bowl is easy to clean and the cover is great at keeping mixture off the rest of the machine.
The design is cool, it looks space age especially with the light up blue ring around the dial. The deign is user friendly and the stand mixer lifts up allow g for easy removal and install of the bowl. The whisk and mix attachment has perfect coverage and efficiently covers the whole bowl ensuring no clumps of mixture.
I’m also impressed with the two year warranty from Kichot. To me it suggests they have faith in their products so I’m confident in the quality too.

So good it's almost commercial quality

I’ve always wanted a stand mixer but could never justify the cost as they were just too pricey for my liking. This stand mixer by KICHOT is fantastically priced and really affordable so I was a bit sceptical but very pleasantly surprised after using it.
It’s very easy to use and quite powerful with 1300 watts and isn’t too noisy at the same time.
It’s so sturdy and not flimsy at all and you get everything you need with it, the mixer also includes a dough hook made of aluminium, a stainless steel wire whip, an aluminium flat beater, an egg white separator, silicone spatula and a 4.5L stainless steel bowl. The stand mixer comes with 10 speed settings so it has plenty of options for you to choose depending on what is required and can deal with thick bread dough or a cake mix easily. I also like the simple and sleek design, the shiny black is very understated and simple and will fit in with any decor so it won’t be an eyesore leaving this out on your kitchen counter. It’s super easy to clean as well and you can easily wipe the stand mixer down too.
Great stand mixer which works brilliantly and is fantastic value for money.

Having used this machine for around two weeks all I can say is “wow”. This is not my first stand mixer but it’s definitely the best so far. The stand mixer has a powerful 1800w motor that mixes anything you throw in with ease. Included in the pack are the following:
    Stand Mixer
    Metal Head Wire Whisk
    Aluminum Dough Hook
    Aluminum Flat Beater
    Splash Guard Cover
    Silicon Spatula
    Egg Separator
    User Manual
So basically you get several extra items that you don’t usually get with other mixers.
The machine is a good 8 kilos in weight. It has a quality build and it does seem like all components are very good quality. The bowl capacity is an impressive 8 litres. So far I’ve used the mixer for cake mix, egg whites and chappati flour. It obviously manages very well with the first two. The chappati flour is much harder but due to the very powerful motor and large capacity bowl I can knead a large quantity of chappati flour with ease. This machine is excellent for whipping, kneading and whisking. The splash guard stops food flying out of the machine and all over your kitchen worktops. You also get a chute incorporated in the splash guard so you can add extra ingredients without stopping the machine. The machine has five suction cups that keep it in place whilst it is being used. The suction world very well even when the machine is being used at the top speeds. The tilt head design makes changing the attachments very easy. This is an excellent quality machine that is likely to last many years (it comes with a two year guarantee). At the moment this stand mixer is priced at just under 200. For what you are getting this is reasonable and fair.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI will start by saying for the price of 100 this is a really good mixer. I am incredibly fortunate to own a KitchenAid so I can review this compared to that, but still bear in mind this is approx one 6th of the price of a KitchenAid.
Assembly is really simple. The attachments provided are perfect to cover all bases. A paddle for cake batter, a large balloon whisk for meringues and cream, and a dough hook for kneading bread. These seem good quality but are not very weighty. There is also a rubber spatula included which comes in really helpful.
The product looks really smart once assembled and when plugged in the speed dial has a blue light around it which is a nice touch. As long as the surface is dry, the grip is good. But if there is any kind of moisture it does slide. Not while in use, but if you nudge it it will not stay in place.
Using the machine to make some cookie mix I noticed a few slight negatives. Firstly, it is incredibly noisy. I’d say twice as loud as the KitchenAid. Also, although it’s great that the splash guard goes all the way around the bowl, the hole to add your ingredients is just far too small. You’re lucky to get a slightly heaped tablespoon in there without making a right old mess. Lastly, due to the slightly narrow shape of the paddle I seemed to need to scrape the bowl down a little more than usual, but not to the point it was annoying. I expect this will vary on what is being made.
One thing I actually like more on this than the KitchenAid is the variation of speed. Rather than there being numbered settings that you click between, this dial can just be turned up and down as much or as little as required.
I hope this has helped with your purchase.

This is a very good looking machine with a good motor to drive it. Loads of different speeds (well 10).

My work top is granite and very smooth so the little rubber suction feet mean it stays very stable on the work top.

I also really like the stainless steel bowl. Very robust and easy to clean.

It is definitely not a Kenwood top of the range and there is nowhere to attach a blender or anything like that.

But, if you bake a lot this is a very cost effective machine. Particularly if you do not have a lot of space.

Great price for an effective and smart mixe

Golden Review Award: 24 From Our UsersWhen it comes to purchasing a budget mixer for under 100 there’s a lot of choice out there. However, after regularly using this one from Kichot for the last week or so, I have to say that this model does stand out from the crowd, and I’m well impressed with it. It not only looks good sitting on my kitchen worktop, it also does everything I require of it. In my experience, many of the mixers available in this price range are under-powered, quite often having motors of only 1000W – this one from Kichot features a reassuringly powerful 1300W motor, which allows it to cope with the toughest of doughs, whilst also being able to whisk plenty of air into egg whites for you to create those perfect meringues.

I decided to ‘christen’ this mixer by making a Victoria Sponge, and have captured parts of that process on the attached videos, which you’ll hopefully find useful. On one of the videos, I mention another cool feature of this mixer, which is that ‘planetary’ technology that enables the attachments to move further out towards the edge of the bowl for a more effective mix of the ingredients. I really enjoyed using this Kichot mixer. When it comes to operating electrical devices, I don’t like products boasting lots of features that I’ll never use, and/or ‘programmable’ options that I can’t get my head around. I much prefer simple, no-nonsense technology that I can use without thinking too hard about it. As far as I’m concerned, this mixer ideally suits my requirements, and ticks my FIVE boxes:

    1. Will it do ALL the tasks I bought it for?
    2. Is it EASY to operate?
    3. Is it reasonably priced?
    4. Will it look good in my kitchen?
    5. Can it be easily cleaned?

All I can add is that if you’re looking for a budget mixer (with a 2 year warranty) then this one from the Kichot brand is well worth your consideration. In my humble opinion, this is worth a 5 star rating any day of the week. Highly recommended!

    A practical & affordable mixer 👍

Golden Review Award: 19 From Our UsersI must say that I have never bought a Stand mixer but I bake a lot and mostly use my hand mixers for mixing cake ingredients and dough for Naan bread, samosas etc. I was looking for a stand mixer last Xmas but reviews of a well known brand in UK put me off.

This KICHOT brand Stand Mixer was offered on Amazon Vine Program and I was so excited to test it out sooner it was delivered.

First impressions from my wife and I were wow. It is made of solid metal housing and weighs a ton so it is sturdy as robust even at high speed mixing. It doesn’t move a bit. It has a 10L Stainless steel bowl that is polished to perfection from outside and inside has matt finish. It has 1800W Powerful motor to take on anything you throw at it. Yes it gets a bit noisy on higher speeds but that’s is acceptable for a Powerful machine as this.

Tilt head mixer comes with 3 detachable accessories all made of solid metal. There is a dough hook for my bread, Naan bread and pizza etc. I have just made a Naan bread for review purpose see pics.
Flat beater is also solid metal and I use it for my baking ingredients. I have baked a cake to test it out. See the pics uploaded.
Wire Whisk is also very well made which I have not tested yet but it will be used for Whisking eggs, cream and frosting etc.

I have a large family circle and when we call relatives over it’s like 25 people we need to cater. This Food mixer has high capacity bowl of 10L and power to mix ingredients with no fuss to accommodate batch baking for big family.

I am thrilled to have a machine that can accomplish any task with ease and cater for a large number of people. I am very impressed with the quality of the product and would definitely recommend it for catering as well as big families like mine.

Powerful and solid metal construction 10L stand mixer with 1800w power.

This is a really powerful mixer, firstly we used it to bake cakes, straight forward and the cover lid came in useful to stop flour dusting out everywhere already off to a good start, so we upped the challenge and decided to give pizza dough a go and it kneaded it with no effort, the dough hook glided through effortlessly and barely putting any pressure on the motor. I was very impressed at the size of the mixing bowl and that it has small knobs that lock into place to ensure it doesn’t loosen and the fact that the whisks get right to the edges enfolding all the mix saves the hassle of having to stop and mix by hand the bottom of the bowl. The quick release feature that lifts the tool is a great feature and stops messy hands covering the whole mixer. I absolutely love this mixer and it’s given me my love of baking back.

    Very powerful moto

I received this mixer free for an honest review.
I must first explain that being honest ive never had anything more than an old handheld electric whisk that i received when we married in 1985. Ive made thousands of cakes with my handheld mixer and used to watch Mary Berry or Bake off and was very jealous when they put all of their mixture inside of the bowl, turn on the switch and then walk away to do something else. But i never really thought i needed anything else other than my trusty hand mixer to not only make all of the familys cakes, pies, puddibgs etc but to also bake cakes for work which i sold at a very low price to raise money for charity.
Trouble is now im 58 and have dreadful arthritis in my hands, my baking days had drastically reduced and i found to my dismay i was buying shop bought cakes which were the size of buttons, dry tasteless and full of additives and no longer able to bake for work
When this arrived the first thing that struck me was the size of it… it’s absolutely huge. The bowl would easily take enough ingredients to make a 2 or 3 tired cake. Is beautiful shiny chrome so very stylish ( which is a good thing considering its too big to fit any of my cupboards so has to stay out on disllay on my worktop)
It has every attachment i could possibly need. The motor on it is so quiet compared to the pnematic drill noise from my old handmixer. The only bad thibg that i first thought of was the cost. Just under
200 seemed an awful lot of money for a mixer but then that is coming fronm someone who is not only 58 but who has been using something that cost around a fiver 36 years ago. Looking on the internet this seemed quite a competative price to similar mixers and most of them didn’t seem to be as big as this.
Would i pay out thay sort of money for it,yes i would if i had it as its now given me my old baking life back again and i no longer have to buy shop bought cakes again. Once we’re back in the office so will the cakes and i hope to be back here in another 36 years time reviewing another kitchen gadget telling everyone about my first stand mixer that was still going strong that had given me 36 years of service.

One very happy 58 year old bake

This stand mixer arrived well packaged in polystyrene in a very strong box. It comes with the mixer itself, a large stainless-steel bowl, a dough hook, flat beater, and wire whisk. It also comes with a silicone spatula and an egg separator.
The head tilts back very easily, and the splash guard pushes on and stays fixed with silicone strips; the splash guard also has an opening for adding extra ingredients during the mixing process. Four suction anti-slip feet work very well and stop the mixer moving during operation. The bowl is a good size at 4.5 L, and I love the handle as it makes it much easier to use than bowls that don’t have a handle. It’s a little noisy, but I would imagine most stand mixers make some noise, and the wheel that increases the speed (1-10 plus pulse) is very smooth. I like the little blue light around the wheel as well as it flashes when the mixer is turned on but not operational, so you can see if you’ve accidentally left it on.
I love this mixer. I’ve made fruit cake with it and the result was so much better than usual; it rose more than when I mix it by hand, and it was obviously so much easier. Making dough couldn’t be easier either and it can ‘knead’ the dough for much longer than I can when making bread by hand. The planetary mixing is great and seems to get to the edges of the bowl.
Please note – the beater attachment was attached to the front of the polystyrene. I thought the dough hook was missing, as another reviewer said but after finding the beater attachment on the front of the polystyrene, I checked the back, and there was the dough hook.

I couldn’t be happier with this mixer and know that I’ll be using it a lot.

    Great little mixe

    KICHOT Stand Mixer

This sturdy stand mixer is as bulky as most stand mixers in the market. I love how there are ten different speeds and a cover with it already, as most new models of mixers have nowadays.

There’s not so much noise using this machine, and I found the attachments relatively easy to put on and take off. If you keep the setting on the lowest before turning it on, you should be able to avoid a bigger mess on the cover, and it’s easier to clean. The bowl has a handle that makes it easier to use than some similar products in the market.

The base suction is so powerful that it won’t easily get lifted from the counter.

This stand mixer is probably the best option for moms who prefer to do everything in one spot. It’s a great buy in comparison to more expensive brands.

Overall, it is helpful when I bake goodies for my family. I find it recommendable.

    The great:
    1. A bit smaller than some mixers but if you don’t have tons of room it’s great.
    2. I’ve only used the whisk function but it was used for a few different things this weekend and I was really impressed with how quickly and smoothly it mixed things.
    3. Lots of child and sleepy adult safe features to stop you hurting yourself including a plastic guard that you can add bits through into the mix whilst it is on.
    4. Suction pads hold it firmly to your work surface and even on the max setting it didn’t move.
    5. Mixing bowl gets locked into place on the base.
    6. Mixer won’t start unless it is locked down properly- a good fail safe.

    The not so great:
    1. Box isn’t presentable so you couldn’t give this as a gift. It is a plain basic brown cardboard box.
    2. Dough hook is hidden in the packaging so you could easily miss it and throw it away if you weren’t careful.
    3. Mixing bowl is good but it isn’t the most robust.
    4. Pretty loud when above setting 3 but I’m not planning on watching tv whilst using it.
    5. Very short power cable which restricts where you use it.

I don’t have a particularly refined set of culinary skills which is something I’m looking to change. I didn’t have a mixer and was offered the opportunity to give this one a try.
It feels really well made and seems to be really powerful. The mixing functions sound nice and smooth and it doesn’t seem like the machine is struggling at all.
It’s really easy to operate and I really like the addition of the splash protector so you can add whatever you’ve forgotten while the machine is running.
The machine is pretty expensive but then it is a large capacity mixer and looking at the competition, it’s not too far from their pricing.
So far I’m happy with it, I just hope it gets enough use to justify the cost!

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersThis mixer is a bit of a chunky monster, it’s very heavy and takes up a lot of space on my work surface.
The weight is due to it being constructed from metal instead of plastic, making it very robust.
There’s no doubt that it’s a quality piece of kitchen equipment but only suitable if you’ve got the room and will take advantage of its features.
It comes with 3 attachments, whisk, beater and dough hook, so everything you need to mix the majority of
    Ingredients.
I can’t fault the performance, the rotation of the mixing head ensures all areas of the bowl are covered, so no stop/start to move unmixed ingredients in to the middle.
The suction feet keep it firmly in place even on the highest speed.
The large 10L bowl can seem vast if you’re mixing small quantities but comes into its own for bigger recipes and the splash guard means the work surface and tiles stays splash free.
For the size and quality it’s a really good price.
Hope you found my review helpful

A good stand mixer from one of the household names will usually set you back two hundred pounds or more, whereas this one from Kichot comes in at under half that. However, you wouldn’t expect to get Rolls Royce performance for a Mini price tag and this review should be read with that in mind.

The first noticeable thing about the Kichot is that it is nowhere near as heavy as some of its well-known competitors. This does mean that it tends to dance around a bit, particularly when working hard, for example when mixing dough. However, small rubber suction feet stop it from wandering across the work surface.

It is also quite noisy, reaching 88 decibels when whisking eggs and sugar at 80% speed.

These small issues aside, the Kichot performs really well with its powerful 1300Watt motor. Using its dough hook, it mixed and kneaded dough efficiently, producing a lovely smooth elastic dough which rose quickly and evenly, retaining its shape on proving. When baked, the bread was well risen with an open spongey texture.

When making a light whisked, fat-free sponge mixture with the wire whisk, the Kichot was also quick and efficient producing a good thick creamy mix after just three minutes.

Just one thing to watch out for and that is to ensure the mixer head is fully locked down before turning the mixer on.

Overall, I was really impressed with the performance of this mixer, particularly given its low price. It is set to get plenty of use in our kitchen.

Thank you for reading this review, I hope that you found it useful.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersDuncurin, with perhaps more than a little creative input being provided by her indoors, has been running up this super stand mixer, courtesy of Vine and Kichot.
It’s a lovely looking machine in white (other colours are available) but I liked the nice clean, shiny, smooth lines and no-fuss, yet sturdy construction. I also like the big rotary black control knob which is tactile and works really well. This allows you to select the speed and also provides a pulse function that operates as long as you hang on to the knob.
Of course, and as always, I want a longer flex but we managed to position the machine on a worktop that was near a socket. A proper UK plug is provided.
It has a lovely weight to it and I’m thinking for a machine like this, then, it can only be a good thing. It also has suckers that bond it to the worktop but in fairness these are barely needed as the machine seems stable and powerful. It’s a fairly big machine and please take note of the 8-litre mixing bowl. It was much larger than my wife’s existing stand mixer that we bought from Amazon 12-18 months ago. This machine also has a motor rated at 1800w.
For this reason, we thought we’d set it mixing a nice dough mix for Cinnamon buns. Please see some pics attached and hopefully, if there is space on Amazon servers, tee hee, a couple of videos.
On the higher speeds, then you are of course aware that it’s working but sound to me did not seem intrusive. More than this, it seemed stable at all times; there was no rockin’ or rollin’ and in — my favourite words (even better than longer flex: please) — just got on with it. The dough was mixed in no time and my wife was pleased with the ‘elasticity’ after a bit more hand-kneading. The rotating, planetary action didn’t miss a beat.
Attachments provided are: the beater, whisk and, as used above, the dough hook. All are light but easy to clean. Slotting them in is easy with an anti-clockwise bayonet push’n’twist. The manual and the stickers advise you only to do this when the machine is switched off, which of course is sensible though I liked the way the machine has a power-down function when the motor assembly is hinged up. This is also denoted by the nice blue rim of the control knob being extinguished. Lastly, there is the clear perspex bowl-cover with feeder slot for ingredients and a nice plastic spatula thingy. The latter is useful to make sure that none of your mix is wasted but the mixing process didn’t seem unduly wasteful and the nice non-stick surface of the dough hook meant we could retain most of the mix with little wastage. Returning to the clear bowl cover, this locates easily, securely and precisely. It allows you to add ingredients run the machine and you won’t have to wipe off the mix from your pinny, your best tie or the kitchen walls.
Clean-up is really easy and though the bowl is large it fits into the sink and I guess dishwasher easily enough. ** please note the manual clearly says that the accessories are NOT dishwasher safe and we presume this also applies to the stainless steel bowl. I always tend to wash such things by hand anyway as I think the dishwasher can cause critical utensils of all types to have a shortened life span. My wife thinks we should dock the machine 1 star for this, so I’ll leave it up to the reader.
All in all, this is a super machine. It’s powerful, has oodles of capacity, is easy to live with and goes about its work without drama or fuss. It’s the equal of any task set it. Please note the large size and it would probably be well received in a large household or one where bread, doughs and pizzas are regularly on the menu — what’s not to like?
The Cinnamon buns were done in no time. In the immortal words of Ernie, I asked my wife if we’d be having ‘hot rolls every morning and crumpets every night’ but she assured me that too many carbs are unwise in a man of Duncurin’s age! Happy mixing, anyway. A 5-star machine from the Duncurins. Please see some pics attached and Many Thanks for asking us to review, as always.

Golden Review Award: 19 From Our UsersThis large mixer has a large beater, a dough hook and large whisk. It also comes with a cover plate to avoid splashes and a small plastic egg separator and a spatula too. An instruction book is included.
The mixer is heavy and takes up quite a bit of space on a worktop, it has strong sucker-like feet which ensure it does not move about in use even with quite heavy loads of dough, which is good, but the suckers also mean that if you keep it on the worktop it is difficult to slide it forward when you want to use it. When the mixer is plugged in and in use there is a blue light on the speed switch.
Using the mixer is very straightforward. There is a silver-coloured lever on the right-hand side of the mixer, moving the bottom of this level forwards and upwards lifts the hinged arm up so that attachments can be inserted, ingredients can be easily added and the bowl cover can be attached. Use the same lever again to lower the head to its operating position. Be careful to lift the lever to its full height to raise or lower the arm or there is a grating noise as the arm moves.
To operate the mixer, just turn the large circular speed switch on the right hand side of the mixer. Turn the switch clockwise to move from speed one (slow) up to speed six. Turn it anti-clockwise and hold it there to pulse. The instructions clearly state the maximum time the mixer should be used for different operations so as to avoid overheating the motor. The motor is quite noisy in use.
I have tried whisking egg whites for meringue, using the beater for Victoria sponge and making tea cakes with the dough hook. The mixer performed well for all but was better when batch-baking rather than when using very small quantities.
The speed switch has a lot of ‘play’ in it. It will turn about an inch backwards and forwards before anything happens.
The attachments are inserted by pressing them up into a strong spring-loaded fitting. The dough hook has a circular plate at the top making it easy to insert, the whisk can be pushed up and twisted into place using the small centre plate but the beater has to be pushed up just using the beater itself and as the spring is new and very strong, it was a bit difficult to do.
The mixer is easy to clean, the bowl and attachments just go into hot soapy water in the sink, the mixer is easy to wipe over and although the ridged area under the bowl is a bit fiddly to clean, it is soon done.
I can recommend this mixer particularly for larger families and overall I think it is worth five stars. It appears strong and durable for family use (the leaflet with it states it is only for domestic use) and it appears to be good value for a mixer of its size. I think this is a really useful, strong mixer for anyone regularly needing to mix large quantities and who has sufficient space to keep this handy and ready to use on the worktop. It looks smart and the grey colour will fit in with many kitchen decors and it is also available in white and black.

    Smart and strong!

KICHOT Stand Mixer, 8L 1800W Powerful Metal Housing

I have to admit to never owning a stand mixer before, up until now I have either mixed by hand, or used a hand held electric mixer which can often become hard work. This stand mixer, currently priced at 198.99 seems to be in the mid price range bracket. What I did notice about this model whilst carrying out a little research, was that most other mixers seem to be in the 1000 – 1500 watt range. This KICHOT Stand Mixer has an 1800 watt motor, there seem to be only a handful of other mixers with offering that amount of power. Those are mostly more expensive than this model making this seem a good deal to me. The extra powerful motor should ensure this will mix even the heaviest of doughs.

The first thing I noticed about this was it’s weight, this is due to the amount of metal used in it’s construction. Some parts of the body are thick white plastic, but the important areas like the motor head at the top which houses the gearing system, along with electric motor are made from tough metal alloy. The advantage of having a heavy motor head which holds the rotating attachments, is that you can be sure the blades will remain in the mix, without it trying to jump out when mixing particularly heavy doughs and pastry.

Supplied with the mixer is a huge 8 litre stainless steel mixing bowl, this sits in a recess which is held securely in place by twisting and locking. This should prevent the bowl moving at any point until you physically twist and release it. The stainless steel bowl has an easy clean brushed interior, foods don’t appear to stick to this surface. There is a large stainless steel handle which is securely spot welded to the bowl.

There are enough attachments to mix all that you need whilst bread or cake making, the supplied attachments are: Dough Hook, Wire Whisk and Flat Beater. The attachments are made from metal alloy and stainless steel which are much more durable than plastic. Also provided is a transparent plastic cover, this slides over the motor head which keeps it firmly on top of the bowl whilst mixing, the cover is easily removed for cleaning. The plastic cover prevents any splashes or other mess when whisking more liquid contents.

There are 6 speeds available via the large rotating wheel on the side, you can set this for a gentle mix right up to powerful whisking speeds. On the underside of the main body are 5 suction feet which hold the mixer firmly in place whilst working, it should not creep across the worktop when working hard. I have tested this and it appears to keep the mixer firmly in place, although I haven’t tried a full 8 litre mix as we just don’t have that big a family.

As mentioned above, this is my first stand mixer. My first thoughts were, why on earth haven’t I purchased one of these before, it makes life so much easier in the kitchen. Cleaning up afterwards is a doddle due to the stainless steel bowl needing just a rinse and wipe over, the same can be said of the attachments.

I am really pleased with this, it is a powerful monster that will tackle with ease, anything that I care to throw at it. The beauty of this model is that you don’t have to mix large quantities as 8 litres is a huge amount to mix. The attachments on this mixer sit just off the bottom of the bowl, almost touching, so small amounts can be mixed too, making this mixer super versatile.

This is so easy to use: Lock the bowl in place by rotating the bowl, add ingredients, slide the cover onto the motor head (if needed), twist and lock the selected attachment onto the shaft, lower the motor head down until it locks in place, then select your mixing speed via the large rotating dial.. that’s it! Along with the 6 available speeds there is also a pulse setting, just nudge the dial towards the ‘P’ mark and the mixer will momentarily start each time the dial is nudged.

I have wanted a stand mixer for a very long time, I am more than happy with this model, in fact I’m highly delighted with it. The build quality is top rate in my opinion, it’s very heavy too, which along with the suction feet hold this firmly in place on the worktop. So far this has dealt with everything I have thrown at it without out even blinking, it just does.

In my opinion this is a super mixer for the money – Highly Recommended!

Powerful 6speeds 1800W motor! Solid and balanced aluminium body. Really nice build quality and close finish. Safety features all right, same as release mechanism. Easy, intuitive to operate, easy to clean 8 Litre mixing bowl .Overall very nice product esthetics and simple design. Noise output while mixing at higher speeds is within specification and not mega loud. Decent and safe packaging just maybe considering worth adding few extra air bags would secure the product even more and assure quality delivery 100%. Mixer definitely worth consideration. Personally recommend. Thanks.

This isn’t intended as a cheaper replacement of a commercial build and power mixer. For me it’s great if you’re an occasional user wanting easier cake/bread mixing, butter making and so on. I am that person and I had zero problems with this machine.

Maybe the red is a tad garish and plastic for me, but it’s small enough (just!) to go away in a spare kitchen cupboard. TBH there was no huge difference using this and my old Kenwood, which a bit more industrial scale. But as I say, I am a light user. On that basis, I’d say build is generally about right, noise likewise and functionality/tools all perfectly Ok.

There are similar models, cheaper ‘no brand style’ and also way more pricey options. This one seems to fit somewhere in between. It could be a winner for you. I’d say 4****.

This stand mixer has a huge bowl and can definitely handle family-sized recipes. There’s a dough hook, beater and a whisk. It’s simple to use and has a splatter protector that fits easily to the arm. Things like the rubber feet and carefully designed bowl (no nooks or crannies to accumulate dirt even on the base), and fact that there are 6 speeds plus pulse, really give this the feel of a high end machine. It is big and heavy though – measure carefully for storage. Design wise it’s quite basic looking – the word I’d use maybe is inoffensive. Pleased it’s not too loud and it mixes everything really well. The little lever to release the arm is perhaps a
More fragile than I would like – plastic not metal, but apart from that I can’t really fault it. It does a great job and I’m really pleased with it.

First off this is a very attractive, well put together and highly effective mixer. My only quibble to be fair is pricing. Check the market for similarly powerful and high quality options and you’ll find as I did the excellent KICHOT is looking around 30-40 more expensive than the competition.

It does have a fabulous, contemporary Alu body and maybe that makes it worth it. This big machine will fit in a contemporary home easily. Function wise it offers pretty much the same as any table top, home use mixer. Everything feels scaled up tho. The tools are huge compared to my old mixer. Not just the tools are a surprise, but the motor is smooth as silk and never feels at all like it’s overworking or particularly irritating noise wise.

The obvious stuff for me to test is a basic bread dough and then some butter from organic cream. Yup, both are so simple. The speed dial and the open close are smooth. It feels effortless work. I like the large opening in the plastic splash protector; you can add stuff as you are working.

I think overall feel of this mixer is such that you’ll immediately your cooking and baking skills have increased. The KITHOT makes for an easy time and you can relax and feel everything mix wise is well covered. This is a family mixer. If you want a smaller and less powerful machine then look down the range. Not everyone will need a machine like this.

I’d say this is 5***** for build, looks and function and 4**** for price. Only you can decide if it’s worth the money. I kinda like it a lot despite the price.

The mixer comes with two nozzles (though after reading the order there should be three nozzles, there is no hook), a bowl and a protective rim, a spatula and an egg white separator. The product was packaged well. The bezel is made of durable plastic, the bowl is made of durable silver-colored metal. The bezel is easy to remove and is designed to avoid splashing. Conveniently sized bowl suitable for both home use and amateur professional chefs. The bowl is fairly easy to install and remove. Fastening takes place thanks to the recesses. The kit contains instructions, you can figure out how the mixer works without instructions. Everything is so simple and concise with him that even a child can handle it. The mixer is quite lightweight, but very stable in design, has 4 legs and stands motionless on the work surface during operation. The set includes 2 attachments: a whisk attachment, a paddle attachment (for kneading liquid dough. To knead thick dough, you will have to buy a hook attachment. The attachments are made of very high quality metal. Allows you to change the attachment or, for example, remove the bowl. Speed mode. Well here it is not much different from a hand mixer. This is a real freedom for the pastry chef. It switches smoothly, thanks to the lever. I want to note that the mixer works quietly, it is very convenient to use the mixer, I am delighted with such an assistant.

Golden Review Award: 20 From Our UsersKICHOT Stand Mixer, 10-Speed Kitchen Electric Food Mixer, 1300W 4.5L Tilt Head Mixer with Dough Hook, Flat Beater, Wire Whisk and Splash Guard (Black)

I have always wanted one of these after learning to use a similar style one as a child when baking with my mother. So I was super excited when this came up as a review option.

4 strong suction pads stop this from slipping on the kitchen surface, the big mixing bowl is good for large quantities of mixture; the bowl is easy to twist into the locked position. The splash guard pushes up onto the housing quite easily and is held with soft silicon strips; it has a hole for spooning in ingredients while the machine is running, for instance sugar, while making my meringues. I used the whisk for my first trial, it fixes easily into place with a push and turn action.

There is a side lever to raise and lower the mixing arm. The speed dial lights up blue when plugged in, there are 10 speeds and a pulse option. I usually use an electric hand whisk for meringues, which means holding the machine for the duration of mixing, this stand mixer allowed me to walk away and let the machine do the work alone, which was great. It didn’t take long to make a very good meringue mix.

The motor and top half of the mixer did become quite warm while it whisked the mixture at top speed. There is an air-vent for the motor at the top right of the arm. It cooled down well after use.
The electric lead is approximately 90cm long. This comes with 3 attachments: Whisk, dough hook and flat beater.

Other points: When unpacking, note that the dough hook is taped to the underside of one of the polystyrene pieces (I almost missed seeing it). In addition the mixer also comes with a silicon spatula and a plastic egg separator strainer. The strainer didn’t work as well as I had hoped, there was still egg white left with the yoke, but this is a minor concern as it is an extra item.

    Very good item, would recommend.

    This made fantastic meringues
