I have had a larger engraver but love how small products can be done with ease. I have the roller and it’s great to do larger things. A few examples of my work I’ve tried adding colour. On the leather case I did fail when wiping clean and took away too much in one area. It’s all trail and error when deciding what you want to do I love how easy the machine is to take anywhere and do work with battery pack.
The machine feels very nice and even the included wires. Very sturdy, easy to change between modes. The app is useful, not brilliantly polished. For example if your not connected and try to do a preview. It will automatically connect but you will have to enter your size again. You maybe logged out when you start the app (I think if you haven’t used it for a while) so you have to log in. Very small things that you get used to. It’s great that you can take an image and be burning a logo or something without having to edit in other software. You could have zero graphic experience and confidently laser whatever you’d like. When adjusting how much detail you want to be included in the app from an image can be slow to adjust the previewed image. I have learned to adjust and wait, a great tip for newbies. Also the distance the laser is from the project has to be a certain measurement. This is easy with the little arm the folds down, allowing a perfect project (as in last photo). Support has been engaging and help on a Facebook page is good for users.

Having used the laserpecker l1pro and laserpecker 2 the 2 is faster higher resolution more materials think should have kept the self height adjustment but minor thing yet to try the roller had a problem with QR code on box google play said not available in my country but already sorted prior so not a problem if you’ve got the lp1 pro and thinking about should I upgrade in my opinion yes I can already do business cards and looking forward to using rolle

Hi just received LaserPecker 2 what can I say well after using the LP 1 pro since Christmas last year I find it very easy to use only problem I find I had to look on YouTube to find how to use the roller system as a lack of instruction could I make a suggestion why don’t you do a exchange on new products like Apple do anyhow I will now go and get to know the LP2.Only moan I have is the glasses not as good as the ones with the Laser Pecker 1 pro

Not for heavy duty engraving, its too low powered for that, it has limited art work size unless you purchase the roller stand, but really practical and can do things a bed laser can’t.
I’ve had no problems with it.

This is the best thing I’ve purchased in a long time . The application of what you can do with this is endless . It did take a while to home in the setting at first but with trail and error i got there in the end. If you are looking for a versatile laser engraver take a close look at this one . I Would highly recommend it.

Over the moon with how easy this is to use, really great product as described.
Only regret is not getting the roller with it, this will be the next purchase I suggest buying it with!!!
Alot of tinkering to find the right laser depth for varied things adds to the fu

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI’ve been experimenting with this engraver for several days now, and I’m very impressed with what it can do. It was very simple to set up, and I’ve completed some intricate engravings as well as some basic cutouts. I’m not so impressed with the app, and if you are going to use it, I’d advise using the full Windows version. If you want to connect to the printer from your laptop, then you need to purchase a separate dongle. All in all, this should last me a few years for what I need. Very happy with the build quality and output. Not so happy with the Android app and price point. 4/5.

    Simplicity itself to put together.
It produces brilliant lasered images with a little bit of practice regarding the settings for different materials.

All you need to do is download the Laserpecker app, which I did on an old phone.
I send images to myself via messenger and the app is able to use them directly from the phone.

One of the best items I have purchased in a long time

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersReally liking this LaserPecker 2 engraver/cutter. First time using such a device so a quick learning curve was needed. Joining the fb user group helped a lot (just search within the group for your question, if not answered previously, ask away).
I have so far done engravings on stainless steel (reusable) straws, mdf coasters & slate coasters (photo’s of straw & slate coaster in this review). I am very happy with how they have turned out. Only ‘wasted’ one coaster & straw getting the correct settings but I think it was worth it.
One thing I will say is practise, practise then practise some more. You will ‘waste’ materials whilst you find the settings for the material you’re using and for how you want it to look.
I have also ordered the ‘portable’ powerbank now (directly from the company) as more projects have come to mind that won’t have any mains power nearby.
Review maybe updated at a later date……

Love it, love it, love it. Almost plug and play.
Great support from the manufacturer and groups on face book.
You just send the prodject you want to print to the app via phone or computer . I’m not a techy in any way shape or form and I can do it .
Doesn’t do gold silver or copper, but I want it for wood( laser pecker 3 or 4 for metals)
Your editing suite and your imagination are the only limits.
If you want letter or Imogen larger than 100 mm high. Then this is not for you. With the roller you can make them over 600 wide eaisaly .hope this helps. As I said, I love i

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersIt’s good for the presettings work great, now I had a go at engraving on slate and that needs more work, but as a 3d artist I have skills like photoshop and maya and I would recommend anyone buying a pecker just have a go like photoshop or something that’s a free product and it will give you better results, my self I like it and it will help my business in the future. In all its easy to use and quick getting started with preinstalled images with settings , I will say don’t engrave near a smoke detector and have a little ventilation.

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersI am very impressed with the LaserPecker 2. I have tried laser engraving with a budget CNC rig, but not had good results. Right out of the box, the LaserPecker 2 stands out for build quality and attention to detail. The unit is easy to assemble — just two screws to attach the upright stand and then a thumb screw to attach the laser unit itself. The LaserPecker 2 comes with a safety screen and safety goggles — both are a must as the laser could blind you and your loved ones. The screen has an extractor fan to exhaust some of the fumes.
As others have mentioned, the unit is quite compact. The basic engraving area is 100 x 100mm, however this can be significantly increased if you also invest in the roller pack which allows for engraving on cylindrical objects such as drinking glasses, bottles and mugs/travel mugs. The roller also has two clever features — mounted on the base it will act as a roller to move a work area along to allow for a larger work area. Mounted under the base, the roller actually moves the whole unit along the work area to allow for an even larger work area — although it is advisable to have a flat surface to work on and, if necessary, add some weigh to the unit to ensure the unit works in a straight line and does not stray to the right or left. Another clever feature of the LaserPecker 2 is the ability to adjust the angle of the laser head to print on work areas that cannot fit on the base. If necessary, the unit can be used as a hand held device. You would be best advised to only do this with the protective screen attached and make sure you have a steady hand.
The LaserPecker 2 can be operated via a Android/Apple app or through a laptop (not sure about Apple OS on a laptop/desktop). If you do intend to control the unit through your laptop, you will have to make sure the latest firmware is installed in the unit. This is an easy process and the links and instructions can be found on the LaserPecker website. I was wary of using the App as I generally prefer to use a laptop computer, however I have been pleasantly surprised how easy the app is to use. The software is fairly intuitive, although it does take a few tries to get setting right for the perfect engraving. I would recommend working on cardboard or scrap wood to start with until you have found your ideal settings.
I also find it useful to use the preview feature, which will show a square/rectangular outline of the area which will be engraved. This allows for proper positioning of the material to be engraved. Using the app, the preview grid can be moved around to line up with the material. This is very handy as, once the protective screen is down, it is hard to move the material to be engraved.
One thing to remember, is, if you are engraving on a black surface, the preview grid will not show up as the black will absorb the preview light. I use a piece of paper or card to enable me to see the preview grid and make sure the work material is properly aligned. I have also found, that when printing on coated metal (I use business card size steel sheet from Amazon), at first is appears the laser has not engraved deep enough. However, applying some rubbing alcohol will remove the dust residue to reveal the engraved image.
If you intend to engrave on metal with a reflective surface or glass, it is worth investing in a marker pen such as a Sharpie to pre-coat the area you intend to engrave on. This will ensure safe engraving and the ink should wipe off with some rubbing alcohol.
Finally, I love the safety features of the LaserPecker 2. In addition to the protective screen and quality protective goggles, the software has built in features to ensure the laser is not initiated without the user confirming the work area is safe. This involves using a six number pin (set by the user) and a delay counter of 5 seconds before the user is allowed to proceed to the engraving stage.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersThis is the second laserpecker product I have tried and the one I like best so far. The LP1 is cheaper and more portable although the tripod supplied with the one I had was a bit feeble and prone to toppling over. The advantage was you could plonk it on anything and engrave -same with the LP2 in most cases. Before all this I purchased a combined laser/milling/cutting machine but the free software was not that great and worst was the fact the object had to be placed on the milling bed so height of an object and size was an issue. The beauty of laserpecker is the laser beam is guided with mirrors so the beam moves and not the machine (except the roller attachment but principle is same) so in reality if you wanted to engrave your name on the middle of your car bonnet you can just as easy as if you want to engrave your name on a toothpick. The software is app based with a pc/Mac version available. This is what sold it for me really is the app feature as you can be up and running in a couple of minutes after receiving and makes it totally portable if you buy the battery pack. (If you can stretch the battery pack is very handy when using the rollers)
I wish i had got the battery pack at the same time in the bundle (the unit needs 12v unlike the LP1) as I found when using the rollers in tractor mode (drivers the machine along a flat surface for longer work) the power supply lead can drag it off course so if your engraving with any length it’s best to place a bit of wood clamped down as a barrier for it to run against.
The only niggle was the height adjustment for me as this is an expensive, well made product that really oozes premium product yet when lifting or lowering the unit the drive has no anti trap protection so if it comes into contact with something it doesn’t stop lowering as I found out when first using. The lift mechanism has an up and down button that you press once for a 1mm step or if you press longer and release it will move continuously until you press to cancel (I found the button response hit and miss when this happened) at this price point I would expect the lift mechanism to have some sort of anti trap protection thus preventing damage to the machine or item you want to engrave.
This aside it’s a fantastic product that’s well made and so portable you can engrave the side of a shed in the middle of a field just as easy as engaging services at a show

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI almost wish I’d bought a 4 legged version from another supplier. Still wresting with the 10cm size restriction. Couldn’t afford to buy it, but used my card – hopefully it will pay for itself fairly rapidly.

Assemblage not a problem – switching it on quite frightening first time. First cut of a dogs paw from library exciting .
Managed with iphone for first two days. Now managed to install LP for Mac – and already used to using Affinity for designing, am getting to grips with handling the interface. Already sold my first two items – and my imagination is outstripping my ability to make and organise my lasering – that’s life. When I’ve worked out how to laser a rolling pin or similar – and do lettering or picture over 10 inches or more, I’ll be feeling more relaxed.

I have used a conventional set up laser for over a year now and decided to give this a try. From the moment I opened the package I could see the quality in this machine. So easy to set up and get started. The laser cutting and etching is very easy to do with so many settings ready to use in the app. The results are excellent. The picture I took was a pottery coaster which I replicated from another I cut with my old laser. It took 5 minutes to do where the last one I cut took 25 minutes which shows the amazing speed of the Laserpecker 2. The definition is so good and for a hobby user like me this machine is perfect. I have cut and etched more with this laser in a few weeks than I ever did with the old machine. It is compact and easy to store away. No huge spaces needed to set it up on. Totally portable so you can etch anything anywhere. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a quality laser machine.

This is a very handy laser engraving tool. Some of the dimensional limitations are offset by the accessories.
It’s solid and well built and has been producing promotional items since it arrived.
The image interface is a bit clunky as the machine is controlled through an app. The safety features are very comprehensive and I’m really happy with what I’ve bought.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersEasy to set up and use.
The oak wood turned Whisky Barrel was engraved the day after the Laser Pecker 2 arrived
    ( Barrel 105mm high max diam 85mm)
It is now easy to mark all my wood turning with a personal logo.
Do a test run on similar scrap material before engraving the finished article.
Very good for metal business cards, engraving QR codes and key fobs.
Information on settings is not very thorough on the Laserpecker 2 App but more detailed settings can be found by searching the web.

I generally don’t write many reviews, but really felt that I should mention the excellent customer service which comes with the LaserPecker.

After hours of watching online videos and reading reviews, I took the plunge and bought the LaserPecker 2, with add-ons, in May 2022. My main reason for settling on this was the appeal of this laser really being plug and play and very versatile. Within minutes of having taken it out of the box I was trying it out on numerous materials.

Unfortunately, a few months later the stand developed a fault with one of the buttons not responding. The laser itself was not affected, but this was a hindrance when trying to do a few projects in a row. I reached out to customer services via their email, not really knowing what to expect. However, I was really impressed with the level of care they provided. May, in particular, was extremely helpful — after checking what the issue was and verifying that it was a malfunction, she offered to send out a stand. This was without me having to return the one I was using, which meant I could continue with my projects with minimal disruption. Although arriving from China, delivery was super-fast and I was able to swap the stands and speed up my projects. May kept me updated throughout and responded to any query really fast.

I am really enjoying my LaserPecker and am reassured that there is excellent support, should you need it.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersI bought this mainly to engrave logo to my handcrafted wooden items. It was very easy to assemble and use straight out of the box, download the app and you’re away (although app will hopefully get better with upgrades). Its capability is far greater than that and have since used it for other engraving to give work a more professional look. In trolley mode I’ve stopped using the ball bearing supports supplied and just added some weight to counter balance it, I find it runs a lot straighter this way and does not veer off course. If you intend to cut anything other than really thin stock <3mm suggest you buy a more powerful laser. It has its limitations, obviously size of engraving 100mm high, but also has the ability to engrave up to 2M in length. So far so good (not used in slab mode yet), very pleased with purchase overall although a little expensive. Would definitely recommend just understand what you're buying A++

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI bought the LaserPecker 2 Suit which doesnt seem available any more on Amazon, similar to this product but without the power bank. Initially I used it with the Android app and was disapointed in the amount of work that was needed to mark multiple items in one pass. I discovered the PC version on their site and downloaded it recently, its a great improvement over the Android app allowing the full 100mm x 100mm marking area to be used for multiple items. In my case I was marking a large number of 30mm discs so you can get 9 in the window and mark them all at one pass. The main bugbear was accurately positioning the items, I tried a wooden fixture by using the laser to do the cutting but I found it difficult to cut cleanly through 2mm plywood so in the end opted for a 3D printed fixture. With that in place clipped to the base it was a simple matter of loading the fixture and marking the product, improved speed of operation by more than ten times due to the overhead associated with each marking cycle, now only one overhead per 9 items.
Result marking 3mm plywood was excellent, positioning was exact and speed reasonable for a dark mark.

    Cons
Touch buttons on vertical riser can be a bit tempermental, and a fan with higher volume of air per minute would be helpful, the orange screen statrs to fog up when you are marking wood due to smoke.
The windows app is a great improvement on the smart phone apps but needs some rough edges sorting out, for example why does the Engraving Settings switch to default after every mark but reset to the current settings if you preview, I find that odd. Positioning accuracy is also strange, if you move the items with a mouse you get 0.1mm accuracy but if you type in the numbers or use the up/down buttons, for x,y co-ordinates it will only allow 1mm accuracy.
    Conclusion
Overall for the price it is a excellent product, especially as it uses a galvanometer to move the beam rather than move the whole laser head giving much better acuracy in positioning.

Edited after several days of use.
After several days use it appears the button problem is related to position of the drive unit, if close to end of travel buttons can be very unresponsive. In general short press, short move, long press continuous move, when moving a press on the button stops the drive.

When using preview mode in the windows app you can move the whole image to get better positioning, great if you are using multiple images to make up the whole pattern.

A useful tool would be the ability to automatically drive the head up to a preset position once the mark stops, especially when the shield is fitted, to make access to the marked items easier.

The PC app worksd with both Bluetooth and USB connection although my unit needed a firmware update to work with USB connection so I needed to use a Bluetooth connection to make the upgrade. As I was using a PC which did not have a Bluetooth connection I had to get a Bluetooth unit to get it to work. The Laser unit has built in Bluetooth so you only need an external bluetooth dongle if your laptop or PC does not have Bluetooth built in. I have since aquired a dedicated laptop for the laser and that came with built in bluetooth so works with Bluetooth or USB.

The unit is easy to assemble out of the box and I got good results on my very first attempt. Like most pieces of technology the results are even better with practice. It’s really only a matter of getting to know which settings are needed for each type of material.
The app might have a couple of glitches but it generally works well. Customer services are very efficient and relied to me with helpful advice almost immediately.
The unit is more for engraving than cutting although I have successfully cut out a 100mm letter in 3mm ply. All in all I’m delighted

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersThis is my first laser etching device, I’ve had it for a couple of weeks now and love it. I have the standard LP2 and use it to sign the bases of my work, I’m a professional woodturner, maker of ashes urns and other pieces of turned art.
I really like the portability and versatility of the LP2, I took it to a trade show last weekend and people were blown away with what I could do with it. I was taking their photos and etching them onto key fobs and presenting them with the key ring. I also took it to a friends birthday party and was etching their kitchen spatulas and wooden spoons as well as doing key rings for them.
It means i can personalise the urns I make with a finger print or a photo etc etc which beforehand I would have had to take to a local laser etching company would try to fit my one off jobs in to their busy work schedule, sometimes taking a few weeks.
To sum up I would and have highly recommended the LP2 to anyone due to it’s compact size, portability and versatility.

    My first laser.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI’ve had my LaserPecker 2 for just over a week and in that time I’ve experimented with a range of different materials including paper, cardboard, plastic, wood, ceramic, and stone.

I’ve been extremely impressed by the power, speed and accuracy of the device. Just a few years ago, a laser of this kind at this size and price point would have been inconceivable. I am pretty new to this field and I was happier buying a machine like this rather than a similarly priced kit that I’d need to put together and configure.

Its sleek design is a huge step up from its predecessor. When it’s not in use, it is also compact enough, together with its accessories, to always have a place on my work bench.

The app is very easy to use, though its in-app creation features are quite limited; this doesn’t bother me because I create most of my artwork using Photoshop. As other people have mentioned, the number of warning popups and confirmation requests can seem excessive, but it has the potential to be an extremely dangerous machine so it’s better to have too many warnings than not enough.

I have used the rolling base to engrave a toilet roll tube (for practice) and a glass tumbler. Using it wasn’t as complicated as I had expected and I’m currently on the hunt for more cylindrical things to burn!

Depending on your material, it can generate a fair amount of smoke so make sure that your work area is well ventilated. Wood, in particular, smokes heavily. Be particularly careful when dealing with anything that could produce toxic fumes such as plastics.

Bear in mind, also, that the base is quite easily marked by the laser if you aren’t careful. To avoid this I’ve been using a cheap metal loaf tin which protects the base, provides a visual shield from the contact point (which, however tempting it might be, you should avoid looking at even with the goggles), and it would also safely contain things if the item I was lasering were to catch fire.

Overall, even though I was apprehensive to spend this kind of money on something I had limited experience and knowledge of, I am really pleased with it. I will return to update my review if I have any more news.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI had some issues and I shot off before giving the company enough time. The customer service is fantastic! When they found out there was an issue, they fixed it by replacing the part and well above my expectation. The laser itself is great aswell, the materials are of a very good quality and the results are really good.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersArrived on time and well packed. Assembly instructions very clear and simple. Set up to phone quick and easy. Once running this little laser with a big heart showed its value and potential. This will be a great machine for hobbies or business. Cant wait until a larger format version is available.
just need to save up for the power pack and other extras…..should have opted for the complete set up.

I’m very impressed by this laser engraver and how much capability it has in spite of such a small footprint. The app is easy to use and the laser engraver quickly and cleanly once you’ve determined the right settings for the material you’re using.

There are a few minor improvements that could be made to make it easier to place an item accurately and thus be sure your engraving is straight when using the stand, but nothing that can’t be worked around and I still find it to be a 5 star product in spite of this.

This is the first laser engraver I have owned.
The packaging is premium and easily up to iPad standards. Inside the box everything is encased in foam.
Basically it is just two screws to assemble it using the included hex key.
The unit itself seems very well made and feels very nice .
The mobile app to run it is easy to use and most settings are self explanatory.
When you are using it I would recommend trying to vent the smoke and fumes outside, although if you are only doing small
engravings it is ok to use inside ,if you can stand the smell of burning wood.
I am looking forward to seeing what I can cut, etch or engrave, apart from leaving messages on my wife’s fruit.
It is possible to use it handheld as it is quite quick, but a power bank would make it easier.

    Laserpecker could not be better.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI have another laser engraver by another brand but not as easy to use straight out of the box.
The laser engraver came well packaged and the build quality and finish the best I have seen.
The assembly and set up instructions clear and easy to follow even for a non techie like me.
Image transfer by phone, tablet or PC so easy to resize and alter intensity with amazing effect.
The more I use the more i love the laser pecker 2 , the rotary attachment is precise and really easy to use.
Would like to see a bigger print area, but if engraving on a flat surface you can use the rotary attachment to print as per the product promotion video.
The biggest plus for me is the size and portability of the laser pecker 2 , packs down easy , but small enough to leave assembled without getting in the way.
Materials that it will cut/engrave wood, paper, leather, rubber , plastic easily, engraves painted surfaces easily but struggles with stainless steel.
The price is good value for money, especially for the build quality of this item, laser pecker customer service team easy to contact and helpful
Would recommend to others, a very happy customer.

A well packaged and engineered tool for powerful and precise laser engraving with the rotary tool becomes an awesome portable tool for larger-scale projects A little on the expensive side but it shows in the finished products. The old adage of you gets what you pay for …

Two days in but thoroughly enjoying this device. Excellent design and build quality. Easy to assemble (two screws). Overall installation time of just a few minutes. The app is so easy to use. The ability to engrave from your own imagery from your phone is brilliant. The fine details possible are inspiring. Quality output looks very professional. Not cheap but good value for money. Assuming no wrinkles, I may buy a second unit.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI ordered the Laserpecker 2 (LP2) based upon its description. I’ve done this a few times with various bits of equipment and in every case I had been disappointed. HOWEVER the LP2 is different, it’s performance exceeds its description. The ease of use is insanely good, the user Interface, construction, and looks are all incredible. This is clearly designed by an engineer that has studied ergonomics and the user experience.

Overall I am very happy with the LP2, I knew it was good when I wouldn’t stop recommending it to friends only a day after having bought it.

Buy one with confidence, this laser is a game changer.

Within minutes of being out of the box it was assembled and in use. It is very easy to use straight from the phone app. Usually anything new, my first attempts end in disaster. Not this time. I was producing good quality engraving on wood and vinyl. I had a go at cutting 2mm ply with good results too. No real downsides unless you consider the 100mm width restriction but, build quality, ease of use, and quality of output in my opinion it is brilliant.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI rarely leave reviews for products, but for the quality and price, LaserPecker 2 is simply a must-have if you’re into crafts, engravings etc.

It is made from high-grade materials, and the structure feels very sturdy.

It’s effortless to use, plug and play with the app from the Apple or Google Play store – no other programs or apps required.

The accessories available allow you to etch or engrave anything, whether it’s a round can, bottle, a long piece of wood etc.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersWhat a great gadget to have and engrave things with, make your own coasters, key rings, engrave furniture the list is endless.

Upon opening the box I noticed the good quality packaging and weight of the item. It has a good quality feel and all the components are individually packaged. The instructions are easy to follow, two screws attach the stand to the base then screw the laser unit on. The orange safety screen clips on, then attach the cables.

Inside the front cover of the instructions is a QR code for an easy link to the app. Once downloaded allow access to the Bluetooth and pair the device. Register with an email address and create a safety pin. Make it memorable because you need to enter this prior to starting the laser. !

Place your engraving material on the base, use the side controls to adjust the laser so a 110mm air gap is present.
Once you select an image enter the desired size, once prompted press preview on the top of the unit which shines an outline on your engraving material allowing final positioning.
Use in a ventilated area when engraving wood as it gives off some smoke.
Can be used at an angle or handheld without the stand.

In conclusion a brilliant product, highly recommended. Happy engraving.

Golden Review Award: 17 From Our UsersThe LP2 laser engraver is the upgraded model from the LP1, this means that they have completely redesigned the body of the laser itself increasing it’s power and accuracy, although they have increased the size of the body itself it’s still a really compact unit and the additional handle which has been added to the top as well as the buttons which can be activated and deactivated.

So starting from top to bottom as an overview for this entire unit, the handle on top is designed purely for portability in mind, where you can hold the device in your hand and push it up against any surface you need to engrave without having to dismantle anything. The handle is thin and easy to hold making it ideal for lengthy engraving, however i wouldn’t want to be the only thing holding it in position during a full engraving as i wouldn’t be surprised if you couldn’t hold it perfectly still which might affect the engraving itself. Next to the handle are 3 buttons, these buttons by default are turned off and can be turned on through the app by going to the menu button (top right) –>Mode Settings –> Turn Touch Key On. These then allow you to control the preview button and the Power Switch (on/Off). As well as having an indicator light which tells you what’s happening with it (yellow flashing whilst synching and Blue solid once connected.

In order to use it you’ll need to get it connected to the app, in my case i was using a Google Pixel phone which needed to be connected through the device first using the pin 0000 then going through the app and it auto connects, however some phones including iPhones will connect first time directly through the app itself.

Once the device is connected which you can check in the menu button and by pressing “Bluetooth Device Connection” you’ll then need to set the all important height, this can be done via the buttons on the side of the auto stand or by adding on the Shield (which has an integrated fan) which is the perfect height of 110mm. I tend to use the auto-stand with the shield attached more as i engrave smaller items and just find it that much easier to do it this way.

Up to this point you now have a fully functioning single dimension laser engraver…then they had to throw in a 3rd axis which in itself is genius. This add on plugs in relay into the LP2 and allows you to use it numerous ways to engrave more awkward items, the first of them being tubular items such as bottles, pens, pencils etc. Once it has been connected up, you turn on the third axis through mode settings in the app, choose Cylinder and place your item to engrave onto the metal rollers, once you have checked your image and placed it where you want it engraved you can even preview the engraving as it rotates around the object to ensure you get it just right. You can also use this 3rd Axis to turn over, attach the LP2 to and set it up to engrave a longer object in a full run as you watch the LP2 “walk” across it engraving, i would however suggest you do a bit of trial and error on this first though as it is rather more difficult than just standard engraving, you’ll also need to make sure it has a fixed run holding it in place either side to ensure a straight engraving.

Without going into any more detail, this device is a really fun cool piece of kit that really can engrave most things, it’s a marvel how far they have come since the original LP1 making this device the ultimate user friendly laser engraver that works for both pros but also amateurs and enthusiasts.

    Compact but over performs

    PHONE APP
Upon receiving this, I was very impatient to try it out, having already downloaded the app onto my (android) phone. Frustratingly, it seems the app won’t run properly until the bluetooth link to the hardware is established, although in my case the bluetooth linked straight away, with no problems at all. The blue lights on the unit flash until bluetooth is connected, then go to solid blue. They also go to green when running the laser. To be fair, once the initial connection was made it seemed to re-connect itself whenever I ran the app again.
    USING
First thing I tried was the cute little “woodpecker” logo, which I proceeded to engrave slap bang in the middle of the 100mm square piece of 3mm plywood sample supplied with the unit. I used the suggested settings for “wood” and it made the engraving in a few seconds – this thing is pretty fast at the lower resolutions.
That done, I turned my hand to some paper cutting, to see if I could make a stencil, and that worked pretty good too. I also managed to make an engraving on the base of the unit too – silly me – I forgot to put anything underneath the card I was cutting! I used an old magazine under subsequent engravings, and that worked fine.
Just for fun I tried “engraving” a steak, just to see if it would work – it did! (see first two pics)
The final thing I tried was a full size, as big as it would go of another one of the supplied artwork pieces the horses head – for this I set it to the max resolution, opened the window and put on the extractor fan in the bathroom – this thing does chuck out a fair bit of stinky smoke when it’s engraving wood, or cardboard – I’d definitely recommend putting under the cooker hood or close to an extractor fan of some kind, if engraving indoors. The horse’s head took approx 38 minutes to do, using two passes, but looks pretty good, (see pic). On the whole, once I got the hang of the app, it was very easy to use, with plenty of safety warnings to use the (supplied) laser specs, while running.
    CONNECTING
I did try out the windows app on my pc, but I could not get this to work, using the cable supplied, perhaps it would work if using bluetooth instead, I couldn’t really try this because my pc is connected via ethernet cable so has no bluetooth capability.
Also it wouldn’t power up using USB power it really needs to be connected to the mains adaptor via the 12v input “power supply interface” before it’ll power up at all.
I also tried using a “power brick” a large battery I have which is capable of charging three phones at once, but could not get the unit to power up by plugging into the “PC” connector” via the USB cable supplied. I suppose if I had a direct 12v co-ax plug and cable it might work if I plugged into the power socket on the unit, but it definitely won’t work off just USB power. I believe there is a power brick which comes as an optional extra for this, which probably has the right cable with it. I think, if you wanted to do any hand-held engraving far from the mains, that would be the only option.
    CONCLUSION
Although this is rather expensive, it does what the makers claim, and does it well, it is beautifully engineered and comes packed in a very sturdy box with cut-out foam lining for all the pieces.
I had no problems putting it together, as all the fixings are very simple to attach

Golden Review Award: 17 From Our UsersThe LaserPecker 2 is a user friendly professional tool for Laser engraving and Laser cutting. Much faster than the first generation engraver and all you need is a phone or tablet with the app.

I managed to engrave a massive 60cmx10cm name on my wooden work bench with the 3 axis roller base, personalized a glass perfume bottle, engrage a logo on a curved metal sport bottle and have my photo engraved on the sample wood. It cannot engrave metal as such but with a marker I managed to etch a logo onto the stainless steel dog tag, this is a game changer for laser engraving.

Cutting thin cardboard is what this machine can do really well, nice and sharp cut out with very find details. Cutting thin wood will also work but because it is a fixed point laser there is a beveled edge toward the end of the 10cmx10cm cutting area. The middle will always be the best for cutting, any thing up to 1.5mm will not be noticiable. There is a big support network on social media and I found most of the settings needed for different materials online which save me a lot of time dialing it in for cutting.

The built of the macine is high end, every piece is engineered to fit perfect without wobble which gives the laser engraving and cutting with high accuracy. The 3 Axis assistant is not necessary for 2D engraving but it open up possibilities for engraving all sorts of curved surfaces and also allows it to engrave 10cm hight with infinity width.

The orange engraveing cone protect your eyes from harmful laser as well as being the laser focus guide, a pair of eye protection is included which is adjustable and comfortable to wear. The App is well designed with many template ready for use, it can also convert any photo or screenshorts from your phone and use it to cut/engrave with just a few clicks.

I wish it comes with a case and cutting base but overall a fantastic Laser engraving tool

Simple to use, engrave, cut all done with phone/tablet app

Golden Review Award: 12 From Our UsersBe prepared… this is going to be a long in depth review, but the product deserves it!
Firstly, I have to say this is one of the most amazing products I have ever used!

I have zero experience in laser engraving/cutting. I am a hobby crafter and have used cutting/engraving machines in the past, but nothing like this. I currently engrave on my crafting machine using an engraving tool, which to be honest if fairly acceptable. However this machine really does take that to the next level and your work starts to become seriously professional!!

The laser machine itself is extremely well manufactured, and immediately upon opening the box you can tell the quality workmanship that has gone into designing and manufacturing this product. It feels super premium! In the starter kit (suite) you get everything you need to start your projects. Ranging from the actual laser body to the electronic stand, the 3rd axis rolling machine, test materials, laser protection googles and a protective orange cover with an exhaust fan. With this initial kit you really are ready to go!

I have to disclose i did watch a few videos on social media prior to using the device as i wanted to be sure i knew exactly how to use the machine safely. I know that laser devices can be dangerous, but if used in the correct way are equally perfectly safe. When the product arrived i had a good basic understanding of how to use safely. (Trust me it really wasn’t difficult and there are loads of advice tips and videos available for you to watch).

Putting the machine together was straight forward, two screws bolt the stand to the base, you even get the tools provided to do this in the box. The laser then just screws onto the electric adjustable stand.

You need to download the Laserpecker app on your android/iOS device to use the machine. There is software for windows which i also installed but this didn’t look nearly as straight forward as the app – so i have only used the app at the time of writing this review. The app is well designed and very easy to understand/navigate. You connect to the machine via Bluetooth. The first time you open the app there is a walkthrough which tells you what you need to know. You then register and bind the machine to the app and it walks you through a test engraving. The app has lots of pre-installed designs enabling you to engrave/etch almost immediately. You can also free draw and type text into the app to engrave, as well as import photo’s from your camera roll – it really is simple but it works great!

When you have selected your design, the app asks you to measure out and put in the size of your finished design in millimetres. Just use the enclosed ruler to measure your material and put it in the app. You can then preview the design size on your material. The laser then shines a square around the outline of your design so that you can achieve the perfect placement on your material. Once you are happy with your placement you then move onto the final screen which asks you to select the material your are laser engraving onto. There are several pre programmed materials within the app which will set the settings for you. If you have a material not listed such as glass then there is a ton of information on the best settings for this on social media. Once you have selected your material you then hit the start button and the machine works it’s magic… and trust me it really is magic!! It’s amazing to watch the machine at work (PLEASE wear the safety googles to protect your eyes – and make sure all pets are out of the work room). The engraving itself only takes a few minutes dependant on your design and the results are fantastic!

I tried various materials in my testing, and while i had success with most some were trial and error on the settings. But once you get the hang of it it is addictive!! The results are truly amazing. So much better than my previous engraving tool.

Some material such as wood do leave a strong burning smell and the wood can also smoke, so ensure you have adequate ventilation when using the machine. I just opened a window and it was fine. Never leave the machine unattended whilst it is lasering also! I successfully engraved onto a stainless steel dog tag & water bottle, wood, glass (without any etching creams) and anodised aluminium cards. All looked fantastic – okay so the glass needs a little more refinement but for the first couple of tries I was very pleased. I have also cut some earrings out of 2mm bass wood, i have included a picture for you to look at. Wow, this thing really is amazing!!

The 3rd Axis rolling tool is also fantastic, this allows you to engrave onto cylindrical objects, such as drinking glasses. I tested this on a normal tall glass and also on my stainless steel water bottle. The 3rd Axis rolls the object as it lasers in order that you can laser onto round surfaces. It works brilliantly! (if you find the roller is not rolling in preview mode – i found that if you unplug the usb and plug it back it it then works find – it does tend to do this every time, hopefully a firmware update can fix this minor bug. Also you must switch on the 3rd axis in the settings)) If you flip over the 3rd axis you can also place the device on a much longer surface like a table and the laser will move along as it engraves. You are only limited by 100mm in the height if engraving this way. I haven’t tried the rolling platform engraving yet as i don’t have a surface big enough. The 3rd option with the axis tool is to use a longer material that the rollers will pull under the laser. In the base of the axis machine there are 2, what look like 9V batteries, but these are in fact ball bearing type devices which stabilise your material when bring pulled under the laser.

Overall i am truly amazed by this product.. it is truly portable due to it’s size and can be used without the stand on vertical surfaces. I literally can’t stop engraving stuff!!

So do I recommend this product – ABSOLOUTELY! In fact i have absolutely nothing negative to say about this product, it truly has blown me away. Yes it’s a big investment, but equally it is truly amazing! I don’t sell my creations, but if you are a crafter that sells stuff then this device will definitely get you a decent return on your investment.

Top Tip – Make sure you always measure from your material to the top of the laser and it needs to be 110mm – or use the flip down L bracket or orange hood. I forgot to do this on a couple of occasions (see my chopping board photo and you can see that the writing is not as clear as the fish image.. this was due to not setting the laser at the 110mm height)

Thanks for taking the time to read my review.
