Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersLove it, quiet motor, efficient – even with small quantities, sturdy, easily wiped clean, good variation of speed control and lot of attachments can be purchased to enhance the range of jobs. 3 attachments come as standard – balloon whisk, dough hook and K beater. Value for money from this retailer – amazing price, I am very satisfied with my purchase

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI bought this for my Mum as baking is her passion. She compared it to her previous mixer(which was good!) as going from “driving a mini all your life to now driving a rolls royce!” So there you have it!

Probably. These are good, but a lot more expensive in the UK than a Kenwood Chef. I’ve used both and I think they are equally effective, at least for bread making. The plastic covering on the dough hook peeled off prematurely, but Amazon – God Bless them! – replaced it without a murmur. I’ve no idea about the longevity, as I’ve only had mine a few months.
Go look at them both, and make sure you think this is worth the extra money

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our Usersyes its expensive, yes you are paying for the brand, but it does do a good job. The knobs seem a little flimsy and I don’t know if they will last “forever” so we shall see. its not the largest mixer on the market but it works well in a home kitchen for a hobby baker like me. I prefer it to the other 2 cheaper mixers I have had in the past.

I’ve wanted one of these for ages, as I’m keen on baking. This is a very good quality mixer, very heavy base which is great for stability. Still exploring the different tools that came with it, but very pleased with the look and quality of the machine and it does what it’s supposed to effortlessly. I was lucky enough to get it at a very good price, so pleased all round with this purchase.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI got my first KitchenAid over 20 years ago and it’s still going strong. I used to use one of those little hand mixers with the removable beaters – I think I gave them all to charity. I bought one of these for my mother and she absolutely loved it. This is the only mixer you’ll ever need – it’s heavy so when it’s pounding away at a dough ball it stays put. With a 4 liter bowl, you could make several cakes or a ton of cupcakes at once. And it makes whipped icing or whipped creme easily and perfectly. I didn’t realize there were so many attachments for the motor – ice cream, pasta, sausage? Who knew? Great American product, yay.

This is in constant use in my kitchen and I can’t do without it! Only wish the bowls with handles had been standard at the time but the price was such a good deal how can you complain. It is met with many a jealous look when friends visit.

Wonderful machine, can’t believe that the fitting of my mom’ kitchen aid of 50+years ago still fit a new machine (th motor finally gave up the ghost). Proof enough that a KItchen Aid is and has been such an excellent product there is no need for a complete make over that renders all past models obsolete. Thanks.

The machine is well made and does everything it says it should do, but my only concern is that the top can be lifted up whilst it is in lock mode. I don’t know if there is any easy way of rectifying this problem.

This is a very good mixer. The build quality is excellent. It is quiet and handles every mixing task we can throw at it. Although it is tempting to go for one of the pretty coloured ones, the price that Amazon offered is very competitive. This classic white model is so much cheaper with more or less the same accessories (the bowl is slightly smaller without a handle) and fitted within my budget. It also looks great in the kitchen.
Overall,we are happy with the purchase and the speedy Amazon service.

After watching a TV demonstration for the Kitchen Aid I decided to go back to the stand mixer. I know it is an expensive item but I do not regret its purchase in any way. Does everything it sais. Quiet to run. Powerful and makes great cakes ! Looks good too. I cannot think of any negatives for this machine…….At the moment !!!!

Golden Review Award: 20 From Our UsersWe opted for the cheaper and classic version of the Kitchen Aid and are happy with the purchase. I like to bake on the weekends so didn’t need the bigger version but it weighs a fair amount so bend your knees if moving it about.

The only issue I would point out is that on the neck of the mixer you will see a pin (clear in the picture also). This pin works it’s way out when you turn the settings up with the vibrations clearly move the pin which is responsible for keeping the neck together. It’s easy to push back in but I still find this annoying considering we paid the amount we paid for this.

Other than that, I love it and it should last a lifetime!

I’ve wanted one of these mixers for a long time, but was put off by price. Saw it for 260 and decided to go for it. I love baking, and this just makes it so easy. I use it several times a week, so am getting my money’s worth from it. Would definitely recommend.

Why would anyone buy the Artesan for 200 more? This does everything an avid baker could wish for. The bowl size is more than adequate for my family of 5. It’s pretty quiet, mixes and beats to a high standard – merengues were a dream and bread is lighter than ever. And it looks smart left out on the work top.

Golden Review Award: 152 From Our UsersI had this machine for over 5 years and during that time I had no problems with reliability at all. I feel it is important that anyone wishing to buy this machine is aware of the fact that the machine is a little bit smaller than the type usually on display in shops (the artisan type)so bear this in mind if you like to make large batches. I used this machine mainly to make bread as it creates much less mess and I haven’t got popeye’s arms ! although it was a lot easier the machine really does struggle with wetter doughs and finds it hard work on the motor( though as mentioned I had no problems with reliability) this is the only reason I am giving it a 4/5 so if you are looking to use it often for bread I would by a more powerful machine with a bigger bowl (I will add a review for the machine I upgraded to the kitchenaid heavy duty) if your using it for cakes however I would say go ahead its a great machine (by the way I sold mine on ebay and got my money back in full! fantastic!) if you found my review helpfull please click yes below!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI contemplated this purchase over days and days. I checked out every other product on the market. I wanted to try and keep the expense to a reasonable level for my purse and decided to plunge in and get this one. I’m sooo glad I did. It’s made of fantastic quality…not plastic! It weighs a ton but that’s something I actually love.
The motor sounds ridiculously powerful but it’s NOT noisy, you can feel the power of the machine. The attention to detail is superb, really I cannot fault this machine.
I wish I could have bought the top of the range, but that’s not because this one is lacking. It’s just that as I’m so impressed and love this, I’d love to experience what the best of the best is like!!

Mixes, kneads and whisks to perfection. The machine itself is solidly assembled and comes with a set of basic mixing implements – whisk, beather and dough hook. The range of accessories available is wonderfull and for those who watch Paul Hollywood and Mary Berry in the great British Bake Off – KitchenAid is the de facto standard.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI’ve wanted this mixer for ages, and am delighted now I have it – the motor is very quiet, and the weight of the mixer means it stays still while it does all the hard work for me, so I can produce great baking without aching arms. I made space on the work top for a permanent place for it due to the weight, so it’s always ready to use.

But now I have lots of grandchildren make THEM lots of things, looks great on the side and works like a dream.I have bought the bigger bowl to go with it as I find the smaller bowl good for mixing cream, and liquids, but have to say flour mixtures can fly all over the place.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI purchase my Kitchenaid, just over a week ago. It is wonderful. I made a Victoria Sandwich and filled it with whipped creme frais and chopped strawberries. The sponge was so light, that I took a picture and sent it to my Daughter, who also has a kitchenaid. She lives in the States. I invited her to pop round for a cup of tea and piece of cake. She laughed and said that her daughter had asked who had had the big piece! A wonderful piece of kitchenware and I am thrilled.

I absolutely love my mixer, I never ever buy pasta from the shops now, I think there’s something in dried pasta that upsets my stomach, so being able to make fresh pasta very quickly is a god send as I love pasta! I have the pasta making attachments too which makes the task quick and simple to do.
Cake making is a breeze too, I’m no good at bread making although its not my mixers fault, it does its job wonderfully.
The price of these kitchenAid mixers put people off, but I think they are worth the money. The build is very strong, being made of metal, they are heavy and sturdy and the motor is very reliable mixing and kneading without effort. When I’m using my pasta attachment the motor can be on for half an hour if I’m making a big batch and there’s no sign of over heating it just goes on and on and I’m confident enough with my machine that I let it work for as long as I need it.
I wasn’t sure how much I’d use it and would it be worth spending so much when I could buy something cheaper, but I use it a lot and yes it was worth spending the extra dosh, I know it’s going to last.

The buttercream also seems to be smoother and shinier in this bowl (not sure if that is a scientific fact!) I would really recommend this.
Also dont be fooled byt he artisan model, yes the bowl is bigger and it has a higher WATT, but it really isnt worth the extra 200.

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersI have wanted one of these machines for ages but couldn’t quite justify the price tag. But after my cheap mixer let me down at a crucial point I decided to research thoroughly the best product to replace it. I spent over 2 weeks searching and reading as many online reviews as I could find. Both personal and professional reviewers eg WHICH, Good Housekeeping etc and I finally decided to take the plunge. I am so glad I did. It is everything I hoped it would be and more. On the day it was delivered I opened the box set it up and 3 hours later was eating fresh date and apricot bread. And since then I have used it daily for all sorts of recipes and everything has turned out beautifully. Don’t hesitate. Just buy it.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersBeen a keen baker for a number of years but always used a hand mixer. This machine is a real time saver but I am having to adjust a little. It produces a very even texture and I have been using the slowest speed for ‘folding’ when making fatless sponges. Not a 100% happy with my results yet otherwise I would have given 5 stars Definitely not disappointed though and expect to master its nuances.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersThis would have rated 5 stars if the bowl had a handle. The reason for purchase was because my hands aren’t up to all that stirring, whisking, kneading any longer. Which also makes handling the bowl, especially when it’s heavy with contents, extremely difficult without a handle. I know it is possible to purchase a glass bowl with handle but at a ridiculous price for what it is. Having said all that, I am now back into baking wonderful light sponges and have just made the best meringues ever with the aid of my KitchenAid. I believe I will have my money’s worth out of this piece of equipment – it’s good and solid, not too noisy, and easy to clean. A very welcome addition to my kitchen.

Golden Review Award: 41 From Our UsersI received this just the other day and it is lovely.
It is very heavy but I think thats a good thing as it shows to me that it is a solid well made piece of equipment.
I thought that I would try my hand at breadmaking with my new KitchenAid, was amazed at the results, beautiful soft lovely bread first time. So easy, just chuck in all the ingredients and let the mixer do the work. I will never use my breadmaker again, the results just dont compare.
It is very white but will fit in with most kitchens I think.
Very retro looking and absolutley feels bulit to last. I would have liked a black one but I was not willing to put up the best part of another 200 for a colour. I agree with other reviews that the Classic does the job perfectly so i think it is better value than the Artisan.
I will be using this at least 3 times a week for my bread and the odd cake, oh and I believe it does killer mash so will have to try that.
BTW, I got mine as a warehouse deal, damaged box so 236, nothing wrong with it at all! Thank you Amazon.

Golden Review Award: 20 From Our UsersYes we love her so much that we have named her. Very easy to operate and to change attachments. Have used her mostly for kneading dough, which is a vast improvement on 10 mins of hard graft plus cleaning up the mess afterwards. Also used for cake batter and the result was a much lighter cake than by hand-mixing. After 6 months use to date, no mechanical or technical issues. Very pleased and would recommend to anyone, especially as it was 100ish cheaper than an Artisan, the only difference we can see being a smaller bowl and slightly less powerful motor – neither of which have been an issue to us.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersSo pleased with this item. Decided to buy Classic and I am delighted I did. It meets my needs for cakes, waffles and excellent mashed potato. I know self indulgent, but boy does it make light work of mash!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersUntil now, I’ve always made cakes by hand or with a hand mixer. Having recently started a small baking business, I decided to pluck up for some proper equipment. How I ever did without this one, I don’t know! What a beauty. Whipping up egg whites is a breeze, and my cakes have increased in volume by at least a third; it saves a lot of time. Amazing. I would have liked to get the raspberry red colour, but hey, an extra 179 for a chosen colour is money I could invest elsewhere. This one works just fine. Love it.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI like it very much, the only crit I have of it (only minor) is that I find it a bit fiddly removing the the beaters. I had a Kenwood Chef before which was easier in that respect.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersI have been wanting one of these for a LONG time but could never justify the cost. Big mistake! Over the last 2 years I’ve worked my way through 4 cheap models (3 hand held mixers & 1 stand mixer) and the combined cost of those would virtually have paid for this one.
So happy with it I wish I’d just done it sooner and saved a lot of money, time and frustration. Very sturdy, mixes wonderfully, great for pastry (makes the whole process even quicker). I use it at least 5 times a week for something or other. It’s easy to clean and looks great. Part of the family now and will probably last forever.
Only slight down is that I had really wanted the gorgeous deep blue colour but definitely could not justify spending the extra 100+ just for the colour, shame. Not sure why a different colour should increase the cost by so much.
If you’re wavering about purchasing this mixer because of the price I feel that it is a false economy to buy cheap, save a little longer and go for this one! Happy cooking…

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI finally pressed confirm your order after months of deliberation as to whether I should get a kitchenaid. It was reading previous reviews that tipped the balance and it is amazing.I am a general baker having used a cheap supermarket hand mixer previously. The recipes I have done have been great and I am still learning to convert my time tested recipes to the free standing mixer, just being able to leave it mixing ie.butter and sugar when it becomes amazingly light so if your doubtful dont hesitate and as a bonus it looks wonderful and stylish.

Excellent piece of equipment. Looks well and is very very solid and does what it says on the tin. We have used it for well over a year now and are very happy with it.

It is really quite an amazing machine, makes wonderfully light dough, and for cake making it brings an end to curdling eggs when added on the lowest speed.
I am in love with it and it is very easily cleaned.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersThis mixer is a sturdy, well engineered piece of kitchen equipment and I am delighted with it. Not only does it do a good job but it is very quiet in the process, a big plus for me as I hate noisy equipment. It is heavy so doesn’t move around the worktop when it is in use. Not one to heave in and out of a cupboard, mine stands proudly on my workbench ready for action. I now make bread in it rather than kneading totally by hand. I knead it in the mixer first and then tip it out onto my board and do a final hand kneading and the results are great. So far it has not failed to do a good job on any task I have given it.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI bought this mixer for 149. What a bargain!! So glad I did- it makes excellent cakes and pizza dough with no effort at all. It makes a very satisfying and quality sounding whirr when you switch it on and the results are great. I haven’t got a big kitchen but this is not for putting in a cupboard, this is for using- never mind the weight gain, just enjoy!!! Absolutely love it!!!!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI have hummed and hawed about getting one of these machines for a very long time. I finally succumbed a couple of months ago when Amazon had it on offer at an outstanding 150 – and after asking a friend who already owns one, and hasn’t shut up about him in the two years she’s had him (he’s called Stanley!). I’ve already got a pretty powerful Magimix, but this is a completely different beast – whenever I turn it on, I can’t quite believe the wierd-looking beater is going to work, but so far its done exactly what I’ve wanted it to. Its’ biggest advantage over the magimix though is that it’s SO easy to clean – just a smooth bowl and a blade or whisk. I think at it’s current price, I’d probably be tempted to upgrade to the artisan, but I really can’t fault the Classic, and although I can see how the pouring spout would be useful, I can live without it.

Golden Review Award: 120 From Our UsersI love the way it looks in my kitchen and have been known to blow kisses at it, but don’t tell anyone, ok?

I have three small boys and as you can probably imagine, I don’t have time to waste! However with my beautiful KitchenAid Classic mixer, it is so easy to whip up some pancakes for breakfast, fairy cakes (and buttercream icing) for the boys to decorate, a lemon meringue pie for dessert and bread. Lots of gorgeous home made bread. I have the mixer do all the hard kneading work, then I put the dough in the oven to prove while I pick up the boys from school. Then when I get home, I can shape my loaf, get the kids organised with their homework while the bread proves a second time and then in the oven to bake for their tea. Who needs a bread machine? It’s really easy to clean after use, too.

I’m sure most of us would love to choose a trendy colour but let’s face it, white is neutral so will go with most kitchen decors and the price is well worth it.

Keep an eye out for when Amazon has this on sale. I got mine for half price and free shipping Christmas time 2007. Then a couple of weeks later got the KitchenAid spatula for half price too. What a deal. 🙂

    Signed, Richard’s Wife. 😉

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersSince my Kitchenaid Mixer came to live with us we have had two or three home baked cakes each week – mostly with suitable frostings ! So easy – just hurl the butter and sugar in and while these mix sort out the flour and eggs then chuck them in. Easy peasy ! The mixer is really substantial and easy to clean and makes a stylish partner to my Aga which has never been ‘fed’ so well.
