I was recently given a water butt for my garden but it came without a tap. I saw this and jumped at the chance to try it out. It’s perfect. Really easy to fit and it’s completely water tight and a good fit. Excellent value.
This is a top quality tank tap with all the fittings being solid and of good materials. Positive handle and tap action and choice of end connection. All in all good value for a good product.
i got this for my hose its good value, very sturdy brass tank fitting, its very easy to install and comes with a water tank tap and the valves and a garden hose connector its leakproof.
I ordered this to use on an Aquaroll water container that I use on my garage to wash my car and motorcycle (no access to running water). The idea was to have an easy connection for my pressure washer. However, unfortunately this doesn’t fit on either of the two container fill points, so I can’t use it.
That being said, I am obliged to review the item and tell others what I think. The build quality is top notch, and just what I would expect of it. The brass fittings are solid and appear will made. Everything fits together perfectly, and I would have been very happy to make good use of it. There isn’t much more I can add. I’m disappointed that I couldn’t use this, but I’m happy to recommend it to others. Not for an Aquaroll though!

This is a good value set of outdoor tap parts. Was excellent for me as my outside tap had a larger thread and needed an adapter to fit a hose pipe. This came with a part that was perfect.
I received this tank fitting for free as part of the Amazon Vine Programme.
Our outside tap was leaking so this was perfect to replace our old fitting! It came packaged nicely and although there weren’t any instructions it seemed easy enough to fit. It is a very nice design and makes the tap look nice and tidy.
A decent tap that’s put together reasonably well and appears to be quite robust

This 2″ coarse thread tap adapter fits our IBCs perfectly. Easy to attach a hose to. The end is also removable if you wanted to swap it out for a quick release hose fitting. The ball valve works smoothly. No leaks. Good inexpensive product that works well.
I did not use this for its intended purpose. I used this tap to fit onto a 200 litre blue barrel to create a water butt. Upon drilling the hole at the bottom of the barrel the tap fitted in nicely however the black plastic fitting would not screw on as the tap thread was not long enough. As I had no other connectors to secure the tap I attacked the black plastic connecter with a sander. 10 minutes later I had the tap fitted securely! So far no leaks at all from the tap and the handle is so easy to turn on/off. The inclusion of a nut as an alternative to the black plastic screw would be of great benefit.
This is just what I needed. I want to fit a decent quality tap to the water butt which I feed into my wildlife pond, it’s much better to keep it topped up with rain water as opposed to that from the tap. This tap is excellent, it’s very well made and it looks to be robust – unlike my existing water butt tap, this one will outlast the actual water butt.
This won’t be a ‘straight swap’, I’ll need to do a couple of simple modifications to what was the IBC tap fitting but that really won’t take long to do – I’ll use that as the ‘nut’ to secure the tap to the butt. I’m very impressed wit the quality of this tap, at the time of my review it would cost you 11.89 which is a fair price.

I used this to fit to a big water barrel we have outside. It was fitted for my mum as her dexterity isn’t that great anymore so the big handle was essential.
I’ve used similar taps in catering and they’re always very reliable. There’s ussualy a ball bearing type open close valve so leaks are very rare.
This is a piece of cake to fit just remove the cover on your water butt (or drill a hole if applicable) then screw in the tap and 2 inch adaptor if needed.
It operates smoothly and easily and the spout has adapters for hose connection to. Because it’s brass it shouldn’t rust and will last a good while.
This brass tap was just the job to replace a broken plastic tap on a large water butt. Once the water butt was emptied, we removed the broken tap and although my partner had to contort himself to get into the butt, I was able to hold the brass tap steady while he screwed it in. The result is a tap on the water butt that works far better than the one that came with the unit, and is incredibly easy to turn off and on. I am thrilled with it and as we have another 7 water butts around the garden I am very tempted to replace them all – the new tap “feels” much more resilient than the old plastic one

I have used this brass fitting on one of my water storage butts, it is one that collects the rainwater that I then use for watering the garden.
The tap is brass and is so much better than the old plastic fitting that I had. The fittings are sturdy and well made and the pack comes with a small roll of PTFE tape to ensure good deals.
This is a very good connection for hose pipes as it has a snap-lock fitting. You don’t need to use the plastic section as this can be fitting to an outside tap and again would be much easier to use than having a small tap to twist on and off. The handle is strong and ideal to use when you are wearing gardening gloves.

If you have a 3″ (not fine thread) outlet this tap fitting will screw onto it allowing you to open and close the flow.
It’s well made, plastic 3″ “lid” has a brass tap fitting that ends in a standard fitting with hose adapter.
There’s even a small roll of PFTE (plumbers) tape to make sure you have a water tight seal.
This is a good size and works well. Easy to set up couldn’t fault.
The tap will replace the screw top on various tanks and allow total control over the flow. It could also be adapted to fit most water butts given the correct size hole or adaptors. The tap has a very positive, easy action with its single lever. Supplied with a dinky roll of PTFE a bargain at 14 and well worth five stars…

The threaded adaptor is made from thick dense plastic and has a rubber seal in a seat on the inside face. The hole is threaded for the tap, which is fitted with an O-ring that sits behind the hexagonal spanner faces. The tap is a solid brass casting, nickel plated. The long lever has a rubber dipped grip, and operates the spherical valve through ninety degrees of rotation. The outlet is threaded and is provided with alternative hose and quick-release fittings. It’s well-made, and the only difficulty might be in aligning the tap once fitted. I am doubtful that the 0-ring will provide a long-term seal in this position, but the provided PTFE tape used on the metal thread should help, and will allow adjustment of the tap orientation as well.
Used this on a large water tub in the garden which catches the rain. The tap is useful to get the water out easily and use in the garden! The tap is good quality, easy to use and fit. Has a lever to turn on and off as opposed to a normal twisty handle. Comes with PTF tape to give a good seal. Everything you need is included except the drill to make a hole! Good value for money.
Fitted to our IBC in our field no issues, gives a steady stream, the stoppers prevent over opening/free flow. The brass is nicely finished and the gaskets all seem water tight. Just the Job.
This kit comes with the tap off the large IBC tank connector. You get PTFE tape for the metal to plastic seal when you screw the tap in. This is quite important, as there is a rubber seal from tap to IBC connector, but if you need to slacken it off to point downwards, the PTFE tape will prevent leakages.
The IBC connector is a coarse thread.
There are two connectors for the tap outlet – standard Hoselock and plain hosepipe, with rubber washers for both.
The tap has a quarter turn and the ball valve works perfectly, with no drips. It’s easy to operate with gloves and isn’t overly stiff, this can be adjusted somewhat if you prefer.

Strong and reliable construction. Installs very quickly and securely. The kit includes everything you need for installation, which is very beneficial, you do not need to buy anything. A very convenient thing, it just suited me for my summer cottage for storing a water tank. I advise!

Came in a bubble-wrap packet, includes the ball valve, spare O-ring, 2 hose fittings (push fit and friction fit), threaded tank lid / cap and even a tiny roll of PTFE tape for the threads. Easy to fit, parts just screw together, fits most types of barrels, tanks, water buts etc. The two hose fittings allow for the push fit clip-on type or the push on with jubilee clip type. Both have O-ring. The ball valve is of good quality and has a lever to operate rather than the normal multi-turn gate valve. There is already an O-ring on the back of the valve, but kit also includes a spare.
My barrel is full now so unable to fit without dumping lots of water, so I tested it on my outside garden hose water supply. Extremely easy to fit, used the supplied PTFE tape around the threads of the valve, screwed it in and turned the water supply on. No leaks or drips from either the connection or through the valve.
Nice replacement kit, quick operation due to the leaved ball valve.
My outside tap was leaking and I got this tap and used you tube to see if I could change it myself. I am no plumber and a DIY with basic skills at best. It was a half inch as this was. The old tap was a traditional looking one. I managed to get that one off and out this one in with a bit of struggle. It is a solid well made tap. It works well and has the attachments required for the hose etc. Success, so far. No signs of leaks but early days and if there is, I think that will be down to my plumbing skills or should I say, lack of them! Good controllable tap, very easy to turn on and off. Will it last? I think so but only time will tell.
1/2 inch brass IBC tank fitting. Thankfully I already had a fitting on my tank so I simply screwed that one out and placed this one on with a little bit of sealing tape for extra support. Fitted perfectly in place and honestly makes the whole setup a lot better if you old one has started to rust and block. Comes with a universal end fitting and attachments. Great for quick access to water for feeding plants etc. made my tank feel like brand new again. Arrived safely packaged!
