Super super bright you need your sunglasses. The warm white is a lovely colour, the flashing one I would only use if in danger to attract help I think it would trigger a fit if you were epileptic its very very bright . This will be great in my blackout tent.

This is a very bright lamp. It has a setting to lessen the blue light and make it more warm-white, which is my preferred setting, but either way, it’s very bright. It has a flashing SOS function which is pretty cool, and I hope I don’t need to use it but it’s good to know it’s there.
It’s really sturdy, strong, waterproof and easily hangable with the clip on the bottom. It’s been really good for us while camping, and I’d definitely get another similar one (but maybe a rechargeable one next time)
This lamp is perfect for camping. Ideal for night trips, trying to find the toilets in the darks etc and great for hanging in the tent on low light as the evening sets in!

I bought this lamp as an emergency lamp for when we have a power cut, it is also very useful when going outside in the dark.
This is a lovely lightweight lantern with a tremendous bright far reaching light indoors. I bought it to use in power-cuts. One is ample for the room and light spreads to corridor well from that too. It has a warmer light to use which would be useful for tents at night. I have not needed to use it yet so can’t comment on battery life.

This is a really great lantern. It’s lightweight, easy to use, throws excellent light and good to have a choice of settings, with a practical handle that folds away close to the lantern itself. Really useful, glad to have two at home for trips away or power cuts etc.

These are so bright, easily lights a whole room. They are light, changing batteries is easy and the button to turn them on is very easy to operate. This was an important point as it was being used by someone with severe rheumatoid arthritis of the hands

Bought this as a standby in case of power-cuts. Thankfully not needed yet. The light is definitely bright enough to read under and easily bright enough to light a good sized room. Reviews warned of difficulty putting the lamp back together after fitting batteries. I had no trouble but applied a bit of logic – carefully marry the shape of the centre spindle to the base and don’t be ham fisted! Would buy again – in fact I did, for my sister.

This item is great. Thoughtful handle that means it can be hung at height for wider illumination. It’s very lightweight obviously the batteries do add a fair amount. Very impressed with its brightness. Intend to take camping but at the moment have in the cupboard at home in case of power cut. One lights up the room like a having a bright lamp with perhaps a 40w bulb would. Happy I bought these.

Arrived quickly. Some people refer to difficulty in attaching base to the body when loaded with batteries – just be careful and it is easy. Excellent staged lighting for different occasions. Bought to replace and old lamp which has non repairable tube so time will tell if as efficient hence 4 stars. Early indication is that this is a handy little lamp for power cuts etc. Chose a battery powered over rechargeable since the day the power goes off is the day you realise you had not recharged in a while!!!

Wanted a lantern for use during occasional power cuts. Batteries are very fiddly to insert. Was considering purchasing another for my elderly mother but she would not be able to wrangle the batteries! Gives a good light. Has two brightness settings. Can’t comment on battery or bulb life as only just purchased. Reasonable value for money, but needs three large batteries which were expensive.
Purchased 2 of these lamps because of blackouts. They are brilliant !! So bright-lights up the whole room. Don’t know how long the batteries last for yet as haven’t had them on long yet. They are easy to use & light up a whole room, even better than my lamp! Well worth to buy if you want a powerful bright light.
Bought this for power cuts to avoid falling over cat as candles and torches not enough for moving about. It has a very good light, good enough to sit up in bed and read by and lights a large area. It was a very good price for the quality.

This has been great, been used on and off few times a week. Had new batteries only once. But today it died for no reason..one minute working the next nothing works….no knocks etc. Bit annoying for the price of 27 quid I paid I think. It should last a good few more years.
I don’t normally write reviews but this is definitely worth it. I bought this as we had an issue with our light in our loo. It arrived next day ( I am a prime member though) and fitted the batteries. I’m just using long life batteries from a well known supermarket. I found them easy to install. The light is amazing. So bright. I would say the quality is excellent and would definitely recommend it.

Batteries make it a bit heavy when hanging in a tent, but I expect it has real good battery life. Cannot comment on that yet.

I used this when my light failed in utility room. This is the brightest lamp I’ve found, easy to turn on in the dark and so far I haven’t needed to replace the batteries.

I have used this versatile lantern during a power cut and for camping, in both cases I found it to give brilliant illumination, suitable for reading by. The dimming function and the choice of colour of light could be useful, but I don’t envisage that I shall use the features very much. I’m still using the first set of batteries (perhaps ten hours to date) so can’t comment on battery life. I chose a lamp with replaceable dry cells because it is not possible to recharge a rechargeable one during a power cut or when camping.
Ordered this as I couldn’t find my camping lantern (rechargable and cost 150!) and wasn’t expecting much for the price. I was really disappointed when I opened the box as it was tiny compared to the current lamp however the amount of light it kicks out is ridiculous for the size and it was actually far brighter than my current one. Given that it’s about half the size of my current lamp (it actually fits in my glove box!) I’m taking this one away with us from now on. Can’t really comment on the battery life as it’s still going strong. We were camping for 3 days and it showed no sign of running out.

Actually didn’t the buy this for camping. After a couple of power cuts we realised this was an ideal back up for my disabled mum on electricity supplied oxygen. One button push would give her sufficient stand alone lighting to operate a manual oxygen cylinder and make the necessary phone calls for assistance.

I needed to buy this as my partner had taken our torch with him on a trip. I bought the torch so that I could observe my 2 dogs in the garden in the dark. This torc is good to place on a shelf to light the surrounding area.
Bought these for our recent ‘Glamping’ trip with our dogs. Never thought about these before, so was a little apprehensive about the quality and brightness etc. Needn’t have worried though – TOP quality and the brightness is brilliant – would highly recommend

Quite a nice lamp for camping, nice and bright, not had it long enough to comment on battery life, but putting the battery cover on is a bit fiddly and failed to make a good connection to start with, took a few attempts.
I bought this along with amazon size d batteries and I used it for 8 days straight of evening in our tent I did not have to change the batteries until day 6 when I mean it was on constantly for hours of evening it really was great. And the different bright settings is perfec
We have lots of solar lights and a PIR out in the back garden but I wanted a light that I could sit on the garden table that would shed light on my book whilst reading on the late evenings.
It has several settings and the bright is really bright!

I use this in my gazebo at night when in the garden. I’ve tried string lights, and a few others but they would go dim very quickly. This one is just perfect. Plenty of light and very bright. Really good that you have the option of different setting too. In the picture I’ve got it on warm white (dimmed).

any natural gas in the village, so it’s CALOR gas, and everything else is electricity powered. This lamp is a godsend lights up the room brilliantly. With three power settings, your made up with this. Cannot say how long the batteries last, not tested them yet. But in an emergency this lantern is a great

Seems well made and packaged in a smart box. Decent instruction leaflet. Nice compact size and bright light, could well be 1,000 lumens. Bought for emergency use after a couple of brief power cuts, so can’t comment on reliability long-term.

Great lantern!!! Smaller than expected which is a plus. Has 4 functions and honestly is so bright it will be brilliant for camping! And the warm light mode will be brill if we want to just lie and read at night. Video doesn’t do it justice but may give an idea. Can’t comment on battery life yet but I’m sure it’ll be fine! Feels nice and sturdy too. Not exactly lightweight as such but not overly heavy… Itll be the 3 D batteries that make it heavier. You will not be disappointed if you buy this! 10/10

It’s a quite bright lantern compare to my friends hahaha. They have to take mine during the night for the table game, and I have to use their tiny ones. I went for a 3 days camp, and we didn’t run out of battery. Thought I bought this one, I still recommend the rechargeable one for the short camping plan.
The carry handle can be used to hook or tie it up if you want to hang it, though a separate folding hook on the top of the lantern would have been more useful for this purpose. We tend to use a separate S-hook or bungee.
The warm and cold light settings are nice for use in different environments – cold and bright for the loft, warm and glowing in the tent.

I bought this because where I live we have frequent power outs so I needed an emergency light and this fits the bill. I don’t know about the battery life as yet so cannot comment on that.
This is our second one of these lanterns and so far they have performed perfectly. We received an email from the company regarding the battery installation recently as people had raised concerns over the battery installation. The only difference between this and say a standard torch is there is a central pin in the main body of the lantern and a corresponding tube in the base. They need to be aligned and the base held at 45 degrees to the body and then it does require a small amount of pressure to close them together, nothing difficult nor annoying. There two levels of the static light, there is a flashing option too, the first is really bright and the second is still perfect to see by, as we found out during a recent power cut, hence the second purchase.
The lantern itself is fine once you get it working. It doesn’t work when you put the batteries in. You have to turn the top part of the lantern left and right. A lot of people found it difficult and I got two emails from the makers addressing this problem.
Bought this for my balcony as in winter very dark.It works brilliantly just what I needed and it’s battery operated,no electrical work required which would have been expensive.
I bought this as a temporary measure because my bathroom light had broken and I had to wait for an electrician. It’s a nice sturdy little light and gives out a really good level of brightness – there’s 4 brightness settings as well as an SOS setting which would be really useful if using outdoors. If you hold the button you can test a range of brightness in that mode and set to what you need – that’s really useful. Battery life seems good so far as well. The seller sent an email about fitting the batteries (some customers complained it was difficult to do but I didn’t find this at all). Overall I think it’s really worth the money – I’d bought another battery operated light which wasn’t nearly bright enough. Great that it’s water resistant as well. I’ve had no issues using this in a poorly ventilated bathroom. If I ever go camping I’m sure it will be a very useful piece of kit.

This is a quality product, compact and robust in appearance, it punches above its weight in light output. The dimmer light options may definitely be welcome in some situations! Credit to Lepro UK for the unsolicited support contact providing additional battery installation instructions as a result of customer feedback. Reattaching the base against the contacts with the batteries in place is stiffer than expected but not a problem. The low centre of gravity provided by the 3 ‘D’-size batteries in the base make the lantern stable when standing alone while the carrying handle/hook makes it easy to hang up when convenient. The LE Camping Lantern has been in daily use (wet and dry conditions) since purchase and I would happily recommend it. The 24-month warranty is a welcome bonus.
I love this lantern! I needed a good light to take outside with me at night when locking my chickens in their coop! This lantern is really bright and I can hang it up whilst I’m working in the run.
There are two brightness settings a soft light and very bright light. There’s also a flashing mode which may be useful one day – you never know!

In an area prone to recent power cuts I wanted a lantern on hand for emergencies. A battery powered one means it is ready to go and the light choices from this are ideal for short of long power cuts of which we have had both. Reading previous reviews I picked up on one of two who thought loading the batteries was a problem, I didn’t find this at all. They loaded simply and quickly, just follow the illustration on the enclosed instructions. There was also mention of a constantly flashing small indicator light, but I can only assume this may be something on the rechargeable model as there is no such light on the battery model.
Overall, ideal for purpose, lightweight, delivered quickly, and fits the bill. Would recommend.
I bought an LE 1000 Lumen LED Camping Lantern in February 2020. It worked fine until October 2020, when it wouldn’t switch on. I had no luck with new batteries and there was no sign of damage. I emailed the LE Official Store directly and asked for a replacement, and received a positive response within hours. They agreed to replace or even refund the purchase price. LE sent my lantern via Amazon within a couple of days. I didn’t have to return the original lamp. What fantastic service!

I ordered this to use as an alternative lamp on our patio and it works great! The lantern is well built and provides perfect lighting. The 4 modes of light also comes in handy as well as the dimming function. Be aware that this lantern does not come with batteries and would need to be ordered separately (3 D Type batteries).
It’s really easy to use by just pressing the button for each mode. I also leave this outside in the rain a lot and have had no issues whatsoever up to date with it. Awesome product and will definitely recommend to anyone looking for a decent lantern for a good price.

Really good product – it’s super bright on max. mode, but can be dimmed (great for inside the tent if kids are trying to get to sleep).
The different modes are useful (the “warm” setting is great for sitting round the campfire, rather than a harsh white light that many LED lanterns have). It’s also handy to be able to unscrew the top and hang from the hook – the dome gives an even spread of light which is ideal for cooking tents or event shelters.
Batteries last for ages and can be swapped instantly, so easy to get a full weekend of use out of a set of batteries. I prefer this to the rechargeable versions as you don’t need to wait 8hrs to get going again.
Only reason it’s 4* rather than 5* is that it can be tricky to reattach the base after changing the batteries, but it’s fine once you get the knack (it is hard for younger children though).

Got this for a 2 night fishing trip and it did the job perfectly. Very bright for out door use. I did intend on getting the rechargeable version but that was my own mistake. Very good lantern at a good price.
This product was just great.
Its strong it has 2 modes of light blind you white and pretty reasonable orange it done a great job. The only problem i found was its weight and very small handle.
All and all great rounder.
