Takes USB-C, has rubber cap on the charging port. Overall, this is an exceptionally well-built headlamp perfect for a Duke of Edinburgh expedition or cycling. If you’re wanting to draw attention to yourself on the road for your safety, then the flash mode on this is great, rapid to slow flashes, illuminates well. Fits snugly on my head.
The I’m not really sold on the solid metal bar on this for running purposes as it’s not the most comfortable head torches I’ve ever tried. But it does give a solid base for the COB light, I must say I do like that light as it gives a nice spread of light with no hot spots so perfect for around camp etc. The spot light is handy if you need to light up something some distance away so at least there’s some versatility. I really don’t see the point of all the flashing options but that may be what someone is looking for.
Overall it does a decent job of lighting your way but I just don’t personally like the solid metal head band at the front.
Brightness is the best asset of this product – Amazing!. Motion detect not so much! Great for camping though
sensor is very sensitive even you past to the wall get activate.
Works great and blindingly bright, this is a must have.
Worked on my car with this light excellent. Really don’t like the motion sensor mode.
Je men suis servi pour les soins mdicaux de mon cheval pour bien voir la.plaie sous lui et wow la luminosit et la direction de mouvement parfait je ne pouvais pas demander mieux tellement que je vais m’en recommand une autres pour le travaille
Pretty nifty head torch. Very bright and easy to use. It holds a charge really well too.
Super bright, just the job when ya work nights , good battery life , comfortable to use, definitely buy anothe
Comfy to wear. Not the brightest headlamp but it give good illumination. See and be seen. Easy to use. Easy to charge. Bargain value. Recommended.
Overall great unit, I bought another type before this and battery life was too short due to 1100mA battery. This unit has larger capacity. Only down side is a bag/pouch would be nice to keep it clean and all together in my tool bag.
This headtorch looks a bit weird but it’s actually highly practical. You get a 1000 Lumens COB light (main beam) and a separate 500 Lumens XPG LED with 270 wide angle of lighting, which is great for giving you a wider field of view than many other headtorches. You can even turn the torch on by waving your hand in front of it, which is convenient. The battery lasts up to 10 hours. I liked having the choice of the COB light or the XPG one, each are useful in different scenarios. Overall this is a quality headtorch with enough flexibility to be used in a variety of ways. It’s IPX5 waterproof too, so can be worn in the rain.
It is such a wonderful tool to have especially while cycling, camping, climbing or running. This headlamp is very useful for me as I love running especially at night, when there is calm and quiet. It is very easy to use this headlamp, it has 6 different functions, three for the band light (high brightness, low brightness and flash) and three for the main front light (high brightness, low brightness and flash) and it also has zoom in zoom out functions, which I believe is very useful. It also has rechargeable batteries, which can last for almost 6-7 hours. In overall the performance and quality of this headlamp is very good.
I have been looking for something to light up my way in the attic whilst I am climbing up and down as with our home attics they are indeed very small and there is not much room for you to be able to climb in and hold a torch at the same time.
So when this came up it was most certainly a must have for me and a answer to my issue.
It is nice and light weight on the head whilst it does not create any discomfort to my head whilst I am wearing it.
The brightness is just right to light my way into a small attic.
The battery seems really good so far as I have not needed to charge it yet but I only go in and out of the attic now and again so maybe more use it will need charging sooner than mine does.
Overall I find it a really handy head light and it does it’s purpose perfectly in my books.
This looked to be a similar head torch to others that I have had, so I decided to take it for review to see how it compared.
This head torch seems to have a larger and heavier rechargeable battery compartment than the others I’ve had, it certainly has a better battery life so that probably accounts for the additional size and weight. The headband is adjustable and flexible with the exception of the front section, which has a metal backing – this make it uncomfortable and to wear, I got round this by wearing it over a beanie hat.
The ‘strip’ light gives a very bright flood and it literally lights up everything to the front and sides of whichever way you are facing. The ‘focussed’ light which is just above in the centre of the strip light is also very bright, it gives a very concentrated beam – this light is adjustable, up and down. There are a number of lighting modes available but I only use the ‘constant’ light, the motion sensitive switch facility is very useful and I use that when walking my dog.
At the time of my review this head torch would cost you 16.99, it’s a very good head torch but I found it uncomfortable to wear – so I’ll keep this in my tool bag for when I do any DIY.
These head lamps got decent battery capacity. They are quickly chargeable and basically got two modes of fightings that comes handy when you are healing with any sort of equipments in the dark.
Extremely bright and easy to use The cob unit is very bright as is the beam function lamp the on off sensor works well which is a nice feature very handy indeed
Having tested quite a few head torches lately I consider myself a bit of a head torch pro. This one just needs a charge, band already attached and away you go. No plug but type c lead included. The zoom feature to focus the beam is great to search for lost items. It is a VERY bright light so ideal for tricky jobs. No dark corner of our shed is left unsearchable with this. Great. Glad we trialled this. I feel like Cyclops from X-Men in head torches in this style. Cool!
Excellent design. The idea of having a band of light round your forehead is inspired and it works well. You can always use the single spotlight if you want but the light strip works well, from walking in the dark to popping up the attic. The movement activation system is novel and I haven’t really used it but it’s a good idea for power saving and works well. Like most torches these days there’s several modes including strobe but I guess most people are just after a pretty standard torch and this ticks all the boxes (and leaves your hands free). The brightness is advertised as 1000 Lumens and I have to say (from a non-scientific perspective) it is bright! The torch is advertised as IPX5 Waterproof. IPX5 actually means it can resist a sustained, low pressure jet spray, which is pretty good, a lot better than IPX4 but the word “Waterproof” is not technically correct. After charging you’re supposed to have ten hours of use (on low) though I haven’t tested it to destruction yet. It’s a great torch and it will certainly get a lot of use.
Well packaged and well made. Surprisingly bright 270 deg cob light gives a great spread of light for walking or working outside (2nd photo). The XPG spot light is more focused and great for seeing a greater distance (3rd photo, zoomed out)
Operated easily by switches on the side mounted battery pack, there is also a sensor setting that will turn it on or off with just a had waved past the switch, great if wearing big gloves on a cold night. Although it can also be activated (on/off) by passing through doorways or a flapping hood etc but is easily deactivated.
Elasticated strap is easy to adjust for different heads and the battery pack has a level indicator.
Charge via USB C connection.
The lights are mounted on a stainless steel plate at the front with a foam pad on the inside.
Own several head torches and would certainly buy another of these in future.
Great value, highly recommended.
At first glance, it looks very heavy and bulky; and indeed when I tried it on without a hat, it did feel fairly bulkish and heavy.
But when I tested it out in the darkness of the garden with a winter hat on, I couldn’t feel the weight of it much and it felt sturdy; to me.
I like that it is very bright and covers a wide angle; plus also I like that the spotlight can be moved in whichever direction you need it to; and can be toggled between bright and less bright.
I was using it to take the garden bins out to the front of the house in the dark; and it was very useful for this; rather than holding a torch in one hand; and the wheelie bin in another and struggling! So very useful to go hands free for me.
If I dared to walk in the dark with the dogs, I would definitely use this head lamp as it’s very bright; and I’m impressed. I like it.
It is great that it is waterproof; should I ever decide to go out with it in the rain with the dogs or walking or taking out the wheelie bin; or should anything happen in the garden during a storm that I need a light for etc. Or in the house during a power cut.
I would also use it for close up work when grooming my dogs, trimming their nails, feet etc as my eye sight isn’t that great these days and more light is great to see better.
It is a thumbs up from me
Ive never used a headtorch designed like this one before. It has a strip of lamp attached to a wide metal strip which goes across your forehead, its padded at the back and is really comfortable to wear and doesn’t move out of place easily. The lamp is super bright and also has a smaller single bulb lamp above for times when you dont need such a bright light. It’s rechargeable via USB cable and overall a great purchase for the price.
Like many head torches, this has both a LED spotlight and a COB band, plus 6 different lighting modes. The COB band is dazzlingly bright, and shines very broadly. In combination with one of the two power buttons, this will also switch on if you wave your hand at the sensor on the side of the battery pack. There is a downside to this, in that if your head moves near to a solid object while you’re using this mode, the light will switch off. The other power button flips through the COB and spotlight modes. The spotlight isn’t incredibly bright, but will shine for a solid 10 metres or so. It’s affixed to a foam-back led metal headband which isn’t massively comfortable, however; it could be an issue if you plan to wear it for extended periods. Combined with the rechargeable battery, it’s useful to have on hand.
This is a lovely bright head torch.
Ok, it is not the most comfortable to wear.
But it delivers everything that is asked, like a bright light.
It is so useful as it is hands free.
Ideal for using in the loft.
Great for using in the garage.
Overall a neat head torch, just a bit uncomfortable to wear.
This feels like a substantial and serious bit of kit. What you get is a head torch, a charging cable and instructions, in a fairly robust cardboard box.
The head torch is small and it’s mounted on a solid metal strip, which is backed with foam and has the COB strip on the front of it; when I received it, the foam was peeling away, but I’ve pressed it down again and it seems to be holding well. The battery and the control buttons are in a separate box, which is worn to one side of the headband and feels quite chunky. The headband is stretchy and fully adjustable, and the whole thing is reasonably comfortable to wear, but not as comfy as some. I also managed to pull some hair out as I took it off, which wasn’t ideal.
The torch unit has two buttons on top; one to turn the unit on in standard mode and one to turn it on in sensor mode.
In standard mode the choices are centre bright, centre not so bright, centre flashing, cob strip bright, cob strip not so bright, cob flashing and off. I couldn’t find a way to skip the sequence and go straight to off, but that could just be me. These lights are bright and the flashing is serious flashing, to the point where I think it could be excessive.
In sensor mode, there is a red LED light at the side, which is brilliant for reminding you that you’re in sensor mode and need to turn them off properly before putting them away. For me, I struggled to work out the actual sequence of lights and I found that the sensor is very responsive to not only hand movement, but the movement of your head if it puts the item you’re working on or even the wall, within its range, and that’s not so good.
There is a good range of adjustment on the head torch element torch, which makes for easy positioning and is again a bonus. At the time of writing this review, the cost is 13.99 and although this is good, I feel it will be a try it and see experience, as it won’t be right for everyone.
Unfortunately first impressions don’t do this head band justice. You don’t really get any informative instructions ( very poor).
Really like the light controls two switches one for normal operation bug then you get a second switch for waves sensor which j found to be fantastic, very easy to use brilliant.
Good modes of light on the 6inch head band strip snd love the little adjustable spot light very useable.
Down side it feels uncomfortable when you have the band on as it a tight fit.
Price point 14 okay buy disappointing with instructions and fit.
Full disclosure – I received these for free from the Amazon Vine review program.
Arrived on time and were well packaged. Arrived just in time for me to fully charge it before Storm Eunice arrived, so would have been a very useful confidence light source if the power had gone off. Charged in a about 3 hours (was half charged on arrival) so in line with expectations (I used the supplied USB A lead, will try later using a USB C lead (not supplied) to see if its any faster).
I bought this for cycling, and its too cold/wet to do that yet, but I did take it outdoors after dark and proved that both lights were able to illuminate the whole garden on their high setting. Can’t comment on run time yet, but with the quoted battery capacity shouldn’t be a problem. Its fairly heavy so that might be a problem on long cycle rides, will experiment with attaching it to my helmet; but that’s unavoidable given the strong protective casing etc.
Overall I’m very impressed; a minor gripe is that the instructions are a bit unclear and the bad code on the outside of the box takes you to a foreign language web site (I couldn’t find an English version) but functionally it works very well.
I can’t complain with this. I’d recommend it to others and say it does what it says on the tin?
JESELRY LED Head lamp USB Rechargeable
==================================
Very small compact head torch with a small chunky part on the side holding the battery. The front of the band, unlike some of the other head torches, has a metal backing – this does make it a little stiff and hard when wearing. Has a long led band as well as a focus lamp, the latter being moveable so you can move it up and down to target/focus the light better, whereas the headband led floods the area with light. The stiff metal backing makes it very easy to adjust the focus light.
Excellent recharge function, with easy to see indicator of the battery level. The charging port has a waterproof rubber door that unfortunately is prone to falling out when you try to open it. However, as long as you don’t lose it, you can carefully force it back on with a pair of tweezers.
The Lights have different modes – including a flashing epepeleptic fit inducing one. As well as a hand motion on/off mode. The lights cycle through these modes as well as the between the headband led and the focus led – only one lights up at a time, not both at the same time. The motion on/off has a seperate switch for this mode, and it works incredibly well.
The product claims a whopping 1,000 lumens. Unfortunately these claims tend to be exaggerated, as well as adding up the separate focus and headband led lights, even though they dont both light up together at the same time. While I dont have any light measuring kit, these have the same brightness as the ones I have that claim to be around 250 – 350 lumens. To put this into perspective, a 1,000 lumens is approximately between a 60 and 75W light bulb (or 6.5-7W LED), and that lights up a whole room – this headlamp doesn’t. I think around 250 – 300 lumens would be a more realistic value. However saying that, 300 lumens for a torch is *very* bright – enough to light up the area just in front of you very clearly.
A nice head torch with flexible focus light, currently selling for 14,99
This is a really robust head torch . It comes with USB cable for charging and there Is a clear battery status indicator on the side. The headband is adjustable and it is easy to change settings. The light can be near or further away and will also flash. I am very small but found the torch adjusted to my small head. However I must confess I found it a bit heavy and cumbersome. My son thought it was great and as he uses them when detailing cars as well running he is happy to keep i
The box was a bit damaged on the back and crumpled but the head torch was undamaged. It looks really good and works well, it charges on USB type C. I really like the motion sensor which means you can turn on the light with a swipe of your hand which is very practical if you can’t touch it or don’t want to get it messy!
This headband torch is really comfortable to wear, due to it’s soft, adjustable elastic and a layer of foam padding behind the light unit. It is well made and looks and feels good quality.
The light strip is very bright with 2 brightness levels and flashing modes, giving an even illumination. The spot light is mounted in the centre position and also kicks out a decent amount of light, again with the same modes. This is also adjustable both for the angle of the torch and its focal length, from wide to narrow spot. Selection of the illumination and the brightness levels is achieved by repeatedly pressing the power button until you reach the desired setting. You can only however have either strip or spot modes, not both together.
Another cool feature is the motion sensor. Once you’ve set the light in your chosen mode, if you press the second button (looks like a WiFi logo) it will enable the sensor, so a simple wave over the sensor will activate or deactivate the chosen light. When this mode is activated a red LED lights up by the sensor. This works really well.
Charging is done via the USB-C socket, there are LEDs to also show the charging/battery level status. A USB-A to USB-C cable is included, but no charger.
Overall I’m very happy with this light, it works well and I believe is good value.
