Our chisels (chisels, chisels) are forged by hand from a special tool steel. Thanks to the forging process, the material structure of the >>Kirschen<< chisel is improved again. The heat treatment in the salt bath generates a hardness of ± HRc 61 over the entire usable length of the blade and is thus significantly above the requirements of the German DIN. A self-developed polishing technique creates a groove-free surface that allows a smooth cut and easier immersion into the wood. From the factory, our chisels are manufactured with a cutting angle of 25°. This angle is ideal for soft to medium-hard wood. However, before the chisel comes to its first use, it should be worked with a sharpening stone to have the blade razor sharp for the first use. To be able to work successfully with the chisel for many years, we recommend that you clean the tool with a slightly oily cloth after each use. The applied oil film protects the chisel from moisture and therefore against rust. As a result, the service life and the joy of the tool are significantly extended.

Ich kann diese Stemmeisen uneingeschrnkt empfehlen und wer handwerklich arbeiten kann und wei was zu tun ist, wird dem zustimmen.
Den einzigen Kritikpunkt den ich habe, ist der Preis aber sie sind es tatschlich wert.
Ich war und bin mit meinen bisherigen Stemmeisen (auch ein Premium Markenprodukt) sehr zufrieden, die Kirschen Stemmeisen sind nach meiner Erfahrung einen Hauch besser, weil sie eine Spur lnger durchhalten bis sie wieder geschrft werden mssen und weil die Schneide weniger in Mitleidenschaft gezogen wird. Wo die “alten” Stemmeisen schon ziemlich laut nach “schrf mich” schreien, schneiden die Kirschen noch etwas mehr.
Man kann natrlich auch mit Baumarkt-Noname-Stemmeisen gut arbeiten, darf aber nicht enttuscht sein, wenn fr schrfen und polieren mehr Zeit aufgewendet werden muss, um akkurat zu arbeiten. Die Stemmeisen von Kirschen haben dabei den schnen Vorteil nicht nur wirklich akkurat zu sein, sondern die Schrfe nur sehr moderat zu verlieren. Es kndigt sich also ber ein en lngeren Zeitraum an, dass nicht mehr so schn quer zu Faser geschnitten wird, es braucht ber die zeit nur unwesentlich mehr Kraft. Je schner und feiner gearbeitet werden muss desto lnger hat man Zeit nachzuschrfen, um in der gewohnten Schneidequalitt weiterzumachen.
A very nice set. Arrived on time, had to sign for the package, that was a safety aspect. Nice feel in the hand, they are very sharp. The only minus point, a very minor one, that was the quality of the packaging they came in, as I was putting them in a dedicated box, I just ditched the package.

Gli scalpelli sono fatti con un ottimo acciaio anche se quelli che mi son arrivati avevano alcuni segni di usura ma l’assistenza di Amazon ha prontamente risolto la situazione.
Gli scalpelli sono da affilare e per questa operazione vi consiglio l’eccellente set della Veritas MKII M0901 – Guida di molatura rinvenibile sul sito di amazon. It. Con l’uso di adeguate pietre;
(su YouTube vi sono tantissimi tutorial in merito).
Il manico ha delle faccette che rendono la presa pi salda e meno faticosa e come potete vedere dalle foto, la parte finale del manico in acciaio.
La custodia pessima ed inadeguata ma potete rimediare con la custodia dedicata in legno della stessa marca e potreste pensare a questa soluzione sempre su Amazon .it:

OK, if you want them really sharp you gotta do a little work, but that is the case with nearly every chisel out there. These are a just a solid, dependable chisel – good value for your money. Recommend.
Steht Kirsch drauf und ist so gut wie man es von Kirsch erwartet.

As I have read on several other reviews, these chisels need to be leveled on the back. It appears that the polishing process used by Kirschen to create that famous shine is the main downfall as it rounds the edge on the flat side.
I ended up spending half my afternoon leveling the backs on each blade. Some were worse than others.
The steel is excellent and holds a razor edge really well. I can attest to the hardness rating due to how long they took to true up.
They are undoubtedly beautiful chisels and I’m sure they will last a lifetime of use.
Recommended only if you are willing to put the time in to finish off Kirschen’s job.
